In this episode, we pull back the curtain on Reiki. What actually happens in a session? How does energy communicate? Why do some sessions feel deeply emotional while others create profound shifts in direction, purpose, and healing? I shares stories from real sessions that have stayed with me over the years, explore the role of free will in energy work, and explain why Reiki is less about being "read" and more about remembering how to listen to yourself again. This is a conversation about healing, intuition, grief, love, trust, and the limitless potential of reconnecting with your own energy.

In this episode:

  • What Reiki actually is (and what it isn't)
  • Why energy workers often don't remember sessions afterward
  • The difference between "doing healing" and facilitating healing
  • Why participation and integration matter in energy work
  • Reiki, chakras, auras, and energetic communication
  • The role of free will in intuitive and mediumship work
  • Ethical boundaries in energy work and spiritual practice
  • How spirit communication can support healing when invited
  • The importance of approaching energy work with humility, reverence, and curiosity

Summit takeaway:
"Your guides can only lead you where you're willing to go." Reiki isn't about someone else having your answers. It's about clearing enough noise that you can hear your own.

Welcome to the Summit of Deck, where science meets goal and you don't have to pick one or the other. Hi, I'm your host, Elena Crawford, osteopathic manual practitioner and wikimatic teacher. On the pod, we're talking about body wisdom, energy, intuition, and becoming an expert on your own life. Whether you're looking to find yourself again, create a new version, or see, just here for the results, you're in the right place. I'm here to demystify spiritual curiosities while adding a layer of humanness to the healthcare experience. No gatekeeping, no pedestals. This podcast is for the woman who is ready to take her power back. Let's do it. Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday! I am so excited today. I am recording this and then I'm taking my dad to one of our favorite wineries to have lunch and spend some time with him before Jay and I head out to our Canadian Rockies adventure tomorrow. So today we are talking about Reiki, what it is, what happens in Reiki, and some stories of sessions that really stuck with me. I do get asked, like, can you just talk about Reiki stories all the time? And to be honest, um most Reiki sessions I don't remember. And if you're an energy worker and you're listening to this, you're laughing right now because you know exactly what I'm talking about. In a session, we're in our own little energetic world. I hate to use the word channeling because I still have yet to find a better word than channeling, but I just I that's what's happening. I'm channeling. I'm not thinking, right? Ego is like thinking brain. We're not our thinking brain is not on. When we think, we remember. But when the thinking brain is off, you don't remember. It's like being in a flow state, you know, and you don't like really know how you ended up at your end point. You just kind of like went through it, like time, space doesn't exist. Anyway, sometimes I remember, um, sometimes the emotion is so, so, so strong, or the message is really profound um and it sticks with me. And sometimes like it's a lesson for me too. Like, and when you're giving energy work, you're giving energy, but you're also receiving energy. That's how it works. And sometimes in sessions, there is a lesson for me there through the energy as well. And I remember those. Um, in the early days of doing Reiki, things would happen, and I would contact my mentor and be like, uh, hey, what do I do about this? Or is this supposed to happen? Um, and so I do remember a lot of those, and those were lessons as like anybody starting in a new career or a new job, you always remember those hiccups in the beginning because they're how you learned and how you got better at your craft. Um, but more often than not, I don't remember. I will get people, sometimes they like for themselves, they love coming like once a year, and they'll be like, remember my last session? And I just smile and nod. And I don't mean that in a bad way at all. I literally just have no recollection. Sometimes I don't even remember the person. It feels like I'm meeting them for the first time, but I know it's not their first time because in my booking app it would say this is their first session. I'm like, I've seen them before. I look through the history, like it's Reiki, no idea. Um, so if this happens to you uh with me or with an energy worker, please don't be offended. It's just the way it works. And and if they truly remember nothing, it's like you got such an extremely pure, non-ego-driven session. Um and like, yeah, it just that's the way the energy world works. We don't necessarily remember. Um, and that's kind of good because all of those frequencies, they affect us. Like when you're an energy worker and we talk about our claris, right? Especially like Clairicentia, and when you're feeling, all of those energies affect us when we're interacting with them. So we want to be able to detach from it and not take it on as our own. Um, so that's also why we don't remember. We like detach, we clear, and we send you on your way. So that's also too why we don't remember. It's like we don't want any attachment to that because we only want to interact with the energy um to work with it in its session and then debrief it with you and then send it on its way. So Reiki, it's really different with everyone. Um, and I believe that, and I'm saying different with everyone, as like a practitioner. If you see different practitioners, you are going to get different experiences with it. And I believe it is that way because Reiki is just a tool, it's a tool of a modality. It's like osteopathy, depending on where you went to school, you'll be trained differently. So, same philosophies, same overall goal and endpoint, but how you get there, the tool is different. It doesn't mean one is good or bad, it's just different, and I think that that's important to note. I also think there's two main camps of energy workers. So the first camp would be ones that do healing to you. So I've had people and I've had this before like you go to somebody, you don't talk about anything, you feel like you viscerally feel a crazy experience. You might cry, you might feel a release, you kind of feel the energy moving through your feel different things in your body, and they'll be like, okay, it's done, you're healed, and send you on your way. Um, and I'm not, I'm not saying that's bad, we'll get to that. Uh, and then there's a second camp, and that's practitioners that act as a tool in your healing process. And I would say I am the second camp for the most part. It's not to say I never do healing on someone, but for the most part, I am a practitioner that acts as a tool in your healing process. I think there is a time and a place where you simply lay down and let someone do their thing, like like the first camp. And I believe the time and the place is if you are a human and you are at rock bottom, you just need some freaking help. And I get that. Like I've been there and it works. Um, I've done it to people, I've been there, like sometimes you really need it, or sometimes you're so stuck on something emotionally. It's like nothing you can do or say you just need something to be done for you. So you can like take that breath or take that first step. But I think for the most part, energy work needs a level of participation and integration. So you need to understand what is going on with your energetic system, and you need tools, be that insights, homework, knowledge, etc., of how to keep that new frequency thriving. So Reiki with me is like an open dialogue. It's kind of like a choose your own adventure type of situation of how involved you want to be or not, but I will have you step up and take ownership of where you go from here when you leave my clinic. Um, my practice has evolved over the years. It did start as me just holding my hands over the chakras, reading the energy, clearing and filling where needed, and absolutely zero shade to that. Okay, at the end of the day, I still believe that that is the most powerful, pure healing modality that exists. I've mentioned this on the before on the podcast. I am forever, forever grateful to my mentor Carol for teaching me the foundational principles of energy and for keeping me there for a very long time. Like I'm talking level one Reiki, level two-ish Reiki. Like we were there for a long time, feeling, understanding, and having reverence for energy. No flying through certifications, no adding adding other modalities, just working with the energy on myself and on others and integrating all of that feeling and all of that knowledge. And no matter how many bells and whistles you can throw onto this work, at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that the energy is for your highest and best and no ego is involved, ego being thinking brain. Um, and that's what it's all about. Everything else is an add-on, like medium ship, Akashic Records, tarot, that's just gravy on top. And yes, I do that, but it just deepens our understanding of energetic patterns. So, yes, we throw in some of the fun, the fun add-ons, but it's always, always, always Reiki first. Okay, it's always the energy, energy first, setting that foundation. So in Reiki, I am reading or connecting with your chakra system. Um, and I'm just gonna say in your aura to make the layers of our energy uh seem less complicated. So visually, think you think about the seven centers, the seven chakras down the body, um, and then a bubble of energy reaching eight feet around you in every direction, like like a circle. Um, and that's like what we would call your aura, and and that's what I'm communicating with. Uh here's the important part don't come for energy work if you're not open. Don't go for any like energetic tools if you're not open, really. I did uh like one that sticks out to me. I did free tarot card readings. I have a friend of mine, he owns a business. It was it was his one-year anniversary, and he's like, yo, why don't you come do some tarot card readings? It'll be so fun. And it was amazing. But so this girl sits down in front of me, young girl, she crosses her arms, crosses her legs, and says, I'm not telling you anything. I'm not even asking a question. You just tell me about myself and I'll tell you if you're right. Like, what? Get out of here. Energy work needs to be invited. If I was ego-driven, I'd be like, yep, flip the cards and read her. Like, fuck that, respectfully. But like, I'm not here for that. Energy work needs to be invited in. To enter somebody's energy without permission, in my opinion, is the number one cardinal sin of energy work. Just because you can do it doesn't mean that you should. It's invasive. It's why I have a huge problem with intuitives, just walking up to people and saying, like, oh, I have a message for you, or giving them some cliff notes version of their energetic field. Like that is so ego driven, so ego driven. Firstly, they're scanning you. So they entered into your field without your permission, and that to me is a violation. Secondly, and this does happen to me, if you're a medium, you may have their loved ones like knocking down your door for messages. They they know they can connect with you and they pop into your field and they're trying to give you a message. So in this case, it's not so much that you're reading them, but you are connecting with their loved ones. And there is a tactful way you can do this. I feel like I'm gonna digress here for a second, but I just need to explain this piece and then we're gonna get back to Reiki. But it all ties in, I swear. Okay. Being a medium that can take on a life of its own. And again, so grateful to my mentor for explaining this to me energetically and then showing me it's a choice if I want to use this modality, like if I want to turn mediumship on or off, um, and also teaching me that I can put stipulations around how I use it, right? Energy has free will, so you can direct it where and when it happens. So when you connect with loved ones, you're connecting with energy. Simple as that. You're connecting with the frequency. And if you have it turned on all the time, you're like a walking energy sponge and you're constantly channeling energy and it's exhausting. Because not all energy is like love, light, and happiness, right? Um, so it's really hard on you physically. And when you understand that energy has free will, you can choose to say if spirit, um, if spirit needs to connect with me, this is where they can do it. So for me, it's like if spirit needs to connect with me, it can only be in my clinic. Sometimes if I'm in certain places, I will say, like, okay, we can turn it on. Or if someone asks, and if someone asks, I won't always say yes because it depends on like what's going on with me where we are. Like, I really I do in this sense have to look out for myself first if this is a long game for me. The only time, the only time I allow spirit free reigns to come at me at any time is for parents who have lost their children and they're struggling. And the rule is that they can connect with me, but the spirit has to find a way to direct their parents to me. So even if that works out, so even if I've connected with the child and I'm like, okay, somehow figure out how to get your parents to me, even if it works out, the parent has to tell me that they want the message. I don't just blurt them out when they fail me. The parent, the receiver has free will. You can't just force these things on someone. If it has to be for their highest and best. So the only time I would blurt out a message, a mediumship message, is if the receiver was in personal harm or was going to harm someone else, then I would freely relay a message. But um here is an example of how, in my opinion, messages should always work. So I was at a cranial sacral course in Toronto. Um, I didn't specifically say turn my mediumship on, but this is what I did say, and I should have realized this is what was gonna happen. But um, I was in the parking lot and I set an intention before I went into the course. Cranial sacral is a bit of a bridge between energy and osteopathy. So I was in the car, I was connecting, I was grounding, protecting my energy, and I said, during these four days, I allow whatever needs to be learned, said, or heard to occur. Um, pretty much like setting the intention of taking the most I could from the experience. But you know, that got interpreted a different way. No, it's all good. Okay, so sure enough, I sit down. Um, it's like two chairs. You find a partner, you share a table. So I found a partner um chatting with this girl, just not too long. I'd been sitting there, and someone's mom, like in spirit form, comes in to connect with me. And I'm like talking to this real live person, and the spirit is like so loud in my ear. Like she's like, Okay, she's coming, she's coming in now. Like, go sit with her, go sit with her, go sit with her. And she was like so pushy and so loud, like I couldn't really like hear anything else. Um, and I tried to fight it, but she was so persistent, so I like apologetically dismiss myself from my current partner. And I walk up to this woman and I'm like, Hey, can I work with you? And I also think it's so funny because a lot of like mediums are intuitives. We seem so flat so flighty because we just are like blindly following energy. Anyway, she was so lovely, and within a second of being in her energy, I was like, Okay, whoa, yeah, like we're gonna get along great, regardless of this message gets shared. Like, I'm loving this girl's vibe, I'm happy to be here. Anyway, I told her mom, the spirit, like, I'm not just gonna blurt out her messages, but if this woman connects with me about her, so I was like, your daughter has to open the door to share about you, and then I'll open the conversation. So we are two days into this this course. Um, I have the woman's mom in my ear very nicely the whole time. Um, she was respectful, but we go for lunch, and the the woman I was working with, my partner, she says, today's the three-month anniversary of my mom passing. And so I offered I offered up the connection and and away we went in the middle of a Fortino. But I think the point of that connection and why that happened was a few things. Yes, the messages, she needed them and they were great and they were lovely, but I think that this woman was opening the door. She's opening the door to integrative healing. She's a massage therapist. I think she's definitely gonna blend. I mean, I think cranial sagral was the first piece. She's like so crazy smart and talented and skilled. And I think, I think she probably hadn't had great experiences with this work, and I think she needed to see and feel how it could be done. Cause like she had really amazing questions and was really like, I could see the wheels turning. So I think too, like, yes, it was for her highest and best in the messages, but I also think in in an energetic sense, like it her mom was there to help guide her down this like path that she's gonna be going down, I think. But okay, long story short, that's how you give a message with free will. That was the longest side quest I think I've ever done on the show, and I'm sorry. The point is, everyone has free will. So when people come into a session and they're closed off and they want me to prove myself, they're not open. So to me, it's like I'm violating their energy because they want to stay closed off. You're not really gonna get much from those sessions. And honestly, if you're seeking out energy work but you're closed off and you need someone to prove themselves, what that says to me is you're coming so deep from a place of fear that you cannot handle anything that that person is gonna say unless it's in your comfort zone. And y'all know what I'm gonna say about comfort zones. Okay, they're not a good place to hang out if you're looking for change. So if that's you and you go to energy sessions, you're like really closed off, like, oh, they're really gonna have to like prove themselves. I think you're deeply in a place of fear. And I think you wanna go there and sit with that and be like, okay, how can I become more open? Am I willing to make changes? Am I willing to walk this path? And that's the first place to start before seeking out energy work. Um, and assuming you are seeking out energy work, like it to me, that says you're looking for some sort of shift. So you really want to be open. Moral of the story: be open. The more open you are with your energy, the more me or any reader can connect with and share with you. Being an open book in session is a good thing. It's not a bad thing. Energy work isn't psychic, okay? It's healing. And when I say open book, I don't mean like come in and spill your guts to me. I mean like energetically be open to being, to receiving and to surrendering. Okay, so where are we? Come in, be open, and then we do the dang thing. So um, with energy, we work in your chakras. And I'm not gonna go through them because we would be here for hours because I wouldn't stop talking about them. But we are understanding what is going on with their vibrations in each one of the of the seven chakras and your auric field. Um we wanna know is the energy flowing down the front of the chakras up the back in a cyclical motion? Is the energy being stopped somewhere? Is it being suppressed one air in one area? Is one or two areas siphoning energy? Is one area overactive? And how that gets translated is through memories come up, situation, thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and they're either they're either blocking you or they're moving you forward, and there's some work around there. And so after we do the the healing, so yeah, you're laying on your back, my hands are over you, it can be a really visceral feeling. Sometimes we're talking, sometimes we're not, but then we get up and we sit in the debrief chairs and we chat about it and we get some homework that you can take with you to keep moving forward um with that energy and keeping the frequency high. I know that's very vague, um, but it's so specific to each individual. Like each session is so totally different. Even people who come one, two, three times, like it's completely different every time. So I think the best way to talk about it would like let's give some examples. So one of my favorite stories um is from a woman. She was closer to retirement age. I'm not sure why she came in. Oh, I she was interested in Reiki um and learning about it. She'd been learning about energy like in general and realized like Reiki is a modality. So she wanted to come in um and and feel a session and learn about it. And I and I do get that a lot. Like, I'm a talker, hello, podcast. Um, and I love to teach. So I love when people come in and genuinely just want to learn about energy and Reiki, and it's like it's hard to get me to shut up about it. Um, so I said, you know what, we can talk through this whole session. I can tell you everything we're doing and you can ask me all these questions, but she goes to lay down on the table. Um, and suddenly her mom, who had recently passed, comes in. And when I say come in, I don't mean like she walked into the room and I can see her. I'm sure some mediums can. I don't always see. Um, I use my clairs. So hearing words, sometimes seeing, but when I say seeing, it's not like necessarily a person, it's like symbolism, um, and then feeling and knowing. So I know she's her mom, I know she's passed. Um, she tells slash shows, makes me feel how she passed. Um, and then she shows me that there's a lot of suppressed emotion and confusing emotion wrapped up in her death, and it's affecting her daughter's solar plexus. Um, so that's her will and her power, who she is in this lifetime. So often when spirit comes in, in my session at least, they have to be here to help the person on the table with their healing. Like, we're not just gonna come in and chat with mom, see how she feels after she crossed over. Like, she's gotta offer up some stuff about whoever's is on the table and how um communicating with her is helping for her highest, for the person on the table's highest and best. So she showed me her solar plexus and she showed me her heart chakra. Um, and I said, you know what, why don't you sit up? I we're gonna do a little bit of mediumship here. Um, and we had a really beautiful grief mediumship session before I could even get into her chakras because There was so much suppressed and unsaid and unprocessed emotion there. And this is gonna sound wild, guys. And if you've ever done grief, mediumship, you might understand. Sometimes when people have complex relationships, especially with their parents, sometimes those issues can't be resolved until the parents on the other side. And you can park that if that's too much for you, you can think about it that at a later date. But I've been doing this long enough that I know that that's a true story. So we had to work through a lot of emotion and uh processing of what happened while her mom died and everything wrapped up in it. Um, but once we used that conversation, the medium ship to release all that suppression, we were able to open up the chakras and create a higher frequency and move out. Like I always say, chakras are like a lint trap in a dryer. Um, if you don't clear it out, if you just kept pressing load on, load on, load on, and you don't clear out that filter, it's just chalk full of stuff and nothing can get through. Not good air. Sometimes it shuts down the dryer because you know there's not enough, there's there's too much heat, it's got to be reset. That's like energy in chakras, okay? They get congested and we have to clear them out of the lower frequencies to open up that nice clean filter so good stuff can go through. Um, so we open we opened it all up um and we're exploring, you know, who she is and what she wants in life. And I love that because she's close to retirement age and she's like, this isn't what I want. Um, and especially when we have solar plexus stuff going on, like we need to explore what's tugging at us, what's pulling us. And she couldn't really feel that because she had a lot of suppression there. So when you open up your energy and surrender to following the pulls and the tugs and ask, like, please, universe, place what is meant for me before me on my path. I read this quote by Gabby Bernstein today, and I was like, Yeah, I'm gonna fit that into the podcast. Here it is. Here's her her, here's her quote today on Instagram. Your guides can only lead you where you're willing to go. And we did that in this session. We said, guides, put on my path what's meant for me. Okay, she was debating a move to another province, a career change, didn't know what, all these big ideas, nowhere to go. But she said, I trust that what I'm being pulled to is meant for me, and I'm gonna follow those pulls. She moved. She left her stable job that she was close to retiring to. She had such a transformative experience through, you know, through the process of her mother's death, like nothing to do with me there, and then what happened in our experience that she felt called to take. I think it's like a death doula course. Um, it helps people uh who are near death transition through energetic tools. Um, but she had no roadmap there. We just cleared the debris so she could get clear and tune in and connect and realize where she's being pulled intuitively. This woman invited me to her going away party. I of all these like long-term friends and stuff, I just sobbed the entire way home from that party. I also was super pregnant, but I was so proud and I was so moved and honored and full of love. Like she really did the damn thing. I I just I just opened up that communication channel so she could get clear and she did all of that herself. Um that one I loved. She gave me a bookmark and I still use it every day in my books on it. I just I love her so much. Um, another one I would say that really changed my outlook on life, I was doing end of life Reiki in hospice. So I I guess similar concept to the Death Doula. I just I call it end of life Reiki. I'm not, I have to look into a Death Doula, I'm not entirely sure what they do, but Reiki can help make the transition for people crossing over um easier. So when you do it, it's a very different experience as a practitioner because you don't really do anything to the lower chakras. They're closed. Um, this is why I always get so angry when energy workers tell my clients like different energy workers. I don't care if you go to different energy workers, I love it, I think it's great, but I get so peeved when they say, oh, your heart chakra is blocked. No, ma'am, it's not. If it was, she would be dead. Nothing's blocked, okay? Think of the lint trap. So the lower chakras do close um in death in death. They are our human chakras, they're they tie us to our physical world. So when you're close to death, you're mainly just in your upper chakras. Um, and because of that, uh, in some of my experiences, especially if the person um at end of life has Alzheimer's or dementia, you can communicate with them. So in this instance, I was on his heart, um, which was fading, his lower lower chakras were closed, and he asked, Did I leave a legacy? And his daughter was in the room, she was lying, she was lying down, her eyes were closed. I think she had something over her eyes, and I said, Yes, she's wonderful. And right away, he pushed his energy like from me putting it into his heart, and he pushed it straight in to give it to her, which actually, when we were talking after the session, she's like, at one point, I just felt this huge shift and like energy was blasting into me, and I knew exactly what she was talking about. Um like he wanted to give it all to her, he didn't want to take anything. And then he asked, Um, did I do enough? Did I leave a good mark on the world? And I didn't know this man personally, I knew his daughter, she was a client of mine. Um, he knew who I was briefly because his daughter asked if he would like Reiki. Um, he knew he had a little bit of time left in this world and that he did want Reiki. So at that point he was lucid when he said yes. At this point, he was not lucid. Um, so when I say this, we're not having this conversation like out loud to each other. Um, but I didn't know how to answer that question because I didn't know him, but I had done Reiki on his daughter the evening before, and being clairsentient, so clairfeeling, I knew how the love she had for him felt. And I channeled that feeling for him. I channeled that love. So for five minutes he lay there and I channeled the energy. Uh, his face was so peaceful, tears were just streaming down my face, and not in any way from sadness, but the feeling of absolute pure love. It was so profound that that changed everything for me, that experience. I know we all say like all we have is love, but I I felt it, like I witnessed it. It was a man's dying question. Truly, we have love when we come into this world and we want love and hope that we have love when we go out. And the other shit, it doesn't matter. Like none of it matters if we don't have love. And it was one of the most profound experiences I've ever had. Um, I feel like this was a lot of death, so I need to end not on a death note. Um, this is a fun one. So I had someone come in again, she's just like so lovely. Uh, she had a really, really heartbreaking year, like blind-sided uh divorce. So in her session, I I like assumed we were gonna be working through a lot of divorce stuff. And like, yeah, there was emotions and stuff there, but more so stuff came up about her job. And she has a good job. She didn't love it, but she but it was a good job and she really liked it. Um, but you know, we talked about there was a missing piece there, there's a bit of passion missing, so it didn't really light her up. Um, and it it wasn't giving her the creative energy that her that her sacral plexus was was craving, her sacral chakra. The sacral chakra, it's also our partnership plexus. So when we have stuff beyond our control going on in the sacral, the best thing you can do is create. And and anything, literally anything that fuels creativity helps this chakra. Um, so she was jazzed up about everything. Um, and we were talking, you know, I said, like, what's your dream? What do you want to do? And she was like, Well, there's this job on a different team, um, but it never opens up and it's like all seniority, and then, you know, I don't really know if I want to go out on my own, but I am interested in like this sector, and so we were mulling that over. I said, you know what, let's like, let's pull tarot on it. Let's get like a little bit more clear because that's what tarot's for, right? It can give us a little more direction, a little more oomph. Um, and so I I did a spread for her and I was like, Oh, I think something's gonna happen with your current job. Like, I actually was like, Is there any chance like you're leaving? And she was like, No, no, like it's I'm staying there, it's pretty comfy, whatever. And I said, I don't know. I'm not predicting here, it was just the energy of her reading. Um, I said, So, like here's how we're gonna work with this. I see a change happening with the job. Um, so let's create. What's your dream here? If nothing was holding you back, what's your dream here? So, yes, she wanted a role in that specific sector, the one she said it never opens up and it's impossible to get into. Um, but if not, and or she also wants to take some courses related to it. And she just like really became open to the idea that something's going to change with work. So she became very like curious and open. And to me, that's already like curiosity is almost already creativity. Lo and behold, she comes in, I don't know, a short period while and she's like, You witch, you called it. I I just got let go, like completely blindsided, let go. Um, but when she was let go, it was like a very long transitional let go period. It wasn't like two weeks bye bye. So we had time to make a game plan. Um, she was exploring things that excited her, connecting things with she felt pulled to, but again, she really was like, I really want that job in this sector. Does a freaking job, like that exact job, open up and does she not get it? She does. Like attracts like. The Reiki set her in motion. So her energy knew what it wanted and what it needed, and she was open to receiving. So, in this, in this case, the choice, she got like kind of pushed along in her choice. Maybe she would have stayed at the comfort job longer, who knows? But the the thing is she acted from faith and not fear. So she didn't freak out when she got let go and spiral. It's like because the pro like the wheels were already in motion in her head, and we kind of already set the stage and she was already getting curious and she was already making a game plan. So it's like she did not give in to fear and just like take the they offered her something that was like almost settling. Um, and she's like, you know what? No, I'm not gonna do that. And she acted from faith and she leaned into it and she trusted it, and she trusted that it was working for her highest and best, and it did. The universe is always conspiring with us. Reiki is a beautiful tool to clear the cobwebs, to reconnect with that. And it shows up differently for everybody, of course, but the foundation of it all is the same. And people always ask me, what do you like more, Reiki or Ossio? And that's honestly, it is a really hard question to answer because you need both. I love both. I think they I think you can't really have one without the other. But the Reiki has unlimited potential. Okay, what I love about the Reiki is the teaching aspect. I'm just here to help you understand how your energy communicates with you. Life gets loud, it gets messy, and you forget how to interpret your own energy. So it's it's limitless once you remember how to connect and once you have the ability to surrender to it. And I love being that guide for people on the process back to yourselves or deeper within yourselves. That's really what lights me up, and it's so special, and it's something I hold so much respect for. Energy work isn't party tricks, and it's why I get really spicy when I hear things through the grapevine, you know, of like things that have happened in sessions. Guys, anyone can interpret energy. We are all energy. So there is no gatekeeping to this energy business. We all have access to it, but it's like going to the gym to work your muscles, make them stronger, make a bigger mind muscle connection. The exact same thing is true for energy and working with it, interpreting it. Like you have to work it like a muscle to get really good at it. Um, but how and why you use it is of the utmost importance. And if people are using it for party tricks or ill will or whatever, they don't really understand it. I've said it a million times today. I'm so grateful for my mentor Carol and for her teaching me my foundation and energy. I'm so grateful to be able to use energy in my work and to help people understand it and work with it themselves. Like, guys, we are flesh tubes on a flying rock. Like, why not fuck around and find out? You know? And I say that in the best way. Like, why not fuck around with this and find out what it can do for you? People spend so much time and energy trying to prove this stuff wrong. Like, why not take that sweat equity there and prove it right? Like, take a chance on yourself. Really? What do you have to lose? Anyway, I am out of here. It's all I have. It's all I got for you today. I am headed to my happy place to Canmore to climb some mountains, spend some time with my husband, maybe have an Aperol. Um, I hope you guys have the best week. I will see you next Wednesday. So much love, you guys.
