GROUND. LOVE. INSPIRE. MANIFEST. PLAY. SURRENDER. EQUANIMITY
I help women experience what I did — not a new life, but a brand new way of living — no more loops, no more white-knuckling — through breathwork and the GLIMPSE Method, connecting with the Universe, God, the Divine, whatever resonates with you — because you are not alone, and your fairy godmother does exist.
We take a GLIMPSE into different modalities, processes, experiences, concepts all for the sake of a better, fuller more balanced and purposeful life! We dive into Breathwork, Gratitude, Law of Attraction, Visualization, manifestation, you name it, if it brings more peace and love into this world and our lives, we want to know about it!
Megan is a trauma informed breathwork facilitator and is passionate about sharing breathwork with the world and also learning and growing every day in hopes of a better and more loving world! As a once single (for the first 6 years of her child's life) mom of a neurodivergent kiddo, she understands the plight of raising a child that struggles and is still forging her path and learning new ways to support her child, all while living striving for joy, balance and inspiration. Her hope is to help other moms earlier and in their child's life to find tools and practices that focus inward instead of using external forces to numb and relax - like scrolling for quick dopamine, comparing on social media, the nightly wine.
There is a better way!! Come join us!!! And you may want to do more than just GLIMPSE!!!

What if seven words could completely change the way you move through your life?
Have you ever had a moment where something just cracked you open and lit you up? That’s inspiration — and it’s more than just a good feeling. In this episode, Megan breaks down the third pillar of the GLIMPSE Method: I for Inspire.
You’ll learn what inspiration actually is (hint: it literally means to breathe in a purpose), why hopelessness is its opposite, and how your nervous system has to be ready to receive it — which is exactly why Grounding and Love come first in the GLIMPSE Method.
Megan introduces the concept of glimmers vs. triggers — and why your triggers are actually data you can reverse-engineer into inspiration. She shares her own winding inspiration journey: from a book on food as medicine, to Mel Robbins, to biohacking, to breathwork, to Kabbalah, to faith — and how all of those dots connected into the GLIMPSE Method at age 51.
You’ll also learn how to build your own inspiration menu — nature, challenges, other people’s stories, mentors, causes, and passion — and why inspiration without action is just a fleeting feeling. Spoiler: next week’s episode on Manifestation is where we put it all into motion.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, hopeless, or just ready for something more — this episode is your permission slip to get lit up.

Hey there, it's Megan from the Glimpse Method podcast. I am here to talk about inspire the eye in the Glimps Method. Have you ever had a moment where something just lit you up? Where like a conversation or um maybe a speaker or a song just like cracked you open and um lit you up in a way that you felt really like good and buzzy. That is inspiration. Um so we covered uh grounding, the G of Glimpse and the L, love and gratitude. And now we are at the third pillar, inspiration. So what is inspiration really? It literally means to inspire, to breathe in. So breathing in an idea or a purpose or a feeling. Um it can so breathing that in and then seeing what hits for you. Inspiration is like an inner light that reveals things about ourselves that maybe we didn't know or wasn't right there on the surface, but it kind of um awakes something in us. Um, inspiration is a catalyst for change. So if something inspires you, it's really important to move into action with that, or else it's just kind of like there, or write it down, remember that feeling, what was happening. Um, inspiration can really raise our level of consciousness, it just like opens things up. If you've ever been inspired by something, and all of a sudden you just feel like this endless possibility. It's like things, ideas and things just build on, and then I could do this and then this, and it's it's almost like it seems endless, and it's really an exciting feeling. Um, the science part of this is inspiration does trigger dopamine in the brain, and that's our reward and pleasure system. So that's why it feels so good, and we want to chase it, we want to, you know, see where it leads us. Um, the opposite of inspiration is hopelessness. So when we are dysregulated and burnt out, and our nervous system is running on overtime, um it's really hard to access, or it may feel impossible. Um that's why in the glimpse method, um beforehand we ground and we uh love ourselves, others, we have gratitude for what we have, and that gets you kind of in a place where you are open for inspiration. Um and inspiration can also help us navigate through different challenges in our life. So if you are facing a challenge, sometimes it you'll you'll hear, I don't know, maybe that's why people like sharing their stories is so powerful because you feel like, oh, I'm not alone. Um you know, this person has gone through this and look at where they are now. So you can take some inspiration from their story and and kind of make it your own, which is exciting. Um you can take that inspiration and look inside as you breathe that in and see how um your system sits with that and what you could do to it doesn't take away your challenges or your you know rough time that you're in, but it could help you build a roadmap to maybe get out on the other side and maybe get out um in an inspiring way that could inspire others, or um, you know, as as we go through challenges um and as we make mistakes and um you know the rough patches of life are really kind of building us up. Um, I've heard this a lot recently in my studies of of things like I love um Kabbalah. Um, I am Christian, but um Kabbalah, the Jewish religion is is just so beautiful, but they talk a lot about you being a vessel and um when challenges come and and well in your vessel can only hold so much, you know, and you're sort of in charge of making your vessel big enough um to hold all that you desire. So when you are going through a challenge, um you can think of that as you know, your vessel is actually growing. So it's like a growing pain. So it's kind of a beautiful way to think about a challenge. So as you get through that challenge, your vessel becomes bigger and it allows you to hold more uh positive, more things that you desire in life, and um that is a really beautiful, beautiful thing. So as I was researching this topic, I came across, I can't remember where I came across it, but they talked about you know triggers. Everybody, that's like a big word, like you're triggering me, or um, but um, we've all heard trigger triggers, but have we heard of glimmers? So they talked about um glimmers versus triggers. So um, and I believe by no means are any of either of them negative. So glimmers, obviously, things that hit you, make you feel good, make you feel lit up, um, you know, chase those things, those are amazing. That is good data, and um, you know, the kind of the easy way to find inspiration, but your triggers also are that is data as well. And if you are triggered by something, do not ignore that, do not try to dismiss that feeling because that can often be like reverse-engineered into inspiration, into a gloomer. So if something's bothering you or if somebody's bothering you, or if you know, really dissect that, don't overthink it, but you know, think about why that's triggering you, what in you know, your life, your past, what's going on now. Um just why you're being triggered, and figure out if you can kind of reverse engineer that into a glimmer, and to some something positive, you know, to deal with that negative, um, negative feedback and um and come out on the other side. So some things that um I just want to talk about, some things that inspire me or have inspired me in the past. I mentioned, you know, I've been developing this method, the glimpse method over the past year. It started, um, well, I like to say it started with my breathwork journey, but it actually really started with a book on I think it was like Eat to Beat Disease, and by William Lee, who's amazing. Seems like a really sweet guy. Anyway, so I read that, and then somehow I got turned on to the biohacking kind of that's how I started listening to podcasts. So I was inspired by that book, Eat to Beat Disease. Somehow, through that, I can't exactly remember the connection, but I I think I heard William Lee on like Mel Robbins. Yes, that's what that's what I learned. I heard him on Mel Robbins, and then I read his book, and then I must have been introduced to I think it was like Gary Brecca and um some and he's like a biohacker anyway. He's into like cold plunging and all that, and so then I got introduced to Wim Hof, who uh I read his book. I read the book Breathe by James Nestor, and those books inspired me to really look at breath and the cold plunging, and so I practice cold plunging, I love it, and that slowly, and then the book breathe and my daughter's challenges. I was looking for different types of um just like alternative to talk therapy because I felt like we were at a standstill, and so I found breath work, and then slowly, or not slowly, like a week or two later, I was invited to a breathwork session, and at the end of that breathwork session, she um offered a good deal on her certification program, and the next thing I know, I'm starting a breathwork uh certification. And then as I went through that, um I got introduced to Kathy Heller, who's very she's a she um teaches Kabbalah pretty much, and um just a way of life that feels good. And I guess I never really thought that you could live that way. I just thought, okay, you gotta get like a good job and make a lot of money and you know try to have work-life balance, whatever that is, and um, you know, try to get a job that inspires you somewhat, which brought me to healthcare. I hope this is not too babbly, but brought me into healthcare, and you know, I find that work really re rewarding, but then I also um took it a step further. I saw all these people, and I still do. I work in an ER. I see a lot of people that haven't taken care of themselves, haven't, you know, I feel like the majority of them could have used kind of this journey or this method earlier in life. And I would have loved to have learned it earlier. So when my daughter was really young, I could have been a more balanced, more um, I guess, even keeled, um, a little bit more of an inspiring mom. But I do try not to feel guilt about that because my journey is my journey and it's meant to be that way. So anyway, my first thought with this glimpse method was to reach moms before their kids, you know, are too old, like mine, where you know, you have a little bit of regret and wish you would have, you know, gotten sober and started teaching them that life can feel good, and um, you know, not telling them to just fit in and and um you know all of that stuff, but then um I feel so inspired at age 51 to really live my life. I've never felt so excited, so I want to share it with everybody. So um anyway, um as I talk about inspiration, so you can see the little things that inspired me along the way, you know, it's a book or somebody's you know method or um somebody's outlook on life, um, re you know, religion. Um I'm also being called to um have a closer relationship with my creator and um with God. That's what I believe. Um, and that's starting to be part of my journey now, too, which feels really good. Um, and there are a few people that I started to listen to, Stephanie Gass. Um, she runs a podcast called God Led Business, and she's really inspiring. Um, and another gal I just started following, Kelsey Wickenhauser. She does Kingdom Fit Mom. So um it's just like uh I don't want to say weight loss, but you know, I've struggled with my weight my whole life. And um it's like I'm at a spot now where I I mean I'm 51. I I don't care that much, but then I kind of do care. So it goes, it goes on enough. But um, so she runs uh podcast in a group, she has a boot camp coming up that I'm gonna partake in, but it's it's just meant to bring you closer to God, closer to your creator, living a more God-led life. Um and that is really inspiring to me right now. So that is another way that I am feeling inspired. And you know, um another thing that inspires me is getting out and hiking with my dog or going to the dog park, um, going on a walk, just getting out, breathing in that fresh air, uh, being around trees. I just love being in the forest. Like I love it. So just being on a dirt trail in the forest is so inspiring to me. And sometimes I'll listen to some yacht rock as I'm hiking. Sometimes I'll listen to a podcast, but sometimes it's just the quiet and it's just beautiful. And you can have inspiration and thoughts just from you know that that time out in nature. So that is another amazing way that I have been inspired recently. So I want you all to think about what inspires you. What have you what has inspired you in the past week, maybe has anything? Um, and what could you do to get inspired? Because it is so amazing and it's easy. It's it's going for a walk, it's you know, getting out in nature, it's finding um teachers, mentors, books, podcasts that are of interest to you. Um it is challenges. So if something, if you're being challenged right now, you know, really dissect that challenge, what's going on? Is there, you know, somebody else that you know that has gone through something similar? Um, is there, you know, somebody that shares a podcast on that topic? I I bet you they do because there's podcasts about everything out there. Um I you could be inspired by your own health journey um or a purpose bigger than yourself, you know, maybe a volunteer um thing. I know some things that inspire me to, and and what I hope to, as I start to earn money, more money, I hope to give to these um these causes. I'm really and I don't know, it maybe sounds weird to be inspired, but I'm my attention is brought to I guess three major um causes. One is the indigenous women missing and murdered, um, and just like disappearing. And people I don't want to say not caring, but I just feel like the whole just that whole um uh I don't know how to explain it. I don't wanna be sounding like I'm talking down about their culture, but there's something going on there and um there are ways that I think people can help. I know there's a new um I haven't brought myself to watch it yet, but I probably will. It's gonna be really sad, but it's I think it's like the missing women of Alaska. Um another um cause uh for me is just human trafficking, which is so sad, especially um sex trafficking, um, and just horrible that that goes on. Um, and then of course pets because I'm obsessed. And oh my gosh, I have been super inspired by okay, I have to look it up to share with you guys, but I think it's called Wild Ranch. Um and Wild Heart Ranch, they're in Oklahoma. The founder, Annette, is I freaking love that woman. She just I just love listening to her talk, and she is taking care of eagles and bunnies and deer and fox and baby beavers and um ducks and just anything. And I will admit I maybe spent a little too much time watching her like feed an eagle, or like, but it is so amazing what the work they're doing, and um I am really inspired by it. So um, and I don't exactly feel bad about spending a little bit of time on social media watching her, and I would love to be able to give them some money or um, you know, even go help at some point, but um yeah, so finding a cause or purpose bigger than yourself, and then passion, like the things you can't stop thinking about. What are you you know, has there been something that has been a theme through your life that you're really passionate about, passionate about? Um and knowing that it's like never too late. I mean, I'm 51 and I'm like so excited for life, and um there's so much time left, there's so many people out there that could benefit. Um and I just think that is really inspiring. So, you know, starting I guess my fourth career, which I swore after my healthcare schooling, I said I would never go back. And I I mean I did a six-month certification program. It was actually quite fun and quite beneficial to me. It didn't feel like um x-ray school, which was hard, and um, or my MBA, which was hard. Um, but you know, just keep learning, you don't have to go to school, but there's just so much out there that's good. There's so much out there that's bad too. So try not to spend your time, you know, getting those dopamine hits on people's reels or or whatever, find inspiring people and pages to follow and um and then bring it into action, you know. Once you figure out what inspires you, um, that's great. And it probably makes you feel great. But if you don't find a way to move into action with that, um then it's just kind of a fleeting thought, a fleeting good feeling. Um and we are gonna talk about um, so the next letter is M Manifestation, and that is gonna be a fun episode, okay? Manifestation is so fun, and um that will help you put inspiration into action. So the glimpse method is about integration. So it's identifying the steps that I have taken and I believe are not only necessary but fun and beneficial to moving through and getting out on the end in equanimity, having a peace inside of you, and um being able to be an inspiration to yourself and to others. So trying new things and taking chances, um inspiration will give you the courage to begin those. And also know, like um thing, you know, it may feel hard, it may feel challenging, it may feel scary, but try your best to embrace those feelings and give yourself grace and allow yourself to fumble and make mistakes and do things messy, and you know, that's the only way you learn, it's the only way you grow your vessel, and no nobody knows and does everything perfectly. How boring would that be? So um give yourself some grace and and make it fun, make it exciting. Um and again, I'm just gonna ask you is there anything that's inspired you lately? Maybe do a do a quick um brainstorm or a little exercise, um, taking some deep breaths and just kind of reviewing your past week. And is there like one small action you could take to um take that inspiration just a little bit further? So um so um just to recap the opposite of inspiration is hopelessness. And if you are there, don't worry. A lot of people have been there, I've been there. Um take small steps to get inspired, listen to a podcast, you know, type in hopelessness, type in I'm feeling stuck in life. Um, you know, type in your age, type in a circumstance so you feel um, you know, uh just take a small step to find something that inspires you. Uh go for a walk, you know, it doesn't even have to be long, just maybe around the block. Um maybe go to a dog park, even if you don't have a dog, if you love dogs, and just walk around there. It will be so amazing. Nobody will know you don't have a dog. My dog barely stays with me. He comes running back to me sometimes, but just um, you know, just do something great and then get ready for next week when we talk about manifest because it's gonna be super fun, and I'll have some fun ideas for you guys to um bring manifesting into your life. Uh, thank you so much for listening. I appreciate each and every one of you. I would love for you to reach out to me and just tell me what you think so far. Um, let me know if you want me to talk about a certain topic or any questions you might have. Um any guests you might, you know, maybe you want to be a guest. I don't know. I'm I've got my first guest interview in about an hour. I'm super excited, and um I'll be excited to share that uh that episode soon. So, all right, my loves. You guys get out there, get inspired, and take action because you've only got this one life. Okay, love you.
