You've read the books. You know you should prioritize yourself. You're still last on your own list every single night.
MomFuel & Mindset is the podcast for the mom who gives everything to everyone and is quietly running on empty while holding the whole world together.
We're Chrissy and Jess, two real friends, two moms in the thick of it and we built this podcast because we got tired of pretending we had it together. Every week we show up with raw honest conversation and practical tools for the moments that actually break you.
The overstimulation. The invisible mental load nobody sees. The reactive moment you replay at 2am. The guilt that follows you to bed.
We don't sugarcoat it. We don't pretend it's easy. And we never make you feel like you're the only one struggling.
Because you're not broken. You're just running on empty in a world that keeps asking you to give more.
New episodes every Thursday. Come as you are. đź’ś
Can you believe this is Season 2, Episode 20, which means FORTY episodes of Mom Fuel & Mindset? 🎉
This week it's just Jess and Chrissy, and we're doing two things: celebrating everything this podcast has become (the guests, the growth, the messages that say "I felt like you were talking directly to me"), and practicing what we preach. September and October are chaos for both of us, and we could grin and bear it but you wouldn't be getting our best. So we're taking a short fall break to reset, do some listening, and come back before the holidays with fresh perspective, fresh guests, and fresh ideas.
We are not going anywhere. It's not goodbye, it's see you soon. đź’›

Can you believe that this is season two, episode 20? That means we will have put out 40 episodes. 40 episodes. Isn't that crazy? Crazy. I was scrolling through them earlier and looking back at our official launch and the episodes that we've put out. And I have a hard time picking which one is my favorite. Um, I think that we have done a good job at various topics and a lot of special guests. And man, it's been fun over these last 40 episodes.
SPEAKER_00
It really has been. And it was funny because we were looking like, when did we start? And I was like, oh wait, I think I may have uploaded both episode one and two on the same date. Clearly, I had no idea what I was doing. Like we truly part of me had no idea what we were doing.
SPEAKER_01
Man, sometimes I question if I still have any idea what I'm doing. But you know, we're still here and we're still doing it. And we have we have so many special guests that have been, I think that it's grown, which is really cool. In the midst, we've created an Instagram account and we're working on putting out sneak peeks and you know, help do our special guests justice and just reach more moms, more women who need a support system. We talked in the last episode about like we need support. And this is the goal of the podcast has always been to be a support to the to our listeners, to our future listeners, to anybody who stumbles, either on our YouTube account or on the Spotify account, anything. Cause stumbles on, what is mom feeling mindset? I hope that they listen and and truly feel like they have two people, and sometimes three with our special guests in their corner that always want to be a support for them. Uh, because that truly has been the goal from the start.
SPEAKER_00
It really, it really has been. Don't forget, we we have our swag too, we put out, and we recently started a Facebook account too. So, like in the short amount of time that we've been doing this, we really have been working hard to get out in front of more moms and more people, really, about the importance of the conversations we're having. Uh, because I think they're not conversations that we have at the dinner table or even on a daily basis with our best friends. So I think this allows that space for not only moms to like hear, you know, it's perspective from different people, but also like feel like they're really speaking to them, like they can relate. And you don't know how many people that have reached out to me and said, I felt like you were talking directly to me in your episode. And and that just means so much to me personally, because like I know what it feels like sometimes to feel like you're you're battling this alone, right? Like, and it to hear someone tell their story or really just give a perspective and it really like aligns with how you feel and what you believe. It's just there's something pretty special about that. So we're honored to be here uh and to be doing this this work together.
SPEAKER_01
It is. And there's nothing more soul-filling than the feedback that we get from the podcast episodes. It's truly something that is so special to us. We do this because we love this, we do this because uh we think that there's not enough support or conversations being had. We want to be a support, we want to be a voice for those who feel like I'm too scared to say this, I'm too scared to open up about this. Being a mom is hard, being a mom struggling with mental health is really hard. And so if we can be that, oh my gosh, she's speaking directly to me for you and be a support for you, give you a little bit of confidence to either ask for help or try something new. That's the that is literally the the greatest gift that we could ever, you know, ask for uh is the support that we receive. I was looking through some of our testimonials and and and reading. I just finished listening to the first episode, and this is definitely going to be added to my list. We need more people to have these conversations. I felt so seen. I look forward to listening every Thursday. Today I listen while walking at the gym. You ladies nail it every week. This message said, ladies that are listening now, I can't even begin to tell you how identical this is to when I was on my own with my older boys, eight minutes in. Your guest was awesome this week. I love listening to her and hearing about her journey. It just is a it's such a blessing, such a cool. I I don't think I can accurately depict what the messages and the feedback mean to us. And it truly fuels our fire, continues to fuel our five eight. 40 episodes. I mean, that's incredible. 40 episodes. We went from putting them out bi-weekly to putting them out weekly, and uh it's a lot of work. I will say this like the it is a lot of work to uh both of us work full time, we both have small businesses outside of that or work, you know, things outside of this and do this podcast. And so we titled this week's episode Knowing When to Pause, but and don't fear, I don't want anybody to stress out. We know that September is normally a month of chaos, and we have seen that with back to school and adjustment periods, and and we just find ourselves needing a break. And so we advocate for awareness and knowing when to set boundaries and knowing when to make sure that we're okay and and we're bringing our best to you. And I think I sent a message to Chrissy the other day that was like, I'm crawling, like I'm I'm definitely not giving my best effort, like I'm crawling to the fin, like you know, not finish, but the pause here because we're just we have so much going on and this these next couple months are a little bit crazy. So we have made the decision to to to take a pause just for, you know, uh six weeks or so, allow ourselves to get through the crazy busyness of September and October, and then, you know, take get we want to bring you fresh perspective. We want fresh ideas. We want, we want to do is a little market research. Do we like guests? Do we like just Christy and I? Do we like the weekly episode still? Is there certain topics we want to touch on? Do we need to pivot in some way to bring you more resources or the resources that you actually need? So we're gonna be putting some feelers out and just seeing what our listeners need and what our listeners want so that we can come back at our one year, you know, like close to our one year anniversary with some freshness to the podcast.
SPEAKER_00
Yeah, I I appreciate that, Jess. I think it's important that we practice what we preach, being aware of your limitations, taking the pause when you need it. And as Jess said, like September, October, very busy for the both of us. And we could grin and bear it and get through, but it wouldn't be our best selves. We wouldn't be showing up as we have been week after week. We would not be doing our best work. And so while there's always room for grace, and knowing that we're not always our best selves, I do think like we are at a point now we just have to listen to that and practice what we preach and take that small break. And so when we do come back, we'll be ready to go and we will be celebrating our year in there in December, which is exciting. We'll get through the holidays with you guys. But as Jess said, we do want to do some market research here. What you want? Like, what are you liking so far? What do you want more of? Is there something that we're not doing that you would like to see us do doing? Do you like having the guests? Do you want more of just Jess and I? We want to know all of that. And feedback is important, so don't worry about hurting our feelings or anything. We want to know all of it. So we know how to show up and serve you best because that's what this is about. We don't make any money doing this. This is because we absolutely love what we do, and showing up for you all is why we do it. So we want to make sure that we're speaking to you in a way that matters. So giving us that feedback will be very much appreciated. So during this break, although we won't be doing weekly episodes, we will be asking for your input on social, on Instagram and on Facebook, right, Jess? And maybe on threads, I think. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01
So you can follow us. We'll still be, I might be like repurposing some past episode content on our Instagram because that's not gonna go stagnant. I will be active there. So yeah, so you can find us on our Instagram handle. It's at momfuel mindset podcast, also on threads, which I didn't even really know. I I sound old when I say this. I didn't even know what threads was until a few months ago. So yeah, active on threads on Instagram. We have a Mom Fuel and Mindset V inner Circle, podcast, inner circle. Um it is a private Facebook group. If you haven't joined it, that is one of the best ways to stay in the know outside of the episodes. It is the goal of that is to create community outside of these episodes. There's so many times if you find yourself listening and being like, I have a question, or I want to ask this guest something. Our goal ultimately is to get past guests back in that inner circle. That's something I'm gonna work on on the break, is to try and really get our guests in that inner circle. So if you have a question from an old episode and you want to connect with these people like there, they're in there to do lives in there where we have old guests come back and do a reunion and talk about things maybe that we didn't get to talk about the first go-round. So that inner circle really is the goal, is for that to be a super special place. It's very new. We just opened it. So it's it's growing. We have lots of ideas for it. I'm really excited about it. Uh, and I my goal over our break is to spend some time really brainstorming how that can be an added resource for you in the in between. The episodes are great, just you listening to us, and this really brings it full circle where we can keep the conversation going even after the record button stops. So we have that and we have the Instagram, and we have, and and obviously Chrissy and I aren't going anywhere. We're just we there's other things that need our attention during these next couple of months. And so, and it'll give us a time to really like that's this is truly what we want is to bring you what you need. And so we want to make sure that this is something that you look forward to listening to. We want it to be something that you share with a friend. We want the best way that you could support us is to just share with the people that you love. Anyone you come in contact with, hey, have you heard about, you know, Christy and Jess, this podcast is a great resource. If you are in your community, sharing it with a community member, the best way that you could support us is just sharing who we are and the podcast with them. Like Chrissy said, we do have our merch. That's another great way. Like Chrissy said, we want to know how we can serve you best, what we can do to serve you best. So we tend to surround ourselves with these topics around women, women's mental health. But, you know, if there's other topics you want us to touch on, if there's something in the news, like we want to do a monthly news thing where we check out something that doesn't even have to do with women's mental health, but it just is something in the news, something popular. If there's you want to know what we're, you know, Amazon reviews, we want to make sure that we're bringing you what you want. So, whatever it is that how we could support you is truly what we want. We tend to talk about heavy stuff. So maybe once a month we do something fun. Chrissy puts on a comedy show. I don't know. We'll see if I'd be able to do that. I could bring my husband in with this yellow procs. We'll tell jokes one episode a month, whatever it is. But that's what we're gonna be reaching out. So, and we have an email. Hello at Mom Fuel Mindset Podcast. That's our email. We're always reachable. We obviously you guys have access to, you can find us on Facebook, you can find us both on Instagram, and we're here for you. We want to be in your corner. So we appreciate your support over this last eight, nine months that we've been on this journey over these 40 episodes. Um, and we just ask that you give us some grace as we take this little bit of a break to kind of reset and get ready for the holiday season, where we're gonna then dive back in and bring you fresh perspective, fresh guests, fresh ideas. And then we're gonna be looking for your input for what that looks like.
SPEAKER_00
Yeah. Yeah. And if you haven't listened to all the episodes, like this is this is number 40. So there's plenty to binge if you have that's a good idea. Yeah. You haven't. And we can like share on our socials too, like some of the more popular episodes. Like, hey, if you haven't listened to this yet, kind of thing, just to keep us front and center. So you guys are all caught up by the time we start again. And again, we'll be asking for input, you know. Uh so please, please, please tell us what you want because that's really our mission is to to serve you in the best way possible.
SPEAKER_01
So maybe I should do like a 40 days of Chrissy and Jess, and like every day start put post like a different episode. I think you might be onto something.
SPEAKER_00
40 days of Chrissy and Jess, so that you can get caught up before season drops. I love that idea, Jess, because 40 days is like, well, a month and a week, right? And we need about six weeks. So maybe we start, you know, yeah, shortly after w this episode airs, we could start that and it'll bring us almost right up until when we're ready to start. Yeah, back up. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01
I like it. I'm writing this down. 40 days.
SPEAKER_00
40 days of Chrissy and Jess.
SPEAKER_01
Marathon.
SPEAKER_00
That's all like planning right in the moment, in the middle of a podcast recording.
SPEAKER_01
Absolutely. Yeah, I think it's a good idea, I think that's a good idea. So I actually was chatting with a listener a couple weeks ago, and she had said something like, I've missed a hand, like I need to get caught up on episodes.
SPEAKER_00
So Yeah, and I just talked to someone the other day who said that she's been meaning to start listening, but she hasn't yet, and had a specific uh interest in one episode. So I sent her that one episode. But yeah, I mean, I think I think there's a number of people that have maybe have been following but not listening every week or whatever, because life does get busy and we just fall, fall out of habit or never even created the habit. So yeah, I mean, now's a good time to kind of catch up and yeah, hear all the different things that we had going on and then provide us input if you want more on a certain topic or from a certain guest or anything. Yeah, great idea. Great idea.
SPEAKER_01
And to be honest, our Instagram account wasn't started in the beginning. So the account only has probably half. So yeah. And Facebook doesn't have much either. Our Facebook group has very little because that's so new. Right, cool. And invite your friends to the Facebook group. What do they say? Like it's not goodbye, but we'll see you again soon. Yes. I love that.
SPEAKER_00
