The Apprentice Perspective
Apprenticeships are on the rise in Illinois. These programs offer businesses a way to build the high-skill talent they need. These programs also offer Illinoisans a path to a long-term, family-sustaining career in fields driven by market demand without the need for a four-year degree.
The Apprentice Ambassador Program seeks out a yearly cohort of star current or former apprentices to represent a wide variety of industries and locations within Illinois. During their year in the cohort, Apprentice Ambassadors are featured as guest speakers at business events to highlight the impact apprenticeships have had on them, their families, and their companies. This podcast brings our Ambassadors’ stories to you, our listeners. Every episode also features a guest host who is a leader in business, government, or workforce development.
Join us to hear the stories of Illinois apprentices and be a part of moving the needle for businesses and job seekers towards a thriving future.
