Whose report does AI believe when deciding whether to recommend your business?
AI Search does not rely only on what a company says about itself. It can look for supporting evidence across websites, Google Business Profiles, customer reviews, directories, videos and other online sources.
In this episode of The AI Search Briefing, Ralph Peterson explains why consistent information builds authority—and how service businesses can give AI stronger reasons to understand, trust and recommend them.

The AI Search Briefing is a daily 1–3 minute update helping business owners, marketers, and SEO professionals understand how AI is changing search.

Whose report do you believe? Hi, I'm Ralph Peterson of 7 Trillion SEO and this is the AI Search Briefing. Hey, happy Friday! We're talking about trust. Because every day AI has to decide who should I believe. Think about it. If two businesses make the exact same claims, who has the better reputation? Who has the better reviews? Who has more experience? Who has more evidence? Who would you trust?

SPEAKER_01

You can trust me and I live in a van down by the river.

SPEAKER_00

Really? Because that's exactly what AI is trying to figure out. This past week I ran an experiment. I asked several AI platforms the exact same questions about my business. What does this business do? Who does this business serve? Why should someone trust this business? And would you recommend this business? What surprised me wasn't that the answers were different, it was how similar they were. The AI platforms understood what 7 trillion SEO does. They not only understood who we serve, but they also looked for something else. Proof, reviews, experience, case studies, videos, a history of helping businesses. They weren't just trying to understand my business, they were trying to decide whether my business deserved to be recommended. Now think about your own business. If AI had to explain your company to someone today, would it have enough information? Would it have enough proof? Would it recommend you? Or would it recommend your competitor because their business was easier to understand and trust? Here's the bottom of the bottom line. AI isn't looking for the loudest business or the flashiest business or the motivational speaker living in a van down by the river. It's looking for the most trustworthy business. And the businesses that have consistently provided clear information, real evidence, fresh reviews, and helpful content are giving AI more reasons to recommend them. So, this weekend, ask yourself one question. If AI had to recommend my business today, would it? I'm Ralph Peterson of 7 Trillion SEO. Think big. Be trusted, be recommended.
