Episode 13: Training for the Body You Need at 60 with Naz Demirtas
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if strength training had nothing to do with getting smaller and everything to do with living better.
In this episode, I’m joined by Naz Demirtas, certified strength coach and sports nutrition and health coach, to talk about what changes when women stop training for aesthetics and start training for capability.
Naz shares how pregnancy became the turning point that shifted her from dieting and control into deep respect for what the female body can do, and why she now teaches women to build the kind of strength that protects their independence later in life.
We unpack muscle loss after 30, why women often under eat protein without realising it, how blood sugar and stress can amplify cravings, and why restriction so often backfires into bingeing or emotional eating.
This is a grounded conversation about training, nourishment, nervous system load, and what it looks like to build a body you can trust, not punish.
