Steve O'Brien (aka Stevo)

Hi I'm Stevo, the Lead Producer of the Podcast.

This is where I'm supposed to write about me? hmmmm ok this could be fun 😂

I'm a late diagnosed AuDHDer, I was diagnosed first with ADHD in 2023 & then Autism in 2025. It's been a hell of a journey since then, mostly working in the catering and hospitality sector from glass washer up to hotel manager, with a stint in fast food management. I have various roles within AWP - Oliver McGowan Autistic co-trainer & Training Support Assistant are my paid roles. Voluntarily I am a member of the fundraising team, a training peer mentor and lead producer of this podcast which is a whole new experience that I'm having fun with and enjoying.....I don't enjoy sitting on the sofa much as you will find out in the early episodes.

I live with my 10 year old furchild Bobby Boo, who I adore to bits, he is a Shih Tzu cross and has been my companion since he was 9 weeks old.

For 4 years, I’ve been a disability advocate, sharing my health story around the world. I volunteer as a Lived Experience Expert for charities including The Migraine Trust & the Poverty Truth Commission and I’m a  National Ambassador for Purple Tuesday. Recently, I became an Oliver McGowan Autistic Co-Trainer for the AWP, which I’m really proud of!
I wanted to be a part of this project having had previous experience of creating & editing a group podcast also my love of talking about all things about being neurodivergent.
My special interests are Taylor Swift, Disney (especially Stitch) and the TV shows Friends and Miranda.
In spare time, I love to go and support Manchester United Women’s team at their home games, go on spontaneous adventures with my PAs, make friendship bracelets as well as sit-skiing!

I’m Kath. I’m late diagnosed autistic, a mum/parent carer and most importantly, I’m 100% me!
Growing up, I was in foster care and I’m proud to say that I’ve got through some tough times in my life.
I’m always someone who wants to see the best in people and making sure they take the time to rest (even when sometimes I struggle with my own advice with my own tiredness that comes with the menopause!).
The reason why I joined the Autism Wellbeing Podcast was because I love to try new challenges that take me out of my comfort zone…I may take longer to get there with certain things but I will always try and get there in the end. I’ve really loved it and being a part of this amazing team!
In my spare time, I love to bake and cook as well as growing fruit & veg in my garden.
