Like we had one of these big ass wooden TVs. You know the TV that comes in a wooden box? And that shit used to just sit there. Yo, I got a picture. I got a picture with that TV. I gotta I gotta find that picture. Uh, I don't know, man. I don't know. There's just too many of them. I don't know. I could go ahead and be like, yeah, tax reads. Okay. Here we go. It lines up, and you hear like the narration from like Rod Serling and then the music, but it you know, it it's the basic premise, but you're like, you know, obviously at the end of the movie, he's looking up at the Statue of Liberty and like ah, like it works.

I had to be like six or seven years old watching this shit. You know what I'm saying? Like for real. I always really I had to be really young, bro.

Which really, when I found it, it's a big record right now, you know. Like a two, three hundred dollar record. Uh, but when I found that it was just a bugged out record, you know, and this was like this is real early, you know, maybe like 2001 or something like that. 2002. Uh then another one is uh the Long Beach Southern Air. Which is a very rare record. Uh record people know about it. I don't know if it's I I don't know. I sold my copy. I sold it for I sold it for way too cheap, you know. Because it's a really rare record. I've it's something you'll never see again, you know. And it was signed the whole the record was signed by the band. Anyway, that's another that's another joint that I got out there. And then one of my most favorite records I got out there in a box of records that was given to me uh by a friend of my mother's. Um and I still have that record with me as in uh what is that? Not even gonna say the name or what I'm not even gonna, you know what I mean? Like that one I'm not gonna give up because Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But that's a real that's a real rare one, man. That's a it's out of Pittsburgh. You know? And it's one of them records you can only get, you was only able to get at the show type shit. And it's a sleeper, man. It's a sleeper. It still hasn't, you know, like it still hasn't made its official rounds yet. And that's good. That's good. That's another record. Um man, boy, there's so many of them, bro. There's so many, man. Billy Wooden. Uh Billy Wooden and Friends. I had gotten out there when nobody cared about it. You know what I mean? Like, I had a gang of records early on. That, you know, that are crazy now, but nobody cares. Yo, I I out of the yo, bro, I used to get records out of the thing. I don't know if you're familiar with the thing, but it was a spot I think they're still around. It was uh it was a junk store in um in Greenpoint in Brooklyn. And yo, man, I used to be there like I used to be there every week. You know, there was a time where I was I'm I had to be there like maybe like several times a week. And I would just get good records, and not anything that was, and this is like maybe 15 close to close to 20 years ago. Uh maybe about 15 years ago, maybe a little bit more. So all of those things they weren't, they were regular, I was picking regular records up, but I was like, oh, this is dope. Like, right, listen to this. And these are records that have become like expensive records, you know what I mean? Like that's crazy.

Cause it got all right, so it's David Newman. Newman is a it's a cheap record, man, but it's dope, man, because the it it's uh the band is David Newman on saxophone, Roy Ayers on Vibrophone, Herbert Man off Blue. Um it's a dope record and it got. There's two Roy Air joints on it. That uh that uh that uh that are pretty um they're pretty famous, well-known Roy Aints. But uh this is the first time ever played. So he got well he didn't do yeah, yeah, he did Foxy Brown. So he there's a cover of Fox. Well, I don't know, I think it might have came out, I don't know if it came out before or after Foxy Brown. But but he got a cover of Foxy Brown on there, right? And then there's I'm pretty sure the original sweet key. And yo, man, oh man, look, look, yo, go listen to that shit. David Newman, Newmanism, sleeper, man, sleeper. And somebody got this fucking record that be telling me that I'll be taking a record. You got my record. Alright, we keep that over here. It was weeks before it came out. And I just I so uh we went to Queens, I was with my people. I used to hang out with the older kids, right? You know what I'm saying? The older dudes from the neighborhood. I'm 15, everybody's 20, you know, so I'm like, even though I got a beard, like I got a I got a full beard, I used to lie about my age and shit, you know. Um so you know, we was hip to the to the singles came out, criminology. Oh, criminology was crazy. And then um, so my man was like, yo, we're gonna go out to Queens and lick up with Ratata and his older brother and all of that. And these dudes was like heavy, it was heavy, bro. Like these dudes was heavy, you know? So like we go, we we go meet up, and it's like three of us. We're like young, younger kids going to hang out with the the official dude. Right, right. So we go over there and it's like they got Lexus's parked up. Now I'm 15, bro. You know what I'm saying? I'm 15. Lexus bins, motherfuckers got chains on, and I'm just like, oh shit. Now I'm I'm fresh. Like by this time, I was already fresh. I was like, I already knew what to do with it. Like, you know, I was it it was I was starting to put it together at that time. And I just remember like, yo, I'm like, yo, because I hear the joints, right? So I'm hearing, I'm hearing songs that I've already heard, and then I start hearing shit I haven't heard. And I'm like, yo, I'm like, is this the is this the what is this? It's like yo, this is the new Waycorn album. My brother knows him, or some shit like that. Yeah, man, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I was like, yo, I felt so cool, you know? Like, that's the thing about uh that's the thing about, you know, how I came up and and where I'm from, because like we felt like we were really a part of that shit. Mm-hmm. Absolutely. SPEAKER_04I didn't understand, like, that these people like really like lived like I would see people, like as a kid, I would see people all the time. Right. You know what I mean? And I didn't get it that because there was nothing but New York. Right. To me. Before I left, you know? I didn't know nothing else. I thought New York was the world to me. You couldn't, you couldn't tell me nothing else, you know. Um yeah, so the summer of 95, man. And I've had some, listen, I've had some other other really, really enjoyable summers as an adult, man, you know, as a as a 30-year-old in my 30s, in my 40s, you know?

And yo, man, I remember, bro, when my father gave me his 45s, he was like things like cooler in the game, jungle boogie, and just regular shit like that. And I would hear these little beats, man. You know? I would hear these little pieces, and I didn't know what was going on at the time. I was very young. I was still like, you know, I was young Fisher Price, Fisher Price uh uh turntable and all of that.
