Welcome To The Womanhood Podcast
This week I'm joined by Anke: Astrologer, Akashic Record Reader and Light Language Facilitator; a woman who moves through the unseen with a rare kind of ease.
Together we explore what it means to trust a knowing that lives deeper than logic; how to listen to the parts of yourself that don't speak in words; how to receive rather than analyse, and what softens when you stop needing every 'felt thing' to be explainable before you'll let yourself FEEL it.

Welcome to the Womanhood Podcast. I'm your host, Shannon, Somatic and Energetic Integration Specialist for Women, founder of Somatic Body and creatrice of the Soma Cycle Method and the Feminine Harmony Program. And I'm here to inspire you to reclaim your rhythms, remember your wisdom, and root into your womanhood. Each week I'll be discussing topics centered around our womanhood from a multifaceted, somatic, and energetic viewpoint, weaving together both science with spirituality and masculinity with femininity. We'll be talking cyclical natures and rhythms, intuition, instincts, ancient womb wisdom, and grounded embodiment strategies. Find yourself a cozy space and let's get started. Okay, hi and welcome to the Womanhood Podcast where we talk all things embodied, somatic, and energetic within womanhood. Today I have Anka here with me, and Anka is an astrologer, mystic, and mother who also provides akashic record readings and light language healing sessions. So welcome, Anka. Thank you. So happy to be here. And just to get started for the listeners to kind of start tuning in to you and to get to know you, how would you describe your experience and the story of how you came to do astrology? How did you come into astrology?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, so I've always felt drawn to the stars and I've always been into anything cosmic, anything, anything related to the stars and ever since that I was a little girl. But there's one story that I feel that very much shows when it started. And it was when I was with my mom. I was just walking through the city and I saw this little small shop, a jewelry, and they had all these little round pendants. And I felt very drawn to one of them. And we asked the seller what it meant, and it turned out to be the Chinese um zodiac signs. Like they had all these different pendants for the Chinese zodiac signs. And the one that I felt naturally drawn to was the sign of the horse. And I'm actually in Chinese astrology a horse sign. And now that is not my specific area of expertise, but I intuitively felt so drawn to it. And ever since I got the necklace and I was always wearing it with so much care. And ever since I just naturally felt drawn to learn more about astrology. And I started to look up zodiac signs and you know, for me and my friends, and it turned out to be just like this little game in the beginning. And then in COVID, I would say, yeah, around COVID time, it turned more into something more professional because I went actually through this spiral of awakening, you could say. Like I had memories coming in from past lives and from galactic life. So what I mean with that is from beyond Earth. And it was really a lot of information to take in and like life shifting during that time. And what actually helped me to come back to myself was astrology because I dove into galactic astrology. So that was giving me language to help me understand what I was experiencing. And I found it so profound that at one point I wanted to share that with others. And that's how I really got into sharing, you know, like astrology as a business and sharing it with others. And yeah, so so that was the the first the galactic astrology, and then later on, the psychological astrology. So what I do right now is a combination of the both. It goes into psychological astrology, galactic astrology. Um one is really felt, like lived in the body, the other is more, you know, for the mind. But I feel like that combination is what really makes it um what makes it your own, what really what you can feel.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, that that's the like it's a good combination of the two. Yeah. You bring heart and mind together.
SPEAKER_00Exactly.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Yeah. I'm curious too though, like when you say you found the pendant and you got curious, it sounds to me like you never lost that inner child aspect of of wonderment and magic. And I'm just curious, did you grow up with you know, a family and an environment where you felt like you could express yourself in that way and that you were supported in that way? Like, did you have, for example, family members who were also open to the spiritual things in life?
SPEAKER_00Yes, definitely. So I I grew up actually with my mom and my sister, the three of us. And my mom, she's a triple Aquarius, so she likes to do things different. And she always um it's not that she just supported me, but she actually encouraged me to really tune in with my intuition, what I was feeling, if something felt good to me, rather than that it would go just through the mind. So from a very young age, I I was allowed to explore everything. And yeah, she has really been a big um yeah, big support going through this. And my sister as well. My my sister and I used to give oracle readings together when we were like 12, 13 years old, like she's a year and a half younger for our friends in school. And yeah, my mom she she liked that we did that. So it was always um very supportive. Yeah, very welcomed, definitely.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's so nice that you had that much room to explore. And it it kind of it it speaks volumes to the woman you are now and you know the life you're living, the career that you have, you know, having that environment growing up is is really beautiful, really special. And I had something similar with my mum where she wasn't into anything specific like astrology or numerology, but what she was interested in was essential oils and dolphin meditation music and you know, spirits talking about spirits. And, you know, when I was sleepwalking as a young kid at night, she'd she'd look into it more than just like the rational aspects, but like, what did that dream mean? She'd go into like dream psychology a little bit and things like that as well. And even I would find myself later on thinking about that. And, you know, she always said to me, even now, like my last birthday card, she wrote it in my birthday card. She said, You were always a quiet observer. You'd sit back and notice, and she's like, I just loved watching you as a child, noticed the whole world around you. And I knew you were noticing more than what everyone else noticed, you know. Like she's she was speaking to that aspect she saw in me that she probably saw in herself as well, right? Because it's like a mirror where we're seeing more than reality, we're seeing more than what's physical, you know. And I think that's really cute to have like I I really vibe with what you were saying because I feel like I also had a similar upbringing. It was so nice to be able to feel like we could explore, you know, everything outside of the physical. Um exactly.
SPEAKER_00Because it's not shut down, right?
SPEAKER_01Like exactly. It's activated already.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and the channels can stay open, and that just makes a huge difference when you're allowed to. I think that allowance that whatever you're seeing, whatever you're experiencing, that is a possibility instead of like this is what it is like, and you have to shut down um any of the other channels. I think it creates a different um form of how you see yourself and how you see the world.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. It it's kind of like I don't want to say a kickstart, but it is. It's it's like um, it's you're already on the right path in terms of having a space and a family that can allow you to just be and explore without having a very, you know, rigid path. And we could speak to that with masculine and feminine too, you know, like it sounds like we both had women around us growing up who were in their feminine and were open to exploring a lot of things. It wasn't like a rigid this is the way and this is the way it must be done. Um and you know, I do believe that masculine and feminine come together to balance. Like my dad was more of the logical thinker. And when I came to him to problem solve and think logically and not be emotional, it was very useful. And then with my mum, when I needed to just cry, that was also very useful, you know, or to feel. And she's also a cancer, which we'll get into astrology, you know, obviously throughout the whole discussion. But she's a she's a cancer sun and I'm a cancer rising. So for her, it's like very easy for her to tap into that emotional connection with me in that way as well, which I'm sure you well, you would definitely understand that. But yeah. So also for the listeners and for myself, because I'm not too familiar with Akashic Records and light language, like having explained that like more simplistically, like how would you start to describe? We can start with Akashic Records, I suppose, and then go into light language. So, what are Akashic Records and how did you come to discover it for yourself?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so the Akashic Records, um, for me, how I see it is that it's an infinite library of information beyond time. So it goes into the past, the future, now, because well, if we really go deep into it, like time is then also an illusion. So everything exists now. So we can always tap into that information um regardless, but the Akashic Records is where it is all stored. And through a meditative state is how you can connect there, and you can basically navigate through the Akashic records of different uh persons, for example. So, what I do within the Akashic Records, if someone asked me, is I would open their records and I would, well, what I do mostly is I go through the soul's journey. So one of the first incarnations, how did the incarnations evolve? Where have people been incarnated? Um, sometimes people people have very specific questions about past lives. What I see most is that they, for example, have seen things in their meditations or they have had certain dreams, but they cannot fully put their finger on it. So they would like to know more and they would like to uh deepen that experience. And what we can then do in the Akashic Records is ask specific questions regarding that experience. But it could also be that um that someone says, like, yeah, I'm just curious about my soul's journey, um, I would like to know more, and then I go into the to the whole journey. So that's the Akashic Records and how I, yeah. So it's basically all information through lifetimes. That's how how I would describe it in the most easy way. But yeah, of course, there comes more to it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. With the Akashic Records and the way you were describing everything, what I'm hearing from that and how I can relate it to my own personal experiences when I've done past life regression like audio journeys, and I've actually created some as well because I got super curious about past life experiences. But what I found really interesting is when I went to create my own past life regression audio journey, I did a bunch of research on what it was. And funnily enough, Akashic Records never came up. But what I did come to find is that when we do a past life regression, you know, journey or experience, or we have someone guiding and facilitating us, it's not necessarily just about a past life, you know, it's it could be anything within the soul's journey. And so when you speak about Akashic Records, that really resonates and I can see the similarities to like the experience of doing a past life regression, you know, session and diving into Akashic Records. Do you have people confusing the two, or do you see that they are kind of similar or different?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, I I also studied uh Beyond Quantum Healing, for example, where you really go into like past lives and past life regression. But how I see the difference is that with a beyond quantum healing session, is when you regress someone back to their past life, is the person experiences it. They see it in their own experience, in their own visual. But the Akashic Records goes beyond just past lives because it goes into the infinite possibility of everything. So it's not just past lives, it's the future, it's the here, it's the now, it's literally any form of information that you could well, you have to think of the question in order to get to the end in that way as well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, because it's far more broad in the archive, but more specific with what the person wants to search for, right?
SPEAKER_00Or to be if I go in without specific questions, like anything can show up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so yeah, I I like to work with specific questions to um really help someone with uh with with what they are searching for. But sometimes literally the question is like, what needs to show up right now? That could also be the question, of course.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and then trusting that what comes through is what is meant to be, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so yeah, so so there is definitely this similarity, but with the Akashic Records, is I would be um sharing the information sometimes live, sometimes afterwards, but with a past life regression, is you really experience it yourself, like you are going on on the journey.
SPEAKER_01I think that is um that makes sense because when I looked it up, it was like it is a self-led journey, which is where that audio journey I created was for that person, whoever listens, to experience it for themselves. So that makes sense, yeah. And whereas you have a guide facilitating you and going through specific questions, and it's it's going through a really deep, like you say, a soul journey archive. That actually sounds really like I would love to do that with you now. Now that you're telling me about it, I want to do this. So yeah, I would love to do that. That sounds amazing. Sounds very expansive and deep. And I mean, it speaks to how I like perceive you as well, in your energy, is that you have this really uh this vast capacity to be deep. And I I know you mentioned before the recording you have some Pisces elements in you as well, that to have that deep container of nurturing and and being able to guide people through the spiritual realm specifically as well. Yeah. So that's really beautiful. And then with light language, can we speak to that a little bit and how you came into that, how you explored that and found that for yourself?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Actually, after my astrology journey, so yeah, if if we look at like this human timeline, it was actually first the Akashic Records, then it was astrology, and then it was uh light language. So I am not necessarily doing everything in uh in order, but everything comes to me through different layers of my own spiritual awakening. And what happened with light language is that actually I got very sick in my body. So I was maybe for four to six weeks that I couldn't really uh sleep. I had to sit up, my whole body was uh aching. And um, I I worked with uh with a mentor and we would go on different journeys together. And she's uh specialized in in light language, but what came up for me was were specifically light codes. So yes, it's light language, but how I perceive it is through codes. So that's that was my journey that I had to really be still in my body, not being able to move in order to receive it. And now looking back, I I can put words to it. In that moment, I was really not understanding what was going on, but now I can put the words to it is that my consciousness kept expanding and it was rapidly expanding through, you know, like through receiving all these light codes. So I went went up and up and up, but I rarely went down and down back to the body. So I was just expanding and expanding to the point that my body literally didn't know how to keep up anymore. And I started to feel these aches in my body, and um I actually did a somatic release like intuitively. So that I I know that's what what you work with a lot. Exactly. And um, so a lion showed up and a serpent, so very specific um like guides to to help me purge and um really release like everything that was that was stuck, that was not allowing like my expanded consciousness to really uh flow through my through my own body. And from there, after that, yeah, well, parallel to that, I also went to kundalini activation. So so my the kundalini active like energy was also um flowing more naturally through through my spine. Um that helped me to get better actually. And then my light language came through as a as a result afterwards. So all of a sudden I started to speak uh light language, and I was receiving a lot of information through those light codes. And how I see it is that light language is basically a soul frequency. So it's not a language that we learn like English or Dutch. It's like it goes beyond everything that we have learned. It's a frequency that we can tune into, and you will feel it in your body, you will resonate with it or not, if it's not for you, like you will pick up what is meant for you. But I I feel it's like the frequency language of your soul. And there are different dialects within light language. And I notice that when I am really tuning into the frequency of, well, I I have a very galactic tendency with my Pisces moon. So sometimes I I really connect to, for example, the Palladian frequency or the serious frequency, but it could also really be this frequency of you know, earth mothers there, but I feel it through um, yeah, through my body, and then it it speaks.
SPEAKER_01That's so so beautiful. And I'm really feeling that and relating that to my experience too. I have witnessed many people express light language and even talk about light language. And for me, I never thought to correlate it with my own experiences because I didn't feel like up until now that you've expressed what you believe light language to be and light codes to be. Now I can see that when I do my Reiki sessions and my Womhara sessions, I've got, this is how I can relate to it, uh light language of my own coming through. But it's it's not in the ways that I perceive other people's light language when they share and express theirs, because mine is like a really deep, earthy tuning that comes in, a vocal tuning. And it doesn't come from something conscious, like it's not from a logical, conscious, thought-based state. It comes from something very deep within and it comes to heal and it comes to nurture whoever I'm working with on the table, and it just comes out and I just let it. And I I think it's really funny thinking now that I'm just it's just hitting me now and it's like activating in me now as I'm speaking. I'm still in my adolescent years with this, so to speak, because I only started having the courage to use tuning uh in practice outside of just my mom, because I was starting with my mom a few years ago. And now I'm starting to use the tuning with people who are open to receiving it at the end of sessions. And I'm still in my adolescent years in the sense that like sometimes I'll try a different frequency, as in a different tone, a different note, and it doesn't quite feel right. So then I come back down to that deeper tone. And I think it's just that's the frequency I'm on right now, is like that deeper earthy tone. And the feedback I get is that deeper tone's really beautiful afterwards, you know. So um, yeah, it's all how it's meant to be. But that was really cool to learn that and to expand from that. I like that, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and it can so much relate to how with with the Reiki that that is so connected for you. Um in my journey, I I also started with with a Reiki. Um and like the the Reiki attunements really open you also to receive that frequency.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So I yeah, I can completely see how that shows up in your your healings, and then with the deep earthy zone, having your your Taurus sun, like I keep thinking about that it's exactly at zero degrees, um, which really feels to me that you have like this really this base of the the Taurus sun, like you are really embodying that, and how that then comes through in your your session is is really beautiful that it intuitively just unfolds in and you practice with those frequencies and you feel for yourself like there there it goes. Like that's really beautiful.
SPEAKER_01I really enjoyed you speaking about that as well. Um, and like just expanding. I was I was very curious when you mentioned that you also do akashic record readings and light language sessions as well. So that's definitely something I would love to explore personally with you, like in session as well in the future. But I do want to shift gears a little bit and start to talk a bit more about astrology within womanhood. You know, this is the womanhood podcast. So I would love to speak to the aspects in astrology that are or that represent the feminine. And so, what aspects of astrology would you say represent the feminine? And where could we start? Yeah. For women, you know, to help empower women with. tuning into that aspect of themselves.
SPEAKER_00Yes, definitely. So well in astrology we have eight planets and two luminaries. And how I work with like the uh the feminine and the masculine, if you like, well let's start with with the feminine, right? Like it's it's the it's the womanhood uh podcast. I always first look at the moon because the moon is in astrology it's the mother it's the divine feminine it's the yin energy it really carries that inwards um expression it's very intuitive it's it's feeling um and if you translate that also to to womanhood if you if you think about the moon it's the fastest moving planet or luminary in the sky and every two and a half days it goes into a different zodiac sign. So you can think that every two and a half days it has a different emotional lens through which it's expressing itself. And that is affecting all of us not just women men as well but women naturally are very in tune with the moon like we we feel these changes naturally. So every two and a half days she goes into a different zodiac sign. And if you think about like womanhood and how women change throughout the months throughout the month because so the moon takes about 28 days to go through like a month to go through all the the 12 zodiac signs and we see that the same with women right like our period cycle for example but also how we change our moods quite literally often how our hormones can shift. So we in a way are mirroring the moon and every couple of days like I I work with the moon very uh closely so I know exactly where the moon is for each day and where that shows up in my chart because I know that area of life can get me a bit emotional or can get me you know like um there might a trick like a trigger might show up and I know exactly in which zodiac uh signs um I'm gonna feel better or I'm gonna feel maybe a bit more worried or so it's it's really um it's almost like this like this gift that the moon is giving us to to embody in our own lives in our day to day to make things flow more naturally but also to give ourselves like this this permission slip like it makes sense that I'm feeling this way. Like it's it's it's normal and we don't have to rush ourselves and we don't have to feel that we have to feel like everyone else because no this moon is for me falling here and yeah it it gives us this sense of um feeling into ourselves and understanding why we have certain emotions. And I think that's the most feminine part of astrology is is the moon. Of course there are many more parts to look at but if you start anywhere I would always start yeah with the moon.
SPEAKER_01Yeah when I was living in Spain so for those of you who don't know um I was living in Spain and then when I moved back to Australia Unc and I reconnected from social media and then I realized she was living in Spain. But when I was living in Spain there was a lot of that culture like within the Spanish culture the masculine and feminine not only within the language but they do say El Sol en La Luna and that is literally masculine and feminine in how they say it as well. And I actually saw it represented a lot like they'd have sun and moon symbols in a lot of the spiritual communities everywhere and talk about the masculine and feminine as this dynamic duo. And that's something I really grew to embody while I was there. And not only that but while I was living in Spain because it was just myself and my partner a lot of what had occurred while we were living there for a year and a half was relational was to do with sun and moon dynamic and you know me learning a lot more about my moons. It was also in the midst of me creating feminine harmony my 12 month program and within that I actually did put you know I kind of divided womanhood seasons as two main seasons. We all go through a lot of different phases and chapters in life but the two main seasons of womanhood being our bleed cycle like our bleed era where we have our menstrual cycle and our lunar era which is where we no longer have a bleed whether it's from pregnancy or perimenopause, menopause and that cessation of the bleed occurs, well then we can look to the moon and follow her. And so it's so beautiful that you're already doing that. And that's what I speak to the women inside feminine harmony as well is like whether you have a bleed or not, you can always reflect on the emotional aspects and how that's going to be affecting us based on what's in the sky. It's something that I talk about not from a astrology lens but just more from the energetic frequency lens as well.
SPEAKER_00Which I suppose it stems from astrology right because astrology goes back like a millennia right it started with I think you can correct me it's Egyptian astrology was one of the first correct yeah it goes back like ancient wisdom and I believe that it it does come back from from astrology and so many ancient cultures and ancient um wisdom keep keepers have put that into other teachings as well and that's how it keeps showing up in in different ways um but I feel like our ancestors they they knew this they they knew how to work with astrology how to work with the moon with Venus for example that's a really good feminine example of as well and yeah I love how you are describing like the sun as the masculine and the moon as as the feminine and um also with with our bleed we can look at the new moon versus the full moon for example so yeah you you keep see you keep coming back to to the scene it's just different language that we're putting it to but the wisdom remains uh quite similar and I love how how that you know like evolves over time but it's still there you know like strongly being passed down through through lineage through ancestry and the other thing that I've come to witness recently and maybe you can actually speak to this in terms of womanhood and astrology maybe you have a perspective on this but the thing I've come to witness witness recently is that women are starting to get really curious with their cycle and you could say on social media it's become a trend in the last say five or you know seven years but women are getting really curious with the honoring of their wombs and the honoring of their cycle and not only that but then also correlating it with the moon especially when they're going through something like their first time motherhood or pregnancy or going through menopause.
SPEAKER_01They're linking that to the moon and to the frequencies that match and so is there anything you can think of in the last say for me it's I've noticed it maybe five to seven years where women are starting to come back to the ancient wisdom. Do you see in astrology where that could be like showing up and maybe why that's happening?
SPEAKER_00Is there like a theory you might have to that yeah like the first thing that pops to my mind is that Uranus the like the planet of awakening has gone through the the sign of Taurus in the last well I don't know the exact years but it must have been like at least eight years maybe a bit longer I would need to double check like the exact years. And it recently moved into Gemini so it has gone through through Taurus which is the sign of um you know like the earth mothers I would say like cancer in general is is the sign related to the mother frequency but Taurus also is a feminine sign and it is really related to the earth is really related to you know like um groundedness and coming back to the body it's the it's the sign of embodiment and I love also how that's reflected in in your work being Taurus um but Uranus the planet of awakening going through that sign has probably awakened a lot of women coming back to themselves because it's something that we have always known right like it's wisdom that comes from within we don't have to seek it outwards we just have to go inwards in meditation and all the answers are are there to be found. But when we keep listening to everything that happens around us and we have been living in a patriarchy for a very long time where it has been normalized to just keep showing up you have to work nine to five you have to well we know the examples right like it it has been such a long time of pushing women to to work like men while our system is lunar and I believe that Uranus has really um awakened also that path to to really come back to ourselves and that that's the the first thing that comes to mind and now that it's in Gemini we're probably gonna speak up more about it and yeah yeah it's it's the sign of communication yeah expand through networking communication right is that kind of the frequencies of Gemini yeah yeah it's it's also the sign of really you know like it's the the voice it's like speaking it's um and you have like the the twins so one is mortal one is immortal so it's also the messenger from beyond like it's not just related to the mind even though that's what you would think at first because it's Mercury ruled Mercury is the planet of our mental body but the twins do really symbolize that whatever is being communicated comes through a different channel it comes through other realms and is then expressed in the living world. So that that's how I view it. I have a very esoteric approach to astrology at times and but I feel like a lot of wisdom lives in that methodology. We have just simply forgotten it.
SPEAKER_01But it it was always there for us to to connect to and I heard you mention that you know Mercury pertains to the mental body and emotional bodies pertaining to the moon correct exactly yeah and I mean I would love to know what your perspective is as well on like with astrology the four bodies that I speak to I'm not sure if you're familiar with them but you know you have the physical body you mentioned Taurus um what in terms of planets what planets would you say relate most to each of the shall we say four bodies and when I say four bodies we have like physical mental emotional and then soul like energetic do you have particular planets that come to mind with each of those four bodies?
SPEAKER_00Yeah so this is just coming to mind right now but if you're speaking about like the the spiritual body or the energetical body I would connect that mostly to Neptune and Neptune is the ruler of Pisces because Pisces is is the is the end of the cycle is is is the completion of the zodiac sign um and Pisces is like two fish swimming in in two opposite directions and one fish is in this reality and the other fish is in another realm. Like Pisces really has that that channel open to be in this world and in the other world but in a very different way than uh the Gemini that is connecting it to the mind. Pisces is really connecting it yeah it's like unconsciousness yeah it's like this unconscious love also like this unconditional love and compassion um that's connected and I suppose that's that water element right because the water element's very feminine so that's that like softer energy.
SPEAKER_01It's not as mindset you know logic and masculine in comparison to yeah the mental body Mercury Gemini yeah yeah that makes sense wow okay this is like a new perspective for me and it's actually connecting a lot of what I put in to my teachings even more it's like adding more depth just talking to you about it now. So that's really cool.
SPEAKER_00You mentioned Venus as well previously and I want to kind of come into Venus and how this because I haven't explored Venus a lot in terms of astrology for myself and when talking to others who were you know astrologists or astrologers what role is Venus what are the frequencies of Venus and how does that relate to womanhood and femininity so I really like to to work with with Venus um when I look at Venus I like Venus herself she is uh the planet of uh love uh beauty of attraction how we are magnetic but there's also this deeper layer of um self-love and um you know like value but value from within so there's not just the outside there's also the inside that's how I I view Venus and Venus is ruling two signs within the zodiac sign and one of them is Taurus I would say is like the the inner um the feminine version and then you also have um she's also um ruling Libra and Libra is more you know outwards and has more this uh officially it's a masculine uh zodiac sign so if if you look at it from that point of view I like to see how like what is Venus doing in the chart in connection to the sun like the masculine and in connection to the moon the feminine so Venus herself is always traveling closely with the moon. You will never see her further away like by mind 40 to 45 degrees on each side so she's always going to be um one two signs behind the sun or one two signs in front of the sun and seeing where Venus is in connection to the sun will give you the the expression of a person how they are relating to to love outwardly because it's the sun. So for example in your chart like your sun is at zero degrees of Taurus and your Venus is in Aries my mind at six degrees of Aries so she is um she's behind the sun so when we see a Venus that is behind the sun we call it an uh evening star. So she was an evening star and that shows me that yes your Venus is an Aries it's fiery it has this masculine aspect to it but it's an evening star. So it's very inward it's very receptive and it's very uh waiting to be invited and waiting to to receive it's it's a very feminine aspect to your Venus even though she's an Aries so maybe when you hear like the description of like an Aries Venus you're like I don't know if that's completely me because we yeah and I've thought that about my moon too like my moon is in Aries as well which is like very masculine being Aries but in a moon which is like more of that emotional body and that femininity.
SPEAKER_01So I've always struggled to relate to both my moon and my Venus aspects yeah in that way.
SPEAKER_00Yeah yeah yeah and and that's why we always have to look at like what are the other placements to which planet is your moon for example talking where in which house is your moon because that will give the unique combination specifically to you so there comes more to it than just the archetype. We all have these different archetypes like I believe that we have all the 12 archetypes within us but they are expressed for each person individually in a unique way so with with your Venus there in in Aries behind the sun is this very feminine aspect to it that that's very like lunar I would say and on the other hand if it would have been let's say in at the end of Taurus she would have been a a morning morning star. So she would have been taking much more initiation she would have been very active um you know in how she shows up with love or attraction or magnetism she would take the lead on on that part.
SPEAKER_01Yeah I get that yeah because she would have been in front of the sun relative to the earth rather than behind it.
SPEAKER_00Exactly yeah exactly yeah and then Venus with the moon so that I I usually look at Venus in combination to the to the sun that is like the outward expression and then um how we like outward expression of love do you mean yeah of love in a loving way yeah and then seeing how she's talking to the moon Venus and the moon how they are talking together in in each art will show me how it shows up internally what you need internally and self-love and um you know like really that connection to how you see yourself in terms of love how what even like what you think you need in order to receive love it is really that other side to it and I have a personal um example for this as well because my moon for example is in um so it's 20 degrees of Pisces but my Venus is 21 degrees of Gemini. So they are in in square to each other because Gemini and Pisces they are both mutable signs. So then they create a square and a square is very easy um to describe it's creating tension. It's not just tension it could also be activation. So because everything has a high and a low road so it could be tension in its worst but it could be activation at its best right like it always goes both ways. But how that shows up for me for example is that that square is always um I always am asking myself like do I have to show up for others first before I can show up for me? Like do I have to first be valued by someone else before I can value myself so it's always like that push and pull and that's the square. So knowing those things then can really help you to to figure out like yeah it creates the awareness and then from that awareness you can make different choices.
SPEAKER_01You can actually take the low road and make it a high road right like wow that's really cool and that reminds me of when I had a previous reading and I was talking to you about this prior to the episode where I have the square of it's my uh Mars and my moon where I have uh Mars Cancer in Cancer and a moon in Aries and they're squaring each other. And I remember taking that in the most out of the recording that I had with or the session that I had with the astrologer because even though it was a shadow work reading that hit and activated something in me and I felt seen and I felt like oh it's okay to feel that moment of conflict when that happens you know when I feel that way it just it's not that it validated my behavior if I had a really poor outward expression but it's like that internal feeling I felt like I had the permission after hearing that. And I think the way you just like described your square and that was between Venus and moon, correct? For yours, you know, and how that helps for you to understand when that comes in it can be quite activating or it can be quite conflicting and feel like a resistance. And for me that's the same with my uh Mars and my moon and I I always come back to that when I feel a moment of conflict inside that it's okay to feel that way, you know?
SPEAKER_00That is those are things that can trigger us especially when it's the moon because it's our emotional body but it's also what we then learn from the most in order to you know evolve on our soul's path. So it's not always fun to experience it but sometimes we really see that early in life it's like conflict and tension but as we evolve and grow it becomes actually one of our strengths.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And since bringing in somatic embodiment practices for myself, I would say that was key for me. I shared that in a previous episode when I interviewed Sarah bringing in the embodiment which as you mentioned helped me to embody my Torah sun a lot more that was like that key element that allowed me to be able to nurture and witness and process my emotions because there's always been that conflict internally of not being able to fully process or even to fully recognize the emotions it was a very like unconscious reactive um like kind of coming out like a Mars like anger in my emotions prior to doing the somatic embodiment and since bringing that in and bringing in that that groundedness of the Taurus through embodiment and being able to recognize and have activations with astrology with that astrology reading I had about the squaring of those two planets it's it's been a lot more I would say that's been a very profound activation within me and not only for myself but also for my partner too. You know it makes me feel seen and that it's okay for me to express how I'm feeling with him more and then he can understand me more. And it doesn't come out in a really like angry attacking aggressive way anymore because there's that friction's not there. I understand it. The awareness is there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So that's an example for anyone listening of how astrology, how profound and activating astrology can be it's not a There's a misconception that astrology is used for people to validate their poor behaviors and that it's like instills a very like fixed idea or ego of who people think they are, but it's not even about that, right? Like it's actually just about becoming and embodying the parts of you and getting to know yourself more.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah. I always say that the chart is just potential, but we as humans, we decide how to act upon it. So it's never like set in stone like this is going to happen because there are always different ways of getting there, like the journeys are always different. But the potential is there, and then you work with it to, like you said, like to embody it, to um really live your chart. And for example, the rising sign, sometimes people have a rising sign that they do not fully uh feel connected to yet. Yet the outworld outward world seems to see them in that way, right? Like that's something that other people already see, but they don't fully feel it yet. But that's is it's also like very connected to what you just said because the rising sign is what we are rising into over this lifetime. It's like we are born and then we are rising towards that soul expression. Yeah, we are rising into it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, that's beautiful. And I actually listened, it was the very first episode of your podcast channel that I listened to was one that you posted on Instagram about you becoming and embodying your rising, your cancer rising, correct? Yes. And I really related to that because I'm also a cancer rising. And so I was like, oh, I don't relate to my cancer rising. So I'm curious as to what her experience is as an astrologer. And I listened to that episode and I remember messaging you afterwards saying, I loved that episode, thank you so much, because it activated something for me and gave me, not that I needed the permission, but it gave me the reassurance that, like, oh, it's okay that I don't necessarily relate to it right now. All is happening, it's that reminder, all is happening as it's meant to. And the other thing I found really, really beautiful about listening to that episode is your expressions of how motherhood activated that for you. That feminine aspect activated that for you, which it like makes so much sense once we start to understand what cancer is, right? As a zodiac. Um, and so we could even speak to particular zodiacs, I suppose, that are more feminine and activate the feminine within us in that way as well, right? Like because there are some zodiacs that are more masculine, like Aries, we've talked about, and then more feminine, like I'm assuming cancer is more feminine and Taurus, we've mentioned, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I always like to divide it by the elements. I think that's the easiest way to look at it. So you have the water and the earth elements, and they are considered feminine or yin energy, and then you have air and fire, which are considered to be masculine or yang. Yeah. And in that example that you're mentioning about my my cancer rising, my son is in cancer at the exact same degree as my as my rising sign. And yet, like when I was younger, I was always wondering, you know, like how are they like I of course I was always like I speak very soft, I am definitely more feminine, I am nurturing to the people around me, I'm very emotional. So, yes, I always understood the cancer part, but I was wondering about the mother frequency part of it. And I always feel like is when I was initiated through through motherhood, like becoming a mother the first time, that's where you know the soul, the rising sign and the identity, the sun, really like aligned with each other. And that's where I feel like my whole chart got activated and I really stepped into this, um, even like this this outward showing of my archetypes rather than just inward and holding it for a very close circle around me. Uh, and I stepped into also wanting to share it through my work and uh showing up that way. So for me, it was yeah, really like that activation of the rising with the sun uh together. Wow, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And motherhood did that for you, which is so beautiful because you mentioned mother being like that archetype being related to the cancer zodiac. So it's like it all aligned as it was meant to, which is so cool. One thing that keeps coming up for me in the background as we're chatting is with astrology and the feminine aspects, what would be a practical way that listeners, if there is any, that listeners could incorporate their more feminine aspects of their chart into their life to embody? Like, what would you recommend are like strategies and things they could do to embody the feminine aspects of the moon and Venus? Like we've talked particularly about the moon and Venus. So I guess I'll ask within those two aspects, how can we start to embody those more and in that way bring in more femininity and embrace our womanhood? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's a beautiful question. Yeah, I love that. Um, like what pops to mind straight away is like if you if you don't know where to start and you just can do one thing is do your moon. That's it. Like do your moon, look up where your moon is, and um because right like nowadays it's so easy to find out where your moon is because whatever your moon is doing in your chart, when you are having a bad day, when you're feeling really down, when everything seems to work against you, I know that's definitely not the case, but it's sometimes you can really feel that way. And when is it's basically when your emotional body is having too much, you step into your moon and it's gonna um shift you know your your energy, and then the spiral goes back up again. So if there's one thing, I would definitely just look up your moon sign if you are a bit more advanced, your house placements, because they are um they are really intertwined with each other, like the moon sign is half of it, and then the house is the other part. Um, and then yeah, do your moon sign and um on on a daily base, if you like I have this moon app that just shows me every day where the moon is. And by knowing that where the moon is and my knowing my personal moon, I know like, okay, this day I'm gonna have you know to work a little bit with my emotional body to feel good. And those little things um really help to bring it in your day-to-day, to make it applied instead of just information that is, oh, that's nice to hear about myself. But no, like we can really work with that on day to day and make life flow easier.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Because it's one thing to sit here and chat, like we are on the like in this episode, and to talk about the theory behind it, but to embody it is a whole different thing. And so that's really beautiful that you uh and I find it really important as well to be able to invite the listeners, to invite anyone that you work with to look back in like intrustively to themselves. What's happening for you specifically? Because we are here collectively on this journey in life. We're all interconnected, right? But then we're also here in this life to experience life in our like through our own lens and in our own unique way. And so if we want to embody our feminine and our womanhood and it it is up to us, then it makes sense that we come back to us and start to intercept and really start to understand those feminine aspects and that inner working. I noticed you mentioned looking at where your moon is relative to the sun and where it is relative to Venus. Is that correct? Or was it looking at where Venus is relative? I think it was Venus, wasn't it? Relative to the sun and relative to the moon. Yeah. So when you mentioned looking at Venus relative to the sun and the moon, is that something else that we can start to look at to embody the feminine?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, definitely. If if you are able to pull up your own chart, you could have a look. Otherwise, of course, I'm happy to help with those things. Like, yeah, I I I can explain it, how it shows up for someone specifically. Um, but it it does help because it gives you an understanding of first, first it starts always with awareness and with understanding. And from there, like what I mentioned before, you can choose different. So if you notice that, okay, my Venus and my moon are speaking in a way to each other that I find it difficult to choose myself first. Okay, but that is kind of like this pattern of mine. Maybe next time I'm first gonna say yes to myself because from this full cup, I can pour, you know, like I can nurture other people as well. Because I see that a lot, like with with women specifically, we tend to nurture others before ourselves. And then nurturing from an empty cup is really difficult. Um, so having that awareness, like, okay, this is just my my default behavior, but I'm stepping now into first doing something for me so that I can do things for others. I know this is a very simple um concept uh example, but it it really does work because with those small steps is like how everything starts to evolve more natural and flowing.
SPEAKER_01And yeah, yeah. I think simplicity also is what allows the body, the space and time to embody. You know, it's if we complicate things or overcomplicate things, it almost seems too overwhelming for not only our physical body and our nervous system, but all the aspects of us to really fully integrate it because there's too much to consider in the mind. It's like our mind starts to overactivate. And then the rest of the bodies, like our soul, our heart, and our physicality, feel like they can't keep up, you know? And so by coming back to simplicity, we can start to fully, you know, slow down and integrate the embodiment of something and really experience it for ourselves. So I love that you said just start simple, start with the moon placements. If you want to go deeper, go deeper with me, which I would love to do sessions with you. I'm very excited. So we're gonna chat about this afterwards. Um yeah, that's great. That's I really love what you've suggested there. Before we tie everything up together, what I'll just ask is are there any final thoughts or seeds of wisdoms, like just based on everything we've talked about, that you feel called to sharing before we finish up? Yeah. Just given everything we've talked about.
SPEAKER_00What's done for you? Yeah, if if I think about it, because we all go through we've we've talked a lot about the moon, like our emotional body and how every two days it can shift again. And I feel that if we are in like a little bit of a downwards spiral and we keep coming to the same point and we keep feeling that, oh, I'm just doing the same thing over and over again and it's triggering me, but I don't know how to step out of it. I think it is really good to remember that sometimes it feels like it's repetitive, but every time that we are taking just one learning from it, we are one step closer to stepping into a spiral and we are breaking that loop. And sometimes these repetitive things are actually showing us where we are finally uh allowed or finally able to break that loop and we go into the spiral, and then from that spiral, we you know start to see things different and um really start to see it from our soul self. Like that's a big thing for me, like seeing it from the eyes of the soul rather than you know from the mind where where we can feel that we're stuck, but we're not. And I feel is that working with our emotional body and the connection to our consciousness and our awareness, like stepping into the spiral, those little steps, that is going to make a huge difference um moving forward. Like for me, that that changed a lot.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that I love everything you just said. And I totally am 100% on board with this. It's something that's been coming up for me and that I've noticed I've been talking to people about, even on social media, is that like allow yourself the permission to go through these cycles and these things that even though they feel repetitive and like you're going through the same, you know, pattern again, allow them to be expensive and teaching you every time. You know, we don't need to look at it like we're back stepping. You know, I recently talked about this. We're not we don't ever actually backstep because the awareness every time we go through a cycle is more and more expensive every time, even if it feels just that little bit more expensive, you know? So I I definitely agree with everything you just said. That's so beautiful that you've finalized this episode in that way. That's really nice. And so if there's anything that the listeners or I could do for you, just one thing, what would that be for us today? Like where can we find you after this episode's finished? Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Well, I recently actually launched my um The Thirteenth Temple. So you can find me on uh thethirteentemple.com. And I work in three ways with with people. So I have door one, two, and three. So it's either through community to uh through one-on-one guidance or through um, you know, like a journey together. It's a four-week program. It's all weaving together astrology and the cashic records and like language. So it's it's a combination of of the three, but all to really come back to seeing yourself through through your soul's eyes. So what I was saying before. And so, yeah, if if you can do one thing for me, like come visit me at uh my website uh that is literally uh launching today. Um or on Instagram, so it's Anke Osabarde, and then uh yeah, like an underscore, I would say. Um, or my podcast, I have a podcast star line activations, um, yeah, and I just love to connect. So um send me a little message and I I would love to hear your thoughts.
SPEAKER_01Anka has such a welcoming and nurturing and just unconditional love to her ways in communicating, connecting with you. That's what I've come to experience. And the fact that I even just felt comfortable literally just reaching out to her on Instagram after listening to one of her podcast episodes, like this is how we met, like a year ago maybe, um, speaks volumes to the energy that she emits. So if you really feel activated in that as well, I highly recommend you you connect with her. And I'm gonna pop all of her links in the show notes below if that is something you want to do. So yeah, um, I think we'll that leaves us with, you know, we're ready to wrap things up for today. So thank you, Anka, for your space and time during this episode. And you never know, perhaps we'll have you come visit the channel again in the future. Um, and to the listeners, we'll see you next week. Bye.
SPEAKER_00Thank you.
SPEAKER_01As we finish this week's episode, remember that you are your own rhythm keeper. So just keep listening for that rhythm and keep coming home to you. Until next time, with love, Shannon at Somatic Body.
