Andy Goveia

Andy Goveia, an ISU alum (MS ’18, BS ’13), teaches 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies at Thomas Metcalf Laboratory School (Illinois State University Laboratory Schools) and is a Non-Tenure Track Professor in the School of Teaching and Learning at Illinois State. He is passionate about helping students see connections in the world around them through his classes as well as ensuring they develop into well-rounded, thoughtful, capable humans. In his role as Faculty Associate in the Laboratory Schools, Andy encourages pre-service teachers to become future classroom leaders, as well as connects research and practice in his classroom.
