I am back! I took a month off uploading the podcast whilst I was busy recording creating a backlog of podcasts with some great really great guests. I am really excited to share them with you.
In this episode, I speak with Micky Burns on some of the myths and misconceptions around metabolism and weight loss.
Terms like 'reset metabolism, metabolic damage and boost your metabolism' are often used in health and fitness marketing campaigns to draw peoples attention but the fact of the matter is a lot of the time there is actually no real evidence-based research behind these terms, it's just a way to confuse you and make you believe you are missing the magic formula.
Don't get me wrong, there is definitely a lot of truth around slower metabolism and metabolism adaptations but Micky and I discuss other factors that you may need to address before playing the 'slow metabolism card'.
