Michaeleen Doucleff

Michaeleen Doucleff is an NPR global health correspondent and the New York Times bestselling author of Hunt, Gather, Parent (over one million copies sold, translated into more than thirty languages) and Dopamine Kids. A PhD chemist by training, she spent nearly twelve years covering infectious disease outbreaks worldwide for NPR before turning her reporting toolkit on Western parenting. Her work draws on cross-cultural research with Maya, Inuit, and Tanzanian families, plus interviews with leading neuroscientists, to challenge the assumptions of modern parenting. Doucleff is intentionally not on social media. Her work lives at michaeleendoucleff.com.
