A graduate of The College of Saint Rose and SUNY Albany, she has built a career grounded in creativity, education, and service. As a veteran art teacher, Erica brings compassion, leadership, and a commitment to lifelong learning into everything she does.

She is also the owner of Seriously Spotless Green Cleaning Company, a business focused on safe, chemical-free home and body care products that support the health of families and the environment. In November 2024, Erica expanded her community impact by purchasing Fort Orange General Store, a beloved cornerstone of Downtown Albany. A dedicated mother of four, Erica is passionate about strengthening community ties and supporting local artists, vendors, and businesses.

Joe Slichko, a native of the Capital District, is a published author, educational consultant, national speaker, school leader in Albany, NY, and managing partner of Fort Orange General Store. A proud father of two children and two bonus children, Joe has dedicated over two decades to strengthening schools and communities through education. He brings expertise in leadership, operations, human resources, marketing, development, and fundraising, helping schools implement sustainable, equitable strategies. Passionate about creating opportunities for students and educators, Joe has guided schools facing financial challenges toward growth and stability. He holds degrees from Plattsburgh State University, The College of St. Rose, and earned his Doctorate of Education from Russell Sage College.
