You will always have these boulders in your journey that pop up on your path, right? But when you have the target, it's like you're going there anyways. It doesn't matter what comes up.

SPEAKER_03

I would be front and center, supporting my patients all day long, giving all the health advice. And then as we know, patients' families like to just shower you in biscuits. And I would just known as like the biscuit hoarder, I swear. Like I would eat tons of biscuits all day.

SPEAKER_04

All day. Just that. I used to put it in like my little tunic pockets where you fall.

SPEAKER_01

You're gonna have dates where you fall off, but in order to have a long-term relationship with your goals, then you have to be able to be honest with yourself.

SPEAKER_00

It's probably something that nurses struggle the most with saying one thing, doing another. And it's so freeing, Gallant, when you can actually just be yourself no matter what the situation is. Hello, hello, and welcome back to the Fitness Diaries podcast. And I'm so excited because look, I have our beautiful coaches in the room right now, and I wanted to bring them in because we're all in Miami together, which is amazing. And I truly believe that transformation is not what people think it is. So in this episode, we're gonna talk about how the transformation to becoming your best version, becoming that 2.0 version of yourself, which is literally like it's you, but it's a future version of you. It's like everything you ever desired, like the person you want to be, that is what we're unlocking today. And getting the perspective from all these women in the room who have been on their own transformations. I want to know from them just like what that actually means to them and how we can actually help you be able to be like, hey, you know what? My transformation, this is how I can do it, and this is what it looks like because it is not just physical. Everyone thinks it's physical. They're like coming into a fitness program and they're like, okay, if I do the workout plan, I do the meal plan, I am gonna get that transformation. No, babe, it's so much deeper than that, and it actually should be deeper. So that's what we're gonna cover today in this episode. So let's go. Woo! All right, cool. So we have Ellie in the house. Let's go, make some noise. Let's go. Okay. We got Maddie. Okay, we got Elise. Okay, amazing. And you guys know who I am. All right, so let's get into it right away. Like, I'll start to begin with like what transformation is to me. And transformation to me is going on a journey, going on a journey that is hard because you want to go through your hero journey. Okay, and your hero journey is not gonna be easy. So it's going to be grappling, it's going to be um hitting rock bottom at times, it's going to be it is, it literally is. Um, it's not gonna be easy, but the glow-up is amazing. Um, that's what transformation is to me, and everyone's gotta go through a different transformation. And I truly believe that your life here on earth, you're supposed to go through all these trials and tribulations, and people think that those trials and tribulations or like what holds you down, or like, woe is me, like I have this life known, babe. Like that was supposed to be your life, your hero story. That's what makes you you like that's so beautiful about life is to go through hard things. So that is transformation to me. What is that to you?

SPEAKER_02

Transformation for me is about leave letting go of the past and embodying that future version of you, your dreams, desires, everything that you want to achieve for yourself is your 2.0. And I think it's just being able to actually what I spoke about with my clients today, letting go of something last week, letting go of the past or something that wronged you, and focusing on what you know you can achieve in the future and locking in every day, achieving that um and going all in. Love that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I love that so much. When I when I think about transformation and what actually creates it, it's exactly as you say, it's that identity, it's where it is. But we like like we really need to drill down into exactly what that is, and this is something that we did at the Miami retreat. Like, we asked the girls to explain and to think about every single detail, like even down to like the way that they smelled and like the music that they listened to and all the things. And the reason why the thing is the more that we the more than we imagine it and we truly visualize it, it's it's almost like marking that X on a map, right? And this is the way that somebody explained it to me when I was a lot sooner in my journey and I've never forgotten it. Like, imagine like our comfort zone is like the mainland, and there's somewhere we want to get to, like an island. And we use this analogy a lot within the fitness movement about getting on the boat. But the thing is, is if you don't have a very clear understanding of where it is that you want to go, the direction that you need, like the the end goal of what you want. Like the second that a little bit of wind goes in your sails, you're gonna be going this way, you can be going that way, you can be going that way. And these are like the hardships, the obstacles of of life, especially, especially even more so when you do decide that you want more from life, it just seems like those obstacles like come like over and over again. So that's why it's so important to to drill down into exactly who she is, so that even when the twists and the turns come and like the wind gets knocked out of your sails, you can get up so much quicker and just keep on going towards that transformation. And ever since I've heard that, I've never like I've never been able to unhear it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I love that idea because it's it's actually like you will always have these boulders in your journey that pop up on your path, right? But when you have the target, it's like you're going there anyways. It doesn't matter what comes up, and when you become that person that's like, I don't care what is in my path right now, I'm going over it, I'm breaking through it, I'm going under it, I'm digging a hole, I'm getting resourceful to be able to get there. That's how you actually truly like transform. And like that's you should expect that. You should expect in your journey all these hard things because that if you don't expect it, like every single time you're gonna restart another plan, restart another plan, go into the next program because you were like, Oh, when life gets easier. No, life is like hard, okay? It's hard. We're a human having a human experience, those things are gonna come up, but we're gonna overcome it. That's that's a beautiful perspective. What's what's transformation?

SPEAKER_01

Well, to give like a little bit of a different angle, also kind of piggybacking off of what Maddie said. Um, I think a big thing in transformation, one, we've talked about this, is it needs to be transforming you to the core. You know, we've talked about journeys where yes, you get your nutrition and your water right, but it doesn't last very long unless you're changing and moving and shifting your identity. So that's one big piece of it. And the other piece for my girls is being able to look back and appreciate the work that you've put in and using positivity in that way so that you don't sink into a negative mindset. I think it's really easy for us to think of what we didn't do or what we can't do. And it just brings us down, you know, mentally, emotionally. But when you're able to look at the positive and say, like, I did get this done and I checked this off, and then look at the negative as okay, I'll work on this to get forward and move forward. Um, it's it's gonna be an easier, more positive journey to your transformation. Um, but yeah, just everybody's really kind of touched on everything, but just changing your identity as a whole is is really important, and that's why the fit nurse movement is so much more than just checking off your steps, your nutrition, and your water. Um, because you gotta change your core to improve and um be that 2.0.

SPEAKER_00

I love that. Like that's exactly it, is identity changes have to happen. And a lot of people don't realize that. So when they jump program to program to program, they're like, I'm hoping for the perfect methods that are gonna get me there. So they even have hopes in here, being like, Oh, you guys do done the shifts, you know how to make this work. It's so superficial what people are looking for because they think that that's the thing that's gonna lead them down the path. I think it's so important to have that perfect setup for you. But at the end of the day, how do you actually change is identity shifts? So I want to ask you girls, like, what is the difference between an identity shift and like changing just for a season to even like not in this program, but if you decided, oh, like you know, for the next six months I'm changing as a person, but you don't fully change. Like, what is the difference?

SPEAKER_02

I think the biggest piece is it's the habits you implement every day. Like if you're not consistent implementing those habits, it's only gonna be temporary, whether that's two weeks or a month. You've got to show up consistently every day, putting those habits in. And I think it's what you do long term because we always say it's not an overnight success, it's not like you take a magic pill one night and you wake up as you're 2.0. The difference is to achieve that lifelong transformation and have that identity shift, you've got to show up every day, even when you don't feel like it, even when the world's against you. You've had the longest shift, 13-hour shift, you're tired, you've got to put the habits in every day. And I think if you do that consistently long term, even if there's weeks you don't see results, that's where you get the identity shift and you morph into that 2.0, you get the results and you just gotta keep going long term.

SPEAKER_03

That's such a good one. I think if if we're gonna put like a name to a season, so let's just like say some really common reasons why why girls come to us like like they're they they want to lose some weight for a wedding, you know, summer's coming, they're going on vacation. Like these are all really common reasons and they are very, very common goals. Um, and I know I'm sure I speak for us all that when the girls come in and we say, you know, like what is it that you know you really want to get out of this? It's so often it's tethered to, well, I want to feel this this way in a certain amount of time, X, Y, and Z. And what I love to, like, what I'd love to consider in that moment is if we took away that goal, would you still be doing all the actions? And I ask that to all of us as well. Like, you know, I know and I can say with full, full confidence that if none of us had a vacation, a wedding, a summer to look forward to, we would still a hundred percent be doing the work. And that's how you know it's become an identity. It's not, you're not doing it with a time pressure, you're doing it because you know that your existence is better as a result of your daily actions. And that's the shift. And what I absolutely love about all of us coaching within this movement is that we get to instill that within our girls very, very early on. We all have our own unique ways of teaching the girls to take the onus off of, oh, do you know what? Like it's gonna be bikini whether in two weeks or it's gonna be this, it's gonna be that, and being like, Do you know what? You deserve to wake up every morning feeling energized, feeling confident, glowing, whether it's dark outside, whether it's rainy, whether you're on vacation or you're going for your night shift, you deserve to feel 10 out of 10 every single day of your life. And what 10 out of 10 looks like today to next week, to six months from now, to 20 years from now, that'll be different. But we're setting our girls up for success for good. And that's how I know that we work on the identity.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, 100%. Yeah. I think that that's really beautiful because it can be motivation to be like, yeah, look, we're going on this trip, like, that's incredible. Um, but I think what everyone wants at the end of the day, and like listening to this now, like what you truly want your chorus to be able to live this lifestyle. That's the number one thing. Everyone comes in here. Yes, I want to look good for the wedding, but I want a lifestyle. How do you create the lifestyle as you create the identity? So, really, like my opinion on what identity is is the the best way to put it is have you ever like be a nurse, you're you're showing up to your shift, you had this one patient that's like, hey, um, you're such a really friendly, like accommodating, amazing nurse. Now, next time you walk in that room, you're gonna want to be that amazing, accommodating, nice nurse. Why? Because they put a label on you to be that person. And you wanna, if it's a, it's, if it's a label that is very high value to you and you wanna be that person, you'll stick to that label. So now all your actions are literally aligning with that label. So that now is like becomes a part of your identity because you want to hold that identity, right? So that's the idea of what I think of when I think of identity. So if you told yourself that I'm gonna become that fit nurse, you're literally doing all the characteristics of becoming her, even if that's not fully you, but you uphold it every single day because you want to keep that label. That's identity, right? And then you embody it. So it's not just a one time and like I'm just like falling down. It's like you become it from doing these habits over and over and over again till it becomes a part of your nervous system.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Once it becomes a part of your nervous system, that is your home. That is your safe place. That is, whenever you fall down, you return back to that. But when our nervous system has been old habits, old labels, everything like that, you're not good enough, you'll never be able to be that fitness gal, you'll always revert back to that. So it's picking up a new frame, a new label, holding on to it for dear life. So, what does that mean? Is like on like when I did shifts, it was like, oh, if I am hitting Sunday and I only did three workouts, I know the fit nurse version of me is doing four workouts. So if I'm skipping out on that workout because it's Sunday and I'm like, oh, I'll just push it off. I have to remind myself that, like, hey, no, I have to do this because I want to keep that frame. I want to keep that label of being a fitness gal. And a fitness gal does this. Yeah. So that that's my opinion on identity.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, I'm trying to have different perspective because a lot of it is very similar to what I would share. But I think for me with with the girls, uh, a lot of it is I don't know, I'm going back to like the negative mindset, but like if they're not constantly working and being positive and thinking of it in that light, it can become it's they they start to doubt themselves and then they start to kind of get into the well, it doesn't matter. And I always tell my girls, like, the women who excel in this program who succeed in getting to their goals are not perfect because nobody's perfect. It's about if you fall off, you get right back on the horse and you're going right back to what you know is gonna get you to your goals. And I think that's a big part of identity too. No one's saying that it's gonna be perfection because it's absolutely not. Nothing in our lives is perfection. It's just about, okay, I had a bad week, I had a bad day, and not letting that bleed over into multiple days or a week or two weeks or a month, because that's when you start to lose yourself and lose things. You have to just uphold the identity enough to know that okay, it's okay that I fell down. I'm gonna get right back up and I'm gonna keep going. And I think that's uh like a different, a different way to kind of look at it too. But of course, you know, everybody, it's just about becoming a new person and um yeah, and transforming in that way.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah, that's that's so good, girl. And then it's um what I thought of when you said that is it's actually the idea of you want to maintain that identity, and it's also self-assurance that you have that identity. So what that means is that when you end up having the holidays and it's Christmas, and you just like completely had all the chocolate, everything, you're like it falls to the wall, not even following anything on the plan. Like, it's just like everyone, everyone gets to that point, right? Like we all know that point, but then it's like the next day, instead of being like, Oh, well, I fell off that I can't do this. The people that hold the identity are the people that have self-assurance to be like, hey, you know what? I live this lifestyle. So if I live this lifestyle and 30 years from now, 40, 50 years from now, I'm still doing this. It doesn't matter that I fell off in one moment in time. Yeah, it's not even falling off, it's just a part of it. So it's it's self-assurance that you will be able to get back to it, and that's you. That's that's a really big one. Yeah, I love that. Yeah, yeah. So then let's talk about cognitive distance. So, cognitive distance is basically where there is a there's a difference between how you're showing up and how you want to be. And I think that this is such a big one for nurses because nurses literally tell us, I wear a mask, I'm different, the version of me at work compared to home. And why is that? Like, it's the hardest thing for nurses to show up to the shift and be like, I want to eat healthier, like, or telling all the patients, eat healthier, do your steps, drink the water. And then they're literally getting done the shift, going to the vending machine, and then going home and drinking the wine. That is the hardest thing for nurses to go through because they literally feel the cognitive distance, they feel the distance between what they're doing and what they're saying. Yeah, but they want to be aligned. Like it's not that people don't want that, they want it, but they don't know how to. And it's it's a hard situation. So, with cognitive distance, like how would you overcome that?

SPEAKER_02

I think I I do get it for the nurses' side because they're exhausted, right? It is how pure exhaustion. You're so busy, you're wearing so many hats. So these ladies that come in with us, they are mums, they are they've got friends, family that they care for, they got dogs, pets, they have long jobs. So when they come to us, and what we would do to help them is we just gotta break it down for them. Really simple. We want to focus on sustainable habits, right? It's not saying, okay, you gotta hit 10,000 steps straight away and get the perfect sleep. Because on these night shift girlies, you know, they can't commit to that. So I think what we would do, well, what I would do personally, is just make it simple. Focus on one thing that you can implement into your day that's gonna help you create that, well, bridge the gap essentially. So whether that's okay, take a bottle of water and for example, when you're going in between patients, can you get some steps in? Or can we walk up and down the ward? Or even after, like walk around the parking lot before you get in your car, like implement something, like whether it's water and finishing it every time you have a task, or whether it's steps, take a habit and just one and get good at it and take that pressure off, and that will help bridge the gap. But I think if you haven't got that habit and you know you don't know what to do, and you put the pressure trying to hit the perfect target straight away, it's gonna make it really hard to overcome that. So I think for me it's just focusing on one thing and whether that's like basic and a small target, and we build it up from there.

SPEAKER_00

100% like stacking your habits, yeah. It's like not all at once. But it's like you just get good at one thing and build on it. Yeah, and then that's how you close the gap of cognitive distance, so you're actually aligning. That's so good. Yep.

SPEAKER_03

I love that so much. Like, this is something that I I actually really struggle with as a nurse. Like, I remember literally exactly as you said, like I would be front and center supporting my patients all day long. I'd be giving all the health advice, and then as we know, patients' families like to just shower you in biscuits. And I'm just known as like the biscuit hoarder, I swear.

SPEAKER_04

Like, I would eat tons of biscuits all day. All the day, just that putting them in a basket. I used to put it in like my little tunic pocket. That's really bad, isn't it? Oh, conventions of a biscuit. The conventions of a song is not even diaries anymore. Um, but more really likes them, and I really like I reflected on this.

SPEAKER_02

She's literally having a biscuit before she goes to a new climb.

SPEAKER_04

Everything going to the cover.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_04

I'm gonna have to know when I'm gonna make it out. I've got to take it back. I gotta take the buttons. Like ordering decide though.

SPEAKER_03

Like I got started of like a shift would turn into like a week, a month, and I realized all I can think about is custom cream.

SPEAKER_04

I'm just gonna think I'm just thinking about you with the patients. You're like, okay, let me just give it to me on. Let me get my pen out and it's gonna be done. Will they be like spilling this up and I'm so sorry to hear that? You want to be spent on you can just wear a sign on your hand. Ladies, if you struggle with this, you know which coach you're gonna be coming to. Um but I think it comes down to two things on a serious, on a serious note.

SPEAKER_03

Like you either reduce your standards to fit your habits, or you raise your habits to fit your standards, at least the standards of 2.0 that you really want. And when I started embodying this, I it did change everything because I was like, why am I why am I bringing myself down? Like, I know what I want. I really Know what I want. I'd done the work on figuring out what that 2.0 me looked like, and I was like, this this biscuit's like we've got to get on top of this. Do you know what I mean? But it's true. And the the way that I I actually tried, I really overcame this was taking five or ten minutes to myself at the beginning of every shift. So I actually, and this is something that I think a lot of people can do because it doesn't take a lot of time, it doesn't take much effort to set your alarm for 10-15 minutes early. Most girls who need to go to get like shifts done and stuff, you know, like actually it's fine. Like we we it's pretty easy anyway. So I would take myself off on a walk for like five, 10 minutes every morning, and I didn't realize at the time how big of a habit this actually was, but it allowed me to engage into myself every single morning. I didn't do any like specific like affirmations or meditations at the time. I just allowed myself to sit with myself. And that's really important because if you know who you are before the rest of the day carries you away, you will make unkid decisions throughout. So during that time, you know, it can be really helpful to literally five, 10 minutes round the vlog, be like, who do I want to show off as today? Why is this important to me? Like, why is working towards this 2.0 important to me? Who am I doing this for? And specifically, who are you doing this for is a massive one because we as nurses will do, we'll go to the ends of the earth for our families, for our friends, heck, for like strangers on the street, patients that we've never met. So sometimes we do have to tether our why to those around us. And that really helped me engage myself, engage who I was that day, engage who I wanted to be, and engage why I was doing it. And when you have all of that like dialed in, it becomes so much easier to say no to everything that isn't that. Okay, and that's that's what I was saying.

SPEAKER_00

I love that so much. So you all of a sudden were like, okay, I'm I'm locked in, I got no more biscuits in my pocket. I ate them all. I'm just I'm just saying it was a journey, I guess. It was a journey, and it's okay to have the biscuits, like every every now and then. Absolutely. We love a cookie in the back. Yeah, you just we reach him for one. No, that's that's so good, girl. What what cognitive distance to me is, is is it's actually a feeling. So for me, authenticity is your highest vibration that you'll ever carry. So when you can authentically be yourself, you literally release everything. You release the freedom of like being scared of hiding something. You get you're not like shaming yourself and hiding away because you have all these feelings on the inside. You actually are disembodying who you are outside and internal. Now that is a shift that creates your nervous system, it's just calm. It's it's almost a feeling of like you can just really trust and sit in yourself. You're not like all over the place because you're like, will someone notice that I'm not um who I say I am? It's it's actually a nervous system thing. And I've felt that before where there was certain things that I was doing, like hopping on the Zoom calls, and I like just had a moment of like I need to eat the pizza right now because I'm feeling really down. And then I'm hopping on the Zoom and I was like, oh guys, like, you know, like it's a it's okay, like eat healthy foods, like all this stuff, and I just know what I just did. So I showed up to that Zoom call like a little bit nervous and like almost like shying away, like get the hoodie on because I couldn't authentically be fully myself because I was saying one thing, doing another, right? Doesn't happen often for me, and I think flexibility is good, but in those moments, it made me feel that contrast. So it actually is an energy thing. Once you start actually doing the things that the version of you that you want and the version of you that you say you are, when they align, you could literally just feel so energetically free. And it's such a good feeling because you can show up as your best version. Like you didn't you can shout, you can do all these things, you can do like move like this because you're not hiding away and you're not scared someone's gonna see the internal of what actually is fake, it's real. Okay, tiny. That's what that's my definition.

SPEAKER_01

I love that because I have definitely been through that, especially with nutrition. It's like I can get everything else down, but nutrition is one of the tricky ones. And like, even if nobody else saw me, like I ate more of peanut butter, peanut butter is like my downfall, then I don't feel aligned with myself and I don't feel good, and it genuinely creates conflict in my head. And you're so right. Like, whenever you're all aligned and you're all in, you just feel so good every day. Like you're like, I'm doing what I'm supposed to do, I'm doing what I said I was gonna do. So I think, in order, like for me, if I'm thinking about how to overcome it, is first being honest with yourself, you know, having the self-awareness and you know, trying to find what is the disconnect that's happening in order for for me to be having conflicting, you know, actions with um what I want. And the other piece of it is being able to reflect and you know, just realize like nobody's gonna be perfect. I keep saying that, but nobody's gonna be perfect. Like you're gonna have days where you fall off, but um, in order to have a long-term, you know, relationship um with your goals, then you have to be able to be honest with yourself and um and work from that angle. And I think that's one of the hardest things. Like a lot of people are like, Oh, I don't, I didn't eat anything extra. Like, there's been a lot of times where I asked my girls, like, are we logging everything? And they're like, Yes. And then a few weeks later, they tell you it doesn't happen often, but a few weeks later they're like, I've actually not been logging certain things. And I'm like, I can tell when a piece is missing because I had done it myself. Yeah, with my country. Like I've done that before, and it's like you think it's no big deal, but when you look back, you're like, you feel off because you're like, I know I didn't align, I know I wasn't truthful about this, yeah. And it's hard, it's hard to feel that distance. Yeah. So I just think uh self-awareness, being honest with yourself, and then and then going through the uncomfortable part of addressing it, even if it takes you 10, 15 times to start over, I think um you have to just keep going until it becomes a consistent habit and something that aligns with your values.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, a hundred percent. Like it's it's probably something that or women in particular nurses struggle the most with. As we said, it's just like saying one thing, doing another. And it's so freeing, gals, when you can actually just be yourself no matter what the situation. Like when you can be at work and be truly yourself. Obviously, we pull different sometimes. We're more masculine, sometimes more feminine. We need to pull those characteristics at different times. But to be yourself at work, to be yourself with your family, to be yourself with your partner, your friends, like and not feel like you have to be something other than yourself is the most freeing feeling. You're not switching on and off or feeling um like it's not you. And when you get that, the best. It's literally the best. It's something that no one really talks about, but is so important. So when you align yourself, um inside, outside, actions, all the things, it's it's great. It literally is, yeah, energetically. And people feel it too. Oh, it's infectious. People feel that, yeah. Like it there, I'll give it another example before we go into the next question. But like even when, like, say you're hopping on a Zoom call with with some of these members, and you're you're you're nervous, or you're like, you're saying one thing, but inside your body is saying another, like people feel that because they're they can't put their finger on it, but they can feel that something is off. But when the words are matching the face, which matching the internal, there's no feeling of your nerve your intuition being off about someone because you're just like, okay, like everything's aligning. That's why like it's so important for me as well. Anyone who comes into the program, like that first onboarding, I'm just like going all out, just like who I am, like everything, showing the has, showing whatever you need to see in order to trust us in here because it's actually what we say it is, yeah, sort of thing. Yeah. All right, cool. So I want to know as well, like, what are the life lessons that you kind of go through in order to become your shoe point?

SPEAKER_02

Gosh, there's a lot. How long we got we got long? Oh, do you know what? I've made a lot of mistakes along the way, and I've been on my journey to get to my 2.0 for like a good 10 years. It's still ongoing, right? The journey never stops. And I think for me, it's it's being organized because I used to wing a lot of things, and I never used to track my food. And I like, for example, food. If you're not tracking, for example, nut butter over here. If you don't weigh that tablespoon of nut butter, that's the difference between a couple hundred calories. Okay, that was humbling. So imagine if you're doing that with so many other things, like you may not be in the deficit that you think you're in. So for me, a life lesson was don't wing it, be organized with your nutrition. But also, like you don't have to follow a meal plan all the time. I'd say that's a tool. But even just like you just getting organized with eating meals on repeat. So meal prepping a couple of things you like and rotating it and just understanding what's in foods because for so long I didn't, and I would think, oh, that's good. And I had no educational knowledge as well. So I really that's a big thing I learned was nutrition to weigh my food, to get into that routine straight away, rotating a couple of meals, and then I'd kind of get into the flow. And you don't have to do it forever. Like, I don't track these meals now because I've done it for years, but just being organized with nutrition was a big thing. So that was my biggest one that I've learned. It's actually 80% of your results, yeah. Make sure you get it right.

SPEAKER_03

So do you get it? Yeah, yeah. I love that so much. Um, if we're gonna go like life lessons, I would I would say over and above everything, just never ever, ever, ever give up. Like, you know, sometimes we gotta change the plan, but the goal doesn't need to change. And the more that you can expect that life is gonna come and life is gonna keep coming, and people can disappoint you, and circumstances can change, and life can get really, really bad. But if you if if you never like just don't ever be the person who disappoints yourself, don't ever be the person who rejects yourself, don't ever be the person who lets yourself down because there's plenty of experiences and times in life where that's gonna happen. But if you if you truly, truly look inwards, work on what that 2.0 looks like for you, and not just how she looks, but how she carries herself through the world, you see every opportunity, but you see every every tidal wave that comes in your life. You actually start to see it as an opportunity, like even in the hardest times in my life, in my life.

SPEAKER_04

In my life. I had the basic life and I had that.

SPEAKER_03

Um I timeline. I I now know that like what I wanted, what I asked for out of my 2.0, those those tidal waves, those obstacles, those roadblocks, like those awful rock bottom times, they brought those values out in me, the strength and the courage to carry on and the conviction that I could do it and that I didn't need to rely on anyone else. And so I would just say, like, never ever, ever give up. Get so crystal clear on who it is that you want to be in this world, the impact that you want to give, how you want to leave this earth, knowing that you've given so much more than you've taken. And just the way that you will see the world is so different. The way that you get to show up for yourself will be so different. It turns everything from I have to do this till I get to do this. I love that. It really, really does, and it will turn the darkest of times into light. It will, it will keep hope there when nothing has before. So that's what I would say.

SPEAKER_00

That's so good, girl. That's so that's very good. I personally think that the 2.0 comes from the inner work most because there were so many times where I've done like the bikini competitions and looked amazing on the outside. Everyone's given all the validation, the compliments. You're gonna wear your gut, you look so good, and that fills a void for like a hot second, and you're like, yes, okay, I got this. But guess what? When the house is unsteady because you haven't built a strong foundation, it just flops over. So any moment of my own doubt flops over. Any moment that I don't get the validation, flops over. So you actually have to build something that's really strong from the inside out. How do you actually do that? I had to do psychology and I had mindset coaches. And it's because I had to work through traumas that actually were leading me to overeat, to not show up to the sessions, to when I did show up to the sessions, I'm looking in the mirror thinking I don't look good. So I don't want to fully put in the full session and why do I bother? Then coming home and going through all these highs and lows. So the 2.0 to me is actually being able to fix what actually is going on internal and the traumas that I went through to heal those so that it's not a band-aid on a wound. If we can picture that as a nurse, band-aid on the wound. It's like all good. It's covered up for now. But again, once the validation goes, once something comes up, the wound's still there. You have to actually feel it, heal it, take time, everything to be able to feel good with yourself. I truly believe that when you do that internal work, it manifests on the outside. So ever since I've done psychology, I've been able to keep my body at the same way, feeling really good no matter where I traveled, no matter what's going on in my life. And it's because I'm not self-sabotaging. I'm not going through, I need to overeat to heal these feelings right now. I'm not having caffeine all the time to be able to heal my stress um, to get dopamine. So those things change you. And I truly believe that that's what helped me become my 2.0 doing the physical and the internal work.

SPEAKER_01

That's good. Mine's like a mix of everyone's because what Maddie said about changing this, your mindset or your perspective of I have to do this to I get to do this. Um, I think a big piece for me was gratitude. And it seems so simple to be like, yeah, just say you're grateful for things. But if you literally sit down and think about it, like there's some people out there who can't get up from their bed, but I'm able to walk around, I'm able to lift heavy weights. I have the option to cook my food and have healthy foods. And I make these choices every day. Like I'm grateful for that. I'm grateful for the people in my life that help and support me. I think gratitude is something I've really honed in on this past year. And especially when I start feeling down or a little bit negative, I'm like, okay, I'm grateful for XYZ because I feel like it brings you up and you start to have a different perspective, a different outlook. So that was one piece of it for me. And then also a bit of the internal. I used to be very, I did bikini competitions as well, very like outward focused. Like, what does my outside outside body look like? And I would just be like, well, I have anxiety and depression and all these things, but I'm just gonna shove it down because as long as I look good on the outside, then we're we're fine. Um, but that's definitely not the case because you can look, like she said, incredible on the outside. But if your mindset and your just your inner, you know, the depths of your soul are not, you know, aligned, then it it's not gonna, it's not gonna work. It's not gonna be long term, and you're always gonna have a void or or some sort of conflict, internal conflict. So that and then consistency and discipline. I think um, you know, we say you don't have to be perfect, but you do need consistency and discipline. We talk about, you know, motivation comes and goes always. You're not always gonna be motivated. We're not always motivated to eat perfect, to go to the gym. You know, no one is. So you've got to rely on the consistency and the discipline and respect yourself enough to know that that's what's gonna get you through. And um, yeah, that way you can look back and be proud of how you transformed and got there and then share those habits with other people. So yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's so good. You had so many good points on that. Like, there's so many things I wanted to add to that. It's like, yes, like gratitude as well. Like, we talked about authenticity, gratitude is also one of the higher frequencies. See, when you get into a state of gratitude, this is why I always tell you guys like gratitude, gratitude. I'm like, bring your gratitude, like stay so grateful.

SPEAKER_04

Uh you're grateful.

SPEAKER_00

So no, but it's it's more than just hearing it, yeah, it's a state of feeling. Okay, so when you get into the gratitude state, you literally like you change your your body chemistry, like you you start seeing the world so differently. So being able to like see your chewpoint now and be so grateful about how much you've changed right now compared to like the six months ago, that will actually put you in a state of abundance and feeling really good instead of the state of lack. So it's like, oh, I'm like so many girls as well in the program are like they hit 8k steps for the first time ever. They just got up from the couch and they haven't walked in like a year. And they're like, oh, like, but someone else has hidden 12k easily and they're this age and all this stuff. It's like, no, like you have to be so grateful for where you came from, and it literally changes your whole state. Like, that is so important. Um, that's why I think gratitude is is such an incredible feeling. It really is. That's why when we read those testimonies, we get like oxytocin being released. It's like a hug, um, because it actually does that in your body. So that's why I'm all about the gratitude train. I'm like, where's the gratefulness?

SPEAKER_02

That's what we do at dinner every night. If people sit there, she'd be like, What are you grateful for? Are you what are you grateful for? Then she'll be like brown nose.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and then and then once I do say something, I'm like, You're a brown noser. We can win out here.

SPEAKER_00

Um, amazing, gals. Well, thank you so much for just sharing this. Coming in here, we're in Miami together, which is so amazing to be able to be in one place, including Kat in this as well. But she had to go up to a flight. Um, but that being said, like, as you can see, it's different for every single person, but it is all encompassing the same thing, which is the 2.0. And there's so many avenues to get there. But at the end of the day, all these things that the girls said here are so important to think about, and I think will really help you in your journey. So transformation might have been what you thought it was, which is 20 pounds down, and you know, you're eating better and whatever. That is like a 1% of what we even do in here, what or how we even visualize fitness and in our life because fitness and everything that we do in here is an outlet to be able to become the 2.0, but it's not everything. Yeah, there's so much depth to it as you can see. So you got this, and I can't wait to see you on the next episode of the Fit Nurse Diaries. Don't forget to hit the subscribe button so you can be channeled into every single week. There's different topics we'll talk about, um, different guests, all the different things. So thank you so much. And um let me know in the comments as well what your favorite part of this, what you really pulled away from this in the journey. So, without further ado, let's go.

SPEAKER_01

All right, bye bye. Bye.
