Laura and Ali get back to their recording studio (Laura’s garden office) for a deeply honest conversation about the Full Moon in Scorpio. What starts as a catch-up quickly goes deep, covering astrology, healing, self-worth, grief, and the wisdom hidden inside our most painful experiences.

Key Takeaways

  • The Full Moon in Scorpio is a truth-teller. If things feel messy and emotionally chaotic, that's the point — clarity comes after the confusion.
  • You are not your wounds. You get to choose whether they make you or break you.
  • Start simple with the moon: just notice what sign the full and new moon are in, and see how it resonates. Don't overthink it.
  • The balsamic phase (3.5 days before the new moon) is one of the most overlooked parts of the cycle — use it to rest, retreat, and release.
  • Manifesting isn't luck. It requires journalling, honesty, difficult conversations, and doing the inner work.
  • When something from the past resurfaces, it's not a setback — it's another spotlight on your healing path.
  • Self-love isn't arrogant. Choosing to be in a relationship from a place of "I want you" rather than "I need you" is one of the most powerful shifts you can make.

Tools & Practices Mentioned

  • Oracle cards — specifically the Wisdom in the Wound deck (read in full on this episode)
  • Birth chart / natal chart — understanding your houses and rising sign (mentioned: using an app or website to look up your chart)
  • Moon circles — full and new moon group meditations; discussion of potentially moving to a fixed monthly date to cover the full cycle
  • Journalling — a daily practice for emotional honesty and manifestation work
  • Vision board — specifically for the New Moon in Taurus (~17th May) for manifesting travel and dreams
  • Grounding practices — used in both personal wellbeing and corporate wellbeing talks

Welcome to Instant Minds with Laura and Dallas. We're here for conversations that matter, the ones that hurt, the ones that failed, and the ones that might be laughed and still fight burst. And the thing is not connected. Because that's where the needs get between two and green live. It's just two frames in your air, it's reminded that you're not alone and we're all more connected than we think.

SPEAKER_00

A quick note before we start, some of the conversations we have may be triggering. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, it's okay to pause, step away, or reach out for support. You'll find more guidance and helpful links in the show notes.

SPEAKER_01

So Laura, I've never had that. Ooh, wisdom in the wound. So hello Laura and welcome to this podcast. How are you? I'm good.

SPEAKER_00

When we were gonna cover it.

SPEAKER_01

Well, the last episode you recorded. Oh no, we did a couple on Zoom, didn't we? Yeah. But the ones we recorded were actually are out now. Yeah. Well when we recorded we recorded three at my home, and then well we went no, we went to record the third, didn't we? And we realized that the second one hadn't recorded because we've got chatty chatty chatty, and we had actually I'm just moving this forward a little bit more. We had actually we've we hadn't realised that our mics had expired. Expired. Expired. You need to come over a bit because you're not you're not in the picture. Beb. So we've had a few tech issues as well this morning. Well we're saying we just had tech issues, we've got missing technology.

SPEAKER_00

We didn't, we didn't have tech issues. Basically, you just get a little bit of stress here.

SPEAKER_01

No, what happened is we've got missing microphones. Oh, yes, we've got my fault, which we haven't means we haven't been able to use, and then my phone didn't do immediately what I needed it to do. So I took it off you, and it's full moon, I'm hormonal, and I'm like, I can't cope with tech right now. I know I've worked in it for 20. Do you know what? Jeez, it's 28 years this year I've worked in tech. You don't look old enough, Ali. I know. I know I don't. What did Ross say I look like today? 38. I'll take 38. Oh yeah. I know it was just being kind. But yeah, I'll take that as it is my obviously we're recording this in May. It should go out actually in June, maybe May. It might go out before. We could put it out next week if we wanted. But um it's your birthday month, is what you're saying. It's my birthday in four sleeps.

SPEAKER_00

Very exciting.

SPEAKER_01

And I've had my first present, thanks to you.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. Beautiful, beauty. I know you've got it as well. I've got a piece of that. We don't share the videos, there's absolutely no point in showing anyone.

SPEAKER_01

No, but it's a beautiful picture of a beautiful piece of artwork of a little bee doing its work and it says her work is magic.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you. I just thought with your Reiki, that's well with everything you do. I just thought it was so apt when I saw it. I was like, oh, I've not got one of these prints before. And my moon one's there. Look that she did.

SPEAKER_01

Um Lori's just currently pointing to a picture in her office of a moon.

SPEAKER_00

Let me read it because that's beautiful. She said we couldn't remember what it what it said earlier, but oh, I like this.

SPEAKER_01

You can leave and we can still hear you because we're on the mics.

SPEAKER_00

I know. I bought this when my dad died, and it says the moon is a reminder that no matter what phase I am in, I am still whole. And she made that one as well.

SPEAKER_01

Beautiful. Can I steal that phrase for what I was talking about last night?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So you won't be listening to this. We are going to actually post this live, I think, today. Not live, but we're going to post a bit of this clip today, so it's relevant to so we are today, it's Friday, the first of May. We're in a new month. What do they say? Pinch punch something. First of the month, you've got to do it before 12 o'clock, haven't you?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, first of the month. If you pinch punch, I'll punch you back. Pinch, punch, pinch, pinch, punch. Pinch punch, first of the month, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Pinch punch, first of the month. Anyway, so it's the first of May when we're recording this. But it's also full moon in Scorpio, which basically means we're all in absolute emotional chaos right now. Or that's how it might feel. But we've also Uranus has moved out of Taurus, so especially if you are a Taurine, an Aquarius. I'm trying to think it's Leo. And I want to say it's Scorpio. Yeah. Taurus has been in Uranus since 2000. I want to say, it's eight years it's been in there. And that means people who thought they had loads of stability, thought they'd made decisions based on all the right stuff, have literally just been through a massive emotional washing machine for the last eight years. Everything's been disrupted, everything's been thrown up in the air. Everything that they thought was their was their foundation wasn't, and it's just been exploded. Hello, what's happened to me since 2017? I've gone from breakdown to breakthrough to breakdown to break through, and I have come through the other side. But this last week I thought was going to be like euphoric, really. Like, yes, I've finally come through it, which is how I've been feeling this year. But this, oh my gosh, in the last few days, I have had things come up from my past that I thought had gone, and I mean gone. And I'm not even talking about ex-husband stuff, I'm talking about parent parent stuff, I'm talking about childhood relationships, like teenage relay. Honestly, even yesterday, a song came on the radio and it was a Celine Dion song. Now that Celine Dionne song links back to my first crush relay, right? But that isn't what came up for the first crush. And it was actually to do with a relationship, something that happened with one of my parents that came up, and I thought, how am I linking that song now to that? I know this might sound a bit wooing, a bit crazy, but I just all this pain came up and I felt it in my whole body, and it just went. And this, and it was confusing because I was like, Oh, this song's come on, and I normally think of all my childhood sweetheart. And I even can't even say his name. This happened, you know how open I am. That's not a name, I'm gonna repeat. Oh, he was lovely, but then not so it turned out. Oh, but then oh yeah, I'm just sorry, I think he lives on the other side of the world now as well. Oh, that's a shame. Yeah, and he unfollowed me on social, so I think I irritated him, which is why he's so much. But I'm not gonna mention his name, but no, it's like my first proper crush when I was like a teenager, anyway. Let's stop talking about that now. I'm going on, but then but what actually came up for me was something that happened around that time, and now I this is what's happening for me around healing the past. It's I'm like the bad stuff, I'm now reconnecting to good stuff, it's like I'm remembering the good stuff as well. Does that make sense? Like, it wasn't just a hard time, and it I don't think that is part of your healing, but anyway, this thing came up, and I felt this anger, and then it's just oh shifted out of me. What I'm worried now is that when that song comes up, it won't make me off, it's gonna make me go, oh, I remember that time that that thing shifted. But it was confusing, and that's what the Scorpio full moon moon tends to do. It can really, really confuse you, and you think you're over something, or you think you've dealt with something, and bang, it literally slaps you around the face, but then it comes up and it it's like you have your light bulb moment with it, and then that's like I always think now about a path towards of healing, and obviously, we don't know what that really is towards because we're forever healing and we're forever going through experiences, and I don't think you're ever healed, you know. I think you can be healed from certain things, but we're always on this journey, and it's like for me yesterday say you've got a path and it looks really dark ahead, but you've got all the little cat's eyes lighting up as you go, or the little lights pinging up, like little spotlights. It was like another spotlight lit, and I feel that that's what this moon does, it it brings up confusion for you to get the clarity, and it's like light bulb moment, boom, I can step forward again. And this is all by the way, coming from my intuition right now, obviously, and what I've studied and everything as well. Um, but also with the Scorpio, it's very passionate, it's very fiery. Everyone thinks the Scorpio is a water sign, but it's not, it's um it's a fire. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Everyone thinks it's a fire sign, that's it.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, but it's a I actually just read in the new the Oh, I need to moon fade check for me.

SPEAKER_01

It's not an earth sign, is it, Scorpio? Hold on, it'll be here. Scorpio is probably a water sign, actually. But people tend to think it's a fire sign and it's not a fire sign. I can't think off the top of my head. It's not as you say it here either. Could you just quickly have a look on your phone? Because I can't but it's a very passionate sign, it's a very transformative sign. Yeah. Um scorpions kind of they're quite stubborn, yeah. They can be quite snappy. That's Charlie. But they're actually beautiful souls. Well, you know, the some of them aren't because there will be Scorpios in the world that aren't necessarily beautiful souls, but they are beautiful souls, but they don't necessarily show it at first. You have to get to know them. Does that make sense? Yeah, but yeah, so therefore the Scorpio energy is quite hidden, and then it kind of comes up and it kind of chokes you a little bit, and that's why people might be feeling a little about that. It is a water sign, of course it's a water sign, it's a Scorpio, but people think it's a fire sign because of how fiery and feisty and passionate the Scorpion age energy is. Really, really good time for sex right now, especially for taurines and scorpions. Yeah, and kind of earth, earth and water. There's you might find right now if you're an earth sign, you just want to go and jump in the sea, and if you're a uh a water sign, you really actually just want to get really grounded. And that's why you find because I'm a tourine, I'm an earth sign, I absolutely love being near the water, I love being in the water, and that's because I'm so you know, the the earth signs love to the freedom of water and the water signs love the grounding of earth because of just how how we are in the heart, what the energy that is with us. I don't I'm learning still, as you can tell, but I find it really, really interesting. And when I think of all the people I know, and you think, yeah, that's actually and what they're going through as well. Yeah, it really, really does make sense.

SPEAKER_00

It says here it's time to a time to work with accepting all parts of ourselves, the light and the shadow. Empowerment is calling, how will you step into your truth?

SPEAKER_01

Yep. For this formula. Say that again, just read that again.

SPEAKER_00

A time to work with accepting all parts of ourselves, the light and the shadow, empowerment is calling. How will you step into your truth?

SPEAKER_01

Yep, exactly that. So stuff comes up from your past, gotta let it go.

SPEAKER_00

If you're still stuck in the past, you're not living your truth. Yeah. It says it's a time to connect to magical, the your magical and mystical side, yeah. What passions are stirring for you now?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So the full moon today is gonna be at 6.23. But it was lovely last night, wasn't it, when we were walking.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, it was absolutely but yeah, so it's you're being tested on your truth, and if you've been dishonest, this is this is quite a season for things to be exposed. Because again, the Scorpios like the truth, yet they're really good at hiding it. But they want the truth, they want the truth from others, but they're quite good at hiding the truth, the real guarded, they're quite guarded, but then when they express themselves and they really do show their truth, they're just so passionate. Does that make sense? Yeah, and then you've got the taurine bull, who again I explained this to in fact, one of my colleagues yesterday, me and her were getting really wound up about something, and then I said, We realise we're both taurines, in fact, we're both birthdays a few days apart, and I said, the thing is about with us taurines is we can be quite easy going and we're going along and we're going along, and then one thing, and it just has to be one thing that makes us really angry, and it's like so. Can you imagine we're in Taurus season with that Scorpio passionate energy, the bull and the Scorpio, it's it's fiery energy at the minute. So if you're not in your truth, if you're not living your truth, if you're angry about anything, this energy is bringing it to the surface. And if you don't know how to express your anger because you've been taught not to, which is what was causing my anxiety, then it yeah, it could be a fiery few days, both through, especially in relationships. So, but again, this isn't going to be necessarily relevant, it's relevant really to today. When someone's listening to this, they might be like, well, that's not relevant to now because it's you know, it's a month later or what have you. But actually just learning and understanding the different energies, forget star signs because you think star signs in a magazine and then it puts people off. But if you start to think of our astrology and you start to explore even just the basics and understand the different types of energy, and it's it's really interesting and really fascinating. And you move away from thinking, how can you know a twelfth of the universe be the same because we've all been given this star sign? And you move more towards understanding energy and how somebody born on that date in that energy, but with the sun rising over there and the moon in over there and everything.

SPEAKER_00

So it depends on what they've been through, like because if they're if they've been through a lot, they actually might not be their true selves. Yeah, that makes sense. So it might be that they're not actually living the way that they were meant to live in a way, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And again, it's about energy. You know, when you read the star signs and it says, Oh, so this week, taurines, you're gonna find a new love, and you think to yourself, okay, well, if you're in a relationship and you're really happy, you're not really gonna be finding new love, but take it's just stop looking at the logic of it and think beyond the logic of that. You're finding a new love. It might be the taurine energy is bringing you um new love, whether it be a passion, love for yourself, releasing a block. And yeah, you could say we're just looking for something in that, but again, I look beyond the logic now. I just think of the energy, and when you start to understand the different types of energy, so I'm a taurine energy because that's my star sign, but my rising sign, which is where what was rising in the east when I was born, yeah, it which is what's in your first house. I'm a Virgo, so I present as a Virgo, and actually that's quite true if you think about a Virgo a quite what's the word? Careful, yeah, exactly. I'm being really careful. I want to Virgos aren't corporate, corporate's the wrong word, but Virgos present themselves quite professional. Every Virgo I know actually is like there's just like present yourself in quite a professional way. Like, I don't walk in the room and people go, Oh, she's really woo-woo. I walk in the room, I can't expect it's really hard for me to articulate. Yeah, like I am I do present myself like a Virgo when you when you read upon this and do the research on it. I'm not articulating myself.

SPEAKER_00

What do you do know about Uranus and the eight years? Uranus. Uranus. How do you know about your uranus? How did you know about that and the eight years?

SPEAKER_01

Because you Yes, Uranus has been in Taurus for it's just come out, it's 26. It's been in there since I think it's actually been in there, it's the end of 2017, beginning of 2018. I want to say.

SPEAKER_00

How do you know that though?

SPEAKER_01

Just because I'm not questioning it, I'm just wondering like I just the research that I do and the books that I read and the thing my social media. Let's talk about your social media thing. My social, my Instagram is all about the moon and the wood. I don't follow on my personal Instagram. I see some personal stuff, but I've got my business Instagram, and a lot of the things I follow means I do learn more about the moon and astrology. Um, I'm so just because I've done the moonology course, doesn't mean I'm an expert by any stretch of imagination. You probably are for others, though. I love I'm just learning as I go, and I don't know it all you'll hear when I talk on this. Like even now, it's like I think I've read, it doesn't mean it's fact necessarily. And I have to I do come with that disclaimer because I sometimes read things, I'm like, well, that's quite conflicting to what I read the other day. Well, let's explore that, and then you go, oh, okay, fine. I understand it from their viewpoint, I understand it from theirs. But for me, it's all about energy, and I know that I conservative, not corporate, that's the word. So burgers are quite conservative, yeah, and I don't mean that from a political point of view. No, no, no. They are quite conservative, and they I wouldn't say they are all because you can't again, you can't say, Oh, a big, massive twelfth of the world, you know. They're confident people, but they're quietly confident. There's a quietly confident, you know, they're not overbearing, they're good advisors. So, but then I'm Taurus, I'm a bit of a bull. So, although I'll present myself as like quite unassuming, I'll walk into an office, but then sit me down.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, basically.

SPEAKER_01

You sit me down, and then the Taurus, passionate woo, you know, manifesting convert, you know, and then I you then I'm overbearing.

SPEAKER_02

You see what I mean?

SPEAKER_01

So how I present myself isn't necessarily when you get to the core of me. Does that make sense?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it does make sense. Going back to like like you saying that you're not you don't know everything, can you learn it? But I do I think it's down to interpretation. Like I I did uh I do a full and new moon meditation in my little group, and I think to myself, I read so many different things about the same full moon that are slightly different, yeah, but it's just down to interpretation. I think you'll hear what exactly what you need to hear.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Like I I'll say on the moon circles, you know, oh, so this week we're going to release, and you need to really release the blocks of something you're holding on to from the past because it's the full moon in Scorpio. You know, I can imagine they're like, you said that last month when it was the full moon in Sagittarius. Like, do you see what I mean? I'm not here, but it's it's more themes. So when you've got the different houses, and you've got you basically all got your like your birth chart, and in that you've got your houses, and there's 12 houses, and depending on where you're born, depends on effectively which star sign. I'm using that language because that's what's common. So my first house, because of where I was born and where what was rising in the east when I was born, is Virgo. So my first house is Virgo, and then literally you go around, and each house represents a part of your life. So the first house is your personality, how you present yourself, and then the different houses cover your love and romance, it covers travel and opportunity. Different, I'm trying to think off the top of my head now. It covers all the different so depending on when you were born and where your houses sit, then depends on how the moon influences you at that time of the year. So I'm trying to think Scorpio is in, so it goes Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius. Is that right?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I don't know. I don't know, they're in order.

SPEAKER_01

So right here. I've got the right here. So you've got Scorpio, Sagittarius. I want to know. Scorpio, I want to say, is in my third. No, it won't be in my third house. Let's have a look. I know it's Libra, I was right. So Virgo is my first house, Libra is my second house.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh Sagittarius is after Scorpio, of course it is. So Scorpio is in my third house. So opposite my third house directly will be the sixth house. Let me just work this out, sorry. Three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Yeah, my ninth. I was thinking opposite the three, six is three nine. So my third house is Scorpio and my ninth house is Taurus. So whatever's going on in my third house, which is I wish I had my guide here. In fact, is it in here? Can I use your phone? Because I want to do this, I want to guide this correctly. I want to make sure I'm getting this factually correct. Because as I said, I'm still learning. What is there in here? Have you got your phone? Yeah. Has it got the houses in here? Oh no, I don't think so. So can you just check your grab your phone? And I just want you to put your houses. So your first house is your personality. I want to say your third house is to do with relationships. And what this does though, the reason I'm saying this is it gives you an indication of what you need to release on and what you need to manifest with the moons. So I'm giving like a bit of uh a quick lesson here, but I don't I've got I know that the different houses of the the the different houses represent different things, but I can't think of what they are off the top of my head. I've always got my little guide with me. Let's have a look. It should just be a list. Let me moon houses. So no, we don't do it. No, it's uh let me have a look. Do you want to talk while I'm doing this?

SPEAKER_00

No, it's all right, I'll just cut you out.

SPEAKER_01

Here we go, here we go. This is what we're doing. So one is yourself, how you appear, the beginnings, the body, uh first impressions are how people perceive you when they first meet you. So the second is money, the third one, oh okay, it isn't really which one's relationships then? Oh, five is romance and relationships. So three is the mind, communication, siblings, social activities, and education. So in my ninth house is Taurus, which is travel, wisdom, philosophy, higher education, law and religion, relationships, but cross cultural relationships, learning and ethics. So in my third house is Scorpio. So because it's a full moon in Scorpio today, I have to think about my third house. So my third house. Houses about the mind, thinking, communication, my relationship, my siblings. And I've got to think it's on early education, my neighbours, interests. And I have to think, okay, is there any blocks in my life right now concerning any of those things? Is anything coming up for me right now I need to release and let go to do with like, am I overthinking? Am I struggling with my mental health at the moment? Am I having negative thoughts? What am I getting triggered by? Okay, this is the moon to let it go with, it will be more powerful. I could let go about other stuff that's bothering me or what have you, but this is where I should do some of my focus. But then in my opposing, we're in Taurus energy at the moment because of a Taurus. Um so you then look at the opposite, which is Taurus to Scorpio, and which is my ninth house, which is to do with travel, relations, learning ethics, wisdom, and things like that, philosophy. So actually, this would be a really good time for me to manifest with this full moon things to do with my Taurus energy. And I'm a I'm a Taurine as well, so it's gonna be really potent. It's really potent time for me. So if I have any travel wishes or dreams, like I need to manifest them today, they're going on my vision board today. With the new moon that's coming in next, which will be the new moon in Taurus, around the 17th, I think. That's where so whatever I release today is gonna help me manifest what I want with the new moon, but you can start planting those seeds and putting those attentions in today, and then you kind of like with the new moon, you just set your intentions really set your intentions. But again, you think about whilst I'm setting these intentions, am I still holding on to that overthinking? You know, it might be, for example, I'm I'm jumping all over the place a little bit here, so I'm sorry if I am. If you are overthinking about booking a holiday because you don't think you can afford it, and you think, well, I've got that part of money, but if I use that part of money, you're worrying about money, it's gonna be a block on you booking that holiday or that dream trip. And so what it's saying is release the blocks of money and the trip will come. Do you see? Yeah, so again, it's this coming back to you going completely going back to your point around interpretation. And it's this is how I've interpreted it, I feel, and I've spent so much time, and that's why I find it quite hard in these situations to do it for like remember what's everything for everybody, because I do very much look at it for self in because I'm still learning for myself. It has made such a difference to my life to understand my chart for me, to go through it, and then it is like okay, the full moons in. Oh hi Rob. The full moons in don't be Sagittarius next month if it's Scorpio this month. Okay, Sagittarius is actually about freedom and fun. And so next month I'll be like, what's holding me back right now to have fun and freedom? But then I'll look at the opposing, which is opposite Sagittarius, which will be Gemini, and I'll be like, okay, so what does Gemini, where is that in my chart? What does that represent? Okay, what's blocking me here that's stopping me from getting what I want there?

SPEAKER_00

Does this make sense? Yeah, it makes sense to me.

SPEAKER_01

Probably doesn't make sense to you, understand me though, in the way I go on.

SPEAKER_00

No, I think it does make sense. And but I think I I'd I would say to people, if you're like, oh god, I just really want to understand this. I would just start with focusing on on understanding what the full and the new moon means.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And looking at what the stars, you know, what the sign is that it's in, and then seeing how how you feel that relates, but don't overthink it too much. And that's a really good place, I think, to start because I just I just look at the full, I don't go into as much depth as you, I find it's so fascinating, but I don't go into as much depth as you, I just look at and know that whatever I need at that time is what I'll receive.

SPEAKER_01

No, exactly, and actually, I I don't really look into it that now I know this sounds silly, so I do sometimes but it comes up for me, and then I'll go and it's more like I'll go and look and look at oh, that now makes sense. Um I will go and look and refer sometimes. The other thing is as well, you write, just start with the full and the new moon. But interestingly, I have put a pause on the moon circles just because of what's been going on in my in my personal life and wanting to show up a little bit more for the kids. And it the thing about full moon and new moon circles, you have to do them as the full and new moon fall, and it's not consistent. Well, it is consistent in the way that they have they're on a cycle, but it's not consistent. Oh, it's the third Wednesday of the month or something. But no, I think what I absolutely love the idea of now is maybe bringing moon circles back, but with starting, let's move, especially because of how a lot of the ladies because it is has been all ladies and women that have come to my ladies and women are the same thing by the way, that have come to my groups. I think because of where they're on their journeys and stuff now, maybe moving away from working with the moon just at the new and the full and going beyond that and actually looking at the whole cycle. So maybe doing it on a fixed date every month.

SPEAKER_00

You made me look at the other bits of the cycle because I remember you saying to me just how important those are because we kind of miss them.

SPEAKER_01

Well, the balsamic phase of the moon is so important, so it's the three and a half days before the new moon, and it is where we're we're moving into darkness. The new moon is darkness, you know, there is no light. So they have a days to rest, retreat, don't push on, don't push forward, just retreat, rest, let things come up, release them, and just go into that new moon energy and allow yourself to basically re-energize when that energy comes in, like boom, now off we go for the next two weeks, and then you obviously build up from that new moon to the full moon in that two-week cycle, and as we're doing that, it's the waxing. And I I remember you've got the waxing and waning moon, and the waxing gives us is you are building up, and I just think waxing is if you think about a candle building up when the wax is coming down, that's how I remembered it when I was learning, and that's the build-up, so your energy is building, it's building up to that full moon. So that's when you put in the working, you put the effort in, you sign the deals, you have the difficult conversations, and then with the when the you hit the full moon, you're then waning, you're falling, you're losing your so just let things be, let things happen, be present, let trust the process, and just think, let things fall away, let things manifest, and let things come, and then you go to the new moon. Sorry, the full moon, and then you're back on that cycle again, and then you've got the the oh, I'm not gonna go into all of it now, but between each, the full, between the full and the new moon, you also have halfway points as well. And those halfway points are really important because, well, depending on who you are and where you are and what you're doing, but say in the full moon to the new moon, that halfway point is like, okay, where am I between here and there? What do I need to release before we get to that new moon? And then that's the week to go and have the cry, go and have the difficult conversations again and let things fall away. But you also don't have to overthink it, you can just it help me understand me a little bit more and about how I am, why I am at certain times, not just on my you know, on my own cycle, yeah, but but I now am fully aligned with the moon on my own cycle as well. Yeah, yeah. So, but it moves obviously. But yeah, it's interesting.

SPEAKER_00

I love it, I do. I find it really fascinating. So fascinating, but and I think to myself, we've said this before in another podcast. Does it really matter to anyone else whether they believe in that? Does it help you on your journey and your dividing? No, I really don't care.

SPEAKER_01

I did another corporate talk, was it last week, to a group of people that are going through a lot of difficult change. And I actually started with I've already done a talk for them before this change was announced, and they didn't nobody knew that this change was coming. And it was just a here's your toolbox, look after your well-being. They're in quite high-pressured roles, blah, blah, blah. And it was blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. It was my normal talk. And then I was asked to come back because I've had this announcement, and it was for tools to deal with change, especially when your change might mean you're exiting the company. That was quite a difficult one because I'm talking to people going, look after your well-being, whilst you don't know if you've got a job at the end of it. But I actually decided to go in a little bit with my woo around being grounded, and it wasn't like I didn't get my crystals out and I wasn't spreading, you know, woofing sage all over the place. But what I was doing is I was talking about grounding, which a lot of people still consider very woo. And I was talking about remaining present, and then at one point I actually spoke about some, you know, if you're grieving, just write a letter to heaven, and then in that audience, someone did say, Oh, I actually speak to my relative that passed. And she goes, and I know that makes me batshit crazy, or like it was around those kind of words that she used, box mink, box crazy. I can't remember what the words are boxing from something like that. And I said to her, I don't think that that's what it sounds, but I can imagine quite a few people in here do think that's how it sounds. And I just said the one thing that really helped me get through the loss of grandi was talking to him. And was I talking to him? I really believe, well, I still do, and I went, and I know there's so many people, I just said it out loud, and that was probably the most I've pushed it, if pushing it's the right phrase to use in the corporate space. I'm sat there with a load of people in my business that are in a different part of the business telling them I talk to dead people, but uh you know, or I talk to my granddad, and I said, But do you know what? I really don't care what anybody else thinks in this room about me speaking to my granddad. You might think I'm crazy, but it has helped me process grief. And I'm sitting here today, I don't feel like I'm crazy, I was anxiety free, I'm feeling really positive about my future, and I know that he helped me. I didn't say it is I'm kind of ablibbing a little bit now. So I've really so me talking about the moon, understanding the moon, understanding the phases, I release with the full moon, I manifest with the new moon, and guess what? I've healed from a lot of things, and guess what? I'm manifesting for fun.

SPEAKER_00

Didn't we say recently that we won't be the crazy ones at some point, though? The people that aren't doing it will be the crazy one.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I say you're crazy, you need to do this. Do you ever get friends that say things like, Oh, you're so lucky, you always land on your feet, or oh, of course you did, of course you manifested that. And I'm like, but but no, it's because you do the work. And this is this this does sound arrogant, and this is what I hate is that I feel like I'm sounding arrogant saying it, but I sometimes go, How the hell did I get that? How the hell did that happen? And you know, recently it's it has gone crazy. Manifesting's just been insane, especially financially. And I've gone, how the hell? And then because Ali, you actually spend the time doing the work. Yeah, I shed the tears, I have the difficult conversations. I am honest now, I just say how I'm really feeling, I write my journal, I do my cards, but it's just become part of my everyday.

SPEAKER_00

That actually leads us nicely onto this card. Wounds in the wisdom. No, wait. With the other way around. Wisdom in the wounds.

SPEAKER_01

Ooh, which is where I love this. And you say that card's never come out before.

SPEAKER_00

Not for no, not for me. I'd not don't recognise that picture. As for other people, I'll read it while you're looking at the picture. The wisdom in the wound oracle comes to you today to encourage you to find the wisdom in your wound and set yourself free. Every human being experiences universal wounds such as rejection, betrayal, abandonment, grief, or loss. Our wounds can go unrecognized and impact our lives in different and unexpected ways. We can be too scared to love, we can be afraid of being our true selves, we can feel a lack of self-worth and struggle to trust ourselves and others. You are not your wounds, you get to choose whether your wounds make you or break you. At any given moment, you have the power to change the meaning of an event or a situation that is having a negative impact on you or holding you back in some way. The universe is always supporting and guiding you to something better, even if it doesn't feel like it at the time. In hindsight, we can often see the silver lining, golden nugget, or wisdom in the experience. As a result of that wound, that intervention, we took a path or direction that led to something beautiful happening for us. We can see how that wound was actually an intervention from the universe from our highest good. When we can see this wisdom in the wound, the wound loses its power over us and does not impact us in the same way anymore. Do you know?

SPEAKER_01

I love that.

SPEAKER_00

Everybody now will have something in their mind that has come up for them when I'm reading that. And I think with that. I think people need to sit with that and really think about that.

SPEAKER_01

Something immediately came up for me then. What came up for you?

SPEAKER_00

My dad's death, actually, because I accept that I think that this is always gonna happen. So whether I go, could I have done a bit more? Could I have helped him in another way? I don't think so, because I think I truly believe that when it somebody's time is here, that's that's that was their time, and that's really difficult because people leave us too early, and that doesn't make sense. But what I see is I see people because of what's happened to them go on to do amazing things. So for instance, uh, you know, a one of your children died, an awful experience. But look at all the charity work that some of the parents are doing now to raise awareness of whatever condition it was, or to raise money, and I I I feel like that's where the wisdom has come from, those really difficult times in people's lives.

SPEAKER_01

And I I've said something to me before the the amount of research that comes then from the passing of a loved one then leads on to groundbreaking discovery that actually helps humankind.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And so there's the wisdom in the wound.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Do you know an interesting one? I don't know whether you saw it in the news, but that doesn't help the loved one that's lost. No, but it gives them purpose a lot of the time when that would be quite difficult for people to hear if they've lost somebody recently. And I hear that because I have been there, like, and what I struggled with when my dad died is everything happens for a reason. Well, I believe that, but when I was when my dad died, I was like, Well, I can't relate it to this.

SPEAKER_01

You want to punch him in the face.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. But what's interesting, I don't know whether you've heard about this story in the news at the moment, but there's a lady who lost her son at 23 about I don't know whether it was four years ago, but she's going to Switzerland and pay him to die. And I thought, God, that is a horrible, horrible situation to be in. And actually, one of the things that I remember before my dad died, you remember I I think I've said it on this podcast, I was doing so much healing, I was doing so much work on myself, and I thought this is leading to something, this is making me stronger for something that's going to happen, and I wasn't sure what it was, and then I realised it was it was my dad passing away. And me and you always go on about connection with self. Yeah, because how can we possibly come back from such a difficult time in our lives if we don't have that connection with ourselves first and realise that those relationships are something that happens along the way, but it's not the whole story, and so obviously she's lost that. I can't obviously speak for her, it's just this is just my opinion, but she's obviously lost what is her purpose now.

SPEAKER_01

But boy, maybe you say that what's her sole purpose? Her sole purpose might be to create conversation, yeah, around this, yeah. You know, when you really rip it back and pull it back again, we've got to be very careful about talking about someone we don't really know and we don't fully know their circumstances and things, but they you this is it, you just you can everyone can have an opinion on this and be like, but until you're that person or you're that soul, and again, that soul purpose might be actually exactly what she might actually be following her soul purpose.

SPEAKER_00

It's like what I've just said. I always think that there's a time when people are gonna pass away and there's nothing we can do about it, and maybe this is her time.

SPEAKER_01

That following her soul purpose, maybe laws may get changed, yeah, freedom might be given to people that want freedom. It's like we're it's I don't know, it's I don't know, it's a really I I immediately saw it was like that shock, and then I thought again, I I and again it this might be too deep for some of our listeners, but I always go to what does the soul want, what does the soul feel.

SPEAKER_00

I just don't think it's any of our right to get in the way of that. No, exactly. I don't think it's anyone's right to have such an opinion on it that it changes the course of what's supposed to happen. No, I know, I know. But this is really different.

SPEAKER_01

But look, the wisdom in the wound is actually I love the card, absolutely love this card. Yeah, because it's just a woman standing looking up and like light pouring down on her through darkness. Uh and it's interesting, as soon as you were talking there about wisdom in the wound, I my immediate thing was it took me to when me and my ex broke up before we got married, we had a breakup, I was absolutely devastated. He went on a lad's holiday, came back and finished with me that the day that he got back. And he he moved out because we were we were living together and he went to live with his friend. And one morning I was re I'd woken up, my friend had stayed the night before, we'd had some real chats. I missed him so much. And I sat downstairs, like I lived in a flat, but I had like a downstairs bit, and I sat in the room downstairs, which is like a storage cupboard, and I my heart broke, and I phoned him up and was literally like, Why are you doing this to me? Why are you doing this to me? And he was like, Go away, go away. Like it's just no, but I was literally begging him, and I feel quite vulnerable sharing this now. Um, and but that was a turning point for me then because it was like he shut me down, that was it then, right? I needed to get over it, I needed to move on, and I started to move on, and then it was him months later that came knocking on the door. Um, and I remember when he came knocking at the door, I actually felt really free, and I was having a little bit of fun the time. And he was like, I still love you, I can't believe how I've treated you, I want you back. Please let's make a go of this. And I I was on a crossroads and I really did have a choice, and I remember thinking the easiest thing to do is not get back with him, take that path. But I decided I did still love him, and I I remembered how I felt when I was begging him, and I thought, you do love him. I I saw him as my soulmate, I saw him as he's my future, and I decided to take the path that was actually harder and get back with him, right? And I now know I stepped into a wound and I carried on with a wound, which was he validated me, he told me he still loved me, he told me he still needed me, he told me he still wanted me, and that was all I wanted to hear. But that was a massive wound of someone who just had no self-love and no self-worth. And I carried on that relationship, and don't get me wrong, we actually had a great time. We went travelling, we got married, we had our two beautiful children, and I wouldn't change that. But I now look back and I stepped into a wood because actually, I say the easiest thing was would have been not to get back with him, but had I not got back with him, I was actually saying I'm healed, but staying with him was actually I was still I wasn't I wasn't healed, I had so much trauma still stuck in me, and he made me feel safe. And but now obviously going through divorce now and that and everything, I've gone on this journey of where I have actually fell in love with me as arrogant and as I do really like me. I actually think I'm a really great person, but I love me, I don't need anybody else. Yes, I choose to be in a relationship with Josh, but I now realise my marriage broke down because about two years before we, or even a year before we separated, I did say to him, I've got to a point where I realise I don't need you, I want you. And I think that was a crumbling for him subconsciously. I don't think I just don't know because I didn't need anybody else, I was discovering me and how strong I was. I've gone through a second break breakdown, and you saying this about wisdom in the wound, my divorce has really my and the reason I gave the background is because I've gone on this path, I've gone on this journey, and I'm so glad I did because I would never have my babies, I wouldn't change that for the world, and even the experiences that I've had with him, I'm really grateful for. We've done some incredible things, we really have, but I realised that I took the path of the wound, and I had to heal from that at some point in this because that's my soul's journey, and I had to learn from it and what have you. And that's the divorce has taught me, and that's why when you were talking there, the first thing I thought was I was sitting in that room crying, I was begging for him. I've got to a point in my life. I love the people in my life, and I'm with the people in my life because I love them. I don't need I just need to love May and I need my safety for me. And that's the wisdom of the way.

SPEAKER_00

Is that really harsh? No, because I re I I listened to something the other day saying we don't think about death and loss enough. We focus so much on these connections and think it's a forever thing that we don't ever think enough about the fact that that's not forever. Yeah. And I thought that is so true. We're so stuck in sometimes, and I know obviously me and you've got other beliefs, we're so stuck sometimes in just the human side that we forget that there's a whole other thing going on.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I think that might me and you and some others that might be listening to it have come to that realisation. Is that to say that if somebody that was in our lives passed away, that we wouldn't struggle? No, absolutely not. We are still human, but we can see light. And I said to you in night, you were like, Are you okay when my dad died? And I was like, No, I'm not okay, but I will be. And I just kept repeating that, no, I'm not okay, but I will be. But I if had I not done the work for myself, I'd have been like, No, I'm not okay. Like full stop. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. So I just think it's so important to just find yourself amongst all of this, but on a soul level, not on a human level.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and that's where someone's just switched off and gone, that's too deep for me. And that's absolutely okay. Oh, that's okay because we're not. Because we go deep. We are gonna change the name of this podcast, or we go deep.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, in fact, one of the last episodes we put on. I think that was. Wow, it was we were gonna call it that. I know, I changed it. It's not for it, I don't I didn't like it, I don't know why.

SPEAKER_01

No, I prefer it. No, I think it's funny because it's it was just a catch line. Right, I think we're probably gonna carry on this conversation at some point, but yeah, it's a really nice time to stop.

SPEAKER_00

So, yeah, I agree. So, on that note, thanks. Thanks. Yeah, nice to be back in the shed.

SPEAKER_01

Nice to be back in the shed, nice to be back with our oracle cards talking about the wounds, and geez, we've been on quite the journey for this one, yeah. Um good conversation the moons and the wounds.

SPEAKER_00

The moons and the wounds, that's what this episode's called. There you go. See you later. Oh, I've got to stop recording. The dots, no, the dots, the dots, the dots, the dots.

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_00

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Dotty.

SPEAKER_00
