CJ Mateo

CJ Mateo (aka “BMI Too High”) is the son of Filipino immigrants and a true preacher’s kid — he grew up immersed in ministry alongside his parents and sister, with a father who was both a bi-vocational pastor and church planter. That foundation never left him. CJ went on to serve on staff at a large church as a project manager, and he and his wife have spent their lives leading and serving in various capacities at their local church.

He fell in love with her the first time he heard her sing. They now share a full house with three wonderful kids and two dogs named Butter and Noodle.

A man of many talents, CJ is a founding member of a local dance crew, has taught dance for years, and but yet has not taught Steve how to moonwalk.

By day, CJ works in the field of Workers’ Compensation — and he’s still not entirely sure how he ended up doing a podcast. But here he is.
