Good afternoon, Sunshine, and welcome back to the Eminate Love Podcast. Today we're going to talk about your gifts. Okay? This is going to be a fun one. Everyone has a gift. I really believe that. And if you don't, I hope you do by the end of today. By the end of this episode. Because my gift is texture. Okay, and I know you're thinking, oh, well, that's not the most amazing gift. But let me tell you, it is. Oh, yes, it is. I mean, I have two gifts. If I had to, if I had to narrow it to two things, I would say texture and sound. Okay. I love touching things that have texture. And even if something has no texture, I still will probably enjoy touching it at some point. I don't know if it's because as a child, for about 20 years of my life, I was always told, don't touch that. And I'm not sure if it's the fact that I can touch anything I want now. And I can go to any store and touch anything I want, although it's not socially encouraged to always touch things. I love the sensation of touch. And I think it's one of the greatest gifts that I have. And I'm so grateful for this. And I hope that you're grateful for your ability to touch too. And your your perhaps even your gift of touch. I call mine a gift of touch because I've been told by several people that it is one of my gifts to be in my body in this moment, right now, and to notice everything about it that I possibly could notice. That's one of my gifts. And I want to share it with you because it helps me to be happy. And helps me to be happier. And sometimes I know some of you are thinking, you know what, I hate my body, or I don't want to be in my body. That's the last place I want to be. Do you know what's happened to me when I've been in my body? I don't want to be there. And you know what? That's a real thing. That's a real experience, that's a real feeling, that's something that, you know, requires a little bit of attention, right? You know, if you have that kind of visceral response, there's something going on with your body that you need to listen to. Because there have been times in my life where I haven't enjoyed being in my body as much. And it's it's a natural response to some of the hard things that we go through as humans, right? Some of the painful things we experience make it a little bit harder to be in our bodies and we don't want to be there, right? But I can honestly say that it's a process, okay? Like everything in Eminate Love, we claim our visibility here, everyone. All of us are claiming a little piece of our visibility in this moment. I'm claiming a piece of it by actually using my voice and projecting it into the universe. You're using your visibility by showing up and hearing it and and and and responding to it however you see fit. You can write a review, you could respond to me in an email, you could do nothing but simply enjoy the experience. But it's all about how we show up for it and how we use it. So back to your gifts. Everyone that came here today has a gift, and I'm dying to know what some of your gifts are. So I'd love to hear it if you'd love it to share it with me. Um, share it in the comments or or write to me, emily at eminatelove.org. I would love to know what some of your gifts are because everybody has them. And it may not be totally apparent to you what your gifts are, but I guarantee you, you have it. And maybe one of your gifts is to try something new. Maybe your gift is to use kind words for others because there's a lot of you out there that are really good at telling other people, good job, or that was great, but you're not so good about doing it to yourself, right? I think we all struggle with giving ourselves the love and encouragement that we so freely give other people, right? So our gifts are an important thing, and our gifts are something that if we really truly understand our gifts, that we can use them. And it could be the one thing that could help us find a way to accomplish something new. You heard that right. Our gifts are given to us, I believe, to help us find a different way of maybe doing something. Not doing it the same way as everybody else, not doing it just to do it, or to check a box, or to to appear a certain way, right? Like if you're gonna spend time doing something, do it your way, right? And and that's the quote of the week, I'd like to say, is I might do it different, but I will find a way. Okay? Through our individual paths that aren't linear, right? Because change is not linear. The change that we seek and we crave and the differences that we crave is it's not linear. It's it's a variety of things, right? Sometimes we have wings that we strap on, sometimes we have a tail and we we swim through the ocean. And sometimes it becomes necessary to walk or to crawl or to roll through the situation. And we don't know what that's gonna look like, but when we're having a tough moment, maybe we're just rolling through it, okay? Pick out that, you know, your favorite action movie. I don't know if it's Indiana Jones. That was one of my favorites growing up. Indiana Jones, he did it all, he could get through anything. There was the rolling motions, the jumping motions. I've never been quite the jumper that I'd like to be, but you know, he was, and um, there are plenty of women in history that have been great jumpers. I'm not one of them, but you can roll. Rolling's a thing, okay? And there's a lot of ways to do stuff in life, and and it might look different for you, but you can still do it, okay? And I can still do it, and and it's gonna look a little bit different if I do it versus if you do it, because we all have our own ways of doing it, we have our own ways of taking up space in this world, and we all take up space in our own ways, and the key is to take up the right space, to be in the right places, taking up the right space because just because you've been doing things one way and been operating a certain way doesn't mean that that's the best way for you or for me, or for any of us, frankly. Maybe it requires a new way of doing things, a new way of experiencing things, and in a new way altogether. So let's navigate that newness together with our gifts, okay? Because there's nothing better than pulling pulling all of our strengths and sharing them together, and then we can move forward, and it's a lot easier. Everything is a lot easier when you have a good friend. In the last week, I was lucky enough to go to a beautiful wedding of a friend's child that was getting married, and it was quite the milestone for me to have a friend who had a child who was old enough to get married and mature enough to get married. So wow, it happened for me. And a friend's child got married, and it was remarkable. It was unlike anything I could have ever known. I didn't know I would have such an emotional response to this situation, and yet I did. And I love this friend, and she means the world to me, and I just know that she was a gift from the universe to me. I just know it. It it was not it was not chance that I happened to live next two doors away from the person who could systematically help me make it through every day of my life at the hardest time of my life up until that point. It was so synchronistic, it was not by chance. And I'm so forever grateful for her as a friend and a neighbor, and I'm I'm just so grateful for the support and the love that the universe is waiting to give us, is going to give us, and the look that it gives us every day, and the abundance of love it gives us, despite the challenges we're facing, despite the unthinkable things that are happening all around us, there's a lot of goodness, there's a lot of gratitude. And I choose to look at the goodness and the gratitude because there's an abundance of that in my life and in those that are around me, and I'm so grateful for that. And I'd love to hear some of the things you're grateful for and some of your abundance. I'd love pictures. Please send your pictures to emily at eminatelove.org. Emily at eminatelove.org. And I'm super excited to hear from all of you, especially those of you in other countries and continents besides the United States. I'm quite touched that people have found me in other countries. I'm honored to be a piece of those countries that I never thought I could ever go to on my own. And I don't know that I can handle that kind of a travel experience, um, being on a plane for that long and going to those places. It's probably outside my scope. But presently, it's outside my scope. And with my present scope, I I don't see myself doing that, but I've done that with my voice, and it's super exciting to see my voice um on the podcast app that I have, and it shows me where people listen to the episodes. And it it's really exciting to see places I've heard of, places I've never heard of, and places I would be honored to go. And all with people that are are looking to find ways to build clarity and move forward. Because that's what this is all about. Emanating love, it's not just about love. It is not definitely not about erotic love or sensual love, although that's you know, probably a piece of it somewhere for everyone, right? It's a component to love that's very important, but it's not something that I address in this podcast. This podcast is about building the clarity that we need together and moving forward. And you do that by starting with yourself and the love that you you give yourself, that you recognize for yourself, and that's how you that's how you can move forward. So I'm excited to hear about your gifts. If you need help finding your gifts, practice touching something new. Okay? Go to the store and start. I challenge you to go to the grocery store and touch one thing on every aisle. Just one thing, maybe even just one thing in the entire store. Touch something new. You don't have to touch something on every aisle, but you could if you wanted to, if you really wanted to live it up. You could touch something on every aisle. But I'm just telling you, I didn't know how soothing it could be to touch a necklace made of little tiny rocks. A little tiny rock necklace. I didn't know how good that could feel. Or to touch a row of rhinestones from the craft store. That is super soothing as well. And if you haven't done it, you should try it. It feels great. And I think that's one of my gifts is to touch something new and to realize the gift and the excitement of touching that something new. And the last thing I'm gonna share with you before I let you go today is one of the most exciting things I've been touching lately is this soft container that I found in like a big five store, a take five, it's something about five in the title. I don't, I've only been there a few times. But they had this container that was made of soft fur, and I bought it from my desk, and now it holds my junk paper, and I love it because it's soft and it's big, and it can carry all the stuff that I haven't had a chance to look at yet, and it soothes me. It's soothing and it solves my storage problem. So, you know, if I always say don't buy anything unless it's gonna serve two purposes solving some sort of clutter problem and soothing you. Okay, because that's what it's all about. You guys got this sunshine. Have a great week, and we'll see you next week.
