Casually Spiraling
Welcome to Casually Spiraling with me, Julie Bishop — just a tall girl in this world, trying to make sense of life, dating, money, relationships, identity, culture… you know, all the things. I’ve learned that my thoughts don’t always land with the people around me — so I’m here to break it all down, talk it out (probably overshare), and maybe find some who don’t think I’m totally crazy after all

we’re back for round three. Today I’m talking about something that feels super core to who I am: moving away from home without knowing a single person or even visiting first. I’ve done it three times now and it’s been equal parts terrifying and life-changing.
I get into why I think experiencing new places and new people can be so good for personal growth, even if you end up moving back home later. I also talk about how each move pushed me out of my introverted shell and how living in different parts of the country shaped my values, confidence, and independence.
I wrap up with the big question: should everyone try living somewhere new at least once, or is staying close to home just as valid? Thank you for listening and sticking with my rambles—ily, byeee.
