SPEAKER_00This is a podcast that focuses on crimes and scams where no one physically is harmed. This is a podcast for information and entertainment purposes only. Nothing in this podcast should be taken as legal advice.
SPEAKER_04So listen up and no one gets hurt.
SPEAKER_00You already said that.
SPEAKER_04All right. Well, don't forget to like and subscribe. And in the comments, tell us which scam you'd like us to cover next.
SPEAKER_00Thank you. All right. Well, today we have with us a very special guest. Uh this guy has S in stitches before we even got started today. And it's Mr. Tony.
SPEAKER_01Hey, how you doing?
SPEAKER_00You want to give your uh Instagram?
SPEAKER_01It's at Tony Grams, T-O-N-Y-G-R-A-M-S at Tony Graham's. Nice. I'll follow you back if you ain't weird.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I bet there's gonna be some weirdos following you. All 10 subscribers. Hey subscribers. Um so did you have you done any shows this week? Any anything fun?
SPEAKER_01I did my remix room show that I host uh every Tuesday. I did that when uh oh I did the Hyatt. It was an op open mic, but it's uh Paris Nicole, and she's like a big improv, does like a lot of red carpet interviews for like award shows. So a lot of her shows are kind of even her mics are kind of a big deal. So a lot of people will go, it'll fell out, but I did that one. It was a big at the Hyatt. Okay, the uh Long Beach Hyatt, and that was pretty fun. So she does it like every two Wednesdays. Uh laugh on I forgot what it's called, laugh on something. Oh my bad, my bad. Trying to plug it.
SPEAKER_00Uh did you go to the blend last night?
SPEAKER_04Uh no. I was on daddy duty last night, and I just got back from uh Hawaii, so I was spending some time with the kids.
SPEAKER_00Some some quality time. Nice, yeah. It looked like it was a banger last night.
SPEAKER_04Uh yeah, from what I heard, it was pretty good.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Uh last night I did a show, the producer is Cochino.
SPEAKER_01I've heard that name.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and he had uh, so I was an opener, and then we had Gil, and then uh Gracie Armijo, Marcos Calandrelli. I'm gonna say Calandrelli, I think. He's uh Argentinian. I know. He sounds Italian, but he's Argentinian. And then uh a magician named Wacko. Have you seen him? I don't think so. So he he's he does like magic and comedy.
SPEAKER_02I've seen a few good, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was really he had like a bunch of people come up on stage and then he'd be like tricking them and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_01I've got bought on stage the last I haven't been to Vegas in 10 10 years, 2016. And the last time I went to Vegas, me and my friends got tickets for a random show, and it was a comic uh named Mike Hammer. Because my I had never heard of him. One, he was funny as hell, but he was a magician, and that was the first comedy magician. And out of all the people, he picked me and bought me on stage. And I used to always think, like, that's faking. That's not real. They they talked to him outside. He really was like, he picked it and was like, you, and to this day, I still don't know how he did. And I was part of the trick. Yeah, and I was like, he was really doing like some it was like, okay, that's I still don't even can't, but uh magic and comedy can be fun.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, and I guess he performs at the was it the Magic Castle.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I've heard of the idea.
SPEAKER_00But it's funny because he had a card trick, and then he pulled this girl up on stage. He's like, Okay, here's a marker. He's like, pick a card. He's like, if you don't like it, you can put it back, whatever you want to do. And then he was like, um, write on the card, and he like turns around and she's like writing, and he's like, Okay, give me the card. She wrote on the back of the card, and he's like, he's like, I can, I'm gonna be able to figure out your card immediately. You gotta pick another card. So that was so funny. Yeah, but um, yeah, he was he was hilarious. Uh it was it was very good. I it was like over a hundred people is at the Paramount Elks Lodge. So it was very fun.
SPEAKER_01Big crowds are always fun.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, thank you, Cochino.
SPEAKER_01So they could be scary, but they are like fun too.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, and then I like he Cochino did a probably like 10 minutes of like crowd work, and then I got called up, so I was I was the opener, and um it was funny because I was doing some self-deprecation jokes, and instead of people laughing, their girls in the front, we're like, I like the oohs and ahs a lot. Yeah, that's I felt like it was more like they felt sorry for me, and I was like, no, no, no, it's okay. That's why I'm up here.
SPEAKER_01I find this amusing.
SPEAKER_00I get okay with it.
SPEAKER_01Like I said it. It doesn't hurt anymore.
SPEAKER_00When it happened, not so good, but we build from these things.
SPEAKER_03So we learned funny.
SPEAKER_00Well, so um, since you're our guest today, um, I wanted to pick uh a story or a crime that I thought would be fitting for you. And and the reason I picked it was because you have this great joke about Jaguar the car. Can you just say Jaguar for me? Jaguar. It's so good.
SPEAKER_01It's not a Jaguar, it's Jaguar. You have to put like the mode into like you're like on the wave. 94.7 Jaguar radio. I sound like I should have a GTA channel.
SPEAKER_00You know this what is it called? ASMR where people you have that for just words.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna try. I'll need to start doing those. It's like he'll be eating Cheetos, like looking at the camera, like ASMR. Like, just put that on any video now. It just says ASMR. There's a guy eating Cheetos looking at you.
SPEAKER_03Like what is it? This isn't soothing.
SPEAKER_00Am I the only one that thinks it might be just lazy editing? Like it's the easy come-up now.
SPEAKER_01Because it went from like people like crunching things to like like textures. I remember when it was videos of like blue sand or like like ball or pink orange balls like that disintegrate and just the noise sounded soothing. Then it went to people crunching, and then like people are just eating ice, like looking at you. It's like this is awkward. I don't this isn't soothing.
SPEAKER_00I follow a lot of like people who craft like people crafts and stuff like that, and it's like ASMR. And I'm like, is it ASMR? Or is that you just didn't want to edit out the noise?
SPEAKER_01It's like you hear that, you hear that warm glue?
SPEAKER_00Uh or or it was like they forgot to hit mute and they publish it, and they're like, oh shoot. And they're like ASMR.
SPEAKER_01They're screaming. That's a different kind of ASMR. That's different, buddy.
SPEAKER_00That's funny. Uh yeah, so anyway, so yeah, I was thinking about like Jaguar, right? Or Jaguar. And you know what other cars are named after animals? So you have the Rams, right? You have the Broncos. But you know who's undefeated against the Jaguars, the Rams, and the Broncos? The bears. Not those bears, though. Um, actually, like black bears, brown bears, whirly bears.
SPEAKER_03How'd you start with black bears? Like they commit all the violence in the forest.
SPEAKER_01There's it's statistically proven. They attack first.
SPEAKER_00And I left out the polar bears.
SPEAKER_01They defend themselves.
SPEAKER_00Polar bears polar bears just kill.
SPEAKER_01They just want to be covered in blood in the ice. That's it. That's not violent at all. They're walking around drenched in blood. Poor seals. Defenseless little seals. It's like, and as if you think about it, like uh like black bears and brown bears get the worst raptor, like, yeah, they're violent if you see them, bro. And like polar bears are just drenched in blood, like dripping, just roaring and babies stomping. Flipping shit around seals. And they're like, oh, they're so beautiful and majestic. Isn't it as violent?
SPEAKER_04Just to clarify, we're talking about bears. Yeah. It's all bear talk people. It's all bears. It's all bear talk.
SPEAKER_00Well, polar bears are like, I think the only bear that actually like hunt humans. Oh, really? Yeah, I think all the other bears, they do it out of, you know, fear.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Or, you know, I watch a lot of like nature stuff like that.
SPEAKER_01There's like certain cats, and it's like tigers attack, lions, but like cheetahs. And it is like I just recently seen that they were like, oh, cheetahs, they've never attacked like humans. There's no ever, there's never been a recorded attack. They're out of all the big cats, they're the they're literally like house cats. Yeah. They just they they're more fearful. If they see people, they run. They don't kind of charge towards them. And a lot of animals, especially bears, will kind of come towards you.
SPEAKER_04I feel like they just know they would fuck one up. Yeah. And they're like, Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like, let's just let's let them go for let them pet you. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Look how scared he is, little bitch.
SPEAKER_01Like I smell his fear.
SPEAKER_00Well, what I love is that there's like two different ways you're supposed to respond to bears. Like, if it's a brown bear, you're supposed to like curl up. Like be quiet. I don't know. I'm getting these wrong. So don't be able to do that.
SPEAKER_01One of them was like curl up. I thought that was a good one.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, this is this is not fact. This is, I'm not remembering correctly, but I know one of them you're supposed to just like stop and be quiet. And then another one you're supposed to be like, ah, make yourself big.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and and like what if you like when you're on a hike and one comes up to you, are you really thinking about like this yeah, like I'm deciphering with okay, his ears are bad, yeah, his fur is light brown. Fuck.
SPEAKER_04I'm just gonna go ahead and yeah, I'm just gonna go ahead and goddamn shoot myself and prepare his meal for him, dog.
SPEAKER_01Because then if you start trying to make yourself big, and then it's like I'm big too, and then it gets and y'all ah, you know, it's not gonna end one.
SPEAKER_04I don't care if you scare the bear, you're still a hundred percent more scared than that fucking bear.
SPEAKER_01You're gonna be like farting.
SPEAKER_00So my husband's from Alaska, oh yeah, and we he wanted to go on a hike. We went up there, and I'm not necessarily a hiking girl, but um, he wanted to go on this hike of the glacier trail. And I was like, Oh, are there bears on the trail trail? He's like, Oh no, there's never any bears. And I was like, should we bring bear spray? Bear's bears. Yeah, I go, should we bring bear spray? And he goes, if you have to use bear spray, you're already like screwed. So don't you like it's there's no point, right? I'm like, okay. So we go on the trail and it's a it's not it's a long one, okay? And we come back, everything's fine, we're good, no bears. A year later, same trail, we're not on it, we're here. Um, there had been a 16-year-old who was running in like a race or something, and he texted his mom saying, Hey, I think I'm being tracked by a bear, and he was eaten by a bear same weekend a year later. Same trailing season where they're like, Yeah, so I'm like he's like, No, there's no bears.
SPEAKER_01They were just they were probably already eating somebody while you guys were hiking, so you were good. They're like, Yeah, we got this body.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so that's crazy.
SPEAKER_04What did your bear do?
SPEAKER_00So, uh yeah, uh going back to the bears. Now, by the way, also, you know the one person who doesn't get arrested and charged with a crime for breaking and entering?
SPEAKER_04Probably the white guy. A bear. Oh somebody that works for Marlar.
SPEAKER_01He was lost. I don't know how.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there's actually bears in Florida. Do you know that? That's crazy, right? Yes.
SPEAKER_01There's bears in Mississippi. Yeah, my grandpa's from Mississippi, so I would go visit him like as a kid. And I'm the only one in my family born and raised in LA. Everybody's from like the South or Detroit. So I remember the first time I went to Mississippi and we're like driving, and I'm like, what the hell is that? Like by the trees. And I'm I had never seen a bear in even in California in person, and just seeing like in the like just on the side of the road in the trees, it's like bears, it's deers, it's wildlife, but that's why it's kind of bears because it's so many other things to hunt or eat.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But it's it's weird when you kind of out your peripheral and you just see kind of like a big figure like up against a tree, and you're like, What the is that a bear? Yeah, and it just moves and then it's just gone. So it's yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00My friend lives in North Carolina, he's always sending us pictures or video of bears like visiting their neighborhood. So it's interesting.
SPEAKER_01You'll see them in uh Texas. I want to say like parts of Louisiana. Oh, yeah, I'm sure. Well, it's just a lot of the south where you would think you would never see something like that. It's and I think so. Sometimes people see stuff like that, and because the region, I saw an alien. Or I saw a sasquash or something, it's like you saw a bear. It was probably a skinny bear that probably hasn't eaten in months. And it's like stumbling around looking.
SPEAKER_00Or just a dirty homeless dude.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah. Who then hasn't shaved in ears. He hasn't shaved in ears. He used to be a bear.
SPEAKER_00And then when you go to West Hollywood, that's a different kind of bear.
SPEAKER_03It's bear city.
SPEAKER_00Bears and otters. Oh my.
SPEAKER_01Oh my otter. What is it? Is that a new uh term? Otter?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, oh, there's so many terms.
SPEAKER_01Oh wow, I didn't know that. That is hilarious.
SPEAKER_00I think it's like a smaller bear.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, that's hilarious.
SPEAKER_04That's ridiculous. That is fucking comedy. That is hilarious.
SPEAKER_00Uh well, going back to LA, so now we're we're back to LA. Um, so there were uh four people who go to Lake Arrowhead, and you know, you drive your Rolls-Royce to Lake Arrowhead, that's what you do. That is indeed what you do when you're from LA.
SPEAKER_01Drive your lotus.
SPEAKER_00Uh, and not just a Rolls Royce, uh a ghost. Okay. Yeah, exactly. And they park it at their house or the rental house, and um wouldn't you know it? A bear broke in to the Rolls-Royce.
SPEAKER_01Oh, he knew class, he knew style, yeah, sophistication. He was just sitting here like rubbing the texture, like, this is so luxurious. I don't know why the bear has a reddish accent. Because it's a Rolls Royce. It's a Rolls Royce Class. Do you have any great poopon? Uh literally. He is like a little compartment for you.
SPEAKER_00So um, yeah, so the bear did some damage in the car, and the individuals filed a claim with their insurance as one does, and uh everything was going, you know, along pretty swimmingly until the insurance company and and the people actually even submitted pictures of the bear in the car and video because the home that they were in had a brand video. Yeah, and the car was positioned just so where you could see the bear coming into the car, you know, rustling around in the car and then exiting the car.
SPEAKER_01Looking for some snacks.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Have you ever seen the insides of a car after a bear is broken in? Yeah, like destroyed.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, seats are moved around, slash, dashboard. But usually they like the the the airbag deploys at some point. Yeah, and it scares them out of the car.
SPEAKER_00And there's like maybe a window's broken, sometimes there's poop, sometimes there's pee, just trash everywhere. Um this was superficial scratches. They're just like just like beep boop boop.
SPEAKER_01Like nice Rose Royce you have here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so so the insurance company was like, I don't know, that seems a little sus. So they go to uh like a fish and wild game expert, a biologist, and they show the video to this expert. And the expert's like, uh yeah, no, this isn't a bear. That bear doesn't move that way. And I think the tip-off is that the bear doesn't actually open a door.
SPEAKER_04Like a bear was I watched the video. Right. Did you see the video? Yeah, I did. Yeah, I watched the video. Like it's it's so like obviously a fucking human. Oh my god, that is fucking hilarious.
SPEAKER_00This is where we tell Tony that we have the same story today, me and Tony oh.
SPEAKER_04We did actually accidentally pick the same story.
SPEAKER_01So it was a suit. Yeah. So they so it's uh they was just jealous of someone's rolls rolling.
SPEAKER_00No, it would they did it on purpose. So the end of the three individuals, the three individuals had their friend dress up as a bear.
SPEAKER_01So they can get the insurance claim.
SPEAKER_00And then he went in the car with uh meat shredders, so like you know, like for chicken shredders or whatever. But the problem is is it's a wolverine claw.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it that's what it looked like.
SPEAKER_00But the the the shredders are five prongs, and what the other one is six prongs.
SPEAKER_01So they were like, where is this other nail coming from? Is this like a mutant? I didn't see that part.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was like a mutant, and they're like tiny like scratches, not like a bear claw scratches.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like where you could see like even people fake uh the bear claw tattoos look like a bear claw because it's like the detail in it. Right, they're it's like wide and long.
SPEAKER_04He was very like cautious about when he was climbing in the cut, like a fucking bear would have been in there like fucking couch in his human mind.
SPEAKER_01He was still like, This is a rose royal. That's why it's like I don't want to break something. Okay, this is all just slice here.
SPEAKER_00There was no and there was actually no slices, it was all superficial, all superficial. None of it, yeah, none of it, none of it was like rips or tears.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's wild.
SPEAKER_00Right. So um the but what gets even crazier is the same bear on the same day at the same address also destroyed two Mercedes.
SPEAKER_01He was just on a car, like well, here's a kicker. Did he poop in any of the cars? Okay, I was about to say he took it to a whole nother level. He has like the bear suit halfway down and he pulls it up and gets out. Would you say though crazy?
SPEAKER_00Would you say though, that having um the meat shredders, a five-prong and a and a six-prong, would you say that that's a a red flag? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Red flag. The big red flag. That's like a dumb flag. It's like, bro. Supposed to be fingers. You're you could have just been better off holding like butter knives. Just four butter knives in each hand. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so I mean, what they what these individuals don't understand is that insurance companies are the original gangsters. They're they're not gonna, they're not, they're not gonna mess around. Like they're gonna investigate, they have unlimited fines.
SPEAKER_04They're gonna send their very own.
SPEAKER_01They're return every, they're gonna just watch. They got some guy eating a subway sandwich, smoking cigarettes in a car parked down the street from you, just like he's just like he's peeing in big gulp cups. Just so, just so this company doesn't have to pay you, and they're gonna pay him uh pretty much way less than what they would have had to pay you. That's is I had a friend who was going through some like insurance stuff like that years ago, like early 2000s. And I think he did get hurt, but he was kind of like milking it to a point. But they would like he would have to like walk around the neighborhood with a cane, and like when he'd go to the liquor store to get like blunts or whatever, he'd leave like early in the morning walking his dog with the newspaper. Like I ain't mad at it. He was like, 'cause he's like, I don't know where they are, yeah, and they really are like on me. So and he was off work for a good almost a year, and he was like in pain and had issues, but maybe it's just they maybe they're not gonna pay thinking it's not as bad as you're saying it is. Right. So he kind of had to work that that system till he got paid. But I knew a chick that had a settlement with the cab, yellow cab company. And I remember hanging at her house and I would always see yellow cabs like parked outside. And I was just like, does like a the cab drivers like live around here? And she was like, No, I got a settlement. And like they kind of start like stalking her.
SPEAKER_05Oh.
SPEAKER_01Because she pretty much, but she was a scammer.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01She had like did the slip and falls in supermarkets, like dropped a jar of jelly, then walk back down the aisle. And oh, so she had did something. I don't know if she really got hurt, but her coat or something got caught in the cab and they left. So she kind of did the oh, like the spinaround fall. I would have to. Yeah, I would have. I mean, it's like it's a cover. But when that's like what you're known, you've already had like maybe three settlements from accidents that seemed kind of un you could have missed them. Like, so that one happened, and they had to pay her. So I guess though their only get back was stalking her. So all day, like yellow, yellow calves would just ride up and down her street. And she stayed like on a residential street, but it was like they'd park outside, like they were just trying to scare her on some like we know you're not like hurt.
SPEAKER_00Do you you know I have a name for people that have those types of injuries? Frequent flyers.
SPEAKER_01That makes definitely that makes a lot of sense.
SPEAKER_00Because they just keep the points.
SPEAKER_01It says, How do you just keep like how do you have a lawsuit every like two and a half years? They're doing it.
SPEAKER_04Like take your one little settlement. And just boss up or something.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's the thing. Uh the insurance companies, as soon as you file a claim, there's this index that comes out, and so it's associated with your social security number. So then you know, like so, like, and so in this situation, uh the bear situation, the insurance company all they would have to do is type in the address of the Lake Arrowhead house, and then it would flag how many times there's been um a claim, a claim. And so that would be another red flag for the red flag.
SPEAKER_01Yes, gotta come in, it's just a drop.
SPEAKER_00I mean, to be fair, that's why I brought you in.
SPEAKER_01I just wanted to eat the voiceover. I just wanted the red flags. I just need the voiceovers.
SPEAKER_00Um, but yeah, so the insurance company, if they run an index uh, you know, on that address, it's gonna populate. Oh, this address has had X amount. Yeah, that's true. And in this case, it would populate that they had three claims, all involving bears in one night. All on the same day. So, I mean, red flag, red flag, red flag, I think. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01The bear was looking for car keys. He was gonna leave in one of the cars on camera.
SPEAKER_04It was just this persona.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's and that's the thing too. If you've ever seen an actual real bear breaking into a car, it's like thrashing, thrashing.
SPEAKER_01But usually they just lean on the window till it pops. Yeah. Like I've seen that. They just kind of lean in it. Almost like it's an accident. Yeah, and even they kind of jump like, oh, they can climb in.
SPEAKER_00This was this the video was such where, as you saw, uh the the car door was still in the frame of the video. So you could see the person like opening the door. There's no there's no bear that's gonna do that.
SPEAKER_01It's like, oh, it's open. It even has like a latch, like the little button, he's like pushing it in to the keys. Like Harry and the Henderson's like, this isn't an average bear.
SPEAKER_00But so when the insurance company got went like figured this out or started to have the suspicions, and they got the expert to say, Yeah, we don't think that this is an actual bear, uh, they got an they got the insurance.
SPEAKER_04I can't believe they needed an expert. That's all guys wearing a yogi suit.
SPEAKER_00They probably to have um like legal grounds to stand on. Yeah, I I think probably to have more of a you know, build a case is that like this isn't just our we're just saying, yeah, right, right. Right. So so they so they um they get the that information, they inform the insurance bureau of California, I believe. They, you know, assign a fraud detective to it, uh, and then they get a search warrant and they go to the house of one of the individuals and they found the bear suit and the meat claws.
SPEAKER_01What? Yes, they were like they kept it. Yes, that's the bear suit's like hanging in there. It's like American Psycho and then claws. The Rolls Royce key in the pocket. With the Rolls Royce key and the claws. The the little meat claws still on the suit.
SPEAKER_00Personally, what I love about this story though is that Tonyo picked this story too, and I'm still surprising him with facts. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_04That's crazy. You got all the facts today.
SPEAKER_00Tony's like, I didn't read that one. That's crazy. So it's crazy. Yeah, so um, I believe that there are four that have been charged. There's a fifth suspect that has not been arrested.
SPEAKER_01Uh the bear on the grassy knoll. He was in the cut in a bear seat with the camera. He had a whole school camera just watching just in case. That's why.
SPEAKER_00It was Goldilocks.
SPEAKER_01Uh we found porridge in one of the in the Mercedes.
SPEAKER_00This Rolls Race is too big. This Mercedes is just right. It was just right. Uh, so but three of them pled no contest to uh insurance fraud. Yes. And um, so so now I'm gonna I have to reference my my detailed page here. So two uh pled no contest to felony insurance fraud in uh injuring or destroying insured property and were sentenced to 180 days in jail to be served through a week in jail program.
SPEAKER_01I mean, that's why they drive in Rolls Royces. Yeah, those uh usually the person driving Rolls Royces and they commit crimes. Yeah, they got that bread. Yeah, you go you're gonna do about two weeks max if you do anything other than a house arrest.
SPEAKER_00So then they were ordered to pay over each of them fifty thousand dollars, and then one other one plied no contest to insurance fraud, um, similar 180 days in jail and uh supervised pro uh probation, also uh ordered to pay restitution, and then the fourth person is at their hearing is scheduled for September. But no, this is actually a good you're so you're right. The Rolls Royce it what it says to me is that they had lawyers who are a lawyer. Yeah, and so so that's how come I think that they were able to get such a sweetheart deal.
SPEAKER_01Anybody else would probably have been like four years at least.
SPEAKER_00Right. Well, and and possibly this might have been a first-time.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so to be that dumb, yeah, definitely they were claiming almost $142,000 in damage.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's that's uh anybody else, most other people would have would uh a public defender, you'd have only three and a half at least.
SPEAKER_04So when I was reading it and I saw that that was the amount of the the claim and it was like this is like a serious felony offense once it gets into six figure. Yeah, and I was like, two years a weekend?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's like grand larceny.
SPEAKER_04What kind of serious felony offense is worth two years a weekend? And it was in Florida.
SPEAKER_01No, you said this was like Arrowhead. It was LA, actually.
SPEAKER_00Like Glendale Arrowhead. Oh, okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's yeah, that's this is money. Good lawyers. Yeah, yeah. That's exactly kind of adds up.
SPEAKER_00Right, yeah. Um, but going back to you know, having the expert view the bear, right? So so they want to, I'm pretty sure that the police wanted to establish probable clause.
SPEAKER_03She's here all week. Oh, I'll be here all week, people.
SPEAKER_00And now that they have a felony, they they won't be able to have the right to bear arms.
SPEAKER_04You know that's the only thing I regret about.
SPEAKER_01They can't bear meat claws anymore.
SPEAKER_00Are these puns unbearable? Okay. Bear with me. Just bear with me.
SPEAKER_01We could bear it.
SPEAKER_00Yes. So uh that's that's the stories this week, I guess. This was a kind of a quick one, but a tailspan. But well, since since we picked the same one, I I did want to cover a breaking news. Uh oh. So there, you guys remember back in January when Maduro was captured by special forces.
SPEAKER_01In the Nike Tech suit.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01He had the Nike Tech suit. Sponsored by Nike. That was long.
SPEAKER_00He wasn't an Air Force one, though. So that one was good. Um, but yeah, so so they uh they just uncovered this week that one of the special forces, I guess an army member, uh, bet on polymarket that Maduro was gonna be taken out by January. That's crazy. $400,000, I think.
SPEAKER_01That's how much he bet? I think that's how much he won.
SPEAKER_00Well, I don't know if he's been paid out. Oh, they are so much.
SPEAKER_04The odds were probably astronomical, so he probably didn't have to bet much. Uh gotta be.
SPEAKER_01He's already bet like a thousand dollars. Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_00I don't I don't know much because it's all still kind of like breaking, but I mean, what do what do you think about that? Do you think you should be in trouble for that? Or do you think that that's like not a big deal?
SPEAKER_04Or well, I mean, to the the what is it, who's in charge of that, like the gaming commission or whatever?
SPEAKER_00Uh I I I think it could be a national security issue.
SPEAKER_04Well, yeah, that too. Because well, even even just from a gambling standpoint, like that's insider knowledge. Right. At the very least.
SPEAKER_00That's already a SEC violation of that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't know necessarily that it could be a leak of national security because like he didn't leak any information.
SPEAKER_00So you know what I think.
SPEAKER_04I guarantee other people bet that he would be.
SPEAKER_00So here's the problem I could see. All right. What I could foresee is a situation where it's like this is an one like one instance, right? An isolated instance. But now that the world knows that that's a possibility, imagine if other special forces were like, okay, um Ayotolla is gonna be taken out by December. There and then they see the numbers moving in the poly market and they see like all these bets coming in that the Ayatollah is gonna be taken out by December, but then all of a sudden they're gonna be like, wait a second, something's going on.
SPEAKER_04Like the Pentagon pizza, exactly.
SPEAKER_00So if they so they sort of see something's going on, they might take different actions, and then all of a sudden people get killed because of that. And I've heard actually the Pentagon has changed the pizza idea. Like they've actually ordered.
SPEAKER_04They order in Taco Bell or something.
SPEAKER_00No, they've or I I heard something like that. They um had like pre-ordered a bunch of food beforehand. So that way it's have you heard of this theory? So the theory is that if you see that the Pentagon is ordering a pizza like at a like a higher rate than normal, that means something's going down.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that means they're all work, everybody's working. That makes sense. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_00So so apparently. So apparently there's been some speculation that they have taken something in-house because it's the numbers haven't been reflective of that as as recent, I believe. But I mean, yeah, maybe they bought some more granola bars.
SPEAKER_01It's I mean, and it's similar. Uh uh that happened, I want to say, last year. And that's how you it's they always know what's going on, and people will play like, oh, we didn't know guarantee they knew this dude made this bet when he made the bet. Oh, because it's like there was a fighter and he was a a like pretty much unknown guy. Cause I watch a lot of fights and fighting. I I've never seen this dude heard of him, but he was fighting on like a like a it might have been like a Tuesday night. So it just shows you it wasn't even a main card type thing. And the bets on this dude's fight, I want to say an hour before the fight, it just everybody bet. I want to say like at least 10 to 20 million dollars was bet on this dude. Or on it was something on this fight, and it wasn't a main event, it was like a mid-card fight. And immediately the betting, like the what is it, the gaming commission, or everyone took notice, they canceled the fight. The fight didn't even get to happen because they immediately noticed. And this just happened, I want to say, like, September. Anywhere between like July and August, like July and August. But it was like he was like a no-name dude, so that was even the red flag of red flag. Um why would like hundreds of thousands of people be betting on this fight on either one of these? Of nobody's up to upwards of 20 million dollars for like a prelim mid-card. It was just it was just fishy from the jump. So obviously they knew they probably let this dude make these moves just so it brings out everybody else, because usually that's what when the non-corrupt people, I guess, are trying to find the rest of the corrupt people, just let you, it's just like dropping breadcrumbs. So they probably already knew this bet was made, and then it they executed the the you know, the extraction got him out, and like you said, maybe he hasn't been paid out, maybe he has, but that's that's it, it's it's just seems messy. That's for political, like you said, people's lives, and just to be betting on like something like that. Something like it's just it's just grimy. It just seems grimy, and like that's it, it just seems like like y'all are supposed to actually kind of even though we know you aren't the example anymore. Right. It's clear, right? But it's like it's just like that's like seeing your pastor and he's like at a night gambling spot and like, hey, what's up, boy? What you do? He's like, bro, you must have been church in a warden. I grew up in the South, bro.
SPEAKER_04That happened all the time. You see what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01He got a flask and shit.
SPEAKER_04My middle school football teacher smokes. That motherfucker would be in this car smoking crack before the game is in the practice. He didn't even smoke after or before the crack as a teacher. He was had love. Hey, we were undefeated. They got a fucking crackhead full of color straight every single fucking year.
SPEAKER_01That is wild. Hey, hey, crackheads are motivating. Crackheads are motivating. They they'll push you, they push themselves.
SPEAKER_00There's no rule against the coaches being cracked up. It's the players. The players can't be cracked up, but like the coaches can be on all sorts of stuff.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we've got like a roided out crackhead coach. He's just on everything.
SPEAKER_00Okay, speaking of coaches, then let's talk about another coach. The Patriots coach. Did you see what happened with him?
SPEAKER_01Oh, with uh with the reporter? Yeah, I just seen out about what we hear about it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so so the Patriots coach and this reporter have were caught at like a resort in Sedona being very affectionate.
SPEAKER_04The Patriots got a real bad habit of getting caught at things. Yeah, old man. They just like we don't have an awful track record. They're like, we got good lawyers.
SPEAKER_03That's why they're like, we'll get out of there.
SPEAKER_00I know, yeah. Well, it starts at the top. Kraft, I mean, heft was wild. But yeah, so so he um, yeah, they they were like, oh, there's an explanation for this, yeah, there is, and then more stuff has been leaked out, and so they're both married, the reporter and him, like not to each other. And um, she got fired from her job, but he didn't. But there's been a lot of like uh, you know, people being upset that she got fired and he didn't. But I'm like, I think it it's still not that I'm saying like what he did was right or wrong. I I I don't know, but I could foresee a situation where a coach doesn't have to be it could be a moral like thing in the contract, but him having a relationship with a reporter doesn't impact their underlying, but where the reporter, if she's having a relationship, then all of a sudden she's spinning a story for them or whatever. So I can see you know, yeah, but it that that just happened.
SPEAKER_01So it's I I've seen that it and I just seen something they said like they spent like a week, weekend together or something in Sedona, and but it was like maybe two months after her their her and her husband's first kid was born.
SPEAKER_00No, it was after their wedding, I think.
SPEAKER_01It was something like 2020. It was yeah, it was like it's it's just people are you know the internet now is just they're their own detectives, and but they've like placed her all these moments where she's either with or around him, and they placed like she had just gotten married, and then she had the kid, and then they were here, and then like and it seems kind of like hey, I'm and I'm sure it's they're not the only ones. That's oh yeah, they were like saying that with Sarah Palin back in the day. You remember when Sarah Palin ran for governor, I mean vice president with McCain. Yeah, and she was well, I guess they're saying when she was the I don't know if she was a weather. No, she was I think a sports analyst in Alaska.
SPEAKER_00I think she was Idaho one of the.
SPEAKER_01I think uh she was a no because she was from like the Alaskan Right.
SPEAKER_00I think she went to school in Idaho.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's southern because she was always like I could see Russia from my backyard in Alaska. But it's actually it's probably kind of true. But it just sounded the way she I can see Russia from my backyard.
SPEAKER_00No, no, it's it's that it's not accident. It's like, oh I can see Russia from my backyard.
SPEAKER_01It just sounded like okay, Mary. Like, it sounded funny, but she that became one of the one of the her, like, you know, they always dig and find your scandals when you're running. And I I want to say it was Glenn Rice. Oh, it was like one of the because Glenn Rice was a shooter. He must have shot his shot. But Glenn Rice was like the man I remember when he was on the Lakers, he was like, that dude had like like the best threes. But I want to say she had an affair. If it was even an affair, because I don't know if she was married.
SPEAKER_00Allegedly.
SPEAKER_01Allegedly, but he was in college, he was a college athlete, and she was like the sports, and they kind of had a thing.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01So they she got called out on that. So it's oh, I felt like and that was the 90s or early. So I don't think in like 98 or something. So it had to be like mid-90s to early, like, I would think, because I would say she's maybe a few years older. She has to be in her like mid to late 50s.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So definitely.
SPEAKER_00But politicians aside, because that's I think that goes with the territory. Like I mean, every all sides each side of the aisle has their problems, like with the the affairs situation.
SPEAKER_04I mean, yeah, I mean we don't even need allegedly for that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's like they just do it. What's the one girl just got caught and I think Trump made her like he made her something like that? Laura Loomer? Not that one. Oh more than what it's the it's uh she's a young girl and she just got exposed with his like oh and with a guy that has like a 67 million dollar defense budget or something. Yeah, I don't I don't know much about that because I I didn't I didn't I saw that she's like some type of like Trump just made her some type of executive and she just got pretty much exposed, like pretty much being a prostitute. Sugar daddies it's like and the dude even the dude kind of got tired of it, and he's like, bro, like you're I gave you 30,000 for this, you're asking me for like $4,000 this week. You want me to pay, give you another six? It was just kind of like, and if you read that it's literally a sugar daddy and a prostitute, and these are two people that work in our government, allegedly, and yeah, that's uh you're getting 40k. You getting you getting paid for your services.
SPEAKER_04I was gonna say something like that. Well, if she was getting paid for her services, we asked what's the what's the problem with the coach and the the no, I'm not saying that there's a problem, but there's morality clauses in contrast.
SPEAKER_00And they're married, so so he's married, and Mr. Baldmar. But he didn't get fired, she got fired. And I'm saying by her being a reporter, I think that there's a potential of it being like impropriety, like just like it's kind of like you know, like she's gonna show favoritism.
SPEAKER_01She'll have a bias to make him always kind of or just you have a reporter in your pocket at that point, right? Like I also had missed the part that he was married. Yeah, he's married. I probably displayed it for a minute. And then they've always kind of she's always interviewed him. That's why it looked even weirder. So when people go back, okay, and they're like, Okay, okay, okay. And it's just like certain interviews people have been pointing out where there's like body language, like they might have just finished doing something like right before the interview.
SPEAKER_00But it's not just the NFL. Think about Rory McElroy, the Gallic golfer. He was allegedly having an affair with a reporter.
SPEAKER_01He just won too, like two weeks ago.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the Masters. Yeah, back to back.
SPEAKER_01Like he's hitting it. Back to back. He's going back to back.
SPEAKER_04That's the I got that lawyer money. Yeah, that's all it is.
SPEAKER_01A lot of people is just like, if you know you can live a certain way with no real consequence. Yeah, fine to me means legal for a price. Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01So honestly. But what's with that's yeah, that's just what that means.
SPEAKER_00But the one thing that the Patriots coach, I guess, had to do was um kiss Robert Kraft. No, no.
SPEAKER_01He had to give him a massage. I just always every time I hear Robert Kraft, I just remember that Super Bowl. He was like trying to kiss Tom Brady at the end. And Tom like did it, but he you could tell he was like, oh, not here, but okay.
SPEAKER_00But Brady Brady kisses his sons on the lips, so Lil Wayne and baby did it as well.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I remember that happened. Oh boy.
SPEAKER_00No, but so the the coach though, apparently he like I think he entered himself into some kind of like therapy or something. I don't know what it was, but he missed the draft. So he wasn't there for the night of the draft, which is pretty critical when you think about it.
SPEAKER_01You're the coach, you're picking your you know, your next whatever who you're gonna interact with for the next feast. Yeah. So who made the what the assistant coach? The owner. Bro, I'm a quarterback. I'm an equipment manager. Yeah. Hold on, I got some towels in the dryer. So when can you make it here? I said add bounce sheets.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, there's so much stuff that can happen on draft night too. Yeah, like I guess um the Steelers were supposed to uh they're supposed to draft somebody and before they could do it, the Eagles still. Oh, the Eagles cables and like Eagle came out. Pun intended, but yeah. Got their claws in there. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04The alleged or the fucking punk counter is going on. Yeah, it's it's it's clicking. It's gonna be up there.
SPEAKER_00So but yeah, that that that is our episode, I guess. What are you have any shows coming up?
SPEAKER_01Uh I got I'm doing my boy Drew Fahey's show at uh the brewery. It's I don't I'm bad with like names of establishments. Uh just but just go if you go to my page on Drew Fahy's page, I'm doing that Tuesday, 8 p.m. And Drew Evans is gonna take my place hosting at the remix for the night, but I'm still on the lineup for remix, so I'm gonna do Drew Fehey's too. Yeah, Drew Evans is a song. And it's funny because we get like people think either we're like brothers, or like I've had people, I did a show, like I just recently did a 420 show on Sunday, and I did pretty good. I get off stage, and there was another dude who's a kind of well-established comedian, and he walked up to me. He was like, hey bro, you killed it. You was funny. And then he walked over, he shook me, he was like, Drew, right? And I'm like, no, Tony, Tony Graham's. But what that actually I didn't get mad, what that showed me is Drew's doing good enough, and uh, we're both doing good enough to where people can even if you even if we resemble, it's the actual the talent that that I kind of like that of if you think he's good enough and I'm we're in the same time. I'm like Tony Graham's all the time. I seen the I seen the fly. Somebody else brought it to my attention because I didn't even see it, and they were like, Yeah, he was like, what the f and all and I seen it was like Tonyo, and I've had that issue my whole my name is Antoine, but you know Tony is short for Antoine, Antonio, or Anthony. So I've had yearbooks, Antonine, Antonio. They spelled my name Antonine Brown before.
SPEAKER_00As long as it's not asinine.
SPEAKER_01An Antonio Antoine. I've been called Antoine. That's crazy. Like I saw like that sounds like some yarn or some shit. Welcome to Antoine's. Like Michaels, we rival Mike Michaels or something. But yeah, that's I got the remix room Tuesday, uh like I said, Drew's Tuesday. And just anywhere else I'll fall through. I got some stuff coming up.
SPEAKER_00I'm pretty disappointed. Got your show coming up? Yeah, you guys are both on the show May 9th Saturday. Maybe May 9th, Saturday. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I just had it just my clickers, because he will hit me and I'll be like, yeah. And then I just totally not forget, but I just know it's coming at a point. And I just kind of like with my shows.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't tell you, I just put you on the poster and then you show up.
SPEAKER_01He's like, I'm here. Yeah. I know I know a few. I got a few friends like that. I'm like, bro, you're on this show tonight? And they're like, am I? And I'm like, they're like, oh shit, I guess.
SPEAKER_04Like May 9th, man. We got a fucking, we have an insane lineup for that show. Yeah, it's gonna be so many killers on the fucking line.
SPEAKER_00I'm excited.
SPEAKER_04Me too.
SPEAKER_00I hope uh people Ingenuity. Yes, Delta Sassi. Well, I I I I don't know. I hope this is a compliment, but I I described you um as someone else because of your voice. Okay. So I was telling my cousin he had to go to the show because I'm like, you have your voice control, is it reminds me of Chappelle, honestly.
SPEAKER_01Thank you. And he's like been one of my favorites since I was a kid. That's my absolute favorite. He's been hands-up. I'll say, like, he was my favorite it's you know when you have just one person you kind of mess with, and like he's always been that since like I was a kid. Yeah, and he was doing showtime specials. Yeah. And then I would see him on back and forth on HBO or Showtime. Yep. And then I can remember calling in late to my first job, like 99, because he had his uh, I want to say it might have been his HBO special, and it was premiering. Killing him softly? I think it was like whichever one was like 99, 99 or 2000. I remember and I had a night job and it premiered at like 9 p.m. on. And I remember calling in, I had to be there at like six, and I was like, hey, um I'll be there at like 11. I'm coming there, like, you sure? And I'm like, yeah, and I just I remember just sitting there watching it, and I had no idea I would be a comedian or wanted to be, but Chappelle was always funny to me. I would just see half baked at the theater, like when it came out because and I didn't even smoke then. I think I was five when that came out. I remember seeing the commercials and was like, I got us. I had never smoked, but he was just always that funny.
SPEAKER_00Well, and it's your voice control, it's your you when you go in and out of red flag, when you went in and out of Jaguar, like it reminded me of a couple of his sets. He can control the voice so good. I know what you mean.
SPEAKER_01It it's it's the first time I've anyone ever told me that I was in the county jail when I was like 21 and I went to the county, and like people was like, Hey man, you remind me of Dave Chappelle. And I was like, and I wasn't I just always kind of had humor, even when I was doing ignorant stuff. I was always kind of the funny friend. So I've heard that through my life, and I always kind of like cool, cool, but yeah, that's have you ever has anyone ever told you like that you remind them of somebody like comedically or yeah, Kevin Hart. He's like I'm little, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I'm black. What else?
SPEAKER_04Okay, that's me, little and black.
SPEAKER_00Who do you think people have said that I remind them of comedically? Not not Johnny Depp, but comedically.
SPEAKER_04Comedically Johnny Depp.
SPEAKER_00No, seriously, I had someone tell me I look like Johnny Dupp.
SPEAKER_04So yes, it's true.
SPEAKER_01Gilbert and Rage.
SPEAKER_00What'd you say, Gilbert Right? Gilbert and Grave. I I I prefer to think it's from the movie Blow. Because that I think he looked really interesting.
SPEAKER_01I can see the Boston Red.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'll I will like I feel like that's a compliment, and I'm gonna that's what I'm gonna go with. So but who do you think?
SPEAKER_04Who do you say?
SPEAKER_00You want me to just tell you?
SPEAKER_04Like visually, no, no, just like personal. I was gonna say, like, Mitch Headburg.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01I was gonna say, kind of the what's her name? She used to host that late night show. She's kind of like big now. Uh Eliza.
SPEAKER_00Oh no, no.
SPEAKER_01I kind of get that vibe a little bit.
SPEAKER_00No, Elaine from Seinfeld.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. I can see a little bit of Benny. But like that character. I can see it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. My one of my friends, uh, who's always like, you're just like Elaine. I'm like, what? Then I'm like, what was it? My dancing?
SPEAKER_01Like, Elaine was amazing. She was always she's so good. I love Seinfeld. Like, that's one of my I still watch so good. Like, I've been on Netflix, I was watching it yesterday. Oh, it's so good. Um, I just started season six again. Like, it's so good. And I'm old enough to where I watched it when it was new episodes. Yeah, me too. Me too. I was like, as a kid, like as a teenager, like, this is like actually funny.
SPEAKER_00I think one of the one of the best one of the best episodes is the black and white cookie episode.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I I just watched that one last week. So he's like, we learn from the cookie. She was like, it's a hair. Well, it's just a little hair. It's like it's just a small one. Do you think did you think that makes it better?
SPEAKER_00That was in the that was in the bot, that was in the babka or something. Or babka. Yeah, the babka, babka, yeah. Um, the the so the the black and white cookies is cooking in a deli, and it's like one side is is black, one side is white. And so Jerry's talking about how like it's the perfect yin and harmony and bring it together. But the whole episode too is him talking about how he hasn't thrown up in like 12, yeah. Yeah, 14, 12 years or whatever. And and then they're they're waiting for the babka. Am I saying it right? Yeah, cinnamon babka. Yeah, the babka. And um they're waiting for it. Yeah, they're waiting for it, they're waiting for it. It's taking so long. And so Jerry has his black and white cookie, and then he's sitting in the deli, and all of a sudden he's like, And she's like, What's wrong with you?
SPEAKER_01And he's like, uh my stomach. I think she's like the black and white cookie, and the whole episode he's been going on about peace and unity with the cookie, learn from the cookie alone. Because it's a split down the middle, black and white. And so she goes, This is the black and white cookie, and she was like, Yeah, it was like she goes, It's not so peaceful in there, isn't it? He goes, he goes, It's like a civil war in there. He was like, he goes, he said, it's like I got uh David Duke and Farrakhan in there.
unknownGod damn it.
SPEAKER_01That was and then he had to throw it up and then he had to go, he goes, that goes 14 years. That's it.
SPEAKER_00My my friend, uh their wedding, he was such a Seinfeld band. That was the black and white cookies. That black and white cookies that's dope for like the the gift or whatever, you know, like the little that's dope.
SPEAKER_01I've only had one maybe once in my life, like a black and white cookie. That's funny though. No, to self-I just never really like the icing because it's yeah, that's what it's a it's already like a hard cookie, yeah. And then it's like the icing, is that icing that's not like cake icing? It's that kind of kind of gets hard. Like, yeah, it's yeah, I'm good. I'll go with the the unpeaceful cookies. I'll go with the civil unrest cookies.
SPEAKER_00Chocolate on chocolate cookies.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, chocolate on chocolate. That's right. I'll go with the I'll go with the double stuffed crime.
SPEAKER_00Anyways, all right. Well, thank you so much for being here. And uh, you know, to our 10 subscribers, hopefully you tell your friends. Yeah, and double up. Thank you so much.
SPEAKER_01Thank you. Thank you.
