 Hello friends and welcome back to Balancing the Skills. I'm your host, Bridget Brooks, and today we are talking about what high intent traffic really means. So high intent traffic is people who are actually searching, comparing and deciding, not just people researching, people saving for later, or people silently watching.

These are Googling solutions, comparing providers. Clicking ads with purpose and ready to convert if you show up correctly, intent beats reach every single time. You don't need more people. You need the right people at the right moment. Let's talk stats. Yes. I brought the data. Here's where the math gets loud.

Search ads in Google convert two to three times higher than social only traffic. 65% of buyers use search. After seeing social content, high intent keywords consistently deliver lower cost per acquisition. And retargeted search and display traffic can boost conversion rates by 70%. So what that means to you is people don't buy when they first see you.

They buy when they are ready and they go to Google when the moment hits. So if you're not there, someone else is getting your sale. So let's lovingly roast the idea that top of funnel only is enough. And if you don't know, we preach by full ad funnels. That means top of funnel for testing and visibility, middle of the funnel for direct call to action and retargeting for the conversion.

So awareness without intent is just expensive brand therapy. What you're doing is you are paying to educate people who aren't ready, entertain people who won't convert and build familiarity with no follow through. High intent traffic flips the funnel. Instead of asking who might like this, you ask who's already looking for this?

And that's where the ROI lives.

High intent traffic doesn't exist in a vacuum. It lives inside a ecosystem. It's where the work actually works. Social and video create awareness and trust. Search ads, capture demands. Retargeting, shortens decision cycles. Landing page removes their friction and data optimizes and scales what converts. So why are brands relying on one platform?

Burnout. Meta creates curiosity. Google captures intent, retargeting seals the deal. Anything else is just wishful. Thank you. If you want buyers. Your marketing must answer these three questions. How fast can you solve my problem? Why should I trust you? And what happens next? That means keyword strategy built around buying signals.

Add copy that speaks to the decision stage pain offers designed on your now not someday, and clear path to conversion. No scavenger hunts. High intent buyers don't wait to be inspired. They wait to be relieved. If your ads aren't converting, it's not because your ads are dead. The platforms don't work or people aren't buying.

I don't subscribe to any of those. It's because you're paying for attention when you should be paying for intent. Buyers are out there, they're searching, they're comparing. The only question is, are you showing up where it counts? High-end TR traffic isn't louder. It's smarter. It doesn't chase. It captures, and when you're building your marketing around buyers and not bystanders, everything gets easier, lower cost, higher conversion, faster growth, and less burnout.
