Ashleigh M. Day, Ph.D., is a communication researcher specializing in applied communication, environmental crises, risk and health implications. She focuses on qualitative and mixed-method research regarding crisis, risk communication and associated health outcomes, such as vaccination perceptions and water crises.

Dr. Day earned her PhD in Communication from Wayne State University. She examines crisis, risk and health communication, specifically looking at how people interpret risks and make sense of crises, including pet owner safety during disasters, vaccine communication and environmental hazards.

Dr. Day has published studies on topics such as the Flint, Michigan water crisis, the importance of "dread risk" in vaccine communication and, as shown on the Atlantic Journal of Communication, informational needs of pet owners during hurricanes.

Nora A Stefani is a communication scholar and educator whose work centers on media, identity and feminist communication studies. Stefani's teaching philosophy emphasizes inclusive pedagogy, particularly supporting neurodivergent students, informed by her own experiences with ADHD and advocacy for open discussion of neurodiversity in academic environments.
