Psychedelics can crack your world open and they can also crack you. We start with a deceptively light jump off point (heat waves, old British comedy, and why some sketches feel like they were written on another planet) and land in a serious question: what are hallucinogens actually doing to the mind, the nervous system, and whatever you think sits beyond them?

We unpack the Oracle of Delphi as an ancient metaphor for altered states, then get personal about mushrooms, fear, and the difference between chasing a high versus seeking healing. From there we dig into the controversy around psilocybin microdosing for trauma, addiction, and PTSD, including a striking story of extreme mushroom use that’s followed by a “death and rebirth” experience and reported physical recovery. We also challenge the modern medical impulse to extract a compound, mass produce it, and call it a protocol while ignoring set, setting, detox, and integration.

The conversation widens to traditional ayahuasca ceremonies, the importance of trained guidance, and the real danger of unqualified facilitators. We also offer an alternative path: fasting, nature therapy, and a subtraction approach that removes noise so the body can “listen” again, with a reminder that you still have to come back to ordinary life and live it well.

If this topic matters to you, subscribe, share the show with a friend who’s curious but cautious, and leave a review. Where do you stand on psychedelic healing: promising tool, dangerous gamble, or both?

Heat Wave Banter And Old Comedy

SPEAKER_00

Well, welcome back to the Doctor's No More. That's no more podcast with me, Doctor Jeremy, and my wonderfully hot, and and of course I mean in not in the sexual side of hot, although he is sexy. He's in UK and they're having a heat wave, and people are trains are stopping, schools are closing, and it's 36 sweltering degrees centigrade.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it's extreme weather. It's extreme.

SPEAKER_00

So you can't see us, but he has a wet towel. I thought for a minute there he'd converted to extreme Muslim, but apparently no, it's a damp towel. It's too damp towel to bathe his. You know what it made me think of?

SPEAKER_02

It made me think of. You know, when you saw those like 70s sort of movies of of seaside uh England, and all the men say yes, but keep going. Yeah, and then and the men would be there with on the seaside with a handkerchief with the knots tied.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, in the end of the end. That's a classic carry-on movie, isn't it? I exactly, yeah. Yeah, I'm actually thinking of watching some of the carry-on movies with the boys because they actually sent me a clip of one of the other day, and that it's the first time they come across it, and I thought it was hilarious.

SPEAKER_02

It is hilarious, yeah. I mean, comedy, but you know, I I saw a Monty Python thing, uh, it just came up on on uh YouTube feed because it was football and the World Cup. There's this Monty Python clip of um the Greek philosophers against I think Russian, you know, but like I can't remember, but I'm already like they put the ball in the middle and and they and the referee sort of is I think the referee was Confucius, right? With and he blows the whistle and they just all go off and they they've got their hands to their chin thinking and pontificating about it. Yeah, and they go, Oh, and they go, Oh, and Socrates, Socrates has some thought there. He's he's he's he's looking quite strangely at the ball. Uh Nietzsche is discussing something with Dostoevsky, and and then he just goes off. The Greeks get the idea and they score this amazing goal. Yeah, and it's just it's just so bizarre, but brilliant, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you know, that's actually you know, and and forgive us for not publishing something for a few weeks, but life life got in the way for both of us. Um, but this is uh another beautiful and professional segue. How did we do that? Amazing, isn't that? It's amazing, right? Because we're amazing, okay. But anyway, um a beautiful segue into what we want to discuss, and we never know where it's gonna go, but what we want to discuss today,

The Oracle Of Delphi Explained

SPEAKER_00

because and I'll lead you into it, those kind of sketches. One could argue at that time, the humor was driven by mind-altering, mind-altering hallucinogenic substances, because some of the stuff they produced was just like, what on earth were they thinking? Yeah, you want to I've I've I've I've set you up here.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, well, the Oracle of Delphi was you know, sat over a uh a cavern where an hallucinogenic gas was coming up.

SPEAKER_00

Well, well, well, back up, girlfriend. Okay, the what? Because that the Oracle of Delphi. Do you know what the Oracle of Delphi is? Well, that's why I'm asking you to back up, girlfriend, because I don't want to presume or assume that our listeners, because I don't know what you're talking about.

SPEAKER_02

So the Oracle of Delphi was a female figure, um, a seer prophet, a seer into the future, and people used to go to her, and she was in uh an enclosed um place in the in the mountains of Delphi somewhere, and underneath she was sat on a massive sort of uh raised seat over a cavern of some sort, and she used to tell people the future, what was gonna happen to them. They'd go like an so you know in in um uh The Matrix, the Oracle, yes, yeah that's where it comes from. Yeah, yeah, that's where it comes from, the Oracle of Delphi, where they people would go and they'd ask, Look, uh, if I go to war, am I gonna win? Right? And so this um oracle was assumed connected to the you know a higher dimensional thought or the gods of goddesses, right? Which does segue into what we're talking about because I I was chatting to you uh or sent you a message and because you say let's do another doctors no more. Um and as you say, life is well let's get back on the saddle and back into the rhythm because we've yeah, exactly, you know, and uh and uh and I was thinking I I heard um something today that not so you know a few days ago, I think um RFK Jr. was uh announcing that um I think it's the CDC, isn't it? One of those. Um but it was the it was the Maha type movement, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

The Maha movement was was dedicated now to looking more into the positive effects of hallucinogenics to treat PTSD and mental health issues, you know.

SPEAKER_00

And this is a very controversial, very controversial subject, I think, and it's it's worthy of it.

SPEAKER_02

It's a highly controversial subject, yeah. And I mean uh I I think it's an ancient subject, like I was just saying, you know, you've got mind alterings and you know, you may maybe gases that were affecting this oracle's mind, but in a way where she could give um answers that were connected to a higher mind, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Breaking the veil, perhaps.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And I thought it was interesting, and I I mean, I've got my own thoughts about um uh hallucinogenics, and having experienced that myself in terms of my own self-healing, when I'm uh I went through a period of addiction, I did try things like that, and definitely they are very different to the other types of drugs that people take. The hallucinogenics do something very different, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I want to be, you know, the devil's advocate, or in this case, Delphi's advocate, um, perhaps. And uh that was the worst joke to work.

SPEAKER_02

Delphi's advocate. It sounds like a really bad sempties drink sempties like um after dinner drink, doesn't it?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Would you like a Delphi's advocate? With ice, please. I know you'd have one of those really crass sort of um adverts, wouldn't you? With um uh Reggie Perrin, what's his name?

SPEAKER_00

Um, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I know you're talking about. I can't think of it right now. Um yeah, I know. Anyway, as you as you swallow your um uh hydrating drink in the in the 36 degrees or 31 degrees that you experience at night, you know, I the Delphi's advocate, so I have always, and it might be because I was an athlete or or an arsehole or a blend of both, right? But I was always anti-street drugs, right? Until until about my mid to late 20s, where I sort of catastrophically left, you know, um uh that and went a different way. And you know, I I I got into grass, which I thought was fantastic. I thought it

First Trips And Fear Responses

SPEAKER_00

was the funniest thing that ever happened to me.

SPEAKER_02

Cutting grass? Cut cut in the grass?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, of course that's what I'm talking about. Lawnmower, right? Yeah, and um, you know, for for me, it was very there was positive aspects, it opened my mind. I was around people having some amazing conversations, including some really stupid ones, which I've mentioned in some of the other episodes, where I was convinced with my friend one day, having mown a lot of grass, if you understand, that the cows knew everything. And and we just, you know, that stupidity. And I only did hallucinogenics a couple of times, and it scared the bejesus out of me, as I think it should anybody. And um, it was mushrooms, actually. And I was at this party full of very odd people, and there was a poster with a um cat, I think it was at the front, and then a dog, and then a chimpanzee or something like that, like you know, one behind each other. And you know, the chimpanzee started winking at me, right? You know, and I was like, and I thought that was funny, right? And and then I went outside to have a pee in the garden because there just wasn't enough room in the toilets. You remember the little shop of horrors? You remember that movie, yeah, you know, and that plant that eats people.

SPEAKER_02

I would do it's a dentist in there, isn't it?

SPEAKER_00

That's right, okay, of course. So the the plants started to act like that, and they were trying to, you know, bite my willy off. And I was yeah, absolutely terrified. That's that's my extent of it, and that was all I wanted, to be honest, because it terrified me. And so anyone that has, you know, and I'm glad you're so honest, has dabbled deeper. Before we even get on to potential medicinal, I've always wondered. It's uh I think it's a vi myself, I think it is potentially extremely dangerous. I'm not sure whether it's chemical, uh, what you're seeing, or whether you are piercing the veil. And if it's a bit of both, should you even pierce the veil and see that in this realm? That's what I wanted to set up.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I you've you've touched on something very important about uh uh any sort of form of uh hallucinogenic. And um

Therapy Claims And The Unconscious

SPEAKER_02

you mentioned fear, right? If you if if you have hidden fear, it it will definitely raise that up from your unconscious. You say definitely, that's a big statement. More I I would say if you if you're looking at it when it's a therapeutic um uh when it's a therapeutic dose of some sort, you you will have some fears that will come up, I'm sure. Right. I don't think it's a hundred percent, but most of the people I've experienced who you know they they have a period, especially at the beginning, where there's fears start to rise up, and I always see that as it's there's an access to the unconscious mind opening up, and the unconscious contains a lot of memory, a lot of ideas, a lot of a lot of fears, and a lot of good things as well, right? Um I think the difference with the the um hallucinogenics is that they they link you to your higher self a lot more, right? So this is this is why I think they work for some people, and I I am I'm I'm of the mind that it probably has a place, right? But there's always a risk of misusing stuff and being hooked on that as the answer to your problem, right? Because ultimately you you know if you take let's say a mushroom and you you eat it, and what's in that mushroom is a chemical, right? And it's making an alteration to your uh biochemistry, your brain, the functioning of it, physiology, and then if you go further, the the energy side of you, if it's affecting your energy field and your energy centers that connects you to consciousness, that's only happening through you. So you must have those things within you to change. If you didn't, it wouldn't work, right? So all it is is a key of some sort to connect you to something that's already there. Now I I would argue that you know you can reach those states of healing and transformation but by using energy work alone without you know, which is more controlled, right? And when people when I say more controlled, I don't mean a fearful way, but the issue with sometimes when you have uh hallucinogenic is you get these great insights and people go, Oh my god, yeah, I've been an arsehole of all my life, I need to change, right? I told you that in private, yeah. I know. But then they come back to this this realm, this reality, and that yeah, that shift in consciousness has no real foundation rather than if you work towards it slowly and you know do um be more conscious about why are you an arsehole, right? People say so people say, Oh, I'm an arsehole, right? And they go, Okay, well, rather than pushing you away, what why would they say that? Why what is it about me? Is there something in me? But people don't want to go into that too much. So, what a hallucinogenic does, it takes away that mind control bit of making the decision, so it bypasses it, and it goes directly to that place that needs to change, right?

SPEAKER_00

Well, this is this is interesting, and I I didn't actually want to get here so early on, but we are here because we brought the arsehole bit. And because I I wanted to talk about the negative sides first, but this is the way it's gonna go, so I might as

A Near Suicide Stopped By Mushrooms

SPEAKER_00

well introduce it. So there's a there's a very good excuse me, there's a very good um interview or podcast done by Phil Escott. I'm gonna clear my throat excuse me. By Phil Escott, where he interviewed uh Bobby Risto, who's uh I'm just gonna say Bobby Risto continues to be a very interesting character. Um he's gone from Buddhist to vegan to carnivore to kickboxer to Christian, and he's now Muslim. He's a very interesting character, that's how I'll leave it. But at the time of, and you should go and look up that interview with with Phil Escott and Bobby Risto. At that time, um, he'd gone carnivore, and he tells a very interesting story. And when I listened to it, I was I saw things differently uh to what perhaps they were in the conversation. And uh he was very honest, he's he he's German, I think. He was very honest, and he said there was a time, so I don't think I'm misquoting him, there was a time where he was the worst the worst man he could be. He was a drug dealer, he he was not a nice man, and he would use women in the most horrid ways and use them for sex, usually drug fueled. And actually, within one of those um episodes where he was probably fueled by cocaine, so very aggressive, um, you can't call it love making, but sex, he slipped out and then went back in and broke his penis, which every man listening now is gonna go, but you can break your penis. So extremely painful. And he goes on to tell the story that he was a very bad man and he was he got very ill along with the broken penis, excuse me, of uh I think his legs uh were very swollen and painful, and no doctor could help him. And I would argue if I'd spoken to him that actually the doctors had done the opposite of helping him and probably made it worse. But he was obviously very toxic. And he'd come to the point, he was very literal, just a German literal thinking, he'd come to the point where he went, okay, the logical thing is to kill myself. This this is not going anywhere, it's too horrible. Life's horrid. So he was standing on a bridge ready to jump himself onto a very painful death, because he felt that made sins, excuse me, and his phone rang. And he answered the call. And his and his apparently he had friends, which I find extraordinary, but he had friends, and his he said, Oh, I'm about to kill myself, very literally. And his mate went, Okay, fair enough. But uh listen, you've done every drug but mushrooms. Why don't you come around my house, do an insane amount of mushrooms, and kill yourself tomorrow? So very logically was this conversation, bizarre as it may sound. And so he went, Yeah, okay, that makes sense. And I'll do that, right? So he went around to his mate's house and he did what would be considered a lethal dose of magic mushrooms. Um and he went, and this is the point I'm getting to, he went through, and I've heard this described by several clients that have done something similar. He went through hell. And what and what appeared at the time, it was actually 24 hours, but it appeared at the time to be um eternity. And you know, uh I can't remember if it's the client that spoke to me or Bobby Ristos, but essentially, I think it was Bobby Ristos, but I might get this part wrong. But they were the same elements. He kept dying and being reborn and dying and reborn, and I think he was being eaten by giant spiders. Uh but that might be my client, I can't remember. But it was painful, horrid, slow death, and then reborn and and repeat, repeat, repeat. So it was a nightmare. Hell. And and as anyone has done lucigenics, it was more real than real, let's put it that way. And it seemed like an eternity, but it was actually 24 hours, and then suddenly, bam, came out of it, and two things the the light and every colour, everything was intensely beautiful. And he real the second point was he realized his words the old Bobby Risto had died, and the new Bobby Risto had been born, so sort of Christian born again. And from then on, he's as far as I know, continued to be, you know, a different, a completely different man, only trying to do good. And it was at that point, listening to it, that I thought, hmm. German new medicine. And so German New Medic describes that if you've had trauma, of course, he had lots of trauma, most of it that he created, maybe. If you have trauma unresolved, it gets trapped in the brain, and a and a calcification of sorts is is able to be found in the brain. And if that's not resolved, whatever part of the brain that that calcification or trauma was registered in will manifest somewhere in the body, depending on where the brain controls, or or the what German new medicine describes as the germs of the three germ cells, and it will manifest as either destruction of tissue or growth of tissue. And as far as Dr. Hammer, who discovered German new medicine, is that's all there is. Two diseases, destruction of tissue, growth of tissue, right? And that he he set his case forward. So I was listening to this, I was thinking, oh my God, this is German new medicine, but the the remedy, oh, I forgot to add, oh my god, how stupid I'm when he woke up and he'd be reborn. This is a very important point. Sorry, listeners, all his ailments had vanished. His penis was mended, his legs were no longer swollen, everything had gone, completely healed, right? Very important. Hence the German new medicine. And so what I what I realized was that the drugs he'd taken, albeit meant to be lethal and he didn't die, had actually seemed, in my mind, accelerated the process that German new medicine tries to take you through to resolve those traumas. You get a healing crisis and then you get the healing, right? So I thought maybe microdosing would be very effective for those where counseling or German new medicine or therapy just ain't cutting the mustard. And certainly I've used it with someone who was an alcoholic, and they'd use the microdosing, and it was it was miraculous for them. So I think there's That's what I kind of can't believe I nearly forgot the key bit that these broken willy

Trauma Resolution And Microdosing Questions

SPEAKER_00

healed and his legs healed in 24 hours. So what say you on that story?

SPEAKER_02

Well, you when you're talking about that, what what comes to mind is you know, this is not new. This is it, this is ancient wisdom. So you talk about um magic mushrooms. Um I mean, I grew up in Wales, and that's one of the things you did when you were old enough was go and find them and take them, you know, and stare you but stare at you. You ought to be the naughtyest part of the English Isles, and and stare, you know, stare at um at trees throws and yeah, yeah, and commune with nature basically, right? So uh if you you know those see to me, I I from a from an energy worker's point of view, everything has an energy that creates it, right? So nature has those nature spirits behind it. You call them elves, fairies, nature spirits, whatever you want to call them, gnomes, all those elemental energies that create which definitely exist.

SPEAKER_00

The evidence just mounts and mounts and mounts in the in our time.

SPEAKER_02

So when you take something, you're taking an aspect, uh, a witness of that energy as such, right? So you take a mushroom, you're you're taking something, but it's connecting you deeply to that conscious energy of the elementals. Now, elemental energy, earth, air, fire, water, ether, if you're in Chinese medicine, metal and uh and and wood, right? Those elemental energies is are the foundations of your physical body, your emotions, some of your thoughts, you know, and it's if those foundational energies aren't in balance, and you you're trying to connect to something more spiritual, it doesn't really heal, you don't really heal, right? So, my idea is that you take a mushroom like that, it connects you to fundamental energies, and whatever the fundamental energies are, they are so true to the the the actual way things are in terms of nature, natural law, natural vibration, harmony. If you have disharmonious energies within your physical body or your energy field, it's gonna try and shift them. And I think that's what sometimes people experience when they go through hell, right? So the stuff that they hold within that's blocking that is their own demons, their own shadows, right? And what happens is this force comes in and forces that out, replaces it, and then you you you shift in alignment into something more harmonic with a with a universal energy. So you could move into

Nature Spirits And Extracted Psilocybin

SPEAKER_02

a healing place. Now you're talking about microdosing. I think that my concern with you know what they announced in America, the the research side of things, are they gonna take a mushroom, then extract it, right? They'll extract it from the actual natural source, and then they'll they'll mass produce it's like the weaver mectin, right?

SPEAKER_00

Well, the silly silly sidebin, isn't it? Is that right? That's not some bloke down the pub, oh that's fucking silly sidebin over there. Yeah, don't go nowhere.

SPEAKER_02

But then that what we'll do, you know, it it removes it from the the natural source of it, it disconnects it from nature. I agree 100%. So you might get some improvement, but it's different. So if you if you think about and you talk about death, right? He felt like he died.

SPEAKER_00

That's you know, if you look at all ancient cultures, I I don't think he even would accept that as felt. I yeah, he he communicated he did die and reborn, die and reborn.

SPEAKER_02

You know, yeah, but that's that's in all philosophies, right? Yeah, death, re you know, rebirth, life, death, rebirth, all that cycle that's the natural cycle of things, right? Everything has to live, die, and be reborn. And I think that our indigenous and ancient ancestors were very aware of that, right? But did they did they overuse it? I don't think they did. They probably used it at specific times of the year, you know, like an equinox, a solstice, uh a sacred time of the year. They might use it for an initiation type thing for you know for um men and women, they might use it as a group, you know, community thing, but I don't think they would do it every weekend, right?

SPEAKER_00

Well, here's the thing. And we have um someone that we both know, but for this conversation and to protect privacy, we'll call him John, right?

Ayahuasca Done The Traditional Way

SPEAKER_00

Yeah but but but John used to do have a real problem with you know what is commonly called on the street as Charlie. Yeah, right, and and and and he knew he needed to to remedy that. And he tried everything and failed. And um he went to um uh the Amazon, uh to South America and Brazil and to the Amazon, where the where a uh Amazonian tribe travels in, three days travel in to a place that had been set up for them, where they properly conducted um the ayahuasca ceremony with with their um uh tribal doctors that were called pages. And to become a page, you had to be at least a year on your own in the Amazon, some were up to five years, until the um they would describe it as until the plants started to talk or communicate with them. And this is very relevant that because you know, in Los Angeles, everyone and his dogs become a shaman. And I and I I really think the process, and uh what I'm trying to link to is the old ways are the ways, and they're coming back. But anyway, so he went through this properly conducted prop um uh process, and that included, and this is quite important, you know, a week of cleansing, because I think people that take these luthenic drugs are very, very toxic at many levels, including spiritually and energetic. And so the chances are they're going to have what they would be called a bad trip, you know. But anyhow, he he went through that and and he went through the um ayahuasca process, and the the Amazonians say that the ayahuasca is the mother of um the uh plant medicine. So it's very nurturing, creates a very safe space um for the spirits or whatever to come in and do what they need to do or show you what they need to show. And the parges are there to to sort of guide it and help it through. And indeed, that was a successful process for this chap that we'll call John, because he was completely free and clear of it afterwards. Now, he then went on to get to know them very well, and he actually went into the Amazon with them and did the you know even deeper processes, which included much, much deeper cleanses, all the way up to licking this highly toxic frog, which makes no sense to me, where you you think you're gonna die and you purge and purge and purge, and then you have some deeper clarity, and it's all very, very interesting. Now, what what I was getting to, if that's not interesting enough as it is, they said in this part of the alleged hemisphere, um, it the equivalent to the mother is the mushrooms. And the reason is is because of their uh mycelial connection, they're they're you know, they stretch out and they're all connected and they're they're talking to each other, and so they're holding the knowledge and the history. Now, of course, cynics would go, oh, yeah, but no, I believe it to be very, very, very relevant because you know, if this process, and I'm still not comfortable with even microdosing, right? But if this process was brought back with that level of understanding and and a trajectory back to the old knowledge, right? And cleansing for because if you think about it, Gareth, right? Anyone doing drugs, street drugs, hallucinogenics are may or may not be doing it to get insight, but most of them are doing it to get out of their head and have a good time, right?

SPEAKER_02

Those that even perceive self-medication, really.

SPEAKER_00

Right, and and to get out of this toxic realm, right? But those that those that are maybe trying to pierce the veil and get more knowledge, those are the ones that need to be more insightful to what's come before them, the old ways, and certainly cleanse. You know, I've I you know when I was younger and got to know you guys and you know the lovely Nina and and all that crowd were coming to see me, you know,

Bad Shamans And Integration Back Home

SPEAKER_00

most of them had some very, very bad health problems and very bad experiences.

SPEAKER_02

You know, yeah, well it's like it's like anything, isn't it? It's like if you if you're if you're um you're either um using something or being part of a ceremony in a way that's respectful, or you're just abusing something, right? There's a bit there's a big difference. You set that energy up before you go into it. I mean, I I yeah, just to come back to you know ayahuasca. I mean, I they're the positive uh experiences that you're mentioning. There are some bad experiences I've heard. Sure. You know, where people have gone out and the the people who are um making the uh um or extracting the ayahuasca aren't really truly shamanic, but they they're just cashing in on things, and people go missing, right? People go missing and they get lost in the jungle. They probably you know some people die maybe of heart attacks, I don't know, right? But I there are some negative so you know it's like I suppose that means that that spiritual knowledge associated with it needs to be taken very seriously, and it's like anything. You're talking, you're talking, and I thought about well, those true shamanic people, they they don't choose to do it, it's just a lineage, right? Yeah, so the child gets born into the family, and they they know quite early on, oh that's that's the next uh shaman or doctor, right? It's lineage and it's passed down, and that's another aspect is uh where I you know I think it has its place, but it doesn't, I don't a hundred percent comfortable with it, because there are questions which I I like to you know ask about it, and one of them is you go to South America to take a uh a plant medicine that's uh indigenously linked to South America and that consciousness, right? So the the native people there, their consciousness is evolved within that sphere. A Westerner's mind is very different, yeah. And you may get benefits from it, but then when you've had that awakening, how do you then reintegrate into the Western mind in a healthy way? And I think people have difficulty with that. They go away, they get an insight, they come back, they they want to, you know, change their life, and then they realize you know the the Western world is a very difficult place to live in. Yeah, you know, and I wonder whether it's like the you know the they were talking about um in America, this new bill that they're signing. You know, it's for people who have PTSD after war, right? Well what the other side of of thinking about it is well, don't create wars, the the fuck people up. Yeah, you know, don't don't create the situation in the first place. Rather than creating these, you know, casualties of war, you need to take a mind-altering substance to get well, don't f people up in the first place.

SPEAKER_00

Don't my understanding is they they take a lot of drugs when being in combat.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because they it's a horrible thing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, you know, how do you live with all that? You could I mean there's so many people who are living on the street in the UK as well.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, I've I've I've worked with some of them and met some of them ex-military that have seen combat, and I'm convinced, in spite of what they may or may not say, that they have been damaged. Yeah, yeah. Irreparable damage in this lifetime. You know, they can justify it, they can intellectually justify it, they can be trained, and I'm not judging it, I'm not, but it's damaged them.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and it's also, you know, you talk about the guy earlier, he's he was go he's gone from one thing to another. You know, um, from my own experience of addiction patterns, it's very easy to go from one addiction to another, and it doesn't have to be a drug. You can get addicted to a philosophy, a spirituality, a you know, or let's use a different word, um, obsessively attached in the mind to it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you know, I think obsessive is the right word.

SPEAKER_02

Obsessively attached to a mind, your your ego becomes obsessively attached to it because it's wanting to find something to shift the focus away from that pattern. But it's like ultimately, deep down, I suppose what everyone you know wants is to find some meaning. Why are we here? Why am I born? What am I meant to do? What is the point of being here? You know, is it just going out and earning a wage and and struggling and paying all my bills to you know to keep the machine happy? And I think we're that you know it's interesting that this at this point this is coming to light, you know, because people are looking for a way out of the machine, right? They are.

SPEAKER_00

I do honestly believe very, very good times are are knocking on our door, right? So we're we're probably the only animal that I'm aware of that seeks substances outside ourselves to suppress or heighten that. And and this is one of my problems with drugs, yeah, because yes, they will um alter your perception

Fasting As A Safer Altered State

SPEAKER_00

and your emotions, including alcohol, right? But you've got to come back to here. Right? And so, you know, not that I wanted to get into fasting, you know, or but but fasting has long been um presented as the spiritual way to get into the zone over artificial substances.

SPEAKER_02

Fasting is relevant. Because you if you do uh you know a shaman's quest, which is three days fasting without food and just water, you start to hallucinate. You you start to hallucinate.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well cynically, and I'm not being cynic because one of my emergency protocols for very, very ill people, which most can mortals can do, instead of the like 90-day fast that Russians recommend, is three days on, one day feasting, three days fasting, one day feasting, you know, and that can that can turn round very seriously or common.

SPEAKER_02

It's not just uh a shaman's quest, is is you know, you go out into nature, you mark out this is the way I I remember it, it was you know taught to me. You go out into nature, you mark out a square that's not too big, uh, and you have to remain within that square for three days. You can't move from it. So you you can't escape yourself, right? You don't eat, you just drink water, and it's not for the faint-hearted. So anything that you know needs to come out should come out in that period, and I think what happens with people is that when they start to detox and all the poisons that they they have within, both physical, mental, and emotional, start to emerge, and they that's uh an hallucination type thing, but after that they find clarity. So we're talking about you know a similar process, but it's like you're when you do a fast, you're in a way you're you're using your own natural um um physiological processes, whereas if you introduce something externally, yeah, you add in something to that. It's it's there's a difference to it.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But it's interesting, why you know, why do why do people what what are people looking for? They're trying to find themselves, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Well, well, as I say, I I after 30 plus years, they're looking for meaning, purpose, and peace.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

And really, if you really think about it, Jeremy, why is that not a given on this plane?

SPEAKER_00

Well, of course, as you well know, I do think about it, and we've discussed it um in great detail, uh, especially when we're in our favorite pub in London. Um, you know, re-retoxing. But, you know, this, you know, and I didn't want to go here, but it's always in the fabric of the doctors no more, um, is is deferring to the energetic plane. Something, which I believe is being defeated, entered this plane, this realm, and interfered. You know, maybe even fed off of the fear, which I think is probably correct, which is why I think Monsters Inc. is a documentary, not a kid's film. But so to feed off the fear energy, it had to create chaos and you know, um steer humanity away from its natural um evolution, shall we say, and interfere with it and create all these problems. And so where we're where we're at where we're at, I believe, is we got so far removed from our natural evolution or path, hence all the extreme crazy problems that we have uh uh have to endure currently, that there must be, by the nature of things, a correction back to the right way or be destroyed. And that's what I believe is happening. I do believe um common sense will become common again.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I I you just made me think about um you know the the balance between things because you know we think with movements like this, everyone talks about the oh, it's good for this, it's positive, it's positive. They never talk about the the negative side of things. And I remember growing up in Wales, you know, there's a few friends who had bad experiences, you know, as one one good friend who took mushrooms and the it messed them up completely once, right? Just once, and for the rest of their life, they they were they they had to take you know anti-sort of psychotic drugs. Yep. It was, you know, so people have to be careful that when you're dealing with stuff like that, a consciousness and energy planes. When you're linked forcing the way I see it is these drugs they open up energy centers that are linked into energy planes, the emotional energy plane and the mental energy plane, which people call the astral plane, which has some very beautiful energies in it and has some very difficult energies in it, right? You know when people say about a bad trip and you get some of that lower astral stuff, that's what that is. Now, if you get something that hooks into you and stays with you after that, that's not a good thing. And then who do you go to? Is your doctor who's just administered you a microdose be able to see it and deal with it? They're not going to be able to. Right?

SPEAKER_00

So I think it's suddenly coming to my sorry to interrupt you, but it's suddenly strongly coming to my mind that JFK, sorry, RFK Jr. I I think like Trump, they already know what they're going. When they ask a question, they already know the answer. I think RFK Jr.'s whole methodology is the critics want evidence-based medicine, which I always laugh at, and science, which I always laugh at. And so I think he is going to uh um and I only got made aware of this today, use that pathway to probably probably recognizing the amount of trauma, hence why I told the the film Bobby Risto story, you know, and I and I and again I don't like I still don't like it until I feel comfortable with psilocybin and mushrooms, but if it will expediate the level of trauma behind the scenes that we've all quote unquote awoke awake people have heard about the level of trauma that may have gone on to children and women

Astral Risks And Lasting Psychic Damage

SPEAKER_00

and others. But if if that is um proven and then put into a protocol that is you eat your you cleanse, you eat your natural human diet, you get put into common sense um spheres and truth spheres environments, I should say, and you use um low levels micro. There may be expediated healing for a lot of trauma people.

SPEAKER_02

You just touched on something, though. It's that it's that thing of a fix, isn't it? People want to take something and just be fixed.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that that that is a foundational lie implemented since the Flexner report. Yeah. That has to be it's part when I say common sense, that is without going into lots of deep, that's one of the things we have we are on track to restore, we are back to common sense, common ways, you know, and common philosophies, you know, um, and and you know, you're not sick, you're toxic, will become, you know, uh a foundation soon. Uh, you know, it's already on track, rather than you've caught something, you're ill, take the your bag of chemical. So yeah, all of that has to be if you're going to start using psilocybin or mushrooms as a potential microdosing medicine, if you're not cleansing them and seeing what shit they've taken on first, you're doing a disservice.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I mean, I also, I mean, from my experience, um I know that those substances, anything, anything that might alters the mind alters the energy field, right? And the memory of it stays in your energy field. And that that can sometimes leave a pleasant experience of of some uh enlightening thoughts or feelings, but it can also um not be a very practical thing for just getting on with life. So you know you be you see people they get they uh you know casualties of acid and things like that. Yeah. And they're you know, they're they're they're thinking, they're creating a life that's that's you know good for them or productive.

SPEAKER_00

And you know well, you've also hit on something really important on introduction. It's an illusion.

SPEAKER_02

A lot of it is illusory, you know.

SPEAKER_00

It is it is that uh you know, I am I am mostly, as are you, mostly, and you know, insanely happy without intoxication or drug taking, and and I and my you know, I could never be bored. So the danger is that oh I need this to feel more so.

SPEAKER_02

If it's something whereby you do something, take it, or do anything, and you come to the realization that actually I don't need that because I naturally have it within me, right? Or I can naturally achieve that by changing the way I think, feel, or behave, or anything. So, for example, right? You know what I was talking about starting beekeeping, right? Oh, I love it. I I had this moment a few weeks ago. I opened the hive and the bees were completely still, right? Like it was like this moment where I just looked at them and I could feel that energy of stillness, and they weren't flying around trying to sting me, they were content, they were in tune with everything, right? And I thought, wow, that's and I think that's sometimes what we're missing out on is we were and still are somewhere highly sensitive beings, we are beings of light and energy that are highly sensitive, but we've been taught how to switch it off.

SPEAKER_00

Right? Well, you literally got a buzz from that hiver. I did, you did. I mean, I'm not I'm not trying to do one of my just classic crap jokes, right? You know, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It was just like, and I it was like um you you get those moments, don't you, of miraculous sort of awareness. You get those when you take a mind-altered thing, but you've not in your mind to remember it, you know? It comes and it goes, and then you go, Oh, I had some way out thoughts, and I feel like the but yeah, but if you can be in a space where you you actually become aware of the miraculous side of nature and its beauty and its amazing patterns of energy. If you you people are naturally like that if they allow themselves to be like that, but we've been made to fear nature, be separate from it, you know. Like now, yeah, like now, oh extreme heat, warnings. Don't go out, don't travel, don't do this, be scared of of you know, nature, extreme cold. Don't go out, don't yeah, fine. I mean, you know, if you're going out in something, the sun for too long, it's really hot, cover yourself up, right? Or take the shade, have a cold drink, or or whatever. But it's this idea of separating us from nature. And I think what happens is people get these little insights when they take stuff like that of their true connection to nature, and that's how it should be. But you can do that naturally.

SPEAKER_00

But here's the thing, right? So when I said about the Great Correction, you know, the industrialized revolution, industrial revolution, and and leading into technology technological revolution, and the people are living in cities, you know, and as well, I'm saying, get your ass outside. The moment you start getting into where there is nature, trees, sea, space, you know, no posters, no buildings, no, you know, things change. And and you you and your bees is a wonderful story because you start to uh recognize how slow the pace of nature is. And so to be in nature means by default, by the way, segue to that, that's why the forest therapy, which was introduced when all these Japanese businessmen were hanging themselves in this forest park, right, was to get them out of there and just be in nature. And it's been extremely successful, I'm not saying 100%, at stopping suicides, because you're forced to be uh absorbing the the electrons, the the negative charge electrons, the resonance, the fractals, which is repeating colours and patterns in nature, all these things is what your body was designed to resonate in. And so, by the mere fact of being what you say in nature, let alone round something that has its own harmonics, is true therapy and where we must get back to. Right?

Nature Therapy, Subtraction, And The Closer

SPEAKER_00

And so, look, as we come to close on on this podcast, and I and I and I think this can deserve part two.

SPEAKER_02

It could, yeah. I I I feel like that.

SPEAKER_00

I really, I really do, you know, because you know, whether this is what I was saying, you know, the the premise of my entire work is uh that I've come to realize is subtraction method, right? And I'm about I'm about to launch, you know, sort of rebrand my work into the listen method, which is a acronym listen, because you know, most of my working life I've said listen to your body. And that's more than just, you know, it's it's you know, you can be in a room and know someone's had an argument or feel very uncomfortable. That's listening to your body. You can be around a beehive and that's listening to your body. You're in that resonance, right? And so, you know, the subtraction method is not just with taking away something that isn't even can be described as food, it's taking away as much noise as possible and replacing it. You know, I've said many, many times the the bird song is for Natalie now, and she's feeding them like my mother used to do. And we're going through, you know, I almost need a mortgage for the bird food that we're that that he's buying, right? Because because they talk birds, and now it's not just one or two birds, it's friggin' the neighborhood of birds that are coming around a house. But anyway, I love it.

SPEAKER_02

Do you have a favourite bird?

SPEAKER_00

Not well, I I'd like to say Natalie, but I'll get in trouble, right? But no, not currently. Eagles. Minor eagles. Is it eagles? No, I I don't. I mean, uh hummingbirds, I've seen hummingbirds up close, and that was another story for another day, which involves bees as well. But well, anyway, as we come to close, and I want to hand it to you, and then I I've got a wonderful closer, I think. But you know, I I really do think using drugs or mind-altering substances is has potential benefit with also potential risks, but it shouldn't be entertained before you start subtracting noise. That's what I'm gonna say.

SPEAKER_02

Can I can I be slightly controversial to finish? Of course you can. I do have a closer though, but go. So you know, if you look at the expansion of the drug industry.

SPEAKER_00

Pharmaceutical, you mean?

SPEAKER_02

No, illegal, illicit drugs.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, it's a street drug industry, yeah, which is huge.

SPEAKER_02

It's been driven very much by the CIA. Yeah, right. For sure, hundred percent. And all uh and most intelligence agencies around the world. Now, yeah, maybe I could be like a a conspiracy theorist of some sort just for a little while.

SPEAKER_00

Who the hell do you think is listening to us, Gareth? Speak openly, wise Welshman.

SPEAKER_02

Now let's say that those powers that ought not be had knowledge that the consciousness of humanity was gonna naturally expand, right? Around this time from the 1900s up, when all those wonderful people like Steiner, Bach, all those wonderful forerunners of spirituality and ideas and natural health. Yeah, yeah. And then these organizers said, Oh, we can't have that that expansion naturally. What do we introduce into the mind of people? Yeah. To shift it in different areas, and I, you know, there's an aspect of me things like that that it's it's it's engineered to fuck with the evidence is over.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's why I say we've been so interfered with at every level. Yeah, I mean the life.

SPEAKER_02

And I've experienced having then you know restructured my energy so that my consciousness has come back in to what it should be, right? So I can talk from experience, uh you know.

SPEAKER_00

Well, thank you for this wonderful conversation, and I'm gonna, you know, I I do think we need to do a part two and explore this. Um, but I'm gonna thank you forever and always for your experience and wisdom. And I'm going to close with letting the people know that for me, Gareth is my magic mushroom and what I take to enhance my knowledge and spirituality. And do you want to know why, Gareth?

SPEAKER_02

Um, go on. Is it because I'm a fun guy?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you're a really fun guy. There's no more. Signing off, and I think that's a good thing.
