Welcome to Human Services Stories Management Customer and Staff Voices. I'm Clinton Lewis and I'm glad you're here. You show us about the people behind the work, the manager, staff, customers, and communities who care, support, and help one another move forward. And this episode is called Grace in the Hard Days. Not every day is going to go smoothly. Some days are going to be frustrating, emotional, and exhausting. That is true in human services and it is also true in life. Just remember, hard days happen. On hard days, it is easy to get impatient with yourself or others, but those are the days when grace matters the most. In those times, grace can sound like this is hard, and I'm still learning. That person is struggling too. And I can do this one step at a time. No situations you have to offer what you need. Often grace, the grace that you extend to others is the same grace that you need to extend to yourself. You are allowed to make mistakes, learn slowly, rest, and try again tomorrow. It is grace that keeps you going. Grace helps you stay human in a work that can sometimes feel too big to carry alone. It reminds you that you don't need to be perfect, to be effective, and to help others. For a coaching moment called What Grace Do I Need? Ask yourself number one, what do I need grace for today? Number two, what can I release instead of carry? And number three, how can I offer more grace to someone else? Then say to yourself, I can meet the hard days with grace. Again, I can meet the hard days with grace. Thank you for listening to Human Services Stories Management Customer Staff Voices. Remember, give grace, receive grace, and keep moving forward. And always you got this.
