Some words on grit inspired by the lack of it I am seeing right now.
Today we're talking about grit. Grit means to have firmness of mind or spirit, unyielding courage in the face of hardship or danger. This word came up this week because I used it in a video saying that entrepreneurs without grit have a hobby. I am not shitting on hobbies. I love hobbies. I have hobbies, but I think it's important to acknowledge that if you don't have grit, you have a hobby because grit, having unyielding courage to get through the hard parts in your business are what separates you within entrepreneurship. We're seeing this in real time with the use of artificial intelligence to create virtual assets and strategies. And we're seeing entrepreneurs use the easy way. It does not mean you cannot use these tools, but we're seeing in real time pick the easy way rather than working through the hard parts of entrepreneurship, which is getting stuck and walking away from a problem for a day or two. I'm not glorifying the struggle. I'm not saying that you have to struggle to be successful, but I'm watching in real time who has grit and who doesn't. Because when you do not have grit and you do not have the courage to work through the hard thing without using AI, you skip a lot of the personal development that comes from working through a hard thing. So your weekly goal is to think about moments where you have grit and do not within your business and where you can work to improve that tolerance because as you grow, things get harder. As you continue, things will get hard. And that that is that's something you need. You need unyielding courage in the face of hardship and danger.
