Jonathan Sanford

Jonathan Sanford is a minister, teacher, broadcaster, and communicator who is passionate about helping people see the power, clarity, and authority of God’s Word. He serves with the Watters Road Church of Christ, where he is involved in preaching, teaching, and equipping Christians to grow deeper in their faith and understanding of Scripture.


Outside of ministry, Jonathan is also a professional public address announcer. He serves as the PA announcer for Texas Longhorns football and the Houston Rockets, bringing energy and enthusiasm to some of the largest stages in sports.


Whether in the pulpit, behind a microphone, or at home with his wife (Jennifer), five children, and two dogs, Jonathan’s greatest passion is helping people encounter the truth of Scripture and see why—now more than ever—Scripture Matters.

Cliff Thompson

Cliff  began his career in the oil and gas industry with a petroleum inspection company after college. He chaired committees for the American Petroleum Institute (API), authored the first Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) document for the petroleum/petrochemical profession, and co-authored PROM, a program used to reconcile petroleum transfers between buyers. He later served as IT Manager for the Americas, overseeing operations across Canada, the United States, and Latin America.


In 1999, Cliff joined NASA at Johnson Space Center in Houston as Firewall Engineer, overseeing IT security access for JSC, White Sands Test Facility, and Ellington Field. He received the Space Flight Awareness Honoree award and two commendations from the Vice President before retiring in December 2025.


Cliff and his wife of 49 years, Edwina, have one son, Trey, three granddaughters, and he serves as a shepherd at the Watters Road Church of Christ in Pasadena, Texas.

Richard Tew

His experience in media is varied and spans some 17 years.  The mediums he has published work for include print, internet, radio broadcast and podcasting.  Coverage included local events, police beat stories, politics (city council, city planning), sports and breaking news.


Currently, he is the editor of space news and technology with a focus on NASA for The Post Newspaper located in Galveston County, TX. He publishes a daily radio segment called “Our Daily Bread: A Daily Scripture and Reflection, for 920 AM KYST in the Houston/Galveston radio market.  He is also finishing his first book called "Our Daily Bread: Scriptures And Reflections For Life!"


In addition, Richard produces news, faith and a cultural dance (Irish) podcasts.  Recently, he was asked and took the new role of producer for “Scripture Matters,” a weekly podcast from the Watters Road church of Christ in Pasadena, TX.
