Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for your superior military leaders in action where a normal duty day turns into a catastrophe, and you military members still must lead. I am Christian, the hype man's ledge, host of the Skiff International Podcast, and we are continuing our 2026 USL Service Member of the Year series. Today we are spotlighting Yeoman second class, Cody Damosy, United States Coast Guard. To Yeoman Damoski's family, you have a Coasty to be proud of. Stance of approval, certified, battle tested, United States Coast Guard approved as a U.S. Coast Guard Service Member of the Year 2026. The Coast Guard needs search and rescue instincts, emergency medical assessment, and the ability to find the victim that nobody else knew to look for. No problem. Yeoman Second Class Domoski calls that a Tuesday. So what makes it so special and what makes him different? Let me go ahead and hype that up for you. Somebody got thrown off a motorcycle. Heavy impact. They are not on the road. They are deep in the woods somewhere. Significant injuries already, major blood loss, and nobody knows where they are. No GPS pin, no clear trail. Just somewhere in the trees, a civilian is bleeding out, and nobody has found them yet. Let me ask you guys something. If you drove past a motorcycle crash scene, no rider visible, what would you do? Most likely you call 911 and wait it out. That's the move. Ain't nobody jugging you. Call and wait. But when you're military, especially when you're in the Coast Guard, search and rescue instincts do not punch out just because you stepped off a cutter. You know my thoughts on these kinds of things. Panic is easy and hesitation is fatal. Yeoman Domoski is already searching the scene. He finds them. Deep in those woods, significant injuries, significant blood loss. He renders immediate aid, assessing the wounds, applying the pressure, stabilizing the victim in real time, relaying critical medical intel directly to the emergency dispatch team so the first responders know exactly what they're walking into. Domoski looked at those woods and said, nah, not today. Victim was stabilized, life safe, and stayed until the situation was D1 done for mission success. Ascending leadership alert. The Coast Guard is the most underrated branch when it comes to heroic stories. And I need you to change that narrative starting right now. Yeoman Domoski was not on a cutter, not on a mission brief, was a Coast Guard member who activated when a civilian needed it the most. And that civilian is alive right now because of it. Superior leadership is not about fearlessness, it's about acting in despite of fear. USO Tuning 26 Coast Guard Service Member of the Year title. Every single word of that is earned Yoman Damoski and all the service members out there, seen and unseen. Thank you for your service, especially during these tough times. But everybody outside of this don't want to hear that they just want to dance. NATO, go ahead and put some beat on this video and why you guys are out there dancing. Make sure you listen. That's L S S C N to the Skip International Podcast. That's like, share, subscribe, comment, and notifications activated. If you want to hear more about your superior everyday leaders in action, hype signing off. And of course, shout out to my man NATO.
