• reasons the protective blanket formed
• four-count inhale, four-count hold, seven-count exhale
• releasing tension in shoulders, chest, and jaw
• reframing from exposure to emergence
• full-body grounding and sensory return

Hi, gorgeous. Welcome to another episode of Smell the Roses with Steph. This episode is a continuation of episode six, guiding you deeper into a breathwork journey designed to remove the heavy blanket weighing you down, dimming your light, clouding your clarity, and holding you back from fully stepping into your potential. Follow my voice through conscious breathing. You'll be invited to soften, release, and reconnect with the deeper part of yourself that may have been forgotten or muted. This is a powerful inward experience, and it requires your full presence. If you are driving or unable to be still, please pause this episode and return when you can sit or lie down comfortably. Close your eyes and give yourself this way to fully drop into deep awareness. If you have children, wait until they no longer need your time and attention. Listen to this podcast in a space where you can fully let go. If you begin to feel overwhelmed, slowly bring yourself back to the present. The blanket removal breath work leaves you feeling lighter, clearer, and emotionally unburdened, as if a heavy weight has gently lifted, revealing a renewed sense of ease, inner freedom, and your bright inner light can now shine for the world to see. Let's begin. Take a moment to arrive, not by doing more, but by softening. No fixing, no forcing. Feel your breath's current rhythm. Just notice how it moves in you like a quiet tide that has never abandoned you. You've been under a thick blanket for a long time. Not because you were weak, but because you were protecting something precious. And now it's time. Breathe with me in through the nose. One, two, three, four, and hold one, two, three, four. Exhale through your mouth long and steady for seven seconds and rest in through the nose. One, two, three, four, and hold one, two, three, four. Exhale through the mouth long and steady for seven seconds. And rest. Inhale slowly through your nose, filling your stomach with air, and repeat. As you do, imagine your breath slipping under that blanket, finding the edges, breathe in through the nose, hold for four seconds, exhale through the mouth, long and steady for seven seconds. Feel the blanket loosen just a little as you breathe. With each breath out, the blanket grows lighter, not ripped away, not forced. Simply thank the blanket for doing its job of protecting you. Fold it up and set it down beside you. You don't need it anymore. Continue with your breath. Let your shoulders drop down. The weight of the blanket has been lifted. Let the weight slide off your chest. Let the breath remind you how much room you actually have. Underneath that blanket has always been you. Take one more deep breath in. Feel your body expand, claim its space. With the next exhale, let out a long sigh. Allow yourself to mentally step forward, leaving that blanket behind. Breathe. Fill your stomach with air and hold for four seconds. Exhale for seven seconds with a loud sigh. And rest. This is not exposure. This is emergence. It's time to take the weight off. It's time to shine. Slowly bring yourself back. Let your breath return to its natural rhythm. Wiggle your toes. Feel the energy rise up your shins to your knees through the thighs until it meets your pelvis and hips. Feel your natural breath pass through your stomach and up to your chest. Feel your shoulders loosen and relax down your arms and past your elbows. Wiggle your fingers as you come back slowly to the present. Feel the energy travel up to your back of your neck and into the crown of your head. With each breath, you are being more aware, more present. Stay right where you are. Bring your arms across your upper body, right palm to left shoulder, left palm to right shoulder. Give yourself a hug. Hold yourself firmly. Let yourself be held. Take a moment to offer yourself some self-love, some kindness, some appreciation for showing up. That feels amazing. When you're ready, gently open your eyes. Congratulations. You did it. Carry this light you have within you as you return to your day or night. Thank you so much for listening to my podcast.
