We're Not Experts
We’re Not Experts is a podcast hosted by two guys who’ve somehow survived 15+ years of friendship and now think that qualifies them to talk into microphones. We’re average early 30’s dudes with very strong opinions and very average credentials—which is exactly the point.
We’re sports ethicists in the loosest sense of the term, breaking down the morals, madness, and mayhem of a wide variety of sports… but let’s be honest: football will absolutely hijack the conversation. We can talk about other sports. We just won’t stop talking about football.
Expect passionate debates, hot takes that cool off immediately, arguments that go nowhere, and the occasional moment of clarity that surprises everyone—including them. Stats may appear. Logic might leave the room. Confidence will always be high.
We’re not analysts. We’re not insiders. We’re definitely not experts.
We’re just two longtime friends talking sports the way most people do—too confidently, for too long, and with absolutely no credentials to back it up.
We’re Not Experts — and neither are you, so you’ll fit right in.

Ranking QBs & Calling Out WR2s
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
ESPN's annual QB rankings from NFL coaches, executives, and scouts are out, and we break down the biggest surprises. We also debate Stefon Diggs clam that he's better then every WR2 in the NFL, discuss the latest on the Brandon Aiyuk saga, and hit a few more NFL headlines along the way.
Back in the cave, episode 30. The Steph Curry episode. We're gonna take some shots today. But as always, the takes are gonna be hot. The predictions are probably gonna be wrong. We're gonna make sense out of it, okay? We at least believe in the take. This isn't a skip bailess type of thing. Or this isn't a hey, hey LeBron, we're good. Oh my god. Ben Simmons is here.
SPEAKER_00Colin Calherd said some of the dumbest shit I've ever read in my life.
SPEAKER_01I like Colin Calherd, though.
SPEAKER_00You do?
SPEAKER_01I do like Colin Cowhurd. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00He said, I no longer trust in Lamar Jackson in a big spot. I'm selling my stock. That's fair. I'd take Bo Knicks in the fourth quarter. It's fair though. Come from behind situation over Lamar. That's crazy. Has Lamar ever come back from a thousand? Do you remember? I'm just letting you know that last year at the end of the season, Lamar literally made a comeback and they lost not because of him.
SPEAKER_01So they make the playoffs.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but it wasn't because of him. It wasn't his fault. He did his part. He did his job.
SPEAKER_01The best abilities availability, my friend. He did his job. Anyways, we got a good show on board today. We're going to lead it off. Things are going to get contentious kind of early. The NFL or ESPN yesterday released an article that they had polled, I think it's it's at least 70 like scouts, GMs, coaches, etc., ranking the top 10 quarterbacks. And you know it gets kind of interesting. Do you want me to go 10 to 1 or do you want me to go 1 to 10?
SPEAKER_00Because you haven't seen this list yet, right? I'm I'm looking at it right now. Okay. I before we start, first off, this lets me know that I could absolutely be an executive or a GM in the NFL. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's an insane list, a scout. It's kind of insane.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I could definitely. I could do it whichever way you can. So going from 10 to 1.
SPEAKER_0110 to 1, number 10 is Caleb Williams. 9 is Jerry Goff. I'm sure you felt vindicated with the Caleb Williams. Yeah, I mean, well, that's my that's my MVP pick, so he's a little low for me. I'd like to see him in the three to one range. So Goff's at nine. Drake May is at eight. Justin Herbert's at seven. This is probably the shocking most one. The most one for me is Dak at six. Lamar Jackson at five. Joe Burroughs at four. Matthew Stafford's at three. Pat Mahomes is two. And Josh Allen is number one. How do you feel about this list?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So to me, it actually, I don't have a ton of qualms with it. I uh maybe put Dak a little lower.
SPEAKER_01I think Dak's a lot lower. I mean Dak's outside of the top ten for me. And like I like Dak Prescott, but to say he's right behind Lamar Jackson and above Justin Herbert, Jared Goff, and that's even like over some people that aren't outside of him. I don't know how you feel about Sam Darnold, Jalen Hurts, Trevor Lawrence, I wouldn't put Brock Purdy, Baker Mayfield. You don't like any of them over Dak? Maybe Brock. That's kind of surprising, actually, because you're a big Jalen Hurts guy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't but he's not a better quarterback. He doesn't play the position of quarterback better than Dak Prescott. I mean, based off of like if we're just going statistically off of numbers, even I test. When Dak's healthy, he'd be Slim World. In the regular season. Yeah. That's I mean, what are we talking about? That's fine. If we were talking Super Bowls, Josh Allen wouldn't be number one. Well, that is true. Jalen Hurts would be in the top five. Like Pat Mahomes would be number one by my own. Yeah. Yeah. Stafford. So we're clearly not talking about when Matt Stafford would be number two.
SPEAKER_01Which I mean, I'm not a Hurts guy, anyways. I I do think that like I'm taking Justin Herbert over Dak. Yeah, I could see that.
SPEAKER_00He's definitely got better physical traits than Dak. Look, I'm I'm I'm a fan of Justin Herbert. I think he's got all the tools. He's a dog.
SPEAKER_01He's like, he's got all of the tools that check the boxes.
SPEAKER_00It just doesn't seem it doesn't I don't know what it is with the Chargers, but it just doesn't seem like it's all come together yet. Yeah. For whatever reason. Nothing. It hasn't all clicked at the same time when it needs to click. It's for the same, it's for the same things. You know, just winning. But Josh Allen being number one, fitting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, a lot of people are kind of upset, but I feel like if you take a look at it, if like I th I saw a thing yesterday, it had like both of their numbers since 2020, including the playoffs, like touchdowns, yards, interception radio, ratio, completion percentage, and they're both like up there. Like they're one or two in most of like the major cut categories since 2020. So, you know, I think if you take out the fact that Mahomes wins has won Super Bowls, and you focus in on the fact that since 2022, Patrick Mahomes has been like nowhere close to what he was before that. Right. You can really make the argument that it, I mean, it it should be Josh.
SPEAKER_00I uh I think it's kind of crazy to like if you look, it says their lowest ranking was was nine, was Patrick Mahomes had that.
SPEAKER_01Which is crazy, but I can see why some people would rank that. I mean, he's he's struggled outside of like the winning aspect of it. Yeah, which you I mean he didn't look great in them winning. Some people will still come out here and say, which he did have a great playoff run when they beat the when they won that Super Bowl against the 49ers. So like I mean that that was impressive. But outside of that playoff run, like their season, like I mean Patrick Mahomes hasn't had a great statistical season in what three, four years now?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's been a minute. He also hasn't had a great receiver. Yeah, that's fine.
SPEAKER_01That's fine and all, but I mean, you know Neither is Josh Allen. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so I get it. I uh do you you you feel good with Stafford at three?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean he I mean he's pressed off an MVP. It could arguably say that he could be, you could make a case that he's two. Like you could legitimately make a case that he's better than Patrick Mahomes right now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you could probably make the case that he was number one.
SPEAKER_01Nah, I'm not putting him over Josh Allen.
SPEAKER_00Josh Allen just goes super human. You know who the best quarterback on this list to me, and it's not any of the top three. It's number four. It's definitely Joe Burrow. You think Joe Burrow is the best? Man, he's the sickest. I mean, he just doesn't have like the best ability. He doesn't. He doesn't. And if he did, it would be clear that he was the sickest.
SPEAKER_01You kind of watch him, and he does look like he could be Tom Brady.
SPEAKER_00Brother. It is, dude. He is a dog. I love Joe Burrow. He is a junkyard dog. I to me, like if you were like, all right, who you're gonna start your franchise with, that would probably be the guy I would want to pick. I mean, considering his health, he wouldn't be the one that I would list. He just he just has the bravado.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it really goes to show like how good Joe Burrow is that like, I mean, we haven't seen him healthy except one year out of the last, what, like four? No, you got two. Yeah, that one year that they were terrible. Or the they had that one year where like they were like, this team makes the playoffs, they're gonna be lethal, and the defense gave up 40 points a game.
SPEAKER_00Well, they went well, they went AFC Championship and lost to the And that he hasn't been healthy since then.
SPEAKER_01But that's been what four years now?
SPEAKER_00No, he had that 55, what do you throw for 5,300 yards and like 40 touchdowns? Yeah, that was the year that was the year that they're that was the year that they didn't make the playoffs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that was like two years ago.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's like been the only year that he's been healthy out of the last like four or five.
SPEAKER_00And if he had been healthy, um those numbers would be eerily similar. Like they'd be similar up and down.
SPEAKER_01But to say that that's like the well, you look into what he done, you have to kind of take that into account.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I you know, it we'll just for the sake of argument, we'll just not put health into it because if that was the case, you wouldn't have Lamar at five. I think he should be at five at least. I Lamar's sick.
SPEAKER_01I feel like if we're not taking health into consideration and you look at that list, I'm not taking Stafford at three. Right. Like I don't I don't You would put Burrow there. I would put Burrow and Lamar over Stafford. Right.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I could agree with that. For sure. No doubt. I uh yeah, I would probably put Herbert above Dak. I would put Herbert above Dak. I would probably I'd put Goff over Dak. I'd probably put Drake May over Dak. I'd probably put Goff over Dak.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I would say Dak's probably closer to 10 than 6.
SPEAKER_00I would I probably would make an argument.
SPEAKER_01I mean I feel like a big part of Caleb's ranking is like what they're expecting him to be this year. I probably wouldn't put him over. I probably wouldn't put Caleb over Dak. Not yet. I mean he's only had like one really good year. He had a solid rookie year, all things considered.
SPEAKER_00But does uh I mean do you think that do you think that, you know, any of these honorable mentions, Sam Darnold, Jaden Daniels, Jordan Love, so I think Brock Purdy, Brock Dark.
SPEAKER_01I think Sam Darnold, like, you know, like honestly speaking, I mean, we're coming off of Sam Darnold having two really good years. He didn't have like the touchdown numbers last year in Seattle. Didn't need them. But but I would, I would honestly going into this year, I would take Sam Darnold over Dak too. I I would probably slide Darnold in and I would take Dak all the way out.
SPEAKER_00And put Darnold over him.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, now Jaden, he had one good year. Uh probably Caleb's my MVP, so so so I gotta I gotta keep Caleb in the top ten. Just because he's I project him to be the MVP this year. But but I mean, you know, like for me it's like it's one thing to say someone has like a pop-up and they have like a good year, especially when you look at the quarterback position. You know, like if you do have two really good years back to back, I'm gonna say that you're legit. It's like, okay, we need to see you do it again, and then he does it again.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01Now I can I can believe in Sam Darnold. Like going into the year, I believe in Sam Darnold. I also have Sam Darnold in both of my dynasty leagues.
SPEAKER_00I also, I mean, I believe in Sam Darnold, too. I uh he's a dog.
SPEAKER_01I wouldn't put Purdy over I'm taking Dak over Purdy. I feel like it's kind of a toss-up between T-Law and Dak. You like T-Law. I mean, so if you just look through T-Law's career outside of the sh his that the Urban Meyer rookie season, which I mean we don't, you know, put any stock in that anyways. And that moment when they were what, eight and three and collapsed and he played like shit when he was hurt. Right. If you take that out, like those two stretches, Trevor Lawrence's career's probably been a lot better than what you think it is. Like last year he had a career year. I hate Trevor Lawrence. I know you do. I hate Trevor Lawrence. But but the data says otherwise. The data says he should be at least fringe top ten quarterback. I mean, he was supposed to be the guy. I mean, he's kind of it's disappointing from a from a certain standpoint, but I mean, outside of that rookie year and that stretch where he was injured when they went from 8-3 to you know, terrible.
SPEAKER_00I think if he cut his hair, I'd be a bigger fan.
SPEAKER_01Oh, see you saw him put that cat the bald cap on and put the wig on, and then you're like I'm kind of a f fan of Trevor Lawrence.
SPEAKER_00I was like, damn, bro. Like Trevor Lawrence with a fade looks like he's got some juice, bro.
SPEAKER_01Do you just hate Trevor Lawrence because he plays in Jacksonville?
SPEAKER_00It's kind of the same reason I don't like George Kittle. Like their hair looks dirty. Except Trevor Lawrence's hair is actually like looks pretty good. Not mid-game, which look, look, I know, I understand.
SPEAKER_01It doesn't look good mid-game when they've been sweating in a hundred degree weather and getting hit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but like there's like you could, you could, you could fix that. Whose hair does look good? Like you could you could cover that up, especially George Kittle, bro.
SPEAKER_01But should he be like brushing it on the side? George Kittle looks like well, George Kittle looks like he doesn't touch his hair. Like he doesn't wash it, touch it. He like treats his hair like Mac Hollins treats his feet. Oh, Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_00Dude, you want to talk about some dirty ass? That is some fucking disgusting ass shit.
SPEAKER_01I don't wear shoes anywhere except at football.
SPEAKER_00I couldn't fucking imagine walking around barefoot. But he played in Buffalo forever. Like he was in Buffalo for what, three or four years? Yeah. Walking around with no shoes. You're a fucking psycho. Yeah. Yeah, I don't like that. He wouldn't be on my roster. No. He's absolutely cut. Bro, he's probably got some tough ass feet. Tough as fuck. This feet's tough as shit. He's got some tough ass feet.
SPEAKER_01Nah, brother. They're just one with nature, dog.
SPEAKER_00He uh oh, you would here you go. Also receiving votes was Bo Nick, Daniel Jones, and the most surprising of the bunch Daniel Jones. Is CJ Stroud.
SPEAKER_01I'm taking CJ over Daniel Jones. You are? Yeah. That's crazy. Yeah. I'm not a bro. Brother Daniel Jones had a good eight-game stretch, and that was the best ball he's played in his career. Hey. The year that they went to playoffs, he had like a 15 to 5 touchdown to interception ratio.
SPEAKER_00Don't worry, brother. He'll be back week one.
SPEAKER_01No, he's not.
SPEAKER_00Is he really coming back? He'll be back week one. All right. I don't know, man. He'll be back week one to show you what he can do.
SPEAKER_01He's gonna tear his Achilles again. Oh, that'd be devastating. No, that's what happened when you rush back, bro.
SPEAKER_00In football, the Achilles is still a two-year injury. Science is, dude, science, he's come a long way. You know, he went to probably Antigua and got some stem cells. That's not the place I'd want to go. It's where you gotta go, brother. Germany? Yeah, I guess you could go to Germany. I'd rather go to Europe. You can go to Mexico, Colombia.
SPEAKER_01We trust in any of those places. Have you ever seen the BBLs that come out of those places?
SPEAKER_00That's the are you trusting that with stem cells? They need to be going to Turkey, don't they? You come back, got a couple, got an extra chromosome. You know who else needs to go to Turkey? Brock Bowers. Oh man, golly, brother. You need to shave that shit.
SPEAKER_01Bro, but he's been like app since college.
SPEAKER_00Shave that shit, bro.
SPEAKER_01This shit looked like that as a freshman in college. Bro, let it go. Let it go. I've got a friend who's who's got a little Brock Bowers to him.
SPEAKER_00He uh my boy Stu, man. You uh Stu. You got any you got anything else to add to this top 10 list?
SPEAKER_01I mean, other than the fact that it's just wrong. I mean, it's not it's not it's not a terrible list. I don't like the rankings. Like I believe in Josh Allen and Pat Mahomes at two. I mean, I don't like Burrow being at four. Like the talent's absolutely there. The injury's not even I think even if healthy, I may prefer to have Lamar over him if they're both healthy, just from like the mobility aspect of it, like the dynamics of it. Like Lamar is just like a game breaker.
SPEAKER_00He is a game breaker.
SPEAKER_01I like I said, I'm slotting Dak out of the top ten. I think Goff's too low. Like I'm taking Goff over Drake May and Justin Herbert. Okay. Yeah, I don't know if you're not going to be able to do that. You know, obviously Caleb at 10's fine with me, honestly. I I could see an argument for putting Darnold in. I'm just glad Jordan Love's not in the top 10.
SPEAKER_00That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01You think Jordan Love's a top 10 quarterback?
SPEAKER_00No, I don't. I just, you know, I don't I don't really care about him.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. T Law, I feel like T Law and Jalen Hurts, you can make an argument for both of them. Even though I don't think I don't think Jalen Hurts is a top 10 quarterback. I like Trevor Lawrence. I kind of just went to bat for him, so I would probably, you know, if they've got him ranked as the 16th best quarterback, I feel like that's disrespectful.
SPEAKER_00I think Trevor Lawrence is probably better than he's probably better than Baker for sure.
SPEAKER_01I'm taking him over Baker. I'm taking him over Jalen Hurts. Taking him over Dak.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you could you could have an argument with Dak. I might take him over Dak too.
SPEAKER_01I mean, here's another one. Here's another one. And I don't know how you feel about this, but there's an argument that you can take Trevor Lawrence over Justin Herbert.
SPEAKER_00No. You don't think so? Absolutely not. Why? He's not as good as Justin Herbert.
SPEAKER_01But what if what have they done? What have they done? What has Justin Herbert done besides throw more yards?
SPEAKER_00What has Trevor Lawrence done? He won a playoff game. Congrats. For nothing. I mean, Justin Herbert hasn't done that. Yeah, but we're not. If we're talking about the playoffs, then it's Patty Mahomes and everyone else.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I mean, Pat, we're not talking- I'm I'm looking at it saying their talent level's the same. Justin Herbert's a better quarterback. I don't think so. Like he's a better quarterback.
SPEAKER_00But what do the statistics say?
SPEAKER_01That they're probably about the same. I wonder. Like, I'll just pull up Trevor Lawrence versus Justin Herbert. And but like, tell me a reason why. Like, you just say he thinks he's a better. Why? Their mobility's about the same. Trevor's mobile. Herbert's got some mobility to him. That's true. Herbert's probably got a stronger arm. I don't know if he's more accurate than T Law.
SPEAKER_00I think he's more willing to take risks.
SPEAKER_01That's not necessarily a good thing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I'd rather have somebody that's willing to do that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you know who else likes taking risk?
SPEAKER_00Jameis Winston. Yeah. Only guy in NFL history 30 for 30. 30 for 30. And you're impressed by that. I you there's something to taking a risk, though.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean Trevor C Trevor Lawrence is also undefeated against Herbert. 3-0. If you look at their career games, he's played. Their completion percentages are close. Yards per game. I mean, Herbert averages 30 more yards a game. Quarterback rate. I mean, I mean, yeah, Herbert's probably better than Trevor Lawrence.
SPEAKER_00It's just the eye test, too. Like I watched it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I think a lot of this goes in with like health scheme.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00You want to talk about a guy that's going to have a good year. I think Mike McDaniel's going to be.
SPEAKER_01He's in a good situation. I think Trevor Lawrence is going to have another good year.
SPEAKER_00Look, I'm a big fan of Liam Cohen, so I could see it. Du Vaughn. It was way dirtier than that. Du Vaugh. It was way worse than that, too. It was one of the worst introductory press conferences I've ever seen.
SPEAKER_01Hey, but look, and as much as everybody hated that, he turned up.
SPEAKER_00He's nice. He is. He's a good offensive mind. He's a great coach. It's the same thing we said in previous episode. He's out of that trick.
SPEAKER_01I think one thing that I feel like the last thing I really want to say about like the Justin Herbert thing is I I feel like Justin Herbert's been given the reins a little bit more than Trevor Lawrence.
SPEAKER_00Probably so. He's also in a more consistent situation, too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, Trevor Lawrence got handed fucking Urban Meyer, who was getting fucked, like going out to games and hooking up and cheating on his wife with bruh like 20-year-old women in a bar.
SPEAKER_00The ultimate dirtband.
SPEAKER_01With his wedding ring on. Come sit on my lap.
SPEAKER_00You remember that was in like a Cincinnati bar.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like fresh off a fresh off a game.
SPEAKER_00That's ridiculous. Yeah, dog.
SPEAKER_01It is ridiculous. Doing shit like that in the public eye is crazy.
SPEAKER_00You want to talk about Brandon Ayuk?
SPEAKER_01Yes, bro. Yes. Because we've we've been missing. Like, I don't know how we've gone, what, like three or four pods of him. I mean, he's he hasn't done anything illegal.
SPEAKER_00But he's only ruined his NFL.
SPEAKER_01He could be crash out of the year.
SPEAKER_00Dude, there's not much to say about it. To be really, like, there's really not much to say.
SPEAKER_01It's wild that people are a lot like, why are we not taking his phone?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that who his family or friends or whoever like is around him letting him do this.
SPEAKER_01You know something's you know something's wild when your quote unquote best friend is like, hey, nah, we're good, bro. Enjoy retirement.
SPEAKER_00I he yeah, he did. Can you blame him?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you don't want to be associated with that.
SPEAKER_00Right. Yeah, and at this point, it's like too far gone. It's way too far gone. It's over. Like I I did, like I picked him up in a dynasty league that we're in. Like, I like I was all in on Brandon Ayuk coming back.
SPEAKER_01Everybody's like that. And I'm sitting up here this whole time. I'm like, I literally told people way before all of this. Like, I knew his NFL career was over when he got paid. and then refuse to come back. Like he tore his ACL is like I'm out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but it wasn't like it wasn't just that.
SPEAKER_01The speeding thing, like driving down. Like what how weird is it? How weird is it to just be like videoing myself, like, oh, let me go 100 miles an hour past Levi Stadium for what?
SPEAKER_00Dude, childish. Makes no sense.
SPEAKER_01It's childish.
SPEAKER_00And then like the other day he posted a video and it was him like drump, I mean just hundreds of thousands of dollars in a bag and he's taking it out of the bag and throwing it on the ground.
SPEAKER_01He said y'all played him. He played himself. Bro all he had he's talking about how he finished San Fran out of like what 30 40 million dollars. Bro you could have had another 50 all you had to do was go fucking take a physical dude.
SPEAKER_00All you had to do was go to like report back to the team and you would have got your check and he's like I'm sure like his agent was like yo you you need to do these things and like if you don't do these things like you're gonna lose like I'm sure because like that's his money too right yeah no three like three or four percent of it is still I mean it's you know he's fucking with you like if you're the agent you're like dude this motherfucker's fucking with my money. Yeah not only that he's making it look bad what but and another where is his agent at during this yeah right I it really doesn't make any sense you could absolutely make this crash out of the year it to me not only like is his like he still had the talent yeah like I think that he still had well he didn't look great when he first came back.
SPEAKER_01That's fine though I don't know like they were saying that he like didn't do the rehab for the knee and so who knows he's got a little malik neighbor's knee to him still walking with a limp yeah speaking of that we need to talk about that later yeah he's he's not but yeah dude Brandon I you bro the like you know talking shit about Samfram was one thing where he like where like he absolutely ended it was where he's like getting on here like promoting tickets to commander's games and yeah he's he's like getting on live and putting the commander's hat on yeah like at this point like at this point bro you're just like bro they're gonna fuck around like even even if San Fran released them and the commanders wanted to they couldn't it'd be like immediate tampering yeah right he'd be like bro the man's been wearing a commander's hat since he's been a 49er yeah well I don't even know if it would be tampering like he would probably make a roster it needs to go to it in Z There's no way there's no fuck no fuck no he wouldn't make a roster look I honestly I'll go this far the Dolphins wouldn't give him a call bro there's a fucking better chance of Antonio Brown coming back to the NFL than fucking Brandon IU his shit is cooked he is cooked he's an idiot dude I couldn't imagine I couldn't imagine throwing that kind of money away I get up and I go to work at a job I hate every single day for far less I wouldn't give a fuck how much I hated the commanders what or the the 49ers what I thought about Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch for hundreds of millions of dollars I'm gonna shut the fuck up like yeah and like you had the opportunity to be the one bro you could have came back and just been terrible you got all that con bro let me get my guarantees and then I'll quit just make it seem like you give a fuck bro man bro bro got more money than I'll ever see in my life voided like it's tough bro I'll never I'll never in my life see the money that he lost just by saying fuck going back to look if anything the only thing I can respect Brandon Iukon is the fact that he stood on what he believed in enough to cost himself not only his career but guaranteed millions of dollars.
SPEAKER_00Yeah well at that point how much do you have to hate the team that you are signed to to where you're just like you know what 50 60 million fuck it at that point though like I mean at that point you it's kind of stupid yeah like you're just kind of cutting your like you would be better off you could have been demanding a trade participating right but you would have your family would have been better off everybody you know would have been better off you would have been better off you could have really not given a fuck yeah you were approaching having fuck you money yeah and I'm not a hundred percent sure you're smart enough to sit out here and invest your money into things that are gonna make you money I'm not even like seeing you take all this money out of a bag on live why do we have that much cash right what are we doing we just need like 20 racks just in case did you did you go to the bank and get all this cash out just to make this video no he probably doesn't believe in banks he uh he probably has it stuffed under the mattress he he definitely look he definitely you know he's he's gonna never play in the NFL again never but he'll have a lot of money hey we would like to have Brandon Iuk on this I wish that I could be an advisor to these guys yeah you know that's gotta be an easy job hey man why don't you just show up and shut the fuck up for just a few hours go sit in the training room for five six hours bro you don't even gotta play you don't even have to play good how about you just tell him you care you don't have to mean it just tell him you care man just put on a f put on a fake smile and they're like well you don't you don't act like you care and you're like nah man I'll just this knee it's really bothering me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah maybe the knee's just fucked up his mental health he's got CT I mean yeah obviously you can you can book that one yeah I just I wish you could I wish you could scan if you are an NFL team and you want to just throw away that kind of money if I was I won't crash out if I was the Dolphins I'd reach out to Brandon I'd I mean yeah because I mean even if it goes bad your season was always a lost cause to begin with so you'll probably be able to get the money back.
SPEAKER_00He'll probably crash out of some sort oh that's crazy bro Stefan Diggs said that he was he would be the best number two in the NFL he said there wasn't a number two wide receiver in the NFL better than he was thoughts yeah I mean obviously he's full of shit yeah okay it's but I don't like a lot of people are like like it's an easy assignment because like off the top of my mind I mean I mean you can literally just look at yeah T.
SPEAKER_01Higgins Devontae Adams George Pickens George Pickens or or CeeDee Lamb some people think George Pickens is wide receiver one in Dallas but okay fine yeah CeeDee Lamb's way better. Now uh Jamison Williams but after those four or five you can make a case that Diggs is right there. Sure.
SPEAKER_00Because there are some wide receiver ones that Stefan Diggs better than who Alec Pierce that's one wide receiver one whoever you want to call the wide receiver one in Miami. None of those guys count there's not a single Miami wide receiver that actually counts.
SPEAKER_01We all know that they're like wide receivers who else hasn't pissed poor here's another one Las Vegas Yeah he could probably be the wide receiver one there.
SPEAKER_00Alright then so when you start telling me that it That's two teams you name two teams you just disqualified and I don't even agree I don't even agree with no I mean you name two teams I don't count the Dolphins but you said that you said he's better than Alec Pierce. I don't agree with it but that's your opinion who had a better year last year it was close. No it wasn't it was probably in yards maybe yards is probably it probably touchdowns too pull him up how many touchdowns did Stephon Diggs have probably more than Alec Pierce how many touchdowns did he have how many did Alec Pierce have look that up you looking up Diggs?
SPEAKER_01Yeah okay but but you're telling me but when Diggs had a good year last year I uh Alec Pierce had 47 okay he had six touchdowns Alec Pierce did how many yards did a thousand and three for Alec Pierce how many do you think that uh Stephon Diggs more than a thousand a thousand what? More than three a thousand thirteen all right that's more he had more than 47 catches he did. Alright then he did he had 85 catches. Alright so he doubled his catches almost my thing is with it is it's not even like me dissing Alec Pierce. I just I just don't like my receivers that can only run downfield.
SPEAKER_00I don't think that that's all you'll see this year.
SPEAKER_01That's that's all I've seen to this point. I uh I can't sit over here and say this person's gonna do something that we haven't seen him do.
SPEAKER_00I uh see I'm a person that calls a shot I'm gonna call your shot it's a bad take I'm gonna call your shot kind of guy I would I would be willing to bet there's not an it'll be one of the worst mistakes in NFL history. What paying Alec Pierce and not making him the bona fide one there's no way you have a coach as good as they have and you're gonna sit over here and you're gonna pay this guy what 120 miles that good of a guy?
SPEAKER_01Yes Shane Steichen's a good coach you said that good of a coach as if he's like one of the elites he is a good coach they've won nothing. So that doesn't mean he's not a good coach he's been there how many years?
SPEAKER_00What three? Okay they've made no fucking playoff appearances who's been his quarterbacks it doesn't matter he signed off on fucking every one of them he warned Anthony Richardson yeah that's that's a bad take I wouldn't have said that I wouldn't have done that look I wouldn't I wouldn't I wouldn't have been bought out Phillip Rivers out of retirement at what 43 years old yeah but what they didn't have any other options what was it I guess they could have brought in what Taylor Heineke it's better than fucking what well I will say Phillip Rivers didn't look awful it's I mean he kind of did but he didn't look that bad you say that Taylor Heineke's better but it's like how much what a touchdown better but what is he gonna throw four more picks I don't know bro at least Phillip Rivers was like look I'm not gonna turn the only thing that I liked about Phillip Rivers is is like you know like they were he was like going up to the line and was like calling out the assignments and shit like that.
SPEAKER_01It made for a good story too it made for a good story.
SPEAKER_00Shane Steichen's a good coach I guess bro I it's the same way you would say Brian Dayball's a good coach no I don't I'm not I'd have never said Brian Dayball's a good coach.
SPEAKER_01I think Brian Dayball's a good coach he's a good offensive mind he's looked okay as an offensive mind but when I saw him as a head coach he had one good year. Shane Steichen he had one good year a good offensive they have had zero good years i he hasn't had a lot of talent to work with my God well Brian Dayball took took a worse roster to the playoffs yeah and beat the and I don't think Brian Dayball's a good coach in Minnesota and won a playoff game I don't think he's a great coach I didn't say great coach I said he's a good coach I don't think he's a good coach I don't think he's that well let me pronounce he might be a little slightly above average he's clearly a good offensive coach Shane Steichen's clearly good offensive coach it makes it look a lot fucking better when you have Jonathan Taylor who was a top five running back before Shane Steichen was a head coach.
SPEAKER_00What does that mean? Well who else has been good what is that who else has been good are you saying that he should get rid of Jonathan Taylor this shit.
SPEAKER_01I'm saying if you look at that fucking offense like that offense has not been good. They had eight games with Daniel Jones wow they were the best offense and it wasn't even fucking Daniel Jones's doing it was Jonathan Taylor going apeshit and then the moment he fucking stopped the offense fell apart.
SPEAKER_00No the moment literally the moment Daniel Jones got hurt.
SPEAKER_01That's no they were they were no when Jonathan Taylor stopped going off for 180 yards and three touchdowns a game that was before Daniel Jones got hurt I I would be willing to bet the Daniel Jones injury correlates with the wins losses. I I guess I mean yeah they had a good they played they had a really fucking you gave him a competent quarterback why do you like Daniel Jones?
SPEAKER_00I don't I don't love him I'm just he's competent you you like Daniel Jones he is a he is a he's had an he's had a year and a half of good football he is a top this is just how bad the quarterback is oh my god in the NFL he is a top 20 quarterback in the NFL I don't know I don't know I don't know if I can say that like there's not like when you get to like you could put him at 20 and there's not going to be 12 guys behind him that are better.
SPEAKER_01Okay so we have 17 on this list that are no question.
SPEAKER_00Yeah and then you have three more which would make your 20.
SPEAKER_01And I can give you three more that aren't on this list that I'm gonna take. Alright and it's gonna be funny. Alright I'm gonna give you one and I don't even believe in him Kyler Murray's better than Daniel Jones.
SPEAKER_00I mean there's an argument there what did he have one good year isn't that what you say he had one good year.
SPEAKER_01He had one good he had one good year he had one good year but he didn't have necessarily he got hurt last year he wasn't he wasn't he had one good year but he wasn't terrible like we've seen Daniel Jones be fucking awful the problem with Kyler Murray is he doesn't he's small he doesn't yeah well yeah he he is small but he doesn't give a fuck about football it's okay he does this isn't he does until Cod drops and then it's wraps you gotta give a fuck you gotta care somewhat I don't know bro I look here's another one we can throw your boy CJ Stroud I just said he was better than CJ Stroud's better than Dan Yeah I don't think so I I would have probably said it a year ago a 42 year old Aaron Rodgers fuck no right now yes fuck no Aaron Rodgers is still being isn't still an average quarterback fuck no so you thought Aaron Rodgers was bad last year I he can't throw the ball down look he touchdown interception ratio still nice he's cooked Aaron Rodgers is cooked and that's that's you see and here's the thing we have Daniel Jones he was cooked when he played for the Jets we're not talking I'm not saying that this is making Aaron Rodgers good though but he's better than Daniel Jones. He's not he is I wouldn't I wouldn't take Aaron Rodgers Kyler Murray we can we agree on Kyler Murray at least here's another I CJ Stroud I wouldn't take CJ Stroud that's fucking insane I wouldn't they both only have one good year. It's just if you look at every other year outside of CJ Stroud's rookie year it's still better than literally every year of Daniel Jones's career that he not only that Darren Daniel Jones is always fucking hurt he's torn his ACL what twice he has an Achilles injury now yeah yeah so here's an here you go here we go another good year one good year candidate BY Nan he's terrible he's better than fucking Daniel Jones I'm better than Bryce Young that's which would then mean that Daniel Jones is better than Bryce Young I fucking hate Bryce Young he's terrible I know you do and you like Daniel Jones. I do like Daniel yeah and instead of just saying that here I'm not about to go in I was I was about to get I was really about to piss you off but I'm not gonna do that. Tell me what your heart I don't believe it either I just wanted to argue for a sec. I was gonna say Malik Willis is better than Daniel Jones.
SPEAKER_00Bo Nick's Bo Nick wasn't on that list he's better than Daniel Jones yeah he was already above Daniel Jones but but but Bo Nick wasn't on that list. He was in the top 17 and was he? Yeah well I guess he would have been Tyler Shuck do you think Tyler Shuck's better? I guess he had a good eight games same thing as Daniel Jones so I like Tyler Shuck so I'm not I'm I would leave the door open it's just the problem with Tyler Shuck and Daniel Jones is I'm pretty sure they're the same age I look man did you know that Juwan Johnson and Tyler Shuck played on the same college football team that's insane I did not look Daniel Jones is decent.
SPEAKER_01Look he's about he's a look I look at Daniel Jones and this is serious it's gonna be funny as fuck but it's serious when I look at Daniel Jones he is the same quarterback as Geno Smith to me Gino Geno's had higher has had more success in his career than Daniel Jones has Gino has Gino ever been to the playoffs? Yeah did he did he go to the playoffs in Seattle in Seattle yeah they did yeah they won a game no no I didn't think so oh so you're gonna move the goalposts I was I was just wondering so so when we talked about that when we talked about that top 10 list you didn't want to include playoff success but when we're comparing fucking Geno Smith and and Daniel Jones now we want to say has has Geno Smith won a playoff game even though Daniel Jones was what six years ago?
SPEAKER_00It's tough for me because I also like Geno Smith and came out today that Geno Smith is innocent there will be no charges filed I gotta shout out shout out Geno Smith we knew we knew you were not a fucking dirt bag Super Bowl is still on still alive Super Bowl is still alive he didn't write him back yet again and look if Gino Smith takes the Jets to the Super Bowl he I'll he'll propel himself into the top 10 for me so you can cancel the top 20 so if you win this if you win the Super Bowl you're automatically top 10 going into next year if Geno won the Super Bowl with the Jets brother that's hey I mean talent on the offensive side you want to you want to talk hot take here's a hot take for you Geno Smith wins a Super Bowl with the Jets you can put him in the hall that's the equivalent of look hold on let me ask you this it's it's fitting since they're both New York what's more meaningful what's more impressive okay Jalen Brunson winning a shit for the Knicks or Geno winning for the Jets yeah I knew so I figured this is where you're going with this and I've said this I've been on record saying this that Jalen Brunson winning the the NBA finals with the Knicks was like winning three NBA finals. Yeah it's you know like I feel like it's that big of a deal if Geno Smith won a Super Bowl with the Jets it's like winning 15 Super Bowls all right like you can go ahead and propel him to the GOAT conversation. He just gets three handfuls of rings like here you go he would feed families for generations the Jets especially when you consider the longevity of their franchise too they're they're probably like the staple poverty franchise of the NFL right yeah that's fair the Browns too like the Browns just don't go back as far right the original Browns have had success because Baltimore won a Super Bowl yeah right I yeah probably so I mean there's definitely a big three when it comes to poverty franchises in the NFL it's definitely the Jets the Browns and the probably the Cardinals to me you could also throw the lines in there and yeah what is it I guess Dan Campbell's been with there what five years now?
SPEAKER_01Yeah I think so he had what the first year was bad yeah and after that they've been pretty successful yeah I mean I don't I remember the Cardinals making a Super Bowl that was what 2010 I think it was something like that 2011? Something like that yeah they should have won that Super Bowl that was a long time ago that was a great Super Bowl that was there was many generations yeah but like can you remember like the weirdest like even at the Jets outside of them winning that Super Bowl with was it Joe Nayman outside of that the best run in history was Mark Sanchez going nine and seven three straight years and somehow making the AFC championship incredible and Mark Sanchez tried to stab a guy he also butt fumbled and he's still beloved in New York yeah he's forever him and Rex Ryan are immortalized like I bet his JP is I bet he's got so much money on that motherfucker. Is he in jail still?
SPEAKER_00I don't know I haven't heard anything uh other than the fact that I can only assume you're a piece of shit if you try and stab him he was just on a hell of a concoction though he was fucked up yeah it's true and what indie why are you in Indianapolis to begin with I think it was for was it for the combine was the combat going on it was for something that was going on and he got fucked up he was on like Coke Alcohol, weed, and there was that's why they went nine and seven. They were turned.
SPEAKER_01Those defenses were insane.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I uh it's yeah. Good thing for the Jets though is they don't have to worry about Geno Smith winning them a Super Bowl. So yeah, you do have to, if you're a Jets fan, you listen to this pod, I'm sorry. But you do have Geno Smith to get you the number one overall pick. That's what he's that's truly what he's got, bro.
SPEAKER_01Bro, what if he has a resurgence? He won't. Look, bro, I'm just saying bring Rex Ryan back. The fact that Rex Ryan like got fired, like, did he he got another job after the Jets, right? Fuck, I don't remember. Why do I feel like he got hired somewhere like the car the was it the Bills?
SPEAKER_00He coached the Bills after the Jets. Maybe he didn't have Josh Allen, though. Nah. But I feel like that's a thing. Maybe, but it doesn't matter. Yeah. He was too in defeat. He didn't care.
SPEAKER_01But why didn't he get another like why hasn't he like when you've seen some of the coaches that have gotten jobs? I mean, Brian Callahan got a job.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, apparently, uh, so the new quarterback dropped today. Cam Ward's on it. Can't wait to tune into that. I uh apparently there's like an embarrassing moment with Cam Ward and Brian Callahan in there. I'm pretty interested to see. I was pretty to see how in edge the coaching stage was.
SPEAKER_01I'm right. See, I I know ball. He did coach the Bills. Yeah, he got fired from the Jets in 2014 and in 2015, 2016 he was the head coach for the Buffalo Bills.
SPEAKER_00And then got fired. Yep. Yeah. Tough. And then it was over, wasn't it?
SPEAKER_01He went nearly two full seasons. He went 15 and 16, so it actually wasn't terrible. I mean, I wouldn't consider that great. Yeah, but I mean you got some people going fucking th 4 and 25, 30. So it could have been a lot worse. That's true.
SPEAKER_00You're talking about Aaron Glenn, and he's actually great. Do what? I said you're talking about Aaron Glenn and he's building something great. Yeah. That's gonna hurt them winning the Super Bowl more than fucking Geno Smith. He's setting, you know what, you know what Aaron Glenn's building? A culture.
SPEAKER_01But look, Aaron, Aaron Glenn's absolutely gonna get fired. The next coach that comes in, if he's decent, is going to have a lot to work with. Like that offense has potential. Omar Cooper, Garrett Wilson, Sadiq, not a big fan. Brees Hall. I do love Brees Hall. They get a quarterback. They get a quarterback and the right head coach in there, they're gonna have a direction.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but if any any quarterback is gonna be like, I would rather go to hell. You got David Bailey on the other side. I uh it's just so hard for me to be like the Jets have talent. But they do. Like, I don't think the Jets are the worst.
SPEAKER_01They're not I mean, you got the Dolphins and the Cardinals, but I don't think the Jets are the third worst team in the NFL.
SPEAKER_00They're not the third?
SPEAKER_01I don't think so.
SPEAKER_00They're the first. No. Though obviously not the first team. I think the Jets are gonna surprise some people this year. The the Dolphins have first locked up by mind.
SPEAKER_01The Jets are gonna split with both the Patriots and the Bills this year. Whoa. There's a fucking hot take. Holy shit. We got one half of it. Is the prediction gonna be wrong? I don't know, brother. I'm not an expert, but part of me feels like I can see the Jets splitting with both the Bills and the Patriots. I don't. I think the Patriots are taking a step back. I could see that, but I don't necessarily it's gonna be natural because of the schedule, but like I can see the Patriots.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they do have a much tougher schedule.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like the list of quarterbacks that they played last year was disgusting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they got to play fucking Geno Smith and Cam Ward.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they got to play a bunch of bullshit.
SPEAKER_01And Brady, was it Brady Cook?
SPEAKER_00Brady Cook.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you know, they're gonna they're at least 2-0.
SPEAKER_00That you know, that tells me right there that Daniel Jones is gonna be in the league a long time.
SPEAKER_01When Brady Cook's playing games, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Daniel Jones has a Riley Leonard. Yeah, there's gonna be a long lifespan for that guy.
SPEAKER_01Fucking Jacoby Brissett.
SPEAKER_00Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. He was on pace for some crazy numbers.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. He was throwing the ball like 45.
SPEAKER_00He was 0 and 8 doing it. But he was on pace. Oh, Michael Wilson, he's better than Stephon Diggs.
SPEAKER_01He's not even the wide receiver, too.
SPEAKER_00He is definitely a wide receiver. No, he's not. Michael Wilson's not a wide receiver too. He's not in Arizona, he's absolutely okay. Sorry, Mars better than Stefan Diggs.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I don't know. Mars hasn't put anything on the field.
SPEAKER_00If you've maybe if you're still going off the the uh see that picture he took the other day, dude's fucking yoked.
SPEAKER_01He looked he looked yoked going into last year, too. Then he fucking busted his appendix, broke his leg, cried, but he scored a touchdown. I'm still in on Marv. I'm still in on Marv.
SPEAKER_00I'm still in on Marv.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm I'm like hanging on to a thread. I can't jump off the wagon. I'm only in on Marv because I can't trade him in fan in Dynasty.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I uh I meant to tell you this. Brandon Ayuk posted on his Instagram, he said y'all haters make 200k a month while I make that in a day. We're not the same. First off, Brandon, if you can hear this. I wish I made 200k a month.
SPEAKER_01I wish I made 200k a year.
SPEAKER_00I wish I made 200k every two years.
SPEAKER_01Man, three. I probably had three.
SPEAKER_00So if you know a bunch of people making 200k a month, you you I guess would you like to befriend me? I guess you're in the right circle. Okay. I guess I was wrong. Circle's small though. My fault. I just had to I had to throw that in there. I forgot.
SPEAKER_01Circle, his circle is Jaden Daniels. Not anymore.
SPEAKER_00Not anymore. They're definitely not boys anymore.
SPEAKER_01Oh shit. Yeah, you probably didn't have very many friends.
SPEAKER_00Him, Rashad White, and Jaden Daniels all played on that Arizona State team together. And they were terrible. Yeah, they were terrible. Like, isn't that crazy? That's nuts.
SPEAKER_01Like, how do you have like three really good NFL players? Not only that, they were like good immediately. Well, not Rashad White was okay, but Yeah, he's never spent.
SPEAKER_00I mean, hey, look, he'll have a long career in the NFL.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. He'll be a career backup.
SPEAKER_00That means something. For sure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, now, you know, Rashad White could very well be the best backup running back in the NFL.
SPEAKER_00It's a stronger case than. Yeah, you can make that argument for sure. I probably would take Blake Coram over him.
unknownAh.
SPEAKER_00He's sick. Blake, Blake Coram was terrible as a root. He didn't get a lot of opportunity. Yes, because he was terrible. He looked good last year.
SPEAKER_01He did look good. Which look, we're talking, we can talk a little bit of dynasty here. There was somebody in here that traded for Kyron Williams and said that he now has a horse. I think Kyron Williams is due for a big down year this year. I think we're nearing the end of the Kyron Williams fantasy top 10 running back train.
SPEAKER_00He's a he's probably a top 12 running back.
SPEAKER_01Well if you like Blake Coram. I do like Blake. If you like Blake Coram, and I think the Rams like Blake Coram, I think Kyron Williams' stock is down.
SPEAKER_00I yeah, I would be willing to bet it won't be a 50-50 split by any means, but it could be closer to 60-40 than I think a lot of people can do.
SPEAKER_01And that doesn't stack up well for with Kyron. I mean a lot of his production came, you know, one yard. Well, he could add a lot more touchdowns if the you know the new QB sneak throwing a fade to Devontae Adams wasn't a thing. He he he mooched Kyron last year a lot.
SPEAKER_00I watched the receiver on Netflix.
SPEAKER_01You'd rather talk about when he said talking about Jimmy G. Devontae Adams is a dog bitch, dog. He's a dog. He is a hoe. Fuck that. He was talking, he was popping his shit. He yeah, I get it. Like he was talking sad about Jimmy on the sideline. I'm gonna get fucking killed here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he was talking crazy about Jimmy. And that like that's cool and all, but like at some point, like it gets fucking old. Yeah. Like it gets fucking old. And then Antonio Pierce comes in here. He's like, I feel like I could, I feel like I could lay it all on the on the line for Antonio.
SPEAKER_01Like you should be able to, I feel like you should do that for every coach if you're an NFL player.
SPEAKER_00It's ridiculous. That should be like one of the things. Yeah. Like, brother, you're getting paid an insane amount of money.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. The effort shouldn't be always at 100.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Like you just told me that you didn't even respect Josh McDaniels enough to fair trial.
SPEAKER_01People look great offensive coordinator.
SPEAKER_00Not a head coach.
SPEAKER_01He's had what, three, four chances? Blew it with the Broncos.
SPEAKER_00Blew it with the Raiders.
SPEAKER_01Didn't he get hired by the Colts and then was like, nah, I'm gonna go be the OC in New England instead. Was it the Colts? I think so. I want to say it was the Colts before they went with Steichen.
SPEAKER_00What a move by the Colts. What a way to get out of trouble. Boy. You dodged the boys.
SPEAKER_01We'd be calling them a poverty team right now.
SPEAKER_00Because if you think Shane Steichen's bad.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. He's not getting an interview for me.
SPEAKER_00He was never getting that out of Daniel Jones. No. Never. I I do have one last thing. Alright. And it's disgusting. And I know I shouldn't do it. He's gonna do it anyway. But Derek Carr said multiple teams have reached out to him.
SPEAKER_01I need to I wish they would put a name behind these. The teams that reached out? Yes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they should all be.
SPEAKER_01We were getting away. I think we had gone like five or six episodes without talking about them, and he snuck his way in again.
SPEAKER_00I you know, first off, Derek, you need to not answer those phone calls.
SPEAKER_01Please don't. We don't need, especially not anybody on my fantasy team.
SPEAKER_00I don't need you out here throwing hospital balls.
SPEAKER_01He's not good for the brain.
SPEAKER_00Like Devontae Adams said that he went to the Raiders to play with his college quarterback. Buddy. I don't know why you would want to play with the guy.
SPEAKER_01Because he he remembered what it was like in college when they weren't playing the best of the best.
SPEAKER_00Because I mean, you would have died. You thought Jimmy G was bad. I watched him literally almost ruin Chris Olave's career. I almost watched him single-handedly destroy a wide receiver's life.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, didn't they trade for Devontae Adams and then got rid of Derek Carr like immediately after? That's funny.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's why he hated Josh McDaniels. Fucking hate Derek Carr. Yeah. He's not coming back. He said it's gonna be hard to get him off the golf course. I hope so. I hope that reigns true.
SPEAKER_01They were like, yeah, we're looking we're really interested in having an emergency quarterback, so we thought we'd give you a call.
SPEAKER_00I guess he would be better than Brady Cook.
SPEAKER_01Still, I'd rather not start a quarterback. I'd rather have Brady Cook than Derek Carr because I feel like at least Garrett Wilson's more apt to be healthy.
SPEAKER_00I would rather just put Garrett Wilson and Brees Hall and Wildcat. Alternate him at Wildcat.
SPEAKER_01That'd be funny as shit.
SPEAKER_00Go make a play.
SPEAKER_01Just every every week there, everyone.
SPEAKER_00Look, you are obviously our two best players. Not even, it's not even close. Go make a play. It's just what you gotta do. Man.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Derek Carr, look, I'd much rather see you. Look, go the he should just go the Ben Simmons route. Go start a professional fishing team.
SPEAKER_00Speaking of Ben Simmons, did you not see what he said?
SPEAKER_01He's coming back?
SPEAKER_00He did. Ben Simmons said he's gonna come back to the NBA.
SPEAKER_01Alright, Colin, this is your chance to make it right. Hey, Ben Simmons. We're good. AJ DeBont is here now. Derek Peterson's here now. Caleb Wilson's here now.
SPEAKER_00Don't get hype over the NBA Summer League yet.
SPEAKER_01I'm not hype. I'm just saying, I'm just saying draft picks. You know, look, they told me that there were three or four number one picks in this draft.
SPEAKER_00Look, you don't have to get hype for it, because I'll say it for you. Caleb Wilson looks like the guy. Look, in any sport, he looks like the guy.
SPEAKER_01The one time I put any stock in preseason, I got fucking killed by it. Okay. All right. And that was the one time I've ever done it when I strayed away from my belief. I don't put stock in preseason football performances. I don't put stock in fucking summer league basketball, preseason basketball, international friendlies in soccer.
SPEAKER_00I uh I get it.
SPEAKER_01I get it. I put in stock on shit that matters, okay? I'm not here to argue that. So when I saw Will Levis come out and score a score points every time in the preseason, I'm like, oh shit. You know, he had a four-touchdown debut, you know, put in some preseason work, looked good, offense was clicking on there, and then he immediately is like, all right, I'm gonna start fucking Superman diving and lateraling the ball in the air and shit. Yeah, I just can't go back.
SPEAKER_00Well, look, brother, you don't have to worry because Will Levis isn't gonna be a Tennessee Titan by the probably the start of camp.
SPEAKER_01No, he posted he posted a picture on Instagram and said, back to your regular scheduled program, and it was him and the new unis holding the football up.
SPEAKER_00That's that's key.
SPEAKER_01I would have liked to see a Gatorade Cup.
SPEAKER_00He you know, he'll be uh he'll be a great UFL quarterback. He'll be sick in the UK. He will be the sickest in the UFL. The sickest. He'll be the sickest. The Louisville Kings are gonna go back to back. Because they're gonna have Will Levis. No.
SPEAKER_01No, I hope not. Why? I don't I don't because that's the local team. That is the local team. You know, if I had to cheer for the local football team, that means I'd have to cheer for Will Levis again, and I don't want to do that. He's hurt you once. Yeah, you fool me once, shame on me. Or shame on you. You fool me, you can't get fooled again. Like like George Bush said. Oh, brother, you got anything else? Nah, man. I don't. Football season's almost here. We're about to start getting training camp reports. Yeah. That starts out in the next couple weeks. We're about to have the Hall of Fame games gonna be coming up. We might be able to pick it up a little bit. Man, we're gonna start getting some real some real analysis on the horizon.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's it for episode 30. Brandon Ayu, please stop shooting yourself up.
SPEAKER_01It's not, it's too late now. Keep doing it. It's too late.
SPEAKER_00Stefan Diggs, please stop sexually harassing people.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no. Well, people too, but especially men.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and women. Shouldn't do it either. You should just stop doing it.
SPEAKER_01Hey, bro.
SPEAKER_00He said no. No means no, Stefan, please. That's it. I'm out of here. You out of here?
SPEAKER_01Stop out, man. Like, subscribe, shall share, holler at your boys, all that good shit, man. Episode 30. We're not experts. We'll see y'all on the next one.
