Karissa Jackson

Karissa Jackson (she/her) is Program Manager - Economic Inclusion and Livelihoods, a program seeking to bolster the resilience of the global LGBTIQ movement and better equip key stakeholders to lead social change for more inclusive development, improved economic growth, and democratic participation for LGBTIQ people. 


Before joining Outright, Karissa spent seven years at Freedom House, working on programs in Europe and Eurasia before joining Dignity for All, a global program that provides support to human rights defenders under threat for their work on behalf of LGBTIQ people.  Karissa holds an MA in Russian and East European Area Studies (Indiana University) and a BA in Russian Studies and International Studies (Centre College).

Katie Holtquist

Katie Hultquist (she/her) is Outright’s Director of Leadership Giving, working with Outright’s major donors and other strategic philanthropic partners around the world to propel our shared vision forward. Previously, she was a Board Member and West Coast Director for Outright. Katie has over 25 years of experience in nonprofit management and fundraising in the social justice sector. 

As the Executive Director of Passages Northwest, a community-based organization, her work focused on building courage and leadership in girls. Katie was also the Assistant Development Director for the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice and the Director of Partnerships and Outreach for Ashoka’s Youth Venture.

Katie is a passionate feminist and trans ally devoted to intersectional approaches to human rights and social justice movements. Originally from San Francisco, Katie lives in Seattle with her wife and three children.
