The GLIMPSE Method: Because Life is Supposed to Feel Good & Joy is Your Birthright.
GROUND. LOVE. INSPIRE. MANIFEST. PLAY. SURRENDER. EQUANIMITY
I help women experience what I did — not a new life, but a brand new way of living — no more loops, no more white-knuckling — through breathwork and the GLIMPSE Method, connecting with the Universe, God, the Divine, whatever resonates with you — because you are not alone, and your fairy godmother does exist.
We take a GLIMPSE into different modalities, processes, experiences, concepts all for the sake of a better, fuller more balanced and purposeful life! We dive into Breathwork, Gratitude, Law of Attraction, Visualization, manifestation, you name it, if it brings more peace and love into this world and our lives, we want to know about it!
Megan is a trauma informed breathwork facilitator and is passionate about sharing breathwork with the world and also learning and growing every day in hopes of a better and more loving world! As a once single (for the first 6 years of her child's life) mom of a neurodivergent kiddo, she understands the plight of raising a child that struggles and is still forging her path and learning new ways to support her child, all while living striving for joy, balance and inspiration. Her hope is to help other moms earlier and in their child's life to find tools and practices that focus inward instead of using external forces to numb and relax - like scrolling for quick dopamine, comparing on social media, the nightly wine.
There is a better way!! Come join us!!! And you may want to do more than just GLIMPSE!!!

E is for Equanimity: The Goal the Whole GLIMPSE Method Has Been Building Toward
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We made it to E — and it’s a big one. Equanimity is a word you might not have heard much before, but once you understand what it means, it changes everything. In this episode, Megan breaks down what equanimity really is (hint: it’s not about being numb or checked out), why it’s the ultimate destination of the GLIMPSE Method, and — most importantly — why you can’t just wake up one day and have it without doing the work.
Using the relatable lens of a weight loss journey, Megan walks back through every letter of GLIMPSE — G through S — and shows how each practice has been quietly building your capacity for equanimity all along. Plus, she shares a real story about a funk she couldn’t shake, what she did about it, and the everyday tools that bring her back to herself (yes, including Spike and 90s British pop).
In this episode:
• What equanimity actually means and why it matters
• The weight loss analogy that makes the GLIMPSE Method click
• A full walkthrough of G through S and what each letter was building
• Why equanimity isn’t a destination you arrive at once — it’s a practice you maintain
• A real story about waking up in a funk and using the tools to get out
• Simple, accessible ways to come back to yourself on hard days

Hi guys, it's Megan. I am here. We made it. Oh my gosh, we're at the E of the glimpse method. I am so happy to be here sharing this with you. Um, so equanimity. What the heck is equanimity? It's not a word that is used very often, um, but I feel like maybe it's gonna be coming up there because it is such a great word and just such it has such a great meaning. So um I only heard of this word in the past year. I think I've probably shared that, but basically what it means, um, and what it means to me is having that inner peace with yourself, having that calm, that um, and almost more than peace, it's like I'm okay, I'm gonna be okay. And um, no matter what's going on around you. So um you hear about people like um at Auschwitz. I know this is a sad example, but you know, people in that have been, you know, prisoners of war and the way that they survive um can often be um likened to equanimity. I wasn't really gonna go there with that, with that um sad example, but it it just came to me like um you know, that is like in the most extreme way. Um it is um it is a destination, it's a way of being, um, but it's like this inner knowing that you're gonna be okay. And um I also want to compare it to something that might be more familiar to you, or compare the glimpse method to um something that might be more familiar to you, like uh weight loss journey. So um, you know, you enter a weight loss program, um, and once you hit your goal weight, you don't stop eating well and doing all the things that got you there, right? You um you learn what fuels your body, you learn about food, you learn about what um right now I'm actually just diving into the Daniel plan. Um, not trying to be overly religious with you here, but um, it talks about just real food um and you know really getting back to appreciating real food because when you think about it, this could be a whole nother, this could be a whole podcast topic. It probably is, but um, you know, a lot of Americans um and other countries too, but they we eat foods from a factory, which is really, really sad. And they're actually like making meat in factories now, too, which is disgusting. So, anyway, back to equanimity and um comparing it to a weight loss journey. So, you know, you're putting in the work, you're learning about the food, what fuels your body, what doesn't, uh you figure out what movement works for you, and you know, it's just kind of a trial and error. And then um eventually, you know, if things go well, you hit your goal weight, but you don't just stop there, like, oh, I'm here, okay, I'm gonna just stop. Um, most programs have a maintenance period, so it's um it's a or a phase where you're learning how to live there, and the glimpse method is the same exact way. So you learn each piece and you practice it over time, and it actually starts becoming second nature, and actually it's really, really fun. I mean, you can carve out time for yourself to do the work, and I hate to say work because it is just a really a way of life, and that's kind of the same with like a weight loss journey, like it's just like a way of life, a way of you know, they say you shouldn't really be going on diets anymore, you know, it's just a way, a healthy way of living. Um, and so that is kind of my comparison there to understand um what the glimpse method uh kind of does. So I want to go back with you and just kind of go over what we've been covering the past several weeks, weeks as I've walked you through the glimpse method. So the G is for grounding, and you know, honestly, there's so many ways to ground yourself. Um, I'll just name a few that I've talked about. Um, one is walking barefoot in nature, but actually, even just touching nature is really good, or even being out in nature. Um, breath work is a really good way to do that. Um whatever brings you back into your body for me personally. It is um, you know, I I try to do my morning practice every morning, and that includes a cold plunge, um, followed by a little bit of Bible study. And um I'm doing an app that I really like that's kind of bringing me through just different things every morning. So it has like a morning meditation prayer and then like a gospel of the day, and it's just a nice way. And then I also am just kind of going through the Bible. I think I talked about that before. So that's some things that make me feel grounded and settles me. Um, and you just find what works for you. Um, the L is for love and gratitude, and this is about making yourself and your needs, your wants, and your desires. So making them a priority because uh nobody else will. So um, and one of the most powerful ways to move toward what you want to start with is gratitude for what you already have. So um that I don't know if that sentence really made sense there. What I'm saying is um, so with love and gratitude, you want to love yourself. I have these notes here. Sorry to keep me on track because I feel like and I just kind of sometimes when I have notes, um it's not the best. I kind of like to go off the cuff. And I was just telling Nate, I was like, Nate, we need to like, I think I need you to like um ed learn how to edit podcasts because I think I could probably do it, but I just I don't know, that stuff is just tedious for me. So I don't know, maybe he'll edit this all out. Maybe he'll start with this episode. Um but okay, so L, let's start over. L for love and gratitude. Um, so loving yourself, honoring yourself and your desires first, very first. That is not selfish, okay. That is what we need to do to live a purposeful and true life, and that is what we need to do to be available for those that rely on us. Um, a really good way to um, and and and gratitude is part of this too. So, a really good way to honor yourself and to bring more blessings to yourself and your family is to have gratitude. So, start a gratitude practice because the universe, God, is not gonna give you anything more if you're not already appreciative for what you have. So, um, and the more you get into this gratitude practice, the more it um one book that really helped me was The Magic. Now, it's kind of a lot of work, like you have to commit to like a 30-day thing and you're doing things every day, like every morning, and this is just one part of it. You're writing down 10 things that you are thankful for, and I mean it's just things like, oh, my bathrobe. I'm thankful for that, or you know, um my toaster, because I love sourdough toast in the morning, or you know, it's just like um it really helps you to um just be grateful for things that you might not have realized, how grateful you are for them. And sometimes um, like every day, I I'm just um petting my dog right now. I just am so grateful for my spike and I say it to him every day. Um, and I mean, just like we live in a house with a lot of trees around, and when I'm laying in bed looking out my window, I pretend like I'm in a forest because we want like land with trees and stuff, but I mean I'm I can see my neighbor's house, but not when I'm laying down on my bed, and I just I'm so thankful for that view. So just finding things that you can be grateful for. Um and then inspiring or inspire I. This one's fun. You gotta figure out what lights you up. Um, and a lot of times we're just living and rushing around and doing our thing and doing things for everybody else that we don't stop to think. Like, what inspires us until something does? So, like I know with me it kind of started with um listening to a podcast and then you know, getting a book, and then listening to other podcasts, and doing a breath work and um things like that just started to pop up, and and I just was going from one thing to the next, and it was just like I was never bored. I've never been bored since like my kind of I guess it's maybe a spiritual awakening. I don't know. It sounds that sounds a little um official and serious, but it's it's really I mean, I guess it is serious, but it's fun. Um so finding what inspires you and um and then doing that, you know, and doing you know, it just it leads from there. It's just like a starting point. It's like dominoes, it's just everything just starts happening for you. Um and then M Manifest. So once you know what you desire and and kind of what you want, um you can manifest it. And manifesting uh is it kind of involves a lot of steps within it, but like gratitude is one step within it, but you um basically with manifesting is you may want something or a situation or a new job or something, and what you do to manifest it is you really um break down why you want that thing. And it usually breaks down to like the way it's gonna make you feel. And so inside our glimpse program, we we can find um I I teach a lot of different fun ways to manifest and to to kind of um figure out what works for you, and I promise that you will find something that actually connects with you in this. If it sounds way out there, it's really not. Um and then the P is for play, so just try things, don't be afraid to fail, because failing is like you can't even really fail, you know, when you think about it, it's just information. So you're like getting information, and if something works out, then you can just celebrate the heck out of it. Um, and you know, playing is trying new things, is like um if somebody asks you to do something, you know, like, hey, we should run this 5k, and you're like, I'm not a freaking runner, hey, maybe you would maybe doing a couch to 5k would be like super fun and inspiring for you, you know. Try it out. If not, if your legs feel like concrete, you know, after a couple weeks into it, then maybe not. But just um don't stop playing because you're an adult. That's stupid. Playing is fun. So um, and then S is for surrender, and this is a big one. I talked about it last week. Instead of pushing and controlling and white knuckling in our lives, um at some point we really re we really need to release it to surrender it to the universe, to God, whatever resonates with you. Um and it's not giving up on your dream by any means, it's it's the contrary. Uh it means uh that you've done what you can and now you're trusting in the process. And remember, you can only see like one percent of what is actually going on. Um the universe and God can see the whole picture, and your needs and wants and desires are probably gonna be met in ways that you could never imagine, and better, and it may even be better than you could ever imagine. So surrendering is a good thing. So um back to equanimity. And here's the thing I really want you to know. You don't just wake up one day and arrive at equanimity and never have to do the work again. It's just like that goal away, like you don't hit it and you just stop doing everything that you've learned. Um the practices don't ever go away, they become easier, they become more fun. I can guarantee that. Um the difference over time is that yeah, they they just get easier and it's more fun, and your life becomes more fun and it becomes so much fun that you start a freaking podcast and you start a school community and you want to share it with everybody. Just kidding. Not everybody wants to do that. I think that's my soul's purpose right now, but um it's just it's really great. Um, so I just wanted to share something with you that happened a few weeks ago. I woke up and and I often wake up and I'm just kind of like, I don't know if that's everybody. You just kind of like I don't wake up and I'm like, yay, let's start the day. Like I actually have to like do things to um, you know, get myself going and feeling good. And uh when I woke up this particular day, I just kind of felt like I was in this funk, and I was like, okay, I have things I can do. So I went, I did my cold plunge, I did my little Bible study. I still I was feeling better, definitely better. And then I, but not not, I hadn't shaken it yet. And I and the thing is I couldn't really even pinpoint what it was. Um so then, you know, it's probably like perimenopause, you guys. That's everywhere. Everybody's telling me I need to be on hormones, but I can't be. Um, that's a story for another time. But and then I took Spike to the dog park, and when I got back, I was feeling even better, but I wanted some connection, so I reached out to a friend um that I met in my breathwork certification program, and we did some breathing together. Um we did a breath work session um over Zoom, and it was super great. So um, you know, some days, and and that's the thing, that's for me. That's this is these are the things that work for me for you. That's gonna be the fun of it, just covering what's gonna work for you. You know, you'll have this list of things that you can just do um to get out of your funk, even like my vibration plate that I use. Sometimes if I don't have the energy to do something else, or if my plunge is, I don't know, not cold enough or something, maybe I'll hop on that. Um or if like I had to go to work that day, you know. I still try to get my plunge and my um Bible study in, but sometimes I don't, sometimes I need more sleep, um, especially when I'm doing my back-to-back 12-hour shifts at the hospital. So I will, you know, possibly just take Spike around the block before I go to work. And oh my god, he loves it. But it's like takes 10 minutes, and then um when I get to work, hopefully I'll be a little bit early. Usually I am about 20 minutes early, or if there's like an accident, then I'm like 20 minutes late. But um either way, I try to do like a quick breathwork session in my car, or I'll just like blast British pop from the 90s and or Yacht Rock and just like sing my face off in my car on the way home. So that is um some of the stuff that I do to um keep equanimity in my life. Now, um, like I said, these are things I do. The fun part is you'll find what you do, so or what you can do. So that is equanimity. That is the ultimate goal of the glimpse method. But here's what I absolutely love about it. The fun part is the journey, actually, and I feel like that is for everything. I feel like we get lost sometimes and we white knuckle and we want the goal, and we and then we achieve the goal, and then we're just like, what? Um, the journey is where it's at, people. So um, and that's what I teach in Glimpse. And um it's the grounding, the love and gratitude, the inspiration, the manifesting, the play, the surrender, all of it working together on leading you here. So I've totally loved sharing this with you, and hopefully Nate will do a little editing. But if he doesn't, sorry guys, um maybe that's for later in my podcast um career where I do the editing. But um, so yes, I would love to hear from you. Send me a message. What gets you out of a funk? What are some of the things that um bring you back to yourself? I want to know. And if you want, share this with somebody, even if you just want to laugh at me. No, I'm just kidding. Um, write a review, um, give me some stars, whatever you think this deserves. And um it would be just great, it would help me. And um next week I will I will be talking to you about affirmations. I cannot wait. I did this practice of affirmations yesterday, or was it today? Oh my gosh, I'm losing track. No, I think it was yesterday. Yes, it was yesterday. Um, anyway, and it gave me this idea. So I have a school community, and um I am showing up there once a week doing breathwork. In fact, I just before I did this episode, I literally did my own breathwork session. Is that freaking weird? Like, I just like it's I have the replays on my school community, and I was like, I'm gonna do the surrender um because I need it, and it was actually really good. I like the music I pick. I'm pretty music forward on my sessions. Um anyway, if you'd like to try it out, the glimpse uh collective is on school, and I'm only charging 27 right now. I'm probably in the next month gonna uh raise that to like a monthly, but um not for the people that are original founders. So if you come into my glimpse in May, it'll only be 27 for life, and I'm gonna do all kinds of fun stuff there. I I had the idea to do some affirmation work too, so I might have some uh positive affirmation um little workshop things, little practices um that I lead. I'll do those live and then again they'll be available, or maybe I won't do them live. I don't know. I haven't decided yet, but anyway, thanks for tuning in and we will see you next time.
