A life is never lived in isolation. Even when we try to detach, even when we withdraw, even when we don’t intend to lead, our presence leaves marks. The world remembers us through what we modeled, what we normalized, what we repaired, and what we refused to take responsibility for.
You don’t have to be famous to leave a legacy. You only have to be close enough to someone to impact the way they feel about people, about love, safety, and human nature itself. The way you love, the way you lash out, the way you disappear, the way you repair… it all becomes data in someone else’s nervous system. And those small moments accrue into a larger ripple.
The truth is: society owes you care, and you are a part of society, therefore, you owe society care too. It’s a duty. It’s a legacy. This is your relational power.
