Welcome to Anatomy of an End, a raw, honest, and uncompromised look at suicide prevention, mental health advocacy, and the systemic failures of our emergency response infrastructure. Hosted by a citizen advocate and a seasoned clinician and forensic psychological consultant, this podcast strips away the sanitized scripts and societal taboos to look directly at the mechanics of crisis.

Each episode uses the framework of a psychological autopsy to dissect real case studies. We examine the invisible behavioral patterns, personal shame, and institutional voids that lead to a tragic end. But we don't stop at the autopsy. Our mission is to translate profound loss into actionable prevention.

By bringing the heavy, unspoken realities of depression, isolation, and psychological trauma into a casual, frank, and approachable space, we are building an army of allies. We are shifting the burden of prevention off the shoulders of loss survivors and putting it back into the social zeitgeist.

Davis Henry is the producer and co-host of Anatomy of an End. He believes that suicide prevention begins with the willingness to have frank, honest, and compassionate conversations about subjects many people find uncomfortable. By helping translate decades of forensic psychological experience into conversations accessible to everyone, Davis hopes to challenge stigma, dismantle myths, and encourage listeners to better recognize and respond to those who may be struggling.

D. Edward Tatum is a recognized authority on suicidality with over 36 years of experience operating at the darkest intersections of forensic psychology and criminal justice. As the Clinical Director for the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Mental Health Task Force and a consultant for the FBI/GBI Metro Atlanta Threat Management Team, Dana has spent a lifetime in rooms that most people will never enter.
Throughout his career, he has conducted more than 308 psychological autopsies, the exact forensic framework used to deconstruct the "why" behind the cases on Anatomy of an End. His expertise in threat management has led to post-event consultations in major mass violence events, including the clinical supervision of the perpetrators behind the Marjory Stoneman Douglas and Colorado Springs shootings. On the mic, Dana brings a career’s worth of clinical rigor, stripping away sanitized institutional narratives to reveal the raw, evidence-based reality of a suicidal crisis.
