Megan is a trauma informed breathwork facilitator and is passionate about sharing breathwork with the world and also learning and growing every day in hopes of a better and more loving world! As a once single (for the first 6 years of her child's life) mom of a neurodivergent kiddo, she understands the plight of raising a child that struggles and is still forging her path and learning new ways to support her child, all while living striving for joy, balance and inspiration. Her hope is to help other moms earlier and in their child's life to find tools and practices that focus inward instead of using external forces to numb and relax - like scrolling for quick dopamine, comparing on social media, the nightly wine.

For moms, seekers, and beautiful souls ready to stop coping and start living.
Equanimity refers to a state of mental and emotional stability where a person maintains serenity, impartiality, and mindfulness regardless of external circumstances. It involves neither overreacting to challenges nor being unduly elated by success.
In psychology, equanimity is associated with resilience, emotional regulation, and stress management. Individuals with equanimity can:
- Respond to setbacks without extreme emotional swings
- Maintain clarity of thought during conflicts or crises
- Foster healthier interpersonal interactions by avoiding reactive behaviors
Hello, beautiful souls. It's Megan coming at you with um, I feel like this is almost the first episode. Things have kind of been um floating around in my mind, and I've been trying to um make shape of what I'm trying to do here, and it all has come together in the last couple days. So I know I've shared a little bit about what I hope for this podcast and for um my my company Glimpse. Um, and that has not changed. Um, I still want to reach people and make life more fun, more joyful. Um, you know, just spread the love. So I have now um now I'm ready to introduce my my methodology here, the glimpse method. So as I think I shared with you before, glimpse, that word just kept coming to me, and I searched it, and there's there's a lot of podcasts with that name. And I was like, oh, it's kind of hard to say with the M and the P and the S, but it's cute, Glimpse, and you you know, just get people to take a glimpse and see what sticks, like that seemed right. Um, so I mean, I tried to come up with another word, another business name, another podcast name, and nothing was hitting, nothing resonated with me. So I surrendered and gave up and decided to go with Glimps. And um, which you know, it just kind of tells you sometimes if you just become still and listen, the answers may already be there for you. Um, you may be fighting them. Um, just like when my husband and I were on a road trip, and I think I shared this, he came up with um, well, he was just asking me. I was driving and he was just kind of brainstorming, asking me what kind of words you know have I been living, or what comes up for me when I think about my past year and and my journey of self-acknowledgement, self-improvement, self-love. And um so I just kind of started rattling off words, and um, you know, some of them were breathe, freedom, universe, God, um, universe is net positive, meditation, breath work, inhale, exhale. Um, and then he started to kind of get more. How about we think of a word for glimpse or each letter of glimpse? And I was like, no, I'm not gonna do that, that's too long, and um and then literally like 10 minutes later, I'm like, that is actually the best idea ever, and pretty much came up with all of the the um the words pretty naturally, pretty easily. I've tweaked a few, but um, I just kind of thought of the process I go through when I meet with clients and um and when I take them through a breathwork session, and I felt like I wanted to do so much more than just breath work. Breath work is an awesome tool. It has helped me to to slow down, to quiet my mind, to really um appreciate myself, my time. You know, it's I love just taking, you know, 10, 15 minutes or even our an hour session and just breathing. And afterwards, you're in such a great state to kind of visualize and manifest. And sometimes you have these downloads where things become clear to you. So that's why I always tell people like have a journal nearby just to jot down ideas as they come, maybe even during the session, because it's interesting how when you slow slow down and kind of let your mind rest and breathe through your body, um, answers come to you. Um, so I'm just gonna briefly go through um a short description of each word and um and what they mean. And then um basically over the next um couple months, I will be taking an episode or two on each letter, each word, each concept, and going in depth with it. And then hopefully I will have amazing guests that will even bring forth a deeper understanding of each of these um concepts that I have in the glimpse method. Um so starting with ground. So before anything else, we need to ground, we need to feel supported. Um, we need a good foundation. So grounding is the foundation that everything else is going to be built on. Um love is uh also kind of combined with gratitude. So gratitude is so important in life, and if you are not grateful for what you already have and who you already are, and the people in your life, um the universe and God probably won't give you more to be grateful for. So um loving yourself, it sounds so cliche, but it is so important, and it's not only just loving certain parts of yourself, it's loving every part, even the parts you may not really like, because a lot of those parts, they're just protecting you. They just I know one of the things that I don't love about myself that I'm working on working on right now is my sensitivity. Um I feel like sometimes my feelings get hurt, and I just wish I I say I wish I could just toughen up. Um but you know that's just part of who I am, and it's it's part of what my mind does to try and protect me. So I have to love myself for trying to protect me. Um and then also love is uh for others too. I mean, we have to to love those around us and even those people in our lives and have gratitude for them, but even um people that you don't necessarily agree with, they're still children of God, children of the universe, whatever you believe in. Um and I'm one of the people that believes people are there are more good people in the world. And I don't know that there's necessarily bad people, um just maybe broken people. Uh okay, I went a little deep on the love, but it's a big one. Um, the next one is I for inspire, and this is just kind of reconnecting with what lights you up, what fills you, what reminds you that you're here for a reason, what inspires you. And I think a lot of times we get into the daily grind and we're, you know, doing day-to-day stuff, we're working, we're taking care of the family, we're doing our chores, and we don't take the time to really think about you know what really inspires us and making time for that. Uh, the next one is manifest, and it's something that some people may think as woo, but and it may be a little bit, but it's really fun, and um it can help you to call things into your life if you don't take the time to think about what you really want. You're just kind of going blindly. Um, you know, wouldn't you want to really figure out what you want and put it out there, put that into the universe and take inspired action to make that come true? Um, the next one P is for play. I feel like we forget how to play. And wouldn't life be so much more fun if we played and remembered like when we were kids? What did we like to do? What brought us joy? Um, I know we have lots of responsibilities as adults. We've got jobs, we've got kids, we've got a house to run, you know, pets. Um, but I think that stopping to play and figure out actually, you know, what hobbies can you do? And I think this is coming back a lot. I feel like people are more open to play recently. And the S is surrender. And this one might be the most important of all. Um as a human being, you can only see a small part of the world, your life, what's going on. Um no matter what you believe in, um uh God, the universe, a higher power, but something out there sees the whole picture. And it's easy to get in a spot where if things don't go in our way, we're disappointed, and you can maybe go down a rabbit hole of not so good or healthy ways to cope with it. Um, and lately I've been really trying to honor the things that happen and surrender to the to God and universe. I put out what what I want, I take inspired action, I you know, do do all the steps in the glimpse method, and then at a certain point you need to let go because you likely don't know the path that's gonna get you to what you want. And usually I wanna say you can't even imagine what the world and what God and the universe has planned for you is even better than what you can think of. So surrender is a big one. And um when you do all of these things, I think the goal is equanimity. And I've asked a lot of people, a lot of people haven't heard that word and not sure what it means. So um don't feel bad if you don't. I've just it's definitely a word that I think should be used more often, but it is um just that unshakable part of you where you're okay no matter what, you know you'll be okay. Um it's not about being happy all the time or having you know what do they say, toxic positivity, or um, it's just about knowing who you are and that you deserve peace and that you have peace and that you will always be okay no matter what. So, in a nutshell, that is the the glimpse method. I'm so glad you're here. We're just getting started. I will be sharing in depth views and ways to bring this method into your real life, starting with the letter G next week. Grounding. And um, I look forward to seeing you there. Take care.
