Welcome to the Womanhood Podcast. I'm your host, Shannon, Somatic and Energetic Integration Specialist for Women, founder of Somatic Body and creatrice of the Soma Cycle Method and the Feminine Harmony Program. And I'm here to inspire you to reclaim your rhythms, remember your wisdom, and root into your womanhood. Each week I'll be discussing topics centered around our womanhood from a multifaceted, thematic, and energetic viewpoint, weaving together both science with spirituality and masculinity with femininity. We'll be talking cyclical natures and rhythms, intuition, instinct, ancient room wisdom, and grounded embodiment strategy. Find yourself a cozy space and let's get started. Welcome beautiful woman. Before we begin, I want to invite you to find a space that feels safe and undisturbed and held for you. This is your time, your body, your breath, and your presence. And gently allow your eyes to close once you found your space, your safe, undisturbed, and held space. Just invite your eyes to close and take a slow deep inhale through the nose. And exhale softly through your mouth. Again, inhale and exhale. Let your breath begin to anchor you here. Sensing into feminine energy in the body, identifying and experiencing femininity through the senses, through sensuality. So let's begin. Bring your awareness now out of the mind and down into your body. Let your shoulders soften, let your jaw unclench. Your tongue rest gently in your mouth on the top of the roof of the mouth. And feel the weight of your body being supported beneath you. You don't need to hold anything right now. You don't need to do anything right now, just arrive. And now gently begin to notice, notice the sensations present in the body without needing to change them. Perhaps there is a warmth or a coolness, a tightness or a softness. Perhaps there's a combination of sensations that you're feeling. Let your awareness move slowly like a soft wave, scanning from the crown of your head down to your face, your throat, your chest, all the way down to your belly, your hips, your legs, your feet. This is your body speaking, and in this moment, you are simply listening. And now bring your awareness to the five senses in the body. Notice the feeling of the air on your skin. The subtle rhythm of your breath. Notice the texture of the surface beneath you. Notice any visuals that come up with your eyes closed or a gentle gaze. Notice any visuals that are coming through. Noticing any sounds or any thoughts or words that come to mind. Sensuality is not something you perform. It is something that you feel, a quiet pulsing current of aliveness within you. And sensuality, it really is that feminine aspect to sensuality and sexuality. So just let yourself soften into that now, that feminine aspect of that union of sensuality and sexuality. Soften into the senses, into the feminine. Feel the warmth of your own touch. Let your body register these hands as safety, as presence, and as care, self-care. And take a breath here. And as you exhale, allow your belly to soften. Allow your heart to open up just a little bit more. And now we shift from noticing the senses into allowing. Allowing sensations, allowing whatever's present in the body right now, you are safe to feel it. If there is tension, let it be there. If there is emotion, let it rise. You are here to feel. Let your body lead you. And if the body wants to add some subtle movements to this practice, you can invite the body to, if it wants to sway, gently sway. Just allow and follow the body, trust the body. And if it wants to stretch, allow the moments to unfold naturally. This is your body remembering its language as we tap into the feminine. If it feels safe to you, allow your hands to gently move from the heart from the lower belly, perhaps softly brushing up or down your arms, across the collarbones, across the neck. Slow and intentional and present. This isn't performance for anyone else. This is just for you and your pleasure. This is the language of sensation, of sensuality. There is pleasure in sensuality just as much as there is pleasure in sexuality. And sensuality is the language of your feminine aspect of your body. So let yourself receive this, this beautiful touch, and allow it to unfold just like it did when we invited the movements of the body before. Let yourself receive this, this gift. Elongating the inhales and the exhales. Inhale, expanding through the chest and the ribs and the belly. And exhale, softening, releasing, letting your breath begin to guide you. Letting the breath begin to guide your movement as well. Inhale, maybe your chest opens that little bit more. Exhale, your body softens that little bit more. Your body just knows. When we begin to trust our body and our senses, our sensuality, we realize there is no right way. There is just leeway. And now gently bringing in intention. Ask your body softly, what do you need right now? And just pause, listen, remember to trust whatever arises, whatever is expressed or comes forth. What do you need right now? Maybe it's softness, maybe it's stillness, maybe it's expression. Whatever it is, let that be enough. Energy flows where your intentions go. So simply choose to be here with yourself, acknowledging, witnessing, and fulfilling what it is that your body needs right now. And now begin to feel into the space within your body where there is softness, openness, and aliveness. This is your feminine energy inside your body and around your body. It is something that has always lived within you, a quiet and sacred power, perhaps forgotten for a little while or unattended for a little while. So just let yourself rest inside of her. So you'll hear from me shortly. I'll just give you a couple moments. Let your hands return to your heart or rest gently by your sides. Take a deep inhale and a slow exhale, and just notice how your body feels right now. Notice the subtle shifts, the softening, the presence that this has brought you. And this is what happens when you come home to yourself. And so when you feel ready, gently begin to wiggle your toes, your fingers, gently invite the eyes to soften and to open. Take a moment here and remember your sensuality is not something to chase or perform or force, is something to return to, to remember again and again and again and again.
