SPEAKER_04

Welcome to Life's Bumps and Bruises.

SPEAKER_01

We're glad you're here.

SPEAKER_00

I'm alright. How's things? Yeah, good.

SPEAKER_02

Good. Living the dream, so they say, man. Get around it. Yeah, yeah. That too. Last week we discussed what it's like being a man in today's society. And today we're going to uh go over the feminine energy and what that looks like and the impacts when we're not um uh you know living our femininity.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it was an it was an interesting discussion. And rather than doing an unpack that, I really want to unpack that episode. It was a lot, it was a long episode, and there was a lot that we probably could have gone into a bit deeper. Um, but I just want to unpack it a little bit from a female's perspective, listening to you and obviously listening to your experience, how you wouldn't share stuff, um, even to me as your wife. Um, I thought that really interesting. And um the fact that men just men don't share, and we know that men don't share. Women know men don't share. They, you know, we talk the joke about men having men cave man caves and going out and beating shit in their barrages or sheds or whatever it is, take out their frustrations, but I don't think we understand how deeply they hold on to stuff, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And silence, how good silence is for a man. They love silence.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, where women can't sit in silence.

SPEAKER_02

No, no.

SPEAKER_04

I think we'll go into a little bit more.

SPEAKER_02

Silence is a big deal for men, like that stillness. You know, when your man is really struggling, when they can't sit still, you know, and if they're crabby and whatever, maybe they just need a bit of silence and a bit of stillness. Uh stillness is don't ever underestimate stillness.

SPEAKER_04

Why? Why is that?

SPEAKER_02

It just recalibrates things and recenses things, right? And the conversations that are most likely happening inside someone's head, uh that that allows for that to just sort of blend in and and um shut down, you know, like an regular.

SPEAKER_04

So we talk about, and I know obviously I'm a female, I live inside my head a lot. Um, so men do it as well.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they do.

SPEAKER_04

Um they do it differently.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. Look, I'm not sure if anybody can hear this actually. Um, but old mate, neighbor mate next door is banging away at something, and I don't even think he knows what he's doing, but you might hear a bit of banging here and there. It's old man next door. We'll try and edit it out, but I can't guarantee it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. And today he's a special cat, and I was talking about it previously, yeah. And the sun's out, so you know, like he's like, Oh, yeah, cool. Let's um let's make some noise.

SPEAKER_04

Um but he's doing a bad thing out there being active, banging shit away.

SPEAKER_02

He is, yes, yes. Really bad one, but yes, he's uh um uh just really quickly on him.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, here we go.

SPEAKER_02

I can't help it. So old mate over here, he's got these like sensor lights, right? Let me tell you, these things are floodlights, right? And when he set set them up in the backyard, he's got a big German shepherd that runs up and down and it sets off these lights, but I think they're switch operator too. So when he turns them on, they stay on. And these things, it's like the MCG in his backyard, and it lights up the like because his backyard is quite small, and then the houses behind him are quite very, very tiny backyards. Like I'm talking maybe two, three meters at max to the fence.

SPEAKER_04

These lights go straight into their house, and it and it bounces off their glass and lights up our whole backyard.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, literally, you could play cricket in our backyard without any RBR lights on. It's a before, but anyway.

SPEAKER_04

Geez, you get distracted easy, mate.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I do because old mate over here, I don't know, I just uh good on him, good on him, anyway. Um, so yes, stillness is important for a man, going back to what we're talking about.

SPEAKER_04

I'm surprised you remember what we're talking about.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you, mate. Appreciate it. Um, and uh doing man's stuff, just reconnecting to masculinity is really important for men. Uh and a lot of the time, I mean, I know this happens here, right? Is if we were if we were at home and things are getting done, your to-do list becomes my to-do list.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you keep telling me I've got to share the load.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, okay. But um when when I do need that stillness, I can't get it. One, because you've got a to-do list. Uh that yeah, obviously you need to tick off. Uh, and two, I can't want you to do it. I've got to help out, otherwise I feel guilty. So there's um there's two things at play. Some of it's you, some of it's me, and uh, you know, what's the priority in that? It doesn't happen. And there'll be things that um the feminine energy need to do too. Uh, and we'll go over some of those things today. But um just just to recap over it. I get that it could be a little some of the things are maybe a little controversial depending on which side of the fence you sit. Uh, but this is what's coming in my office, legit. Men are completely disconnected from the masculinity and have become um more feminine. And I think that that that hurts the society. I really do. I think that hurts the family too, the family unit. Um, I I think about like this if if you had to worry about being a masculine energy as well as the feminine energy, you'd be cooked, completely cooked. You wouldn't be able to function, you'd be crabby, oh crabby, crabby, crabby, crabby, and the kids would cop it.

SPEAKER_04

What do you why do you think men are moving more towards a feminine energy? Do you think it's their their partners demanding more of them in that feminine space?

SPEAKER_02

I think why is it? I think it's a mixture of things. I think it's societal pressures, um, the shift in the tides of th of things a little bit. Where um you, I mean, you brought up in the last episode around um independence for a woman is a hundred percent um important because you're human, independence for a human is important, not just a female. Um, and that there I think has gone a little bit too far. And I think when I think about men, I think about this the the saying, you know, happy wife, happy life, that that has gone too far too. And where your needs are more important than mine, uh and they're tired, they're tired. Like if you have a very active male, um, who don't, you know, maybe they're trady on the tools all the time, body suit herding, uh, and then they've got to do a whole lot of other things for the family, you know, kids' sports and all that sort of stuff, plus do whatever is around here, and then the idea of happy wife, happy life, which literally gets choked around a lot, uh, then I've got to put your needs ahead of mine and I'm corked already. Um, but men generally take this idea of suck it up, princess, and keep moving.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Which uh don't necessarily agree with either. So stillness, if you're a man, stillness, stillness is important. Uh if you're uh a partner of a man, uh tell that little boy that he needs some stillness time, whatever that looks like. Go do man stuff, you know?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and on the flip side, they're doing too much man stuff. You need to call them after out of it as well.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but don't be don't be bitchy about it. Like it'll be just like, what's the priority here? Where's your priority at? Because let me tell you, you might not you might find that they're not the right man for you. If they're not gonna make you and your family a priority, are they really being a man? No, they're probably being a boy, being very self-centered and selfish. Uh, and they're um that that's a that's a problem, a different problem altogether. That's the negative side of masculinity.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Uh which is I think for the best part of the last probably 50 years is being tried to be stamped out, you know, that negative side of masculinity. The angry, um, take it out on everybody, you know, go go to the pub, drink heaps of beers, and go to sport, never be home with the family. I think that's been trying to be stamped out. But I think in that, men have lost their way a little bit. And it's not women's, it's not a feminine energy fault. It's not. Men just have to find their happy medium now.

SPEAKER_04

Well, like you said, it's a shift in times. Like, you know, the times that you're talking about, both parents aren't working.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_04

That's shifted. So it's a vibe in today's society. You need both to work.

SPEAKER_02

You do, and then you have to find you just recalibrate and find where where it all fits in. Uh, yeah, you can use masculine and feminine energy, absolutely. Um, but you know what? I think we're best suited to uh finding our own energy and working with that. So, me being a man, my I'm at my best when I'm masculine. I'm not at my best when I'm feminine. Um where you are the opposite, obviously. You're at your best when you're feminine. You're at your worst when you're masculine, or in a bad way.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And and we've seen it here. Yeah. Um, we see that a lot with mums too, especially, because their to-do list is so long, and then they sit there and they get very disgruntled at men who who prioritize their own happiness over supporting a family, like sports and golf and trips away with the boys, and if they're always doing that, like you said before, and leaving the family behind, women are not gonna be happy with you. They're not. Nobody would be happy with you.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that's fair, isn't it?

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely fair, 100%. Those types of blokes, I don't know, kind of need to slap around the ear all, you know what I mean? Ew, wake up, come on, man. Come on, it's time, time to grow up. So, yeah, that's um you got any questions around that?

SPEAKER_04

No, no. Let's um dig a little deeper into the feminine energy then.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So obviously, from a female's point of view, um, I know when I'm trying to badly um use my masculine energy. Um, because you know, you're talking before about anger. You know, women have anger as well.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I do.

SPEAKER_04

But it's all about how it comes out too. Um, in my case, I know exactly, and you know exactly how it comes out, and it's not good. It's not good. Um and it's it's finding a way to, I guess, from a use your use the energies the right way. And most people don't understand it to use it the right way, or even identify that you're using masculine energy because most people are just trying to get through out of the day. You know, I work full-time, start early, finish a little early, do pick up, then keep working, then cook dinner. That's our norm because you're usually having later clients. Um, so there is no time. It's always doing something. And I have friends that also, you know, work, and then they say, oh well, so their balance having to come home, cook, and the balance is usually on them to keep the household running. And they see that why should it only be a woman's role? So once again, it comes down to roles, not energies.

SPEAKER_01

That's right.

SPEAKER_04

So I don't think most people understand what venomine energy actually is.

SPEAKER_02

Well, um, maybe it might help with asking your question. How does it feel to be a woman in today's world?

SPEAKER_04

It's probably difficult. It is it is difficult. You have um, look, I I work in a healthcare industry, so it's very female dominated, right? Um, a lot of our executives are females. Yes, there's some guys as well, but it depends on how far up you look. Because in a hospital space, it's mainly females, but sometimes a high ego is then run by blokes. And so, and this is not just coming from myself, it's coming from others that go, you know, the people that on the floor on the ground experience the female perspective and the caring perspective is women. But when it starts coming to leadership, it's a very man's world. And it's very disheartening for a lot of females to see that. They always try, you know, leadership academies, um, women leadership programs trying to continue to promote that. And you see that all over the place, continue to continue to promote. But then you start looking at diversity, okay. Diversity appointments, is that a true appointment, or is it we need more females in leadership roles? And so that's your token female to tick box.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, well, where they fucked up with that, the governments in general, is when they started to give subsidies for it for having female in leadership.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I mean, don't get me wrong, there are some really great female leaders out there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there is.

SPEAKER_04

But the persona around it is how did you get there? And are you just ticking the box? And it's bloody ridiculous. We work hard. We work hard. And but it is, it's bloody hard juggling work with family responsibilities, school responsibilities, and then your own persona is I'm not doing enough for my family. Like I miss out on a lot with the kids in school and things like that. I don't get them ready for school. I miss that. And so from myself, it's trying to get past being so hard on myself and missing those things as a mum, to then providing for my family and doing what I need to do from a work perspective.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And it gets to the point where um I've had conversations with people, um, colleagues of mine. Some colleagues have gone on to be leaders and then hated it, and others have are just like me, happy where you are. I don't have the energy to manage people. Managing people is bloody hard.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I I choose not to go into those leadership roles. I don't have the brain, that's the bandwidth to do it. I'm quite happy managing myself, helping my state leaders, state managers around me, help those leaders. But I don't want to manage people myself because I don't want to chop and change um into that masculine, feminine energy. Um, because I find that I, and I think it's it might be a personal growth thing for me that I need to do is learn how to use them better to lead other people. But I just don't have the bandwidth. I don't want to do it. Um I don't know. I think we're so hard on ourselves as it is. It's funny. I'm gonna chop a little bit. I was speaking to a female leader yesterday or the day before, and we're talking about female exec leaders and how they can have such a negative view because they um they have to survive in an environment that is is there's a lot of guys around. And so they're very they can come across as very harsh, very um, I wouldn't say mean, but very direct. That softness is gone because they have to survive in a world that isn't designed for them. It's like they're trying to keep up with other guys, yeah. Um, and I'm not saying that they're horrible people or horrible um leaders, it's just the persona that comes back down. And it was a really interesting conversation that women are speaking about other women like that. And it's like they're missing their feminine energy, they're taking on the masculine energies to survive in that masculine world.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, they are, but you can still leave from nurture. What what what I'm interested in is how uh women are their own worst enemies, right? Like two women in the same space, one woman is kicking golves, doing all these spray things. Yeah, 100%. I I could never get around that.

SPEAKER_04

Some of it might be a bit of jealousy. What's the difference to you to me?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, a lot just saying, Yeah, jealousy.

SPEAKER_02

Um, I don't I don't know, like I think ultimately we want women to be nurturing. We do, we do 100%, because men aren't, right?

SPEAKER_04

And as soon as they are, then then move remove themselves from the I think nurturing, especially in a women leadership role, it can be seen as a weakness. Yeah, so they try and remove that, but you can also be direct, right?

SPEAKER_02

I think it's more about delivery. Um there was a a pryn at a school, she was female, uh, that I worked with, and she was nurturing, direct, and rule-oriented. That was great, it was fantastic, and because she wasn't masculine at all. It was just, no, these are the rules. And you know what, when we look at women in general, feminine energy, they like rules.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Nothing wrong with that.

SPEAKER_04

But you know, we've got a we've got I I have a few executives that are like that, and they're fantastic. They they really get along, they have the respect of their staff, they're fantastic people, but there's always a boss, and then there's a boss of a boss. The CEO is not the boss, they might be the boss of the current hospital, but they've also got people they need to report into. And it's and I think it's the people that are kind of removed from the people on the ground, they lose that nurturing.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It seems like they lose that nurturing.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So like I said, it's not about them personal, it just seems like how they have to survive in the world that's around them. And taking on that uh masculine energy that, you know, we talked about it before, like with you, you've got that, you've got that natural command. Not all guys have that, but you have that natural command. A lot of females, so less than boys, have that natural command. So then you have a female coming into those roles that's trying to get that command. It just doesn't sit well, it doesn't look right.

SPEAKER_02

I I think that's only because of the way that they're viewing it. That they're trying to be like something they're not. Yeah, you didn't get it because of that, you didn't get that role because of that. The same as with uh parenthood, right? Mums will each mum will have their own way of going about things, right? And that's there's nothing wrong with that. I think it's good. It's being passed down, essentially. But at the end of the day, if you try to be, and we've seen it here, where you've tried to be me with the kids, and it It doesn't work, it doesn't work, it doesn't work, but the male authoritarian that you spoke about, you can be like an authoritative parent.

SPEAKER_04

Being an authoritative parent from a masculine and feminine energy are two different things. Yeah, it does not work the same.

SPEAKER_02

Like if if I I think about ladies, we we would say for the most part, uh women are more emotional than men. Um, but when we talk about emotions, talking more nurturing emotions, softer emotions than the harsher ones that masculine energy would experience more often. Not not that they don't experience it, just more often. Um, that means you could lead from there, right? Um, where it gets really nasty is where when women use those emotions to manipulate, that's when it looks really yuck. Um, and and I think that that there is the manipulation, both masculine and feminine energy manipulate, but I reckon that's when it you start to look like you're using your masculine energy to get what you want instead of um what is in the best interests of everybody.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Well, I look at some them some female leaders that I know and I work with every day, and you know, sometimes I feel like I'm I'm a counselor, like they're crying on me and they don't understand what's happening. And I I full on have to, you know, break it right down to say, you know, this isn't a personal attack on you. This isn't personal. That staff member is having that reaction because, you know, you said it before, no one likes having a mirror shone in their face.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Their reaction is not a personal attack on you. You're just asking them to do something that that one, they don't they don't know how to do, or two, they think that they're doing fine. And you're telling them that they're not. It doesn't mean it's personal. And I think that emotional side of things is really hard. Really hard from a venom point of view to get past or understand.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because you don't put yourself in their shoes.

SPEAKER_04

That's right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, okay, yeah. Um, well, I I think about I think that. One thing that's been misunderstood is what happens to the feminine body. So, like let's just say we become emotional. Historic's gonna go up, right? But so is progestiline. So then when that goes up, what happens in the feminine body is it converts to cortisol and then it becomes you know a stress hormone, and then all of a sudden now we're stressed, right? And and what what do females like to do that will bring them back into the feminine energy? It might be going and hanging out with some female friends, having chats with female friends, joking around, enjoying your time without men around, right? Getting your own time. It might be the relaxing side of things, like taking a bath, right, or or something that that chills you out and allows you to be connected to your inner self, right? You can always pick it because uh the the emotional uh approach to things is so harsh when a woman is or feminine energy is out of their femininity. It's so harsh. My God. And the the the defense is is full on.

SPEAKER_04

And then the expectations of others is can be ridiculous.

SPEAKER_02

Expectations of others, or the expectations you think that other people have?

SPEAKER_04

Oh no, that you put on others, like I expect my partner to do this. And it's like, hang on, that's not reasonable at all.

SPEAKER_02

I like this one. I like this one from a lot of women. Is uh um my partner doesn't create enough emotional um safety. Well, for starters, you're responsible for your own emotions. Nobody asks this. Emotional safety, what does it even look like? I love asking that question when when women say that to me. What does emotional safety look like? They got nothing, they got nothing, nothing of substance anyway. It's always some jargon stuff that they're probably read in a book or something or heard on a podcast like this one, and uh and then they just reverberated back. It's like, yeah, but what does that mean to you? And they got nothing because they don't actually know what's going on, you know, and and I'm telling you, this happy wife, happy life shit works in both different energies, and and it's almost like um it's almost like uh when things happen that way and women have moved out of their femininity, they start to mother the boys around them and the men around them. And then they wonder why the men don't give back to them. It's because you're being my mother. Stop being my mother, be my partner, you're right? How what does that even look like? And that's a discussion you have to have in between the two of you. But if you were doing that to me and you were a mother and me, I'd be saying to you, Joe, you you you don't need to do any of that. You know, all these things that you keep trying to do and control, which essentially is what's happening because you've moved out of your femininity, then um uh all these things that you're doing to control things, actually restricting me. It's okay. You just step back and then I'll tell you, and I know I've said this a few times, go hang out with your mates, man. Get out of the house, yeah, go do something.

SPEAKER_04

Sometimes, you know, women just need a bitch.

SPEAKER_02

That's okay too, but say that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we do.

SPEAKER_02

But you know what? You can't bitch with a man, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Do you know why you need to get it out of your yeah, and you know, people do it is either with your sisters or you can do it with your mum or your family members or your girlfriends, but bitching with your spouses doesn't always work.

SPEAKER_02

No, but you but you can but say that. Just say it, just precursor, like I need a bitch, is that okay? Right? So that way they're gotten out. They're gonna they're not gonna say no, they're gonna say yes, but then they know that it's just no, no, not about me. Especially the men, they're like, it's not about me, beautiful.

SPEAKER_04

Well, sometimes it is about you, but yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But you're not coming to me with that. But anyway, so it's like um, yeah, just tell them and then bitch. The hard part is is uh I've noticed when you do that here, you're meant to join in. And I don't, yeah, I just sit down and listen to you.

SPEAKER_04

I need you to agree. So I'm not just you know, it's not just me that's feeling that way. I'm not being unreasonable.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and I think that uh you don't ever ask that question. It might be an unreasonable, you don't.

SPEAKER_04

No, um no one actually wants to know that either.

SPEAKER_02

No, I know you kind of do and you kind of don't, right? The um uh the other part is is if you go to a man and you you bitch to a man, you're bitching with a problem, and the man's gonna go, but if you just did this, because logic kicks in, if you just did this, it'll be all good. They don't want that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I don't want you to solve it. I have you just want to have a bitch.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I just want to, yeah, just clock away, and that's okay. I think that's okay. But you know what? I think that that is uh a feminine energy trait. Yeah. And uh I like that you guys can do that. It's what happens if you don't. So let's just say you don't bitch and you hold on to it, then you go create drama somewhere else. That is a problem. And I know that there was um there have been women that have come after me in the past that uh when you break it down, because I've had meetings with them, official meetings, because I've had enough of this shit. And I sit down in these official meetings and I go, okay, what's the actual issue? They go over it and it's really nothing. And then you say to them, okay, what's actually happening here? And then they tell you a non-related story about how um how things have changed in their life. That there's been a couple of them that have um uh discovered that they're gay um and move into lesbian relationships, and that's just flipped everything on its head because they left a marriage and then walked into this relationship for companionship and whatever, um, which is great. There's nothing wrong with that, but that all gets rolled into one.

SPEAKER_04

Then what's it got to do with you?

SPEAKER_02

That's right. And then when you've then I've broken it down even further because I can't help myself. As soon as I hear this shit, I'm like, I want to peek, right? And so then I ask other questions around, so what's happening in that? And then they'll tell you how both of those women are bitching about the same thing and agreeing, even though they know that it's not right, right? And then all of a sudden, that that one person has got their back up and going, yeah, I've got it right. This guy's coming down, and off they go, right? And uh, and then so the bitchiness, the bitching, not bitchiness, but the bitching has turned into reality instead of going, we're just bitching, let's just bitch, let's just burn the energy out. It's okay. Yeah, you want to bitch about me, go right ahead. I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

I think that's it, there's a snowball effect here because it starts with gossip. Yeah, starts with gossip, turns to bitching, and then it can either be that's done, got it out of my system, or if someone validates my bitching and feel that I have a grievance, then it can go nasty and explode.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, now comes a righteousness.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. What is it about the feminine energy that moves that along and women can't get past? So, you know, you you spoke about from a masculine energy that, you know, two blokes could do something, um, one gets popped in the face and they go and have a beer. Women hold those grudges, and then it's gossip, and it's bitching, and then it's backstabbing, and it can snowball so far. Well, not all women do it. Not all women, not all women do it, but it is there for a lot, and that cycle is repetitive.

SPEAKER_02

What do they get out of it? That's the question. But what does it how does it make you feel when you're a part of that?

SPEAKER_04

You might as well the feminine energy that does that.

SPEAKER_02

Why? What is it about I think because they talk more personally, on the surface level, they talk more, they talk more about that stuff, and then they'll start chatting away. And that they're not that they're not uh that far removed from men where you know don't let the truth get in the way of a good yarn. Yeah, right. This is so then let's just say we talk them more, and I'm a female too, and we're both here with our feminine energy, yapping away about some stuff about how somebody did whatever, then you don't tell me the whole truth, and then I say, that's fucked. How I've actually seen women do this, yeah, because I've have grown up around a lot of women and uh watch them, that's fucked, right? And I agree with you, right? And then they're like, Yeah, it's bullshit, right? Yeah, 100%. That is bullshit. They should never treat you that way, or that should never have happened the way it did, and then boom, it gets validated. Yeah, and off we go.

SPEAKER_04

Part of the story is being left behind.

SPEAKER_02

But then what happens is that person that agreed with them, I've seen this happen, walk away, and then bitch about that person who was just bitching or gossiping or got their shits up with at a certain event and was just venting it out. And then I've watched that person who just agreed with them bitch about that person that just told the story. I know I can that part I can never get my head around. It's like, well, why why do you entertain it then? Because appearances are important.

SPEAKER_04

Appearances are important.

SPEAKER_02

For what purpose though? And so then when I think about it, it's a more like um, what do you get out of doing that stuff? And uh it's circles.

SPEAKER_04

You see it a lot in workplaces, people trying to work out where they fit in.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. But we're talking about uh uh what I'm seeing is people that have known each other for a very long time that are friends, treat each other that way.

SPEAKER_04

Well, they are they really friends then?

SPEAKER_02

No, they're not because appearances are important, and I think that a lot of it comes from high school stuff, or girls.

SPEAKER_04

Which we spoke about, our high school and girls in high school, bad, bad stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there can be a lot of bad stuff happening there, and I think um the the difficult part is is nobody's pulling them up. No, uh, and their friends aren't pulling them up, and the dangerous part about school is especially for for females, is they've got to fit in, they've got to belong. And inside a space that you've got thousand, you know, a thousand, two thousand kids inside a small space, there's safety in numbers. So I've got to be liked. Um, plus uh it's good for my uh self-esteem to be liked. Uh I think that the hardest part is is the more the more bitchy I am, the worse my self-esteem is. That's one thing I found a lot with with uh feminine energy. The more that they talk about and bitch about other people, the worse their self-esteem becomes. Because that's all they're looking at.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

They don't understand the emotion that they're feeling and then how to manage it.

SPEAKER_04

I think that's a big one, right?

SPEAKER_02

There you don't understand it. And like I said to you said before in the last episode about how a lot of men, excuse me, would um not uh they won't identify the emotion that they're feeling, so then they equate it to anger and aggression. I think the same thing about women, that they're the same thing. They are they'll there'll be uh emotions that they misidentify, and then what they do with that, it's really bad. Like sometimes it could be um I draw you in to feel sorry for me, look after me, I need love and care, right? And then reject it. And then you've got people that just want to be loved and cared for, so they'll be a doormat to everybody, and then you have the other ones that um misidentify emotion and then go make it somebody else's problem and go dump it on someone else. Um, so really it comes down to emotion and then what is it that I want to do with it. Don't underestimate your cycle and how much that impacts that. That's a big deal. Um, a really big deal. When it gets thrown out and you um, I learned this a little while ago about femininity, and I was saying about how when you first get your period, you know, you you might get pains, you might get stabbing pains, um, it could be embarrassing to you, all that sort of stuff. You in that moment there, you could reject your femininity right there in it, because that is the most feminine thing that you could have. You only have that, right? There's no you don't share that with anybody else but females.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So um, and it's quite alien from from a man. We don't ever have that stuff. Um, obviously. If you do, you probably need to see a doctor, but um but you you get what I mean. Like so, so as soon as you start to reject that part of you, the feminine, the feminine part of you, um, the pain actually becomes worse, they reckon. Okay, I I've heard that, that the pain can get worse, um, and that leads to a whole lot of other issues like polycystic ovaries, um, uh reproductive issues because you removed yourself from your femininity. You need that.

SPEAKER_06

Interesting.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that was really interesting. I I'm like, oh, they went into it a lot more in depth, obviously, and I'm not gonna go into that here, but um that I found really interesting, and then I watched somebody um uh a mentor do a session with a person uh around the femininity, and then they all this other stuff that they had rejected as being part of the feminine stuff, they started bringing up, and then all of this uh health issues that revolve around women's issues was coming out in this session, and then he says to her, Well, how do you connect with your femininity? And she's like, I got no idea. I've never done it before. And he goes, Well, how old are you now? Well, I'm 40, whatever she was. And then he's like, When did you first get your period? And I think she might have said 13, something like that. And then he's like, So when was the last time you felt like you were a female? Like really a female? Yeah. Oh, when I was a kid, seven, eight, nine years old. So before your period, yeah. And then it just and then she's just gone, put her hands over her face, and she's just like, oh fuck, oh my god. And then he's like, Everything okay? And this was the killer. She goes, Do you reckon that is the cause of my six miscarriages?

SPEAKER_04

Wow.

SPEAKER_02

Like, fuck, wow. And he's like, What do you think? I think that might be true. And then she cries, obviously. And uh it was a such a moving thing, and then um he she hadn't had a period in months, and uh um he holds a couple of points for her, like acupoints on the body, liver related, and um, I'm telling you, two days later, legit, two days later at this training, she got a period. It's like, you know what? She comes in with this big smile on her face in front of everybody, and then she's just like, Thank you so much. I got my period today, and then everybody just started clapping, yeah, you're right, and she's like, um, but it's the first time I can remember having a period where it didn't hurt. And then so then the trainer at the time is like, okay, so um, what did you do to connect with your femininity between um now and when I held those points? And uh she's like, Well, once I finished for the day here, I went home, I took a bath, I turned my phone off, turned everything off, just shut the world out. And then uh I laid in in the bed because she was in a hotel, just laid in the bed. She goes, and I watch a chick flick, like she watched a chick flick, and then she goes, and it made me cry and made me laugh, and it made me do all this like roller coaster of emotions, which is a day-to-day thing for me anyway. And she goes, and there was just something really comfortable about that. She goes, That's all I did. Yeah, apart from the chocolate, she said.

SPEAKER_04

So but yeah, makes and it makes you wonder how many females are not connected to their femininity.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you you think about think about how many, how many people do you have you heard of having policies to go over these stuff? Heaps, heaps, heaps, man. And it'd be, I would love to know what's happening in their life that's moved them on from their femininity. How did they get overloaded? You know, we say there's a saying about women working in a man's world. They also say that essentially with the changes in the body inside a female body where testosterone goes up a little bit after menopause, uh, and then similar age, men do a their own version of menopause where testosterone comes down, right? Do they reckon that that's the best time for women to lead the world?

SPEAKER_04

Okay, interesting.

SPEAKER_02

Because everything's moving so much faster in them. Um and a decision making could be a little bit not cold, but direct and uh in the best interest of everybody. They see the logic in it. Do you get what I mean? Where up until that point, men are just 100% logic. And if you if you pay attention, that you see once men go through that change, right? They that's what I always find it funny that they call menopause, menopause, right? And then they call the the similar thing for the men, um, midlife crisis, right?

SPEAKER_04

Well, exactly menopause.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, menopause, that's exactly right. So then um, so when they do that and the testosterone goes down, you see how often they are emotional. If you watch them, um your dad did the same thing. And then if you if you watch them, the way they communicate's more emotionally connected, like in a very different place. And it's like, and then you always hear the kids that grew up underneath that man, they're always going, How come you were never like that with us? And then you then the conversation goes, Mom, you're a bit like that now. Used to be. You're a bit tougher. Yeah, you know. Um, so don't underestimate what what the cycle does for a woman. It's actually a really big deal. Um, now I'm not saying that accupoints can solve all of women's issues, but I tell you what, uh, having watched it, like, whoa, that blew the top of my head off.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

The top of my head off. I'm like, fuck, I didn't even think to even ask a thing like that. It's like a taboo thing.

SPEAKER_04

Do you think the way we are in today's society where we're just so busy juggling day-to-day life, work, kids, family, household, lifestyle, there's just no thought of that femininity. It just keeps getting pushed, and we take on the more masculine because we're doing, we're juggling so much and we're jumping in and out of different roles that it's kind of gone. It's kind of not like we already established, it's not even a thought, but that energy itself doesn't act is misplaced.

SPEAKER_02

It is a hundred percent. Um I think also, too. Um lots of things changed, right? So then the the women's lit movement changed a lot of things, and I think it stopped some things from um from being passed out, mother to daughter, like feminine femininity, right? Femininity became something that we fought for, right, instead of something that we lived. We already had, yeah, you already had liberation for sure, needed to happen because the scales were too far one way. Um, but I think that changed things, and nobody's ever really taken any responsibility for that, right? Um, and and now you look at their TikToks and stuff, right? I always find these really interesting. I'll I'll I listen to them because I I like to laugh a bit a bit. And on one hand, you see a TikTok by a woman saying how shit men are, they don't step up, where are the real men, all this sort of stuff. And then in the same breath, they're emasculating the shit out of men, right? And then you've got these other women sitting there going, if you emasculate men, they can't be meant for you, right? And and it's like opposite ends of the scale, and and I reckon there's probably an equal amount of videos and messages going out there.

SPEAKER_04

Um that's the problem. There's so much information out there that when do you come together? That conflict. Yeah, what is the right information?

SPEAKER_02

What's the right information for you? Where are you at at in your in your journey or in your life, right? What is what is right for you? That's the one thing that I think that um the feminine energy does a lot is they take too much information in and they can't work out which is the right one, right? Where men is just like, ah, mate, you're full of shit. Shut up. Right. That that they use that language. Where women is like, oh my God, that's a bit different. And then they hold on to it. And then they confer it and against something else. And then they're trying to work out which is the right one. I always think about this. What is the right one for you? What works best for you? Where is your femininity? Where does it live in your body? It might not just live in your ovaries, it might live in your heart. But where where does it live? And how do you connect with it? And then for the most part, I mean you talk about busyness and whatever. How often do you make yourself busy over bullshit stuff? Right. So to me, I think there's a mixture there of societal pressures, life pressures, and you know what? I'm just not used to sitting still and doing the right thing for myself. So that that that to me, um, there's a mixture in that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And what's my responsibility and what's you know, what's life's responsibility? What about the life I created for myself? If I want to have more femininity, what will that look like for you? What does what did it what was it like watching your mum when you were growing up? Right? You might hear Amelia making noises in the background. Um, but she um but what what was it like watching your mum growing up? You know, when you were growing up, what was it that you saw in her that was really feminine? Don't connect with that. Don't underestimate what's been a hand down. I think our generation is probably one of the last ones where they could watch a mother be a mother instead of being a whole bunch of other things as well as being a mother. Um, I think that our parents' uh generation was one of the first to really be both men and women working because they had no choice. Um yeah, and you know what? Men in this world that came before us, guys are fuckheads, because you helped create the lack of safety in women, because you were shit. If you're older, if you're an older gentleman, fuck you. Because ultimately, it helped kickstart a whole bunch of shit, like where women didn't feel safe, they couldn't trust you because you'd knock them off and then you go running away.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, or you couldn't communicate.

SPEAKER_02

Look at my dad, look at my mum, right? My dad didn't even know I was born, yeah. What the hell? And he wouldn't have been the most safest person to be around at that time either, from what I understand, from getting to know him. Um, and so then it's like, well, what did you what did you do? And then you look at the life that was difficult for my mom, difficult for my family. You look at that and it's like, you did this too, dear kid. Um, which I said in no uncertain terms to him before he passed. Oh, this would life wouldn't have been like that if I was around motherfucker, it would have been worse. You're a shit lake. Yeah, right. So, and then you look at it and you say, Okay, well, did my mum have to remove herself from her femininity? The answer's probably yes. She would have had to have.

SPEAKER_04

So now she also had you very young, so she was still a child herself.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, yeah. Was she 18 when she had me? Uh, yeah, she would have would have been difficult. She was still growing up. Had to grow up quick, otherwise, grandparents give you hiding.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yeah, it's a it's a really interesting topic and and juggling the different feminine and masculine energy. Yes, we have both. Yes, we can use both, but it's also knowing what it what are our strengths and how can we lead through that strength.

SPEAKER_02

Nurture for for feminine energy, it's all about nurture. The difficult part is for a lot of feminine energy, they're a bit like um in Chinese medicine, they have um five elements and that they're very earth earth-oriented, where it's all about connecting to the core, right? And for the most part, they got the easy bit, they can do the nurture external, right? But when it gets to come back to them, that they kind of reject it a little bit. Yeah, and I think that that rejection of care and and nurture back to you is another way of you blocking your femininity because femininity needs to be cared for. You did this whole idea of independence has removed you from the care, yeah, receiving care, receiving love. Um I I know of uh we we knew a person who's past now. She she nurtured everybody, cared for everyone, loved everyone. It was great. And the moment you went and bought her a present or something like that, or gave something back to her, she was so uncomfortable and she rejected it and pushed it back. It was like, you can take that back, go get your money back. And then when you wouldn't go take it back, she'd go upstairs, pull cash out from her safe, and then go give you cash back. It's like, I don't want it, I don't want it, I want this for you. I love you. Um, good just full-on rejected her, yeah. And so to me, I think that there is um as much as you can nurture outwardly, you can nurture inwardly and and respect what comes back. And if we think about leading from nurture, think of the questions you could ask people to get the outcome you want rather than telling them like men would. Men tell, men direct, because they have to be. That's just the way they are. If from a feminine energy perspective, if I'm using nurture, I might say, What's happening here for you that's blocking you from doing the thing that we need you to do? Then they'll tell you a whole story, and then the feminine energy will be listening with empathy, and then they would say, Okay, so if we were able to take care of this part of this for you, would that make things differently? Would this would this be different for you? Yes, it would. Okay, cool. How can you do that yourself as well? Right? And that's all nurture because it's not, I'm not telling you how to do your job, I'm not telling you how to go about your life, but I am gonna work with you. Yeah. Where men would be more like, what's going on, man? And the dude would tell you what's going on, and then it'd be like, Well, in the uh work environment, you don't we don't do that, we don't behave like that here. You're gonna need to go sort out your own stuff and then get back to work. Let's go. Right? It's colder, it's more direct. It's like, I don't have time for your shit. Go sort out your own shit so you can come here and do this work that I'm paying you for. When we hear women speak like that, you know there's no nurture. But if they did nurture, I'm 100% going back to that person. I'm 100% um going to elevate that leader, regardless whether they're female or male. If you're female and you do that, you'll kick goals, mate. CEO, whatever you want.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and the really good senior execs that I've seen do do that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Uh well, you know, I was talking before and I wasn't referring to every female senior executive. The ones that succeed do that. Yeah, man. And they're fantastic leaders, and they're the people everyone want to go work for.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. And then all of a sudden they create these raving fans.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

The people that work with them. And that's the way you feel. You don't feel like you're working under them, you feel like you're working with them. Uh, and I love that about the feminine energy when it leads well because it makes it feel like we are one big family. And I got your back, and you've got my back, and we're all good, man. Um, that's that's one thing that I think that um male leaders can influence um feminine leaders um when they are connected to their femininity, do naturally, and it comes so easy to it's not influence at all. They don't have to try. No, I love that about them.

SPEAKER_04

Everyone's on the train with them.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, man. I love that about them. Um, so if you're a female leader, connect to your femininity, trust your heart space, and you'll be all good. You're not in a man's world, you don't understand. Yeah, you've got the control that men don't have.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, don't need to be.

SPEAKER_02

Nope. You're playing a completely different game. And the men don't they don't even know that there is a game being played and that there are rules to it. But feminine females do, because they created them and they can kick the shit out of everybody with just nurture and care. I love that about them. I love it. Makes you feel really welcome and um almost feels like when they do it properly, can almost feel like um it's a home away from home. I'm not just working, I'm working towards something bigger than myself. That's what I think feminine leaders can do. Yeah, so yeah, it's not all bitchiness and stuff. No, it's not, it's bigger than that. No, way better than that. When you're in flow, and believe me, women need to be in flow. Um, I I've I've also heard that when uh females sometimes feel like their their flow is blocked by a man, have a think about this. Uh uh. If you are if if you're uh a female and you're more feminine in your relationship, regardless with the same sex relationship or heterosexual relationship, watch who has control at home. I'll guarantee you it's you. So if you have control at home against the masculine energy at home, why can't you have it in a business? Think about the game you're playing. You probably feel you're probably tired at the end of the day. Um, wake up with a whole heap of energy in the morning, then tired, cooked in the at the end of the day, because you've used up all your energy trying to play a man's game instead of looking at okay, from a female perspective, how do I do this? It requires nurture, care, and respect. So um not doing the man thing. Don't do that. Don't do that. It'll care. You got any questions, Sher?

SPEAKER_04

No, interesting topic.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you're just sitting there. I don't know, I don't know what to say.

SPEAKER_04

I can, you know, I've got lots of thoughts, obviously.

SPEAKER_00

But um I'd love to hear them.

SPEAKER_04

No, no, it just you know, it comes back to the everyday person that's doing your nine to five, come back with chaotic kids, um, chaotic family life, and navigating your way through the energies.

SPEAKER_02

We when mums are safe, kids are not safe. That is the truth. In the work I've done, I can't tell you how many kids I've worked with, it'd be off the charts. Um, and in every case, when there is a child that's bouncing off the walls, ADHD like um or aggressive or whatever, if they're if they're little boys, mum is not safe. Which tells us the story because I've interviewed a few of them, and then you go, well, mum right now has moved into a uh a masculine energy to create that safety, yes, and so then um the children didn't get the nurture. So um I always think about this way if mum's safe, kids safe. Uh I I don't necessarily say it more, I say it more like if when we solve the parent problem, we solve the kid problem. Because the parent problem could be two energies going in the opposite direction. So man going into feminine, feminine going into masculine.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Right. And so when we take care of that, a hundred percent of the time this is true, in my work, that has solved the problem for the child. And it didn't take that long. No meds.

SPEAKER_04

Interesting.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, chew on that. Um all good?

SPEAKER_04

Oh good.

SPEAKER_02

You happy?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, two big, two big subjects there.

SPEAKER_02

They are big. Um, and some of it might rub you up against you the wrong way.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, that's okay. There's nothing wrong with that. Um, but understand why. Why has it and which way you're looking at it is important. This is just an opinion based on the work I've done here with clients that I've seen happen.

SPEAKER_04

And the research and study that you've done today.

SPEAKER_02

And the research and study I've done. Yes. And this is what it tells us. Yeah, it's it's removed from the medical model. Um, it's more of a uh a personal model. Um and in what what that looks like in society rather than medical model, you feel this way, we give you this medication. It it's removed from that. Um, so and that's the hardest part. That's all we hear.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Right, that's all we hear.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, give me a diagnosis, give me a medicine to fix it.

SPEAKER_02

Yep. Yep. And then we can blame it for how we're feeling and how we're thinking and behaving. Fantastic. Winner. All good? All good. All right. Did you want to go over the goals that we set two goals?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so last episode we didn't do goals because we went well over time. Um, so going back to the previous episode before that, um, I think your goal was around the team bonding thing. The team bonding thing you did.

SPEAKER_06

Yes.

SPEAKER_04

And trying to make sure everyone got something out of it, or you you actually got them to participate.

SPEAKER_02

It was an interesting night, actually. Um look, some uh some may be good, some may be shit.

SPEAKER_04

Um it's always a difficult thing in team bonding sessions. People, some people uh get right into it and other people are still reserved and go, I'm not sharing shit.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it wasn't really more, it wasn't we didn't do much on sharing. Um we did more activity-based to show the teams where the gaps were, and it highlighted a lot of stuff. Um, wasn't about sharing, it was more about um uh just highlighting those gaps, and then then the adults got to see how some of the younger kids in the teams were like leading the teams.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And I don't think that really went down well.

SPEAKER_04

So that's interesting in itself.

SPEAKER_02

That was very interesting, and I really enjoyed that part of highlighting that to them. Did yeah, it was sort of like just give myself high five was great. Um, but yeah, what was yours?

SPEAKER_04

Uh, mine must be a better friend to breach out.

SPEAKER_02

And how'd you go?

SPEAKER_04

Uh I've been texting um one of my friends. Um, I haven't been getting around to all of them, but um texting one of my friends quite a few times in the last few weeks. So that has been good. Haven't been able to set a date to catch up because life life does get in the way because it's like I'm only free this weekend. They're like, Well, I'm not free that weekend, how about you do it in four weeks' time? And then something else comes up, and it's just never ending.

SPEAKER_03

But anyway, you guys are better off doing video calls on a night with a coffee, it's with and then you add in a third friend, and it's just sorry, it's never aligned anyway. Text messaging has been okay.

SPEAKER_01

That's okay, that's all right. Yeah, nothing wrong with that. You got a goal for this week?

SPEAKER_04

Um, I really don't know why we keep doing this.

SPEAKER_02

No, me neither. I don't I'll tell you one thing. Yeah, I kept saying that I had a goal of switching over to a new system.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you said you achieved that last session last time. Yeah, but I had to like 95% of the way there or something.

SPEAKER_02

Yep, completely there now. So that's all good. Yep. Um, yeah, and sign up to a group of counselors um that uh help market each other.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah, it's that that's kicking off shortly, isn't it?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, next week. Awesome. Um that business is called Life Supports, it's really good. So if you got, you know, they've got counselors in your area, which is the idea, so that way you don't have to travel as far, which is good. Um, covering most of the northern suburbs up here. Um, so that's really cool. That's really cool. Uh, but in terms of goals, I don't know if I have one.

SPEAKER_04

Got some sporting stuff coming up. Too much sporting stuff, too much sporting stuff where we're going to be traveling interstate. Yeah, I'll be working in the car, which is fantastic. Look, we're driving, and then we go, Oh, you I'm always driving.

SPEAKER_02
