Jonathon Halbesleben is the seventh dean of the Carlos Alvarez College of Business at The University of Texas at San Antonio. He is also the Bodenstedt Chair for the Dean of Business and the Tom C. Frost Distinguished University Chair for Business Excellence.

Since joining UT San Antonio in 2022, he has led the college in three priority areas: enhancing student success programs, increasing research productivity and building relationships with the business community.

In addition to his administrative duties, Halbesleben serves as professor of management. He has written or edited 17 books and published over 95 peer-reviewed journal articles on topics such as employee well-being, work-family issues and relationships in and out of the workplace. He is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
