Andy Goveia, an ISU alum (MS ’18, BS ’13), teaches 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies at Thomas Metcalf Laboratory School (Illinois State University Laboratory Schools) and is a Non-Tenure Track Professor in the School of Teaching and Learning at Illinois State. He is passionate about helping students see connections in the world around them through his classes as well as ensuring they develop into well-rounded, thoughtful, capable humans. In his role as Faculty Associate in the Laboratory Schools, Andy encourages pre-service teachers to become future classroom leaders, as well as connects research and practice in his classroom.

Ben Webb (MS ’20, NBCT '19, BA ’10) teaches 9th and 12th Grade English and Theatre electives at University High School (Illinois State University Laboratory Schools). He is passionate about educational technology and pedagogy in the secondary classroom. As a Faculty Associate in the Laboratory Schools, Ben works with students, actors & technicians, and future educators to hone their craft and work towards new and exciting possibilities whether on stage or in the classroom.
