So main this is mainly gonna be that there's a lot of Disney stuff that we've learned this week. plenty of universal stuff too. It's mainly just universal and Disney stuff. But it's our favorite. I mean, what's not to love about Universal and Disney stuff?

Always good news. The I think the worst news that's going on at the moment is the fact that I made a mistake last week.

Um It was an honest mistake. I got I I thought that the Frozen Ever After ride was in the Japan Disneyland or Disney World. We should probably check Disney Shang. No my goodness. Um put a flag here, Ethan, for me to just check what it is. Tokyo Disney, excuse me. Okay, yeah. I I thought it was at Tokyo Disney. It's actually at the the Disney and Hong Kong. Very different countries, not the same things at all. I just wanted to correct that, give myself the fact check there. And yeah, it's a lot better than us going in and editing the episodes and replacing it with me going Hong Kong in place of the Japans.

Yeah, I guess. So our favorite coaster of the year seems to be having a lot of problems this year, and it's not looking good right now. Stardust Racers is closed.

Um, there's a problem though. There's a lot of online speculation with Universal right now where they announced it as regularly scheduled maintenance. But from what I understand, that ride has been having issues like all year. And they kind of the the big thing is you've seen this, right? Let's let's look back at Jurassic Park River Adventure. Regularly scheduled maintenance is announced, right?

This wasn't announced, this just happened out of the blue.

Yeah, there was there wasn't like a heads up or anything like that. I kind of just closed it and then now it's just been closed.

It just happened, and then they said, guys, this is regularly scheduled maintenance. So that's just kind of weird. That's that's all I wanted to point out.

I oh man, I'm so excited. I from what from what I've seen on inside sources, it's looking like it's not getting that Jurassic World retheme. Thank God. Now it there's we don't it could happen, but it's probably not going to happen.

Well, the Orlando culture is just really protective of that ride. They really want it to stay. As it should. That's kind of like, you know, that's kind of Island of Adventures ET, isn't it?

Whatever, we don't care. I'm still gonna call it. I I still stand by my sentiment on treating it like the classic attraction it is with E.T. In fact, we're gonna get into it later about ET because ET, my ooh, we got some good news about E.T.

I can't wait to tell you. We got some real good news about ET. So, where were we? so the thing with the Sardos Racers, from the inside sources that I've been reading and checking out, it you can't find it anywhere online at the moment, but it looks like that they're replacing each bolt. Or at least this is a theory. The theory is that mock rides is kind of just going, hey, we have better bolts, let's get them more fastened, let's prevent the idea of the ride having more problems later. And you know, there's that whole thing with steel. I'm no expert, but you know, steel gets hot and cold, it expands and then shrinks, and there's just that whole other higher level that we don't think about at all as a casual writer. So it's it's always funny to me. Oh man, shout out shout out that big universe Facebook group. You you know those those people love to praise the park.

But we're not gonna get it, we've already got into all that. But the main thing is that they need Stardust Racers to be ready by summer. This is gonna be a big deal.

Yeah, park is would have been is gonna be about a year open old summer breaks happening. It's like you know, a year in. Because all the content creators are probably gonna make their one-year like retrospect in the park, like Epic Universe one year later, and then talk about it. That might not be a terrible idea.

The regularly scheduled maintenance is weird. They could be replacing each bolt. there could be some other stuff that nobody else thinks about. The main thing that I think does kind of suck for people while that ride is closed is that I mean most of your ticket value is that coaster in itself, in my opinion. Right?

Well, you're like paying 200 bucks to go in that park?

Uh no, no, no, no, no. I mean, after taxes, maybe. I think the tickets are around like 160, 170 most of the time.

Of course it's worth table noises. Of course it's worth it. Um another park that's having a lot of issues right now. But not the same issues as Epic, but you know, we got Animal Kingdom in Disney World. It's having issues where they got some of their primetime stuff closed down at the moment.

So they were thinking about how they could spice it up a little, and turns out they were like, okay, let's acquire the rights to Bluey. Now they have Bluey in the park.

Uh speaking of Disney World, have you heard anything about this villain's land?

Not particularly. I think it's been in like construction for like years now, right?

Well, their their CEO has told the Imagineers recently that he wants them to get bigger and bolder with the concept of the ride now. So, think of this. Imagine a ride kind of similar to Monsters Unchained. It's a it's a Omni Mover type.

But you're encountering each Disney villain.

Oh, that'd be sick.

Right. Well, they're not doing that now.

Allegedly. Well, the CEO's making them this is just speculation, of course, but from what we understand, the CEO's making them kind of scrap the idea and rethink just something bigger, and he's basically told them that budget is secondary now, and he just wants to make something amazing.

What if they do like a battle of ministry type of ride?

You know, no, it's not terrible. The you know, the original concept was supposed to be kind of like a thing where the villains were just kind of upset. They're like, hey, this is our park too. Why are we why are we in the back corner?

Is there a Fantasia ride? No. Dang that's such a missed that's such a missed opportunity.

You're just like getting like getting a movie, and then it says coming soon to theaters, and then it just has this like cool, this cool trailer, and you're like, I need to go see that, and then you're just stuck in this in the loop of that.

And then we got DVDs, and then we discovered the skip button, and we can just skip the commercials.

Almost unfun. Almost as unfun as modern as modern like movie like menus.

Well, when I had my VHSs, the little movie trailers beforehand, I kind of just you know you're watching the tape, so you just hit play and you just you're not gonna fast forward through, you're just gonna kinda wait for the movie to play.

I think I kind of used that time to kind of settle in. I kind of you know got myself ready for the movie, probably got them.

Yeah, I mean, like the trailers at the beginning of movies and like theaters kind of serve the same purpose, and I kind of vibe with it, like yeah. It's just like the literally the same thing. But the menus of old movies, like the very the inter-interactive ones. How are we even gonna explain that to children in 20 years? Um touch screen but with a button.

Oh, that was so sick. Do you remember You couldn't touch the screen? Dude, I remember the poom the the Simone and Poomba one. And there was like a mini game in the menu, bro.

No, we didn't. The main thing with this villain's land ride again was that the the new CEO wants them to treat this new villain's land ride like it's the newest flagship ride. They kind of needed to have that same impact that rise of resistance, dwarf, seven dwarf mind train, cosmic rewinded. Basically, every time a new ride opens, they need it to be the biggest thing ever.

What was our last flagship? Was it Cosmic Rewind or was it Tron? Ooh, let me think.

I th Tiana's Bayou. I no, they just redid test track. That I don't think that counts. No, I don't think that counts either. Well then Tiana's Bayou doesn't count either because that was just Splash Mountain before that was offensive. God, everything's offensive. No, I'm kidding, I'm not doing that. I'm just joking.

All I know is Tron and Cosmic Rewind were both rides that I had to pay Lightning Lane for. That's all I know.

But what you won't know is it's actually a reflection where it's a slanted mirror and the animatronic is actually under you. And then they do this thing where the mirror turns and then it shows an actual animatron. It's a one-sided mirror. It turns around and then it shows the actual animatronic behind. For example, in the and I'm I'm not wrong on this one, this in in one of the Japanese oh crap. I better make sure, dude. The beauty and the beast ride. Oh, it's just the beauty and the beast ride. Do you remember where the beast actually turns into the human? No. You haven't seen that movie? I don't remember it. You don't remember him turning into the person?

One side a mirror, and then one of them is either under you, behind, or above, it but you're not gonna see it. You're gonna see it through the mirror reflection, and then the mirror does a thing where it turns, and then the other one behind kind of appears. So you could do that with Maleficent in a dragon. It's easy for me to tell the guys that actually do it to do it.

Well, she's probably like the best Disney villain. How many of these Disney villains do you think they're actually gonna have in the villain land? Yeah, they might seem like they're all into it right now. Like, oh yeah, there's the there's the guy that's do we know how many villains are there gonna be? How many villains? Yeah. Well, we know for sure Hades, Ursula, Cinder not Cinderella, Corella de Ville is what I meant to say.

Well, I I kinda almost feel like they're gonna have a lot of what they already do in the Oogie Boogie parade. Or the event. You know the you know that event where they have all the character meet and greets you can do, you can talk to all the villains. Well, not not even really talk to them. I mean you can interact with them, but they kinda it's hard to explain what that thing is, but it's a really cool event. I think it's oh it's Oogie Boogie Bash, is what was what it's called. And you you can walk to almost like ten different stages, and it's like these really, really fantastic sets and costume designs that like they had doofenschmarts last year.

The thing is that we're not gonna see this villain's land until they make cars land.

No, not even close, dude. Cars is easily one of their highest grossing franchises like ever. It's it and especially in Toys. When they originally made the movie, I I'm not gonna name any names because I don't want to try to be like I'm the factual guy here again, casual enthusiast here, but basically the long story short was they were like, What is the most common thing that boys want to buy? What's the easiest thing we can sell to kids? And then they're like, Oh, cars. And they're like, Oh, let's just throw faces on cars, and then they made the movie. I swear to god, that's how it happened.

Oh, I love that story. Did you know that when Owen Wilson watches cars with his kids, which is like maybe one time because he's never around his kids, but when I love the story. When he was with his kid, and this is a story I think he told on Ellen, so take it with a grain of salt. I don't even think it was on Ellen, but whatever. Anyways, apparently his kids don't believe that it's him. Like they don't believe Lightning McQueen is him. He's like, that's me. And they're like, no, it's not. And that's just so funny to me.
