The Icebergology™ of Life with Rob Jackson
I've spent four decades sitting with people who couldn't explain why they kept doing what they kept doing. They weren't weak. They weren't faithless. They were living on the surface of their own lives — managing what was visible while something much older and much deeper ran the show underneath.
Most of what we call spiritual growth is actually behavior management. We resolve. We try harder. We confess the same thing again. And the cycle continues — not because God is absent, but because we haven't yet gone to the place where the real work happens.
This podcast goes there.
The Icebergology™ of Life is a Christ-centered exploration of the interior life — the thoughts, emotions, and desires that form everything visible about us. Each episode descends one layer deeper, from reactive behavior down through distorted thinking, damaged emotion, and disordered desire, all the way to the surrender that makes genuine transformation possible. Not sin management. Not behavior modification. What the indwelling Spirit can actually do in a life that has stopped pretending.
Dallas Willard called it the renovation of the heart. Henri Nouwen called it the return of the prodigal to himself. Larry Crabb called it moving from the outside in. I call it Icebergology — and after four decades of watching it work in the lives of people who had tried everything else, I believe it is the most honest account of how people actually change.
If you are tired of the cycle — of knowing better and doing it anyway, of resolving and relapsing, of confessing the same thing again — this podcast is for you.
New here? Start with Episode 01. Ten minutes. It may be the most honest ten minutes you spend this week.
