Start every morning with these five energizing facial wellness practices to help your skin appear lifted, radiant, and refreshed throughout the day. Hello and welcome everybody. I'm so happy here for this week's facial wellness session. I'm Vineet Kore, your host, and I love sharing these natural holistic beauty rituals that support both inner balance or outer glow. The techniques are so simple, calming, and easy to include in your daily routine, helping you feel confident, revitalized, and connected to your natural beauty. So this week we will be exploring five refreshing practices designed to awaken facial energy, improve circulation, and encourage a healthy, luminous, radiant appearance. So the first one is going to be our facial energy awakening technique. When we wake up, our circulation can be slower, our facial muscles may feel stiff, and the fluid around the eyes and jawline overnight may feel a little bit stuck. So to energize the body, energize the face naturally, we can start gently first by rubbing your palms together rapidly until they feel warm. This not only creates heat and activates energy through the hands, but because you have all the meridians meeting in the palms of your hand, you are actually energizing them as well. And once the palms feel warm, I gently place them over my face and take a slow, deep, calming breath. This is how I connect first thing in the morning, and it is not just connecting with your hands, but it also connecting with your soul, connecting with your intuition. And when I do that, I just try and set my intention for the day, feeling grateful and focusing on the value for that day. Now using the fingertips, begin lightly tapping across your forehead, cheeks, your chin, and your jawline under the eyes, keeping the movements very soft and rhythmic, like a gentle piano. This technique can be done for just a few seconds if you are rushed for time, and it can be taken into a few minutes if you do have a little bit more time. But just try and do this technique for as long as you feel that you feel connected, because this technique, first thing in the morning, really helps with stimulating your blood flow, awakening tired skin, supporting your collagen production, and energizing your facial tissues. Most of all, it makes you feel so good because you feel that you are connecting with your own self. You're taking that time for self-love, for connection, and for just being grateful, which is why I love doing this every morning. As you tap, imagine you are waking up every cell in your face with fresh, vibrant energy. You may even notice your skin beginning to look more alive and refreshed within just a few days of this, and that is amazing. This is also an excellent technique before any makeup application or anything that you put on your face, like cream or anything if you are out in the sun, you need to wear some sunscreen, anything that goes on your face before that. If you try and just get your face to feel a bit more stimulated, allow the blood to flow, awaken the tired skin, and then put any cream or any oil on the skin, it rejuvenates it. The next technique is for the lymphatic drainage glow massage, and this really really helps your facial sculpting. Sometimes puffiness, dullness, and heaviness in the face can be connected to stagnant fluid and tension, which is why our face can be a reflection of what's happening inside our body, a reflection of what's happening emotionally in our life. So it's really lovely to just gently massage your face, gentle massage movements to support the natural drainage and improve the definition, and this will improve your mood as well. So, what I like to do is I like to apply a few drops of just almond oil, organic almond oil, that's my favorite, or a few drops of organic coconut oil, and that's what I like to glide smoothly across my skin. I make my own products which can be some essential oil for that particular month. I do have an ebook in which I have written down all the lovely natural products that I have made all along the different seasons, and I have done this all the way right from childhood when I was little, and at home when I was growing up in India, there was a lot of information given by my relatives, by my parents, and I used to keep a little notebook, and I have tried so many natural techniques on my face, on my skin. I just love them, and now I've managed to put all of them in an ebook which I am about to complete and share next month on my website, my values journal, in that it is all the lovely values that I always connect to it throughout the year, and also the little recipes I have used throughout my life, which have really helped keep my skin glowing, and because they are homemade, I love adding different little things into it, like drops of essential oil, a little bit saffron, um, a little bit of milk, and lots of other little things that I have added into these little paste creams and oils that I have made. So once I apply that on my face, I begin at the center of the chin and slowly sweep outward toward the ears using upward motions. One of the things I had learned when I was very young is whenever I put cream on my jawline on my cheeks, I always use upward motions because if we use downward motions, we actually help gravity in making the skin a bit sag downwards. So whenever I do the massage, it's always on my jawline and my cheeks going in upward motions, which I repeat several times. Then I move to the cheeks, gliding upward and outward around the eyes, using the ring fingers very gently moving from the inner corners outwards. Finally, a massage down the sides of the neck towards the collarbone. This technique can help reduce puffiness, improve circulation, relax facial tension, and create a naturally lifted appearance. Smiling and feeling happy and relaxed also helps relax facial tension because whatever we are feeling inside reflects directly on our face. What's beautiful about this ritual that it's not just about appearance, it's also deeply calming for the nervous system. As you massage your face, you allow yourself to slow down mentally, you allow yourself to connect, and you allow yourself to just basically be in the moment and enjoy. Third technique is the breath work for facial relaxation. This combines breathing and facial relaxation. In my practice, breathing has always been very, very important. I always try and do long, deep breathing. First thing when I wake up in the morning, throughout the day, and also before I sleep. Deep long breathing really, really helps that pranic energy, that life force to go into each and every cell in the body. And then when I exhale, I always make sure it is very long exhale because it's really really important to let go of any negativity. The apana, which is the letting go, is sometimes where we all struggle. So that deep inhale, holding on to that breath, letting that oxygen go all over the body, the mind, the heart, the soul, and then that long deep exhale, which is the apana, the letting go. Because once we can let go and allow the bowl to be empty, that is when we can welcome new pranic energy, new life force, new learning, new day, new beauty into our lives. So the Prana and the Apana, they both work in beautiful harmony. A lot of people hold stress in the jaw, forehead, temples, around the eyes, even without realizing it. And over time that does affect our facial expression, contributing to more tightness and fatigue and more anxiety. So let's release that energy now. Just take a deep inhale through your nose. In your mind for four counts, hold a breath and then gently exhale through the mouth. Again, inhale calmness. Hold try and keep your mind just clear of any thoughts. And exhale tension. Now consciously relax your forehead, your eyebrows, your jaw, and the muscles around your mouth. You can even gently massage the jaw hinges near the ears using circular movements. This practice encourages softness in the face and can instantly make you feel more refreshed, relaxed. When the face relaxes, our natural beauty shines more effortlessly, and our heart glows and we can feel the radiance in our skin. Remember that true radiance cannot be created through force, it's created through balance. So my fourth technique is the cooling eye revival ritual. I always try and keep my eyes cool because eyes sometimes show the first signs of stress, exhaustion, lack of sleep, screen fatigue, so much negative energy nowadays that is thrown at us that our eyes really need to try and keep up. This refreshing ritual helps awaken and soothe the eyes naturally. So I just use cold hands. I just take my hands and just put it underneath my eyes and just gently cool them. I know sometimes people use chilled spoons or chilled cotton pads or just the back of the hands if they're a bit more cooler. It's just about cooling the eyes gently, closing your eyes and breathing deeply, allowing the coolness to calm the delicate muscles around the eyes. Then softly pressing around the brow bone and under eye area using light pressure. This may help reduce the puffiness, soothe tired eyes, refresh the face, and make you feel more glowing and radiant. While doing this, I always try and think of a positive affirmation. I think of the value that I'm following this week. I think something that I have so much to be grateful about, and most importantly, I just give that big smile to myself in my heart because whenever I do that, it makes me feel so much more grateful and happy to face the day. I welcome the new day with calm, confidence, and positive energy. Never underestimating the power of combining self-care with intention. Technique five is a natural facelift activation. This gently engages facial muscles through controlled movements and stretches. So begin by smiling softly, lifting your cheeks upwards, hold for a few seconds and then relax. Next, lifting the eyebrows gently, stretch the neck upward and slightly tilt the chin toward the ceiling. You can also gently press the tongue to the roof of a mouth while elongating the neck. There are so many meridian points at the top of our mouth. Which is why, whenever we are singing some meditational music, some kirtan, some bhajans, we do end up touching the top of our mouth, and that is what generates so much pranic positive energy, life force into our life. That is so, so amazing. These movements help activate facial muscles that are often underused. Over time, regular facial exercises can help improve muscle tone, support firmness, encourage circulation, and enhance overall facial vitality. The key is really consistency and not focusing on perfection. Even ten to fifteen minutes of pranic mindful practice can become such a powerful act of self-care and confidence. And when we can engage in our own self-care and confidence, we can serve our loved ones, our family, and the universe. It all starts from us.
