Hi friends. Welcome back to the show, balancing The Scales for The Ruthless Optimist. I'm your host, Bridget Brooks, and let's be real Running one ad on one platform and calling it a strategy is like opening a register on Black Friday and wondering why you, the line is out the door. Today we're breaking down what omnichannel presence actually means.

How smart retargeting works across platforms and how brands can do this, right, are absolutely washing their competitors right now. This is your paid media playbook for scaling with strategy instead of scatter. Now let's get into what omnichannel really means, not the buzzword version. Omnichannel is not, we run Facebook ads and hope for the best.

Omnichannel isn't. We boosted one post once and omnichannel is not. We tried Google, but it turned turned it off after eight days. Real omnichannel means your customers see you everywhere. They already are Google search, YouTube meta, meaning Facebook and Instagram, display, programmatic and retargeting loops across all of it.

You don't chase attention. You engineer visibility. Smart retargeting is where the money hides. Now here's the truth bomb. Most people don't convert on the first touch or the second, or even the third. They convert when they've seen your brand. They trust your authority. They feel familiar with you, and the timing hits right.

Smart retargeting is how you stay visible without being annoying. Follow buyers across platforms and catch them at multiple decision points. So let's give a real world example. Let's say you're a local service-based brand, maybe a med spa, a dental office. A high-end contractor or even a coach, and someone searches best cosmetic dentist near me, weight loss clinic in S Scottsdale.

They click your ad and boom, first touch. That same person is now starting to see your befores and afters on YouTube. 15 second educational videos. Client testimonials and behind the scene trust builders, they didn't even search again, but now you're living rent free in their brain. Step three is the meta retargeting.

They hop on Instagram that night and you're there again, reels, social proof, frequently asked questions. Limited time offers and DMing automations. Now they're thinking about booking and they're not just thinking, they're actually saying, oh dang, everyone I know uses them. Then they finally go back to Google and search your name directly.

That's not luck. That's omnichannel engineering. So why single platform ads are killing your scale? Here's the ugly truth. Running. Running one platform alone creates a higher cost per acquisition. Lower trust, shorter attention. Window algorithm dependency, plateaued growth. Omnichannel does the opposite. It lowers the acquisition cost.

It multiplies the brand authority. It shortens the buying cycle. It increases the lifetime value and stabilizes the revenue. This is how real Barens scale past six and seven figures. What's smart about retargeting is actually tracking. Not all retargeting is created equal. Smart retargeting looks at page visits, video watch time, button clicks.

Lead form opens partial purchases, scroll behavior and appointment abandoners, and serves as an ad based on behavior, not just presence translation. You stop blasting ads at everyone and start speaking directly to the decision stage. That's real grown marketing. Now, common retargeting mistakes. Let's lovingly elope roast these real quick.

Your same ad for your cold audience. Warm audience in hot traffic is not gonna do you any justice. No creative rotation is really going to kill your vibe. Messaging that doesn't match the awareness level is always a downfall. No cross-platform data sinking is going to make you scratch your head halfway through the offer.

No offer ladder means you're leaving money on the table and no follow up. Automation means your competitors are getting your business. If your retargeting feels like you're shouting into the void, this is probably why. What smart omnichannel funnel actually needs at minimum is Google search for intent, YouTube display for authority, meta for relationships, and conversation A CRM for tracking and follow up and retargeting for all of it.

This is why brands who do omnichannel feel big long before they actually are. Who this works best for is really anybody that's running paid ads, service providers, high ticket coaches, local premium brands, medical and wellness, home services, education brands, e-comm with strong margins. If you sell with trust, you need omnichannel.

Now, here's the mic drop truth. Omnichannel isn't about more ads, it's about being seen at the right place in the right time, with the right message in front of the right buyer. And when it's done right, your brand stops chasing leads and it starts attracting them on autopilot. So if you're ready to stop guessing and start scaling with real omnichannel strategy, this is exactly what we build every day at search every.
