And this episode is called From Burnout to Balance: A Manager's Toolkit. Managers carry extra weight. You're responsible for decisions, policy, staff, families, and outcomes. That can lead to burnout if you don't build imbalance. Recognizing burnout. Burnout shows up in different ways. Irritability, emotional numbness, lack of motivation, or feeling like you've lost your purpose. If you're feeling this way, it's not a sign that you're failing. It's a sign that you've been caring a lot. Let's look at some practical balance strategies. You can move forward towards balance by setting real expectations for yourself and your team, delegating what you don't need to do, protecting your time for rest, and checking in with your own values and purpose. Balance is not about doing less work, it's about doing your work with more clarity, focus, and care. When managers are burned out, teams often feel it. When managers are grounded, teams often feel that too. Remember, you set the tone. You can choose to leave with calm, clarity, and compassion. Ask yourself number one, what is the one thing that always drains me at work and how can I reduce its impact? Number two, what is one practice that helps me recharge and how can I protect time for it? And number three, when can I delegate so I can focus on what matters the most?
