Rob Gilbert

Rob Gilbert is Supply Chain Director at Great British Energy and a Partner at Baringa Partners, where he has spent the past 11 years working across energy policy, industrial strategy, and consulting. At GBE, he leads supply chain development and the “Energy Engineered in the UK” programme, connecting inward investment and manufacturing capacity to the UK’s clean energy transition. Rob’s career has spanned public and private sectors, from early experience witnessing manufacturing offshoring in North Nottinghamshire to advising governments and investors on how to build lasting industrial capability through the energy transition. He writes and speaks on why the UK must use this moment to rebuild industrial depth — not just deploy clean energy, but engineer and manufacture it at home.
