Christian Highman slash Skiff International Podcast. Welcome back to The Lit Rep, the fastest rundown of what Airman and Guardians actually care about under three minutes. Let's freaking go. Wanna be a baller? Shot caller. 20 inch blades on the impala. Big money story. Troops could see up to a 7% pay raise under the proposed defense bill with Junior enlisted getting the biggest pay bump. Finance finally dropped a storyline that everybody's feeling. Big Air Force update. The A-10 Warthog is sticking around to at least 2030, delaying its planned retirement. Turns out you cannot retire the Warthog. The Warthog retires you. The Air Force just rolled out its updated FY26 aviation bonuses with some aircrew eligible for $50,000 a year to stay in. They are not asking to stay, they are negotiating now. But I hope they take care of the maintainers that's taking care of the aviators as well. A new defense report says the Air Force may not be ready for a high-end conflict with China sighting aging aircraft in not enough capacity. Old jets, new problems. That math isn't mathing, but I'm sure the CSAP's got it. Yeah, he's got it. He's got it. He's got it. Top of that, guard leaders are pushing Congress to fund up to 100 new fighter jets per year just to keep up with the demand. That's not modernization necessarily, that's just simply catching up. Again, we got it. It's fire. It's fire. In real-world operations, a U.S. airman was rescued after being shot down behind enemy lines in Iran following a major combat search and rescue mission. That's the kind of teamwork that you don't train halfway for, you go all the way in. Good job, guys. Space Force leadership says guardians played a critical combat role in recent Iran operations, including electronic warfare and satellite defense. Everybody talks about the Space Force until the GPS stops on some bleep you kind of vibes. Stop messing with these dudes and do that. And looking ahead into the future, DARPA's developing powdered blood that could be mixed in the battlefield for emergency transfusions. That is not sci-fi. That is freaking save your life in 30 seconds kind of vibe technology. That's what's up, man. Let's get this going. And that is your lit rep for the week. Tell us in the comments what leadership should be talking about and what airmen and guardians are actually caring about right now. Make sure you guys stay informed, stay dangerous, and of course stay out of the commander's office. You don't want those kind of problems. All right. Out of the cabinet, you can't do it.
