Found in the Fire
You understand your patterns. You can name them, trace them, explain
them. And you are still running them.
Found in the Fire is a podcast for the woman who has done the work —
the therapy, the journaling, the courses — and is ready to understand
why insight alone has never been enough. Hosted by Erica Adams,
neuroscience coach and somatic practitioner, each episode goes into the
specific, lived moments that shift when healing actually reaches the body.
Somatic practice. EFT. Ancient wisdom. The neuroscience of real change.
And the red velvet cake version of what transformation actually looks like
on a Tuesday morning.

If this episode reached you, send it to someone who needs it. The woman who is very good at being okay — she's listening to something right now, and it might as well be this.
You are very good at being okay. You know this about yourself. You've known it for a long time. You can walk into a room where something is wrong and manage it. The energy, the dynamic, whatever needs handling. And no one can quite tell how much of you that took. You can describe your emotions. You can name the pattern. You've probably read the books. You know the words. And yet there is still a glass wall. You can see what's happening on the other side of it. You can understand it. Analyze it. Articulate it. But it doesn't quite reach you. The feeling happens. You know what's happening. But by the time it gets to you, if it's already been organized, processed, and made presentable. You are warm. People experience you as warm. But if you're honest with yourself, you know there's a version of you that's warmer still. A version of you that maybe you only catch glimpses of in certain moments, usually when you weren't braced for it. Welcome back to Found in the Fire. My name's Erica. I'm a neuroscience-based life coach, a somatic healing practitioner, and a folklore scholar. Which is a strange combination until you understand that every culture in human history has had its own version of this work. And my entire adult life has been spent asking why. Not in transformation language, in what a Tuesday actually looks like when the glass isn't there. You're in a conversation. Someone says something that moves you, and you don't route it through the usual process. You don't do the thing where you receive it and then check, is this accurate? How do I respond appropriately? What does this require of me? The statement or feeling just arrives, and you are there to receive it. Your face does something it wasn't doing a moment before. You didn't decide to let it happen. You just didn't stop it. Or you're watching something beautiful. A film. Someone across the room. Something small and unexpectedly beautiful. And before you can get there to manage it, you find yourself crying. Not because you decided it was appropriate, because the warmth moved all the way through before the management could intercept it. Or and this one is quieter. Harder to name. But you want something. And the wanting doesn't go through the usual process of weighing, minimizing, and presenting itself as a mild preference. It arrives as what it is. Felt desire. And you don't immediately talk yourself out of it. These are not healing moments. They're not transformation. They are what it feels like to be alive in your body without the glass between you and your experience. The Snow Queen's work. Shop up there in those moments. Not in the dramatic catharsis, not in the big revelation in the space where for just a second you actually felt what was happening. Here's what I know about the woman in this territory. The freeze was intelligence. It was built for conditions where warmth, where need, where full expression were genuinely costly. And it worked. It kept you safe. The problem is not that you built the palace or learned the patterns. The problem is that this strategy was forged in danger. And it is still running in all conditions. Even those where warmth would be welcome. The palace is in the wrong climate. And some part of you knows that. The move from knowing that to actually living it not understanding the freeze, but feeling yourself on the other side of it. That's the work. And it is body work, not insight work. You already have the insight. The freeze knows you have the insight, and quite frankly, it is not impressed. I have built two ways into this work, and I want to tell you clearly what each one is. The first is Seven Days with the Snow Queen. It is a seven day self-guided practice container, one inner world journey, a somatic practice, an EFD sequence, and seven daily reflection prompts. Each element is sequenced deliberately. You meet the queen, you locate the freeze in your body, and you begin the first work of letting warmth move through. Seven days contained complete. This one is for you if you want to begin. If you've been circling this territory and you want to step inside it with some structure holding you. If something in the last episode landed and you want to move while it's still warm, the second door is the Snow Queen Deep Dive. It's 21 days, three weeks, three phases, meeting, deepening, embodiment, nine audio practices across those weeks, three inner world journeys, three somatic practices, three EFT sequences, plus twenty one daily reflection prompts, and a day twenty two written integration practice. Three weeks because the work needs somewhere to land and integrate between sessions. Because on day three, you'll think nothing happened. On day ten, you'll catch yourself enacting the pattern in real time, watching it like you're watching from outside the glass. And then on day seventeen, something will move that you didn't plan to let move. This one is for you if you're ready to go all the way in. If you know this is the work and you don't want to do it in pieces. Both are fully self-guided and available immediately. You receive everything at once. You move through it at your own pace in your own time, according to the structure the container gives you. The woman who resonated with the last episode already knows she's which one she's a yes to. If you're ready to begin, you can find both containers at untamed sovereigntycoaching dot com. The link is in the show notes. Both containers are there. Read about them. If something in your body says yes, the yes that comes from deep inside, low and quiet, trust it. That's the instrument this work is designed to wake up.
