Hello and welcome to another episode of The Bend. This is Dina. And this is Teresa. Hello. Hello. So happy to be here today and to have you in person with me. Ish. And it's super exciting to be in your basement when you are in my bedroom. Because we cannot figure technology out to save our lives.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. It's it's great to be here with your family, you know, watching the teenagers be teenager. And I mean that positively. I mean that negatively. Thank you. And uh and spend time with your husband that little bit. And but then of course, most importantly, we had girl time. So, so much fun.
SPEAKER_01So, how did we get here?
SPEAKER_00How do we get here? We got here through synchronicity. That's how we got here. The whole week for me has been examples of synchronicity. So I had been thinking about going dancing in Chicago on tomorrow night, tonight, Saturday, it's Saturday. And yesterday afternoon, I was about an hour and a half away from going to a meeting, a voluntary meeting, and I got a text from you, and you said, What are the chances of you coming to this? And it was a hot flash dance night. And I said, Really high.
SPEAKER_01And I was like, Really? Because it never seems to really work out. Like our schedules just don't work out that way. And I think I got the text early in the week, maybe on the week, yeah, early week, because a friend was like, Let's go to this. And we could all um, like basically my book club and a couple other people were like, we can make it. It's this hot flash dance party happens once a month. And so yeah, I texted it, put it out in the universe, and here you are.
SPEAKER_00And it was so fun. I was like, Yes, I get um skip that meeting. I'm gonna go have some girl stuff, like a little dance clothes. And um, yeah, it was super fun. And now I don't have to go dancing by myself in Chicago. I know. So it was even more fun. And special thanks and um uh to Sarah, Tracy, Sarah, and BJ for welcoming me. All the moms welcomed me to their dance party.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, it was the best time ever.
SPEAKER_00I couldn't believe it.
SPEAKER_01All of them, yeah. We got to this place and there was like a line out the door. We had to wait for people to leave or to get in. And it just proceeded to be uh super fun, just like the old days. It was like people are able to do the same thing we did 20 some years ago.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, all the great music. Yeah, I think my three highlights of the night were just being able to let loose because I was needing that, and I love that. As you know, I love to dance. Yes, and I got to you with my dance partner. You are like my probably original like crazy dance partner. Yes. And I think at that time when we were out dancing a lot, the other people I'd go out with, we didn't go dancing. We'd go listen to music, maybe, or have a glass of wine or have dinner. But it just it was so much fun to be back dancing with you.
SPEAKER_01Ah, thank you.
SPEAKER_00Uh, and just you know, getting out of routine. Yeah, super important for me. And so total asynchronicity that I was even thinking about going dancing and then you asked. So it was definite sign, like this is what I'm doing.
SPEAKER_01I know, it was so great. It was so much fun. Boy, were we sweating our butts off though? Holy cow! I love it. We were all a mess, it was great.
SPEAKER_00And I was, you know, I don't drink a lot, but I had a vodka tonic and I felt it like in two minutes. It hit me right away.
SPEAKER_01I loved, okay, you don't know this part, but um, all my friends were momming you a little bit, and they were so, you know, mommying me? What is it? A little bit. Uh so like you were dancing, you had found a partner to dance with a non-female partner, and you not that anything it was perfect, right? You guys were just dancing. It was great. And they were just like, Do you want to stay by Teresa? Like, is she okay? And I was like, Yep, she's fine. And they're like, Wait, are you sure? Like, because we all said at one point we kind of left to kind of cool off for a second and come back. And she's like, Well, I don't know if if we should just leave her there. I was like, She's fine. No, that's so cute. It was really sweet. And I felt a little bad about it because I was very much, you know, adamant, like you were fine, because I know you. Yeah, and I it seemed very innocent, you know. I mean, I it was if it wasn't, I would have known.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know what I mean. So definitely, and I wouldn't have put up with it anyway if it wasn't.
SPEAKER_01I mean, there was a dude cut trying to make eye contact with us, and then he'd try to come in and he couldn't dance. So don't even come up in here with that. None of that.
SPEAKER_00Ugh. Yeah, that was just like, did he he really did not pick up other clues? So this was in the first five minutes of being on the dance floor. Right. He did not pick up the clue that we were 100% content with just us. There, there was no, we weren't going, where's where's the male energy? Yeah, where's the guys? We're here to get laid tonight. Is my cleavage showing enough? I know. But it was it was super fun. And yeah, that that guy, he tried a couple times, tried to infiltrate, and I B Janna definitely like she did the best job of just being like thought him out. That was his second time around, and he just kept walking past then because she she did such an effective job of letting them know no.
SPEAKER_01I love what I didn't see what she did.
SPEAKER_00You're not adding to the benefit here. Yes, we don't know. I think it just effectively turned her back or somehow just blocked him out. I love that. The other guy that I was ended up dancing with, uh, he was just fun. He was just having fun. So he wanted to do it, it was different. He could actually dance decently. Right.
SPEAKER_01And he got the crowd motivated too.
SPEAKER_00He did get the crowd, yeah. And he was into everyone having fun.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was great.
SPEAKER_00It's not that like if uh a guy can't dance well, he shouldn't dance. You should just still go out and have fun, do your thing. But just be aware that if girls are dancing together and you know, they might not really need you in their group. Exactly. It might not be a value-added service, right? Yep.
SPEAKER_01I mean, yeah, I don't know. It was just all kind of wrong. Okay. Gods are wrong. All the gods are wrong.
SPEAKER_00Anyway, what was the best thing for you about last night?
SPEAKER_01Oh, that was the best thing about I just love getting groups of women together that didn't know each other. I I love to dance. It's been so long. I didn't, you know, we were talking, and maybe we've mentioned it on the show before too. It's like I have always loved to dance. I've never had a lesson, but I feel like I just always know what my body just knows what to do, you know? Yeah. But then at some point I did dance and I was like, oh, wait a minute. Maybe I don't know what I'm doing, and I look ridiculous. And so then I just started to panic about, and I was like, I don't think I need to dance ever again. Even though I'm very much like pink, like I'm never not gonna dance, you know what I mean? Yeah. Last night you were feeling that way even? No, not last night I wasn't. Oh, yes. Because I didn't really care.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yeah, you know, but and I feel like the music that you grow up with takes you to that place of not caring.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00At least it does for me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, me too. So I really just uh danced. I just danced like I used to, and it was great.
SPEAKER_00Uh and then this morning uh when I you were already awake doing your mom thing in the kitchen, and I was like, oh Dina in her space, doing her stuff, efficient, commanding her space, getting everything ready for everyone when they wake up. It's just it's always I love seeing that, like when a person's in their space, and particularly women when they know they're it's not knowing your place, because that sounds um almost degrading, but it's just like, no, this is my space. Yeah. Yeah. There's just something cool about that.
SPEAKER_01Ah, thanks. Yeah. I hate cooking breakfast so much. I wouldn't have noticed. Yeah, well, you know, you do what you gotta do. Were you showing off? No, God, no. No, I I would have been happy to just drink coffee all morning and do nothing, but that doesn't help anybody, so and there's probably a little bit of guilt for uh going out last night. Uh a little bit, you know. So that makes sense.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But that's the give and take of a relationship too. Yeah, for sure. It wouldn't I would do it again, and I will do it again because I know this will happen again. But yes, you know, that mom guilt is so real, and even though you have kids that don't need you, they want you when they want you, and if they're not you're not there when they want you, then you just feel bad about that too. But whatever, it's just part of it. But yeah, I've accepted it.
SPEAKER_00And then they'll have their turn to figure that out for themselves too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_00Uh so what else has been synchronous?
SPEAKER_01Anything else for you? What else has been synchronous? Oh, yeah, I do have something. You know, I've kind of been on this creative journey, and that's where this podcast kind of came from. And I I don't know, I think I was reading a book. It was the book that is about an introvert who lives as an extrovert for a year. And one of the things that she does to get herself more comfortable with being an extrovert is she does some improv classes. And I I was like, that sounds amazing. I think I would like to do that. And so, you know, maybe a year ago I started thinking about that, but I've done nothing about it. And then just this week, I looked at comedy or improv classes and they popped up, and it's very accessible and you know, it seems super fun anyway. It's several weeks long, and I'm just like, oh, when do I have really time for that? But anyway, I made a little bit more progress towards something that I will do. I've just got to figure it out. And I happened to meet somebody to this week who actually is involved in this particular comedy club. And he was telling me about it, and I was like, wait a minute, is that the same place that does the improv classes? He's like, Yes. And I said, I want to do that. He said, You absolutely should. So it was just crazy how that kind of came together. And one thing I want to say about that is, well, I just want to put this out in the world too. It's I tend to be an all or nothing kind of a person, right? And so I think I've always wanted to do some kind of comedy because I think it would just be fun. But in my mind, it's like if I do comedy, well, not that I'm gonna be good at it enough to be something, but anyway, it's just like, well, I'm not gonna do that because I'm not gonna end up on HBO or whatever and having my own games, whatever, right? But his one of his other points was like the local comedians in this area are what keep that thing going, you know? And I think about acting and music and mostly all the arts. And I think, well, why would you ever do something like that if you're not gonna end up doing it all the way? And I don't need to think like that, right? Nobody does, right? Just go do your thing and have some joy, see what happens. Have fun. That's awesome. Yeah, great story.
SPEAKER_00It's a great segue into your taking the next steps.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So we'll see. How about you? How about your synchronicity?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I just have an interesting thing. I've had this sort of thing happen to me before. I love synchronicities, I love signs, I'm I try to be on the lookout for them all the time or open to them all the time. So an interesting one for me this week was I woke up with a memory. I was smiling and woke up with this memory of being in Thailand. And uh I was at a specific I'll call it a touristy place. Um, I had uh went there with a traveler friend that I met when I was traveling and he and I were there and I remember him taking a photo. I'm standing next to this cardboard cutout of a Thai man. Life size cutout. Don't we all have that? You know, I just was smiling with that memory and thinking of my friend that I'd met, who now I haven't seen for ages. Uh, he's from South Africa, so you know, those sorts of things are challenging. So I I woke up on April 1st thinking about that memory. And I thought, I've got to find that picture that he took. And I looked and it was from April 2013. So in the same month, I wake up thinking about um a memory that happened uh years ago.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So that's amazing. Then I then yeah, I kind of go off in my own head about like, what does that mean? What why am I remembering that today? Other than that, um, I believe like feeling that in my body, like, oh, this is when we were doing that. I've had that too, like when I've left on a very important trip or something like that. I I've had that where like, what is today? Today is something, it's not a holiday, it's not a this, and then I look at the calendar and like, oh my gosh, that's the day I flew out of there to there, and you know, did this whole life-changing action.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's so cool.
SPEAKER_00So so yeah, so the there there's probably more to why I was thinking of that particular memory, which I'll keep to myself, but yeah, very cool.
SPEAKER_01My dreams are intense and they're often really negative, and then I wake up and I just have so much guilt and I don't know why. And they're just so vivid. I'll remember all these little details of this these dreams throughout the day. I mean, at some point I usually forget about them, but I had a recent one this week and I was just like, I feel like I want to call this person and apologize. And that would be weird, it did not happen. But you know what I mean? But you felt it so strongly. Yeah, absolutely. I always do, especially with the bad dreams, you know. A lot of them are like that I cheat on my husband, which I've never done, nor would I do. And I just wake up and I'm like, oh my god, thank god it was just a dream. I feel so bad.
SPEAKER_00Okay, well, I I again, you know, I dabble in a lot of things. I know. And one of his dream interpretation, I'm not an expert, but we can do this off the off the recording. Okay. Sometimes. Sometime. Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes bad dreams are actually good. You know, it's not always how we feel about them. They can actually be opposite. Yeah. Yeah. Not all the interpretations are that straightforward.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I sometimes have them and they're so crazy. I think I want to write it down and make a movie out of it. Because I I'll wake up and be like, but that would be an amazing movie. Like it really has nothing to do with my life, I think. But I'm like, that was so intense. I think somebody should make that movie. So more to come, people. More to come. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You got you got a lot on your to-do list now. And I sure do. Writing a movie, mommy, hoeing it up on the dance floor.
SPEAKER_01Hey, speaking of follow-ups, though, how are we doing on our inversions, Kendall? I mean, Teresa.
SPEAKER_00All the daughters' names. It's so awesome. And I'm sitting in your basement.
SPEAKER_01We're we listen, we tried to record next to each other like normal human beings, and we could not figure out how to make that work. So it wasn't in the stars. No. We were not sinking.
SPEAKER_00Well, I think you were the one doing inversions. I was doing backbends.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's right.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. My backbending has not been adequate whatsoever. No, especially when I think of how much time I spend driving around to places. And um, when I'm teaching, I'm often looking down at people, so I'm hunched there. So it's not enough. I I've I'm slowly trying to get back now that I'm back in my routine and trying to get back into a routine of you know, maybe once a day, backbending. Okay. Even if it's just for 10 seconds, but nothing major because now I've sort of regressed again.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00I will say though, my trip to Florida, which was a success with my dad. Um, you know, all things considered, there are always there's always gonna be a few little things that come up. Yeah. But uh that's part of traveling and part of being with family. I did get back on a really good movement routine.
unknownGood.
SPEAKER_00And I've been able to sustain that when I got back, which was really nice because I feel totally different when I'm moving regularly.
SPEAKER_01I have more pain when I'm not moving, I think. It's just a different kind of a pain, you know. Definitely, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So that I in that aspect everything's good. So now it's just a matter of incorporating those things like being specific about back bends and um trying to do find a little space for that routine.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Nice. So I was supposed to do the inversions, clearly didn't really do that, but I have been spending a lot more time like on my shoulders kind of. I just have this tension in my shoulders lately. I think it has to do with the ergonomics of work and you know, whatever. So I'm often late, so that I'm kind of putting pressure on my shoulder, and I actually have a lidocaine patch on it today, and that is really making it better.
SPEAKER_00Amazing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh no, it's gonna be that simple. But yeah, but you have been going more regularly to a gym that you now are officially attached to.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yeah. I did try a couple things and I was all about them, and then I was like, nope, that's not it. So I I'm in a a gym home and I am loving it. So three days a week I'm up at you know for a 5 30 in the morning weight training class and it's really good. So good for you. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Really great, really great.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, sit-ups, that was one thing I was supposed to be doing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because I showed you some exercises, some Pilates things.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So not doing those, huh? I am doing those. I I will say on average, probably like three times a week, but I intend to update. Well, that's really good. Or maybe we advance to something new today.
SPEAKER_00We might need to advance or to make it harder for you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So add more or make it harder.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Excellent. Good, good. So one other thing that happened to me this week. Yeah, I was with a group of people and we were talking, having some drinks. It was great. And I was talking about the podcast. Okay. And uh, there were some men there, and they're like, wait a minute, you should have the male perspective of like being with an aging woman. And so I was like, Yeah, that can be fun. I would have to and I said, I said this to them, you I would have to be vetted because you can't come out and be a dick on my show. But it was pretty funny.
SPEAKER_00I would please say that because I would love it if you I you're so good about just like saying it the way you say it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I try to make it funny, but I'm also very honest and blunt about it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay, well, I hope it's in that. I think that must be another synchronicity because I was kind of thinking, would would that work to have a guy on our podcast? I wasn't thinking of it in terms of a male perspective about something, but I was just thinking as a guest about some topic that somehow related back to women. Yeah. So that might be kind of interesting. That might be kind of interesting, but yes, they need to be vetted.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Not just any person gets to come on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, not just anybody. Come on. This is like high class. We are exclusive.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_01Not like OnlyFans exclusive, but you know. So if anybody knows of anybody that would be a good male perspective for the aging woman, let us know and we'll think about it.
SPEAKER_00Also, I'd say a positive thing about podcasts is a friend of mine contacting me for a nutrition help. Love it. Yeah, yeah, because she listened to, well, she's listened to all of our episodes. But there was one in particular that kind of connected for her with what she has going on. And yeah, I think that's awesome to be able to actually directly help people too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, absolutely. We're obviously very open to that. So if anybody listening has any questions or anything they're struggling with, let us know. And we can figure out the best way to do that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So we're available for services. Yeah, she even uh quoted exactly something you said.
SPEAKER_01So oh, but I I got the call. Because she knows you. That's fine. I'll take half, B. I'll take half. Just kidding.
SPEAKER_00You could have it. Oh, we might have to like yeah, start signing some contracts with each other now. Okay, we'll see.
SPEAKER_01But speaking of services, what's I know you know, with your Pilates, people want to get in touch with you. I mean, I think people can obviously reach out through Instagram. We have a uh thing on Instagram and Facebook, and we don't really have a website because we ain't making no money, okay?
SPEAKER_00Um, but also it's not necessary.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we're not in it for that at this point.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. That's so it's intentional, is all I'm saying. We're intentionally not having a website right now. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I uh I do have Instagram. It's really long. Maybe we can put it in the show notes. Yeah, we'll do that. At Illuminate underscore movement underscore L L C. But I'm actually doing in partnership with a friend of mine, we've created uh a retreat and this is something I've wanted to do for a while. Who's kind of you know put out feelers to different people and then finally, you know, takes a while sometimes for something to come together. And um so now we've been in planning stage for a bit. This friend and I, she lives in Peru. Uh she's a US citizen now, so I know her from where I'm living now. And it's gonna be a combination of well, I'll do Pilates, we'll likely have meditation. I mean, we know what we're gonna do, we just like the layout and all it is not yet revealed. She's a breathwork practitioner, so there'll be breath work, so different type of ceremony, and then really trying to connect with uh women in the Andean culture. And there'll be some touristy stuff, like seeing local, well, beautiful nature sites in Peru, because nature is amazing there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And health related, you know, both she and I are focused on when we can, natural remedies and that sort of thing. So tying in any and all of those things, we're really excited about how we've got it all set up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, love it.
SPEAKER_00And you can connect with us on Instagram um at Sami Soul Retreats. So it's S-A-M-A-Y-S-O-U-L R E T R E A T S. All of a sudden I'm gonna spell that. Um ish and we yeah, and we haven't the um registration's not open yet, but we have started to, you know, uh market it and it will be available soon. We're just tying up some details on our website. Nice and so forth. So yeah, we're very excited. That's going to be the end of July, beginning of August. Okay. It'll be in Urabamba, Peru. So if you love travel, if you don't like to travel by yourself and want to be with other women, it's a I mean, there's just so many good reasons to go on this retreat. It's gonna be unique.
SPEAKER_01Is it women only?
SPEAKER_00Women only.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Yep. And we're even our activities are trying, we're we're trying to uh emphasize women in our activities. It's not you know that we're against if we have a a male interacting in a ceremony. Sometimes that is part of encountering. There will be no other kind of male encounters unless you're doing that on your own time. Okay. Um, but uh yeah, so it's gonna be great. It's gonna be health-focused, empowering, fun, community, uh healing. I love it so much. Yeah, so thanks. That's that's um something that's been in process for a while and that is fun is feels good to be like, yeah, okay, I thought of this a couple of years ago and now it's happening.
SPEAKER_01So I love it. Way to go, T.
SPEAKER_00Thanks. Yeah, well, I needed I needed a partner. I knew that. I wanted a partner in it. I'm open to other partners in it. If any of you out there want to co-plan something. Yeah. Um, because I I, you know, as we know, I'm single, I don't have kids, I kind of do my own thing, and I need to be in more partnerships. And that that has been a a goal of mine business-wise. And and personally too. But that was kind of where I started things was trying to collaborate more with within business.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's great. And you know so many people from so many different walks of your life too. And you know, I think it's cool to try to find ways to reconnect with people that you've known in your life too. I love that. It's like with us, right? We we kind of reconnected over the past few years and now look at us, and yeah, it's one of my favorite things is that we you're back with me. Yeah, yeah, we get to Girl Talk again today. Girl talk. Yes, I know. Yeah, so today's today's just really a fun little girl talk kind of day and catching up and catching up, yeah. Yeah, we're looking at getting some guests to come on and talk about things. So if anybody has anything they're wanting guidance with or knows of anybody that would be good on the show, send us a message. Call in 1-800. Just kidding.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so 1-800 hot flash.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, so here I'll show you. So this is what I was going to bring last night and forgot. It's it's a fan, it's a little handheld fan. It cools you down. It's my favorite. And there is also a flashlight, but oh, see, it is a flashlight. So won't get murdered. And it's heavy and round. So I mean, lots of things could happen here. You're gonna light up your vagina. Yes, I'm gonna light it up. No, I'm good. Anyways.
SPEAKER_00Um, it had to come out. It's been a girls' weekend. Yes, of course it's gonna come out. Just like it probably happens with the dudes when they get together.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, exactly. Oh, one other thing happened this week. I don't know if you've heard of this show. It's called Heated Rivalry. And it's Yeah, I've heard of it.
SPEAKER_00I don't I'm not I'm bad on pop culture.
SPEAKER_01Well, uh, it's uh a show about hockey and two men that play hockey that are in a relationship with each other, and it's beautiful. It's really beautiful, and also really hot. Who knew? And so I watched this show and it's like, yep, I like this. And then one of my friends had a birthday and invited a couple people over to watch the last three episodes and eat pizza, and I was just like, felt a little weird, but also it was super fun because we'd like clap, we'd be like, Yay! Oh, woo-hoo! It's a little story, you mean? Yeah, exactly. Because it is really cute. It's not, it's less, I mean, people might say it's graphic. I don't think it's very graphic. I mean, you don't, it's not like porn, right? Yeah, but it's intense, but from an emotional standpoint, you know, and then there's sex involved too, but it's just like I don't know, there's a lot of anticipation. So in that way, the writing was really good, it's really good, and the acting is amazing. Yeah, the Russian dude is hot and very masculine, but not in real life, and he's Russian in the show, but he's not in real life, so he just skills it. He does a good job. Neat. So yeah I love that when all those things come together in a show, yes, and the group, you know, whatever. Fan fandom, the fandom, yeah.
SPEAKER_00The fandom, uh uh uh. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So all right, T. Well, a little shorter episode today. But that's okay. Yeah, you know. Anything else you want to talk about? Food? Any new recipes you've been trying?
SPEAKER_00Uh no, I don't have any new recipes right now. I but you know, I'll tell you what I love. It's because you know I'm a tea drinker, and so I like to mix and do things with teas. Um, it's all very simple. So my favorite, my favorite thing that is also incredibly healthy is I put in my biggest thermal thing that I have. I grate fresh ginger. I put in sometimes half a lemon, maybe more, depends. And um, I have this excellent powder. Uh, it's a really high quality. I mean, it smells so good. And I put a lot of that in because I don't I don't mind the that some for some people I think it might be too intense the amount that I put in. And then honey. Whatever honey that I'm fixated on for that day or that week. And uh with hot water. And to me, it is just like a tonic. It is soothing, it's delicious, it's healing, it's energizing, it's warming.
SPEAKER_01Nice.
SPEAKER_00So that's why I'm craving. I'll probably make that when I get home, whenever time I get home today.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that sounds good. Sometimes I'll sneak ginger and turmeric into the chicken noodle soup that I'm making, and a little lemon too, just to kind of put some of those healing herbs in there. But I can't do too much of it, otherwise they'll know that it's in there. And sometimes, you know, my son is like he's very in tune with sense and tastes. Interesting. And so he can tell anytime I do something different to food. Wow. Wow. So usually I have to be careful or he'll be like, what do you think?
SPEAKER_00He might be. Yeah. Do you know the on the tongue of you know, our tongues are huge sensory organs? And I I can't tell you exactly what part of the tongue, but um, people who are super tasters have their the way their little things are on their tongue, the buds on the tongue are actually like different, their shape different or size different. I don't remember. That's the part that's bad about me is I have great trivia, and then I can't remember how much it's partial trivia.
SPEAKER_01Partial trivia with Teresa.
SPEAKER_00Partial trivia. That is great. That is great. That is me. So yeah, uh, so he can tell everything.
SPEAKER_01So you can't you can't cheat. No, not really. I even tried, I put a smidge of cottage cheese in eggs to make them a little fluffier. He was like, no, this is terrible. The protein pasta, like the barilla protein pasta, to me, that tastes exactly the same as regular pasta. He can tell, and he's like, I don't like this, it does not taste the same. So he's very nuanced with that. And you know, he's bougie. We talk about that all the time.
SPEAKER_00But I love him for it too. It's my kind of guy. Yeah. I uh but see, I love those flavors. So if they're in there, I'm like, ooh, this is in there. Yeah. You know, I would get excited about it. I wouldn't get uh turned off by that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And be like, more of it, please. I love those strong flavors.
SPEAKER_01I'm it depends. Depends on the day for me, I would say. But did you have another food thing? I haven't really tried anything new lately, but I did make a special dish. Stuffed peppers with the peppers are no no, stuffed shells. And the shells are stuffed with eggplant and sausage. Yum. It and spinach. They're really good, but they take forever to make, so that was my big thing this week.
SPEAKER_00All right, T. It's been real, it's been fun, and it's actually been real fun. Um say it's been real, it's been fun, but it hasn't been real fun. No. That's a way old school saying, I thought. Okay, well, it's been real, it's been fun. It's been real, real fun.
SPEAKER_01All right, bye, T. Bye.
