When stress feels big and thoughts feel sticky, this meditation helps you refocus on simple physical sensations—your breath, the floor beneath you, warmth in your body. You'll practice finding space from mental overwhelm. A quick reset for busy minds.

Why this helps? Shifting attention to pleasant sensations creates distance from overwhelming thoughts.

We'd love to hear from you!

Welcome And Settle

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Inner Strength Meditations. Let's take a moment.

Begin With Slow Breath

SPEAKER_02

Let's begin with a slow, deep breath.

Grounding Through Touch

SPEAKER_02

Notice what is connected to your body. Maybe you can feel a soft texture from your shirt. Maybe you can sense the floor underneath your feet. Or what is right at your fingertips, guiding your attention to what is here in this moment.

From Thoughts To Sensations

SPEAKER_02

When we shift our focus from our thoughts to our physical sensations, we help ourselves slow down. Especially when we were having really sticky thoughts.

SPEAKER_01

Take another slow breath. Notice the feeling of breathing in and breathing out.

Return To Steady Breath

SPEAKER_02

When we have a lot of stress, our thoughts can seem so big. It can be difficult to notice anything else. Sometimes it's helpful to bring our attention to pleasant, simple physical sensations to gain a little space from the thoughts in our mind.

SPEAKER_01

What can you notice right now?

SPEAKER_02

One sensation you can always return to is your slow and steady breath.

SPEAKER_01

Notice the feeling of breathing in and breathing out.

Gentle Closing Awareness

SPEAKER_01

Thoughts might still be in your mind.

SPEAKER_02

That is okay. They come and go. Shifting your focus to pleasant sensations might help turn down the volume of other thoughts floating around.

SPEAKER_01

Where do you feel warm? Can you notice the solid floor under your feet?

SPEAKER_02

We'll take just a few more moments to sit, shifting our attention to pleasant physical sensations, finding a little distance from our thoughts.
