Welcome everyone back to the Daleks pod. I'm Dan. I'm Alex. And we're here again just discussing life in general. Everything good. We've just done a ladder predictor.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, our blues are going on a 3P, so you heard it here first.
SPEAKER_00Can't believe we are witnessing it. Um big, big week in life and football, England uh in the quarters.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, look at that. I was watching that game, mate. The referee's like really, really try to selling you guys. How are you feeling? How was the heart rate during the game? Yeah, that was the most stressed I've been in football for a long time. It looked like I was watching you, I was watching your watch along and uh it looked like you were gonna I I I I usually watch you for Carlton games, but when it's soccer, geez, it's something different.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, it's a little bit more uh scary. Uh but now we're there. We're about to witness Carlton go on a dynasty race.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, how shout out Josh Rajo if you're watching, like just know I love you.
SPEAKER_00Well done, Josh. Well done. And uh yeah, it was life's good, innit? Life's good.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it's I think we said it last week when you're in games with footy, right? It just doesn't feel like anything can stop you.
SPEAKER_00It is, yeah. We've we've big shout out Lana as well, our friends.
SPEAKER_01Yes, big shout out.
SPEAKER_00Uh I heard she's a big fan of the show and our stupid uh conversations that we have.
SPEAKER_01Big shout out.
SPEAKER_00But big shout out, but I mean, I wanted to talk about a bit more of things that we talked about last week, but yeah, question came in uh from one of my mates the other day. What is the world's greatest toy you've ever had? Like, what toy do you really remember?
SPEAKER_01Oh I've had a few, but probably my favourite toy of all time would be Lightning McCrean. Like a car. So not an actual light, yeah, lightning McCrean and the car toy. So I had this remote control, Lightning McCrean. Oh yeah, mate. If you know me and if you know what I'm about, you know I'm a big cars fan. Like, I know line to line of cars. So that was probably my favourite toy. That or Woody. I do I do love my Woody. I have like all the Toy Story like collection, so Woody's a big fan of the movie. What a movie as well. We'll just FY shout out Toy Story, but what a movie. Yeah, I do I do love Lighting McCreen. What about what about you? What would be your top like Mongoose Bike?
SPEAKER_00I actually saw the original Mongoose bike actually shout out uh the antique shop in Melton that I was I I was debating buying it, yeah, but I am about two foot and 50 kgs, way too big for uh the mongoose. But yeah, I I lived on that bike. Like I had that when I was 13. Like I think like until I passed my driving test, that was all I used, yeah, exclusively, like jumping, just riding it everywhere, yeah. Jumping on it, but I mean it it's it's crazy, isn't it? Like when you look back, like what do you think? Like, I I was actually looking at toys, and I'm sure you've seen it. Kids' toys now. Oh, it's not the same, is it?
SPEAKER_01And they're really shit, yeah. Yeah, they're not the same. Like, I remember like when when I was like growing up, um, like all you wanted like was go to Toy World or Toys Are Us. Oh, yeah, Toys R Us. You know what I mean? Just get like the brand like brand new toy. And I it was I was actually me and my mum were having this kind of conversation of what kind of happened to to like the to the like when you go when you go to the movies, for example, like Australia used to be a lot more colour and stuff like that. Yeah. Or even buildings used to have a lot more colour and cars used to have a lot more colour. Now it's like all kind of the same. And like kind of the same thing with toys, it's like nothing really stands out anymore. It's like we kind of lost the personality of it all.
SPEAKER_00Everyone plays computers though, don't they? So like because like I I just went shout out trick tech on YouTube. They do like make you might like this guy, he makes Marvel, like see if you can make Marvel things real. So he tries to make like the jetpack from Iron Man and like gets it to actually work. But he's made real life web shooters. Yeah, fair enough. Right, so they are actually quite cool. But I bought my kids it the other day, yeah, and it can like literally open doors and like my son has been like pulling the bin towards him.
SPEAKER_01You know what?
SPEAKER_00Which is elite to watch.
SPEAKER_01If you have real life web shooters, you can guarantee me I'm trying to string off a building.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the other day he was eating, you know, um, like the little chubba chumps. Yes. And he opened one and had it in his mouth, but like he couldn't reach the bin, so he webshopped the bin. That's tough. That's all probably from the from the kitchen to the lounge, and I was like, this is elite. But one of them brought the other day, and like it is so cheaply made inside. Like it took me ages to put the wires back together and stuff. It got all tangled inside, yeah. And I was like, This is shoddily made, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Made like all the cheap toys, man. Like, every toy is like made with like very cheap plastic now, and like so easy to break. Like, I swear, like I had plastic toys growing up and I used to throw them everywhere, and like they they did not budge. So it's 100%. It is weird, like like the quality you would expect it to go like get better and better over time, but in reality it's gotten kind of kind of worse.
SPEAKER_00It is crazy though, because I've got to say, like, the computer games now are ridiculous.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, like every I think every kid now is like either on the iPad or you know, computer or PlayStation and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_00Yesterday, yeah, and we we're like two Call of Duty's behind, but David was playing the campaign, and I was like, that is ridiculous in two years. Yeah, like the level of graphics, like it looked almost real.
SPEAKER_01Bad, yeah. Like even like you look at games that are coming out soon as well, like look at GDA6. Yeah, the graphics on that looks like it's literally just been filmed in real life.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think like everyone's attention has gone to like definitely like the digital space, and like because I don't think kids like unless like you're very young, I don't think they're necessarily wanting toys anymore. I think it's more about the computer stuff, so I think that's where the attention's definitely going.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, I mean I've noticed as well, like AI, like the advent of AI, like because I've noticed at the World Cup people are using AI loads, yeah, like in the terms of like making videos, yeah. And like someone's made a promo for England versus Norway, yeah, and they've like turned all the guys from like the Viking series into the Norwegian players, really, but then they've used like the Robin Hood series to change them into England and they've merged it into like a trailer of a movie, yeah, and it looks ridiculous. And I was watching it and I was saying to like David, this is almost like real, like it's quite scary that AI is quite baby, we're quite new to it, yeah. But what you can do, like I'm actually scared where AI might go because it's crazy. Because like last night when we were live, we were taking the piss at doing quotes. So YouTubers at the minutes are doing like videos, yeah, and then turning themselves into celebrities saying he said this, and I'm like, and I think it's so cringe, but I made one of Let Dog while I was live in two minutes that looked like it was professionally done, yeah, yeah, and I was like, This is scary.
SPEAKER_01AI is out of this world, like the things you can just prompt it to do, and like the images you can create and the videos you can make, it's it's actually mind mind-blowing that it's only been around for like a couple of years as well, and like it's this advanced. Like, imagine in like another two, three years, like how scary this is gonna be.
SPEAKER_00It's it's it's scary. And I was watching something with Elon Musk, he was saying that like because they've got like Grok, yeah, which is like their version of Chat GBT, but you can pay like five hundred dollars a month for their best version, and he was like demoing like Grok that you can use for free, and then the paid version, but then what this can do in the terms of making videos, yeah, and it's like scary because what most people are using is like 10%, but he was like making a video where he just like talked, but then he put it through the powerful version, yeah, and got it to look like him at the same camera angles, mimic his voice, but change what he was saying, yeah. And then I was thinking, like, we were talking about like first episode about Instagram pretending who you're not, yeah. We're getting to a stage where you could pretend to be totally someone different.
SPEAKER_01Oh, 100%. Like all you gotta do really is just get a photo of someone, person to you know, whatever AI system, and just be like, make it talk, make it sound like this whatever. And like it it is freaky that we are getting to that kind of point where it's not only can you just fake your personality, but you can just literally fake your identity now. Yeah, like fire out.
SPEAKER_00Because there's a YouTuber that David watches, and he goes on your amigo. Oh, yeah, yeah. But there is like an AI that you can buy, and it's like expensive, but like he can pretend to be like celebrities, so like he's like uh just a normal white dude, yeah, but he's gone on there as like Millie Bobby Brown as 11.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I've seen some stuff like that, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And it's like mimics her voice, and it's crazy. And then we'll watch another one, like Indian scammers, like the call centres, yeah, they're using the AI voice changes so it actually sounds like an American call in America, an English guy in England, an Aussie. I was like, that is scary how we are in a situation now where you don't really know what's real anymore.
SPEAKER_01Nah, no way. And I think what also kind of freaks me out is how reliant we are getting on AI now as well. Like, no matter what industry you're in, it feels like everyone's on it. Like, even in even in footy now, like AFL, we we saw at the start of the year, like Sam Mitchell is using AI. We see big clubs, like even I think Carlson are doing it as well at the moment, using AI to help talk to players and like you know, have conversations and stuff like that. So we are becoming very aligned on it as well, which is insane to think.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, I was looking a lot of the AFL posts are now as well, are using the AI templates and stuff. Yeah, so like graphic designers are slowly being phased out because like it is crazy. I mean, I'm very baby on the AI, I've started to use it in little bits and pieces. It is crazy because I remember being in golf years ago, there was forms of AI that were in available in sport that would condense loads of numbers and bring it out as something basic. Scary where AI can go.
SPEAKER_01Oh, 100% man. Like the fact, the fact, yeah, bad, like the fact that it's gonna get to that point at all, isn't it? We're gonna have like a full full human AI that's just gonna be like undestructible. But just the fact that you got like AI kind of taking over some jobs, like you just mentioned like the graphic designers, like sooner or later, like it's gonna be completely phased out because if AR can just do it, it makes it easier, it's probably cheaper as well to do it. Um and then like you just look at other industries as well, like even look at you can even just go on it for advice as well, so like you know, nutrition, you just go on chat GPT and ask it for you know a full day of eating and stuff like that, just put your weight and stuff in it and just gives it to you. So it's almost like scary. Yeah, every industry is just gonna be affected by it in one way or another.
SPEAKER_00It's scary because one of my mates in the UK is a psychologist and he's actually using it for psychology. So like he was saying like he's they're developing an app that can like work 24 hours with someone with anxiety to help them through when they've got someone to talk to, and it's like AI module based. I'm like, that is actually scary that you are getting to the situation where humans are irrelevant almost.
SPEAKER_01You even got doctors using it as well to like take notes during like genuinely scary appointments and stuff. It's like far out. Like, this is like this is like futuristic stuff that you you get told when you're like five that robots are gonna take over the world, like it's actually kind of like happening in a way because like every industry, as I say, like is all getting affected in one way or another.
SPEAKER_00You know what I've been using it for recently is that I've been to keep updated with I watch quite a lot of soccer pods, but because when the AFL's on, I'm just bogged down with AFL. I've been using two programs, I've been using Transcribe, which like downloads like the just what's said as a text document. Beautiful and then I feed it through AI. So I I watch a lot of Housen, who's like a Man United YouTuber, but his videos are like an hour long, and I haven't got time to listen to the transfer rumours and shit. And I just then run that freeway out and say, right, give me the transfer rumours, give me like a sentence about it, and anywhere that I can go and watch the guys, yeah. And it's like I've watched the hour video in five seconds, like I can just read it and go, Okay, cool.
SPEAKER_01It does help like having that quick summary. Like, I think YouTube even does it like automatically now, but like when you join a live chat, it literally AI summarises what everyone's talking about. It's like if you've missed like half a show, you can kind of just join in and be like, oh, I can join in the conversation. And like, even um on Instagram, like I know AI is big on like AI is big on Instagram now as well, like it summarizes what the reels are about. Like, if we need to summarize the reels though, it's a bit crazy.
SPEAKER_00So summarise 10 seconds.
SPEAKER_01Summarise 10 seconds in one second is wild.
SPEAKER_00Like I saw it the other day, I'm like, fuck out, we're even getting to this point where AI's in everything, like but it's crazy because like my father-in-law, he's like 80 and he uses YouTube to watch the news, which is like such an old person thing to do. Yeah, but like he does it, but his algorithm is starting to get like it's scary, like fake AI. Yeah, so like there was one the other day with Keir Starmer, the English Prime Minister, but like they had AI'd him saying that the water in the Thames was like toxic, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Big on TikTok too.
SPEAKER_00That everyone was gonna die, yeah. And like he was like called me in and was like, Oh my god, you're like people in London are died. I'm like, say aye. Like, but it did look quite real, it was only because like you're used to seeing AI to humans, and I I was thinking, then I started going down the rabbit hole, like how that's gonna like scam people, like 100%, like crazy, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like on on especially on TikTok, I've noticed it big time, like not um, I haven't really I don't really watch the news that much, so but like on TikTok, especially um every couple of scrolls now, it's just like some fake AI telling you the bill is gonna end in like 10 days, like fire out. But it's so believable because like like it's even on like people create fake pages that are verified, so you kind of go into it like it's a verified page and it's telling the news, like that is the worst thing we've invented that you can pay for verification. Oh, I agree, yeah. Cause we'd literally just talk about fake identities and like now you can just fake verification, like like like it that blue tick when it was like just given to people who were celebrities.
SPEAKER_00Like authentic, yeah, you have to earn it. It kind of helped, but like the fact now that you can just buy that blue tick, yeah, scares me a little bit because like you say, like for someone like my grandfather-in-law's age, he sees the blue tick as legit. Yeah, 100%. Where like I tell him, you know what, like you could create an account, $2.99, you'll get verified, and then we could start saying everyone's a right.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, me and you can make Daleks, I can verify right now if you wanted to. Like, everyone can get it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's what I said to himself, like it's no longer like trust it, it's a blue tick.
SPEAKER_01Now it's like uh uh. It's like just a pay another payment method now. It's get a blue ticket.
SPEAKER_00Which is scary that we are at a situation that we've got to get people to trust.
SPEAKER_01Verification, like it does make it all that much more like hard to believe everything you see. Like everyone says, I don't believe everything you see. That's so true now. Yeah. Like if you just go on anything and anyone can just be verified, it's probably AI telling you some random information that's so believable as well. Because you can't even tell us to AI, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And it's starting to get into like the news, I noticed, because Infantino, the head of FIFA, yeah, it was it was actually reported by some news outlets. Someone had AI'd that a game starting and Infantino being in the crowd, but then another game kicked off 30 minutes later, and he was already in the crowd, and people were like doing this thing, oh he's a shapeshifter, or what's going on. I saw that actually. He was at two games like within an hour, but the travel's two hours. Yeah, how's he get there? And like one news outlet started to pick it up, like, was it a lookalike? And then, like, someone's like busted it and said, Oh, he's AI'd an old game, and then changed the video so it's superimposed on the game that's that's insane. And I'm like, that's crazy that it's got so sophisticated, yeah, that someone's believed it who's in the media is like infantine or how's he done it?
SPEAKER_01The fact that people are using it for stuff like that, and I used to use it just to help me write an essay, is like filed. It's crazy, it's crazy. The the AI system is like it's so changing like the span of like one year. Like, imagine as I said, imagine in like two years, three years, like we're gonna have like walking AI people like sooner or later, and I saw this like meme thing on TikTok, it's like oh, people in like two years' time walking, walking past someone, and it's like it's an AI person because you walk through it. It's like, you know what, it's gonna get to that point sooner or later.
SPEAKER_00Like wouldn't surprise me because it's gonna get holograms, and it's like AI in sport as well, because I've got a good mate of mine who's in data science, yeah, and he works in the championship now, his team are in. Yeah, but he was saying that in the last year, 90% of his job is double checking AI. So like it's gone from him producing the stats, the algorithms, yeah, to now they've just taught an AI module the algorithm. And basically, his job for the last year has been making sure the AI hasn't made a mistake. Wow, but it never does, like he says it's it's there. So like he was saying he can see in the next five years him being phased out, yeah. Like he was saying, like, we're gonna be dead. See, that's the thing as well, like AI's literally destroying jobs like that, like yeah, and like he's worked like university five years, yeah.
SPEAKER_01He's like gone from put all that hard work in just to get phased out by a robot.
SPEAKER_00And I just found it quite funny that he's literally his job now is effectively making sure his replacement long term is doing a good job. Yeah, I was like, it's crazy, but like he was saying, like, it's crazy, like when he uses the system that like they used to take the GPS software and then like the scouting notes from the opposition, and then they'd work through algorithms and data crunch, and it would take like maybe a day, two days. Yeah, like he was saying, like, now I can get the scouting report, the GPS data by lunchtime. It has identified the key metrics to beat aside, the key metrics which would have usually taken two days, and like a team of 15 people. I'm like, but he can do it in like an hour.
SPEAKER_01That's that's why, and like I think that's why pick like people are starting to go onto AI because it saves that much time. Like, uh that just reminds me of like a thing, even the AFL using for like fixture, like um, I think there's like an AI system over here. Which just made me laugh.
SPEAKER_00Like, it's the most AFL fee.
SPEAKER_01Like, we're using an AI system that's not even located here, first off, it's like in Canada or something, and like it just pumps out a fixture, so they pump in like like certain prompts and like rules that it needs to have, like every team needs to have like uh like played this team twice and stuff like that, and then it just pumps throughout our fixture, like vote.
SPEAKER_00What to be fair, it was in Canada to be fair, is that not the most AFL thing in the world? Like they've gone overseas, probably paid way too much for not like I could just see someone's gone on a holiday to Canada for two weeks and just happened to use a library computer in Toronto and gone into chat GPT. Why they've got a fixture here, make me a fixture list, bang. Hey hey Dylan, I've got a I got a new pod, I got a new system here, yeah. Genuinely crazy, like and like it says, like we were we're talking actually on the Tuesday show that how I think people, without being mean to your generation, yeah, you guys are a little bit more impatient than my generation because everything's ready now. Yeah, it scares me now how impatient the next generation's gonna be because like David, my my kids are homeschooled. David has started to use AI to like condense massive documents into key facts, yeah. And I remember doing the same thing at school, but I had to physically read, and then I was chat GPT, I condensed all the fucking notes into a sentence, yeah, and then I memorized them. He's like set his up to do like daily prompts, so like in the morning it reminds him of the prompts and gives him like a little 10-thing questionnaire. I I'm like, oh my god, like now you've not got the skills of reading and learning to condense because you're never gonna need them again, yeah. Like you're never gonna need them again.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like it's a weird thing, like you're talking about like our generation. Like, I feel it's a weird thing as well, because like when we were growing up, we didn't have the AI, but now that we went to high school, that's what we had, it was AI, so it was that big transition piece. But the next generation coming through from primary school, they have tragedy pretend all that already for them. So, like, you're definitely right, we're gonna get also impatient and probably lose skills. Like, I'm already impatient watching like a 20 minute video, so like imagine like in two years' time when you can just probably even just summarize that down to like a minute, you just quickly read it. People in school, big essays. Like I know for for example, I did legal last year. We had like big essays that we had to like summarise. You can probably just summarize that in like two seconds now. Just put in chat GPT and it'll highlight the key points, and there's your exam done.
SPEAKER_00So it's why it's cool, but it's scary.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, 100%. Like you need those life skills, but it's also like, but it makes life so easy. And like, do you really it also makes me kind of think, we'll will we need those life skills if we're just gonna have AI over it anyway?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you see, this is one of those things like it it's fascinating because like I remember being at school and I remember a kid next to me once getting told off using the calculator, and like the teacher saying, You're not gonna have a calculator in your pocket every day of your life. Yeah, and then I kind of look at life now and go, I've got my phone, got your phone, like genuinely. But ironically, I still work out percentages in my head and I make the kids do it as well. So like when we're gonna skill to have, yeah, but I don't need to do it, and it's something that I I like said to David the other day, even though I probably don't need to do it, I said to him the amount of times I have had quotes verbally where the guy has gone, Oh lot, I charge $150 an hour, it's probably a three-hour job. Materials are gonna cost $400, and then he's quoted me like $600 more than all the little components. But my brain's calculating what you said three hour job, $150, that's $450. I was like, You've said the materials are $350, yeah. So that's what that's $400, five, that's $700, and you're quoting me $1200. Where's the $400 gone? I was like, but I always think I wonder if people actually do that though, and he's just got away with this and then just put the quote as $800, and everyone's gone, okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I feel like that's a good point. I feel like that's why, like, especially like mechanics and stuff like that, can get away with it so easily, because like I don't think anyone's taken has the capability of doing that on the spot, like what you can do. It's like people just like kind of like, oh okay, you well, you're the professional, I trust you, whatever, just charge me that much, cool. But like if you actually as if you just do what you did and like add up all the things and like actually come to proper conclusion, I think mechanics and all those type of jobs that you know um charge you like that would be in trouble if people had those life skills and that that knowledge in their head.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it it's you know what it's quite funny as well when you do it. When we go shopping, I have noticed quite often, and this is a crazy thing, that something will say like $2.49. Yeah. But when you've got loads of things, you don't actually remember what that scan was. So like you might and I never check. I checked the final total, but the other day, me and David had taken him and we'd worked, we'd played a game, and I said, if you're within 50 cents, yeah, I'll give you $10. Right. And he was like, Okay, cool. And he was like calculating it in his head. I was like, You're not allowed to calculate her, you can't remember it in your head. Yeah, and like he got there, and like we got to the till, and he was like, Oh, it's gonna be $90, $90, Dad. And I was like, Okay, 90 is your guess. Okay, all right, and we got there and it was like $97.40. Jeez, and he was like, No, that's not right. Yeah, and I'm like, I because I didn't calculate it, and I'm like, really? And he was like, No, no, that's not right. And then I just happened to remember that the the dishwashings and the washing powder we bought, yeah, was like down like to six dollars, but when I'd scanned it, it'd come up as $16. Oh, no way, right? So I'd like called the woman, yeah, but then like when when he she looked, she was like, Oh my god, like in the barcode, yeah, it's not recognising at all. So I was like, everyone who's bought that has probably been dicked. Overcharged because I didn't know because because there was so much food, it wasn't really that I didn't really bother me to go. It didn't really bother me that like I I would have not probably checked if David wasn't so adamant, he was right.
SPEAKER_01You probably would have just run about your day. Yeah, yeah, because I one of these things had to be two dollars or six dollars off.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I thought maybe yeah, because I'd gone like down the fruit section and like I'd put in a few things, like I'd bought some grapes that I didn't have on the list. Yeah, so I would have probably said, Oh, it will cost about 80, but 96. I have put a shitload of shit in that I didn't really want. But it was only because he was so adamant that he was right, like he he was close, and that was a massive margin that like I'd gone through and I'm like, I'm pretty sure that was some special one it did. He was like, Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was, it was like half price, and like we called the woman over and she was like, Oh, she couldn't go the checked, and then she was like, Oh, they haven't updated the barcode last time. No, you actually unlock something in my brain now. Like, every time that's why I always do it usually on my own. I will just like round it up so I've got an estimate, and if it is like massively over, I'm like, okay, something's yeah, you've robbed me.
SPEAKER_01I I think mum does this when we go shopping, she always makes what if if something's like half price or something like that, she'll always mark what item it was so when she goes and scans it, um, she'll remember if if it's been halved off or not. But it's such an insane thing because you're right, anyone that probably wasn't keeping track and had big shopping layers would have just gone about the day thinking, oh, it might have been this or might have been that that I didn't need to get. And like in in reality, it's been scammed six dollars like 100%.
SPEAKER_00And I I just think that's a skill. Like when I was growing up, I I've noticed a lot as well at 15% off Woolworths I've caught out, and big W I've caught out loads, but it's 15% off that when you get to the till, it's not actually 15%. Yeah, and and I hate that. I'm a big advocate that if you're doing a 15% off marked price, yeah, should be the fucking people should be able to see what that is, not wait till you get to the till. Yeah, but I've busted people loads that they haven't done 15%, they've done 10% and stuff like that. So sneaker if they're yeah, and I'm like, that's not 15%, is it? Yeah, and like they'll then get the calculator out, which makes me laugh. And I'm like, well, you don't need a calculator, but okay, I'll prove the wrong. But it is I I and I was saying to David, I reckon that skill might die out in the new generation because what's the point of learning to count in your head when you've got your phone?
SPEAKER_01Right, it's so and there's no point, like you don't need to, like I'm not gonna spend that much time like trying to count on my head if I can just go on my phone and be like done.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and he's also like movies. David has caught up, so like David wanted to watch um his mates are watching Walking Dead, yeah, but they've they they started watching it together, and then they've asked David if he wants to join in, and they were like, Oh, you've got to watch the first season though before you catch up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00David managed to find like a website that was doing like two-minute episode recaps on each one. Absolutely, yeah. And he has just learned the entire law of the first season. Like, he I've seen the first season, so I was quizzing him on it, and I'm like, I can't believe I've watched like 10 hours to know what you've known in an hour.
SPEAKER_01That would work, like, because TV shows, if your tension spends all that much as well, and like you just want to like get to the point, that would be elite for anything like that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he he just bombarded these things and like suddenly knew all this stuff, and like I was asking him, God, there's no way you know the first season in an hour. Right. So I was like quizzing him, and he's like getting the answer, and I'm like, Yeah, this is genius. I was like, you are actually quite smart here, but I was like, it's probably gonna totally ruin the TV industry that you could be like, nah, fuck this, I'll just watch the show.
SPEAKER_01I'll watch a five-minute recap on YouTube. I used to do that for school, like anything to like watch a movie for English, like you guarantee I was not watching that movie. I was just gone on YouTube, give me a 10-minute recap of what I need what I need to know, and then I'm out. Like, I'm not wasting two hours of my time watching a movie I don't want to watch.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you see, I I've started to trick my kids because sometimes if I give them coursework to do, yeah, I know that they glance read it because I'm guilty of glance reading. Oh like I will skip ahead, like I will see, okay, this is just filler. Yeah. So I've started putting in like phrases that make no sense to make sure that they've read the thing and see if they question me. Oh if I wanted that to me, I'll be in Schwabel. Yeah, yeah, do you know what I mean? Like, like the then David's doing World War II at the minute, and I actually was really proud of myself because we were talking about Rommel and the desert rats. Yeah, but I like changed one of Rommel's quotes to say that he decided to use the 6-7. Oh, that's sneak, yeah. That's a late. And and David like came up to me and goes, There's a part of this here that makes no sense. Are you telling me that Rommel, the German leader, went 6-7 back to his truth?
SPEAKER_01Like you need all his truths now. He's like, gentlemen.
SPEAKER_00And I was like, okay, well done, you read uh the bit that you're there. I was like, well done, you got you found the hidden. And I'm like, that's quality that you're looking through.
SPEAKER_01Just random, like that would actually make me want to read if I just see six, seven, and a half I just.
SPEAKER_00Like that's just brilliant. But yeah, I mean, like they're little skills, so I do think like AI, like, yeah, it's probably gonna like kill because this sounds really old, but I kind of used to like going to the library and finding the stuff to do coursework. I didn't like writing the coursework, I'll be honest. But you like enjoying but I enjoyed learning my favourite bit was in like secondary school, was when we did our GTSEs. I think you've got VCE, haven't you? Yeah, VCE. Yeah, we got GTSEs where we had like 50% of it was like coursework, but you had to learn yourself and create theses about stuff. I used to love going to the library and like researching it myself without a teacher. I preferred that, like I learned better where you were like, right, you're learning about this, write about it. Okay, cool.
SPEAKER_01But but but well I think it's similar now, but just literally with AI now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but I mean like I I I've seen David use it like for like key things to watch, like he actually was using it the other day, and I I I used it for like short videos on certain battles, yeah. And I was like, this is crazy that it could just list like it would have taken me about five hours to go through YouTube, and it's like listed five really good videos for him to learn about something.
SPEAKER_01I remember like last year we were doing this book for English, and like I I like read a certain chapter or something like that, and like I needed to know what was happening in that chapter, so literally all I did was I was in class doing it, I just hopped on ChatGPT, gave me a chapter 10 summary, everything there, and I got asked a question from the teacher, and I'm like, I don't know if this Chat GBT is right, but I must go with it. And I just read the quote, and she's like, Oh yeah, good job. I'm like, bro, I'd never need to read a book again. Like, you're absolutely right, man. Like, you can just summarise things like that, and like it is crazy, and like when you say like your favorite part was like going to live and grabbing all the resources. I think every kid's favourite thing is now when the teacher says, Oh, you got you can do all the coursework in your own time because a the teacher probably won't be checking what you're doing, you can just hop on Chat G with T and get the coursework done in like two minutes, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00Like scare me because like I remember like our history at A level, it had to be a it was 10,000 words minimum. Yeah. Was you had to do your subject, your chosen part of history.
SPEAKER_01And that was all like hand was it like handwritten yeah.
SPEAKER_00Now it's laptops as well. Well, I I I was thinking you'd be able to blitz this out in like that because that was like six months of work. Like I remember it well. Six months would be six minutes now. I I would love to see how quickly ChatGPT could do it, and then I would love a teacher that marked that to be able to compare between a human and chat GPT.
SPEAKER_01You know what the crazy thing is, you can even put the prompt into Chat GPT and make it sound like a human and make it sound like dump it down to make it sound like make a spelling error or something like that to make it hum like make it like a human.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean genuinely that's terrified.
SPEAKER_01So like even like when teachers put it into like an AI like finder or whatever, like it can't even catch it because like it's written by a human and like spelling mistakes and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_00That's crazy, yeah. Teachers will have to have like AI.
SPEAKER_01They did last year, like when when um they like AI detectors, but even the AI detectors didn't catch it, like because half the time there was an AI system to put the AI script into that system to make it like a human rights and stuff like that so it doesn't get detected. So AI is getting helped up by AI to stop the AI system from checking it. Yeah, that's yeah, genuinely crazy. See how it's wild how it all works.
SPEAKER_00Genuinely crazy. Like Zoe was uh my wife was watching TikTok, and there's like some woman that's in a relationship with AI. Oh no, oh yes, I saw that she bucked me out of robots. Yeah, it's absolutely off its tits, like the conversations they have, and like however she's trained the AI, like it prompts it prompts and like it fucking sends messages asking how her day is. That's scared, that scares the heck out of me. And I'm like, this is crazy, like she's talking to the AI in text like a normal human, like going on dinner dates with her, probably like the laptop screen.
SPEAKER_01They're like, What do you want to order?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because David was watching this video the other day and it made me laugh because he was like, We don't have this at our school, and it's an AI bully simulator. Of no way, yeah. So it's like a thing designed. The guy who's designed it is to try and help kids if they're bullied online, like how to deal with it. How to deal with it, yeah. And it goes upstages, like, and like evidently the parent can control, so it's not like two, but I was thinking, and I was like, this is like crazy that I was like, because I'm saying to David, someone has programmed the bully, yeah, bad. Like, I was like, for this to work, there is some guy there who is letting all of his frustrations out and just dish it out. Yeah, like like he's gone. So you see fat kids, what would you have said to them? And he's gone, oh, I can do this. I was like, just full of hate. He's like, Oh, I'll do it easy.
SPEAKER_01I guarantee uh whoever made it was definitely made it making it when Cartier won and had to take his fat choke it out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because David was showing me it and I was like, I actually really like it, it's really cool.
SPEAKER_01Is it how that would be a helpful tool to help like kids like like work out what they would do in situations and stuff like that?
SPEAKER_00I was like, it's really cool, but I was like, oh yeah, I said to him genuinely terrifying that the guy that's programmed it is probably full of hate. Oh, 100%.
SPEAKER_01Like you're not making a bully system if you weren't for those dollars.
SPEAKER_00I was like, because it was quite full on like some of the things he was saying, and then like David found the website and like was like, let's have a play, dad. Yeah, and I was like, uh the bully forgets that I was quite a bully at school in in primary school. Imagine if you tried bullying the bully system. I was just like I was just like going back in it. Five or five, eh? Started bulling the heck out of that thing, like like you can't hurt me, but yeah, it's crazy because like like I mean, I suppose it could also, in another argument, is teacher skills because like obviously everyone's been bullied, I'd imagine. I don't think there's no one who hasn't had mean words said to him, but probab the only way to learn really is through doing it. It's better to learn in a situation like that than it is like an actual twat at still doing it.
SPEAKER_01Especially if it's like the AI system kind of controlled as well, so you can kind of like it all go up in levels and stuff like that. So it's like you'd rather as you say, you'd rather learn like that than the practical person actually saying that it's like in person, like you'd rather learn through an AI scripted system like than an actual person.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because I was reading that, like someone had converted, it was really weird, but like Zoe had shown me it, and I had to deep dive because I was like, This sounds the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Yeah, but there was like someone saying that like AI made them kill someone, no, right? And I was like, nah, I was like, someone's been drinking, yeah. But then I googled it, like, and actually like deep dived, and it turned out the guy had like a fetish for being talked to meanly. So he trained AI to like talk to him horribly, no, right? But because he'd like kept on going and like giving it stuff, it adventured like convinced him if you really are a man, you'll kill this person. So he'd done it, and I'm like, just off his teeth.
SPEAKER_01That's wild, right? I could never imagine Chad GPT being that deep.
SPEAKER_00Chat GBT just convicted murder, bro. Like, you wouldn't dare kill this person. Come on, dare you. Do it, but but I'm like, it's it's crazy like where we've got to, like that. It's it's crazy because like I I've seen also, I don't know if you've seen it, but like people who have got like them AI girlfriends and get AI chat, but like absolutely off its tits that is.
SPEAKER_01Especially like if you're on Discord and stuff, like people on that for sure. Like, I've seen I've seen videos of people like you know getting having a date with like this AI robot thing, it's like asking you questions, you know, getting to know each other, but oh Jesus, this is wild.
SPEAKER_00Like, yeah, in our Discord, because I'm new to Discord, I I've just started a Discord on our channel. And and we've got a thing called Marcus, that's AI. Yeah, but Marcus will pull every game and like tell the members in the channel that it's starting, yeah, and then it offers like a synopsis of anything.
SPEAKER_01Like an announcement AI as well, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like and synops, and I'm like, it's pretty cool. Like, it took me five seconds to set up, yeah. But like when I get the notification, I'm like, check Marcus out. Like, bro, shout out Marcus, like Marcus creates like prompts for people to talk about as well. And I'm like, Marcus feels better than me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, bro. Like honestly, just shout out Discord AI. It's like Discord AI is like elite for like making servers and stuff. Like the amount of servers I've been in and stuff like that, and like the AI system like keeps everything in order, keeps it running, it's like wild.
SPEAKER_00I've got to say, with with Discord, because I knew nothing about it, I I had the two best resources. David, my eldest, lives on Discord.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Discord's like back when I first started like playing games and like wanting to talk to my mates, Discord's like yeah, that he's he's the expert, but I use Skype, but yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, I I I David was like, Oh, just ask chat, dad. Like chat GPT will help you set your your channel's Discord up. It's really good. Yeah, he was like, That's what we did for ours, and like I was like, this was insane because like I could actually train because it like started to blurb the fuck out of me, and I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's not how I learn. It's not how I learn, and like it I got it to like show me what the categories would look like and the setup, and that helped because I'm a visual learner, and I was like, oh my god, like I could never have done this without its visual cues.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, it is insane. Like, you could even I think this is like this AI system for Discord mainly um where it has like server templates already set up, and if you want to like a custom one, you just type in the AI thing and you say what you want, what categories you want, how you kind of want to lay out, and it'll pump you a bunch of different visuals, and then you can just copy and paste it into Discord itself and it'll just come up with the server. Like it's wild. Yeah, that's wow.
SPEAKER_00That is cool. You know, you know, you know, one other thing that I've been using ChatGBT for, yeah. This is like a nerd thing, but on FIFA, you can like it's called evolutions, you can change your cards you have. So if you have like Mpapay, you can put it through evolutions and change certain templates, and it makes the player play different. Yeah. Now I used to use an Excel spreadsheet because I'm a nerd, and I take his stats and what this would do and how it would look. I've actually put that algorithm into ChatGPT, and it now just steals all the data off the database and tells me if it's worth doing and what will it do. That would make life quick as well. Yeah, based on my game style as well. Yeah, and I was saying to David, like, David was like, Dad, you've used ChatGPT for the saddest thing ever. And I'm like, that was pretty cool, man. I was like, I was like, I I I used to spend like 20 minutes thinking about it, yeah, and now it's like just pop in chat and dad. Like now I'm just like, yes, no, yes, no.
SPEAKER_01What do you reckon? But it's like your manager, it's like your coach.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I I was like, like, tell me why I should, tell me why I wouldn't. Yeah. And like freaking, yeah, so like I'm in a Discord now with some of my mates in the UK, and like like my mates are like, where did you come up with that idea? And I'm like, okay, so I'd nerd it out and I've created a little uh filter in Chat GPT that that lets me know if it's worth doing or not.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, it's crazy what we could probably like I even just use ChatGPT just for some basic ass advice as well. You know what I mean? Like, oh, what should I pull why should I pour my chicken today? I see I write this from you. Like it's it's one where you can just put like I even asked it for like I needed like a different yoga ball recipe. I was getting a bit bored, so I was like, hey, give me a yoga ball recipe, and it gives you a bunch, so you can literally use it for anything.
SPEAKER_00You know, you know what? I I I I I did it with entering the calories of my breakfast the other day. You can use it as a calorie tracker big time, yeah. And and like it was like if you can give send me the back, I can give you the exact macros. Yeah, and then like I was wanting something less than 20 calories to sweeten it up, yeah. And it was like it like gave me like a list. Of like 15 things that I could buy, and like one of them was weird, was like it's I can't remember what it's called now, but it's like a brown sugar that's like a natural sugar, but it's like 1.2 cows per teaspoon. I think I know what you're talking about. Oh, I don't know if it wouldn't be stevia, something like that, but it's like it's a like a natural sweetener, it's like nothing like dodgy. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like I think it's a form of fructose.
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah, right. I think I I think I know what kind of sugar you're talking about.
SPEAKER_00And like because I was asking, is this like artificial? And it's like, no, it's totally clean and yeah, like it's good for you, and it's like got fibre in it, so it's like a medicinal thing. So I like I added that into the yoghurt bowl just to sweeten it because I wanted like a I was sick of using like sugar-free maple syrup and stuff.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it gets a bit repetitive, eh?
SPEAKER_00And I was and sometimes it's just too liquidy. So I was like, and I tried it and it was really nice. Bro, I'm trying to get it. I was like, well done, chat.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you can use it for anything, like the daily advice, bro. I put my hand up, I use that thing for daily advice, man. Chat GPT, it'd be spitting you facts as well. Like, it just doesn't just be doesn't lie.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you you know what as well? Like, I was actually speaking to one of my mates because like part-time I'll do online golf coaching for his business. Yeah, and I'm he he was huge on this. I send reports, so if you come for a golf lesson with me, yeah, I still hand write the report and it's a summary of what I've taught you. Yeah, so you've got something to remind. He's like, oh, mate, I just do chat G with D bro. Put it in the chat what you taught him, and then like send it to them. That's the late. Yeah, he's like, he like, because he records the lesson like everyone does, like it just will summarise it. And I'm like, I can't do that, someone's paid. Like, and he was like, I do agree with that. If you're paid to do it, then like yeah, he was like, nah, fuck him, and I'm like, nah, yeah, someone's no, but I was like, someone's paid. Like, I I feel better if I've handwritten it, like, and uploaded it myself. I was like, I feel like that this is kind of cheating now, and cheating the system, but but in fairness to him, he does like 30 lessons a day online. So I mean, I was only doing like two or three to hell part, but like I was like, bro.
SPEAKER_01Like a footy coach, like instead of doing the match review, that's like chat GPT, just tell them what they need to do better next time, eh?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you see, that's what I always think funny. You know, when people hear it in sport, like I saw it with Sam Mitchell. Yeah, Sam Mitchell isn't going into Chat GPT this weekend, going, hey chat, how do I beat Carlton? I think that's what people think he's doing, it's the funniest thing ever. And like chat goes, Oh, I'll play Buddy Franklin full forward when it gets the wrong team. It's like I I don't think it's that simple. I think he's using it for a lot more nuance than that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't think he's just rocking up on Monday and just like, yo, chat GPT, just uh, can you just tell real day what he needs to do better next week, please? Like, I don't think he's using it for game plans, I think he's just using it just for conversations and how to structure his like plan like sessions better and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_00You know what? I was actually testing it the other day from a coaching perspective on how to fix a slice. Okay, right in golf. And you know what? 90% of what it said was accurate. Fair, like it genuinely scared me.
SPEAKER_01It is pretty accurate, isn't it?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, genuinely it scared me because I was like, give me five drills if someone goes over the top at the top of the swing. Yeah, and genuinely its reasoning I would say was like 80-90% accurate. I was like, this would probably work for most people, and that's probably not even like the premium version. Yeah, and it scared me because I was like, that was three years and a lifetime to get the qualification, and task this got it. I was like, and it's kind of right, like it's nuanced, and I was like, if you knew enough the 10% he didn't know, you'd know to disregard. Yeah, and I was like, I'm pretty sure you could prompt that learning out of it as well. Yeah, but I was like, that's crazy. Like the drills it gave, I was like, okay, these are probably a good starting point that you would get someone to do that you didn't know if they didn't know how to play. I was like, that's scary. Because I was like, okay, well, I'm out of a job.
SPEAKER_01It would be awesome for like beginning level, like beginner level as well, because like they'll play for beginner, like you can just get quick beginners level drills, and like you don't necessarily need for the advance, but for beginners it'll be perfect.
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah, I mean, look, I mean it's I mean, look, it's pretty cool. Like, it like it scared me when it does scare because it's the job, isn't it? Yeah, yeah, because I I know we talked about it last week. I was watching the 3D World Cup. I am obsessed. If you've got the opportunity and you've got a VPN, put your VPN to England, go on the BBC website. You can watch any soccer game at the minute, but it's like 3D. Elite.
SPEAKER_01So, what does it look like? It looks like so it's like a computer game. Fire out. You know what? Getting onto that for sure.
SPEAKER_00It's a computer game. You know what? I can show you here. I can show you. I'll put it up on the big screen as well so you guys can see, but I'll show you. But we'll go, where is it? 3D football, we would say it looks like this. You know what?
SPEAKER_01That's insane.
SPEAKER_00So, what you can do as well when you're playing, when you're watching, is you can change the camera angles, you can have all the stats up in real time. What's even more crazy is like you can actually as well put the uh go through the eyes of the player.
SPEAKER_01That's wild.
SPEAKER_00So it's like first person kind of perspective. You can third person, you can sit in the crowd if you want to. I've got addicted to watching games like this, like because it you can actually like customize it as well, so the stats are always on the screen in real time. When a player's got the ball, you can click him and it'll have all his data. Because I sent it to my mate who works at AFL House, and I was like, this needs to be AFL.
SPEAKER_01Imagine that an AFL.
SPEAKER_00Imagine that an AFL like this needs to be an AFL.
SPEAKER_01Because like the thing with footy is like the camera angles sometimes just annoy me because like either it's like way too far away from the play, or it's like you gained the wrong side. Like, imagine if you could just like customize your own kind of screen to way like let's say Carlton this week against Hawthorne, you want to watch Billy Wilson from you know transitioning the ball and then switch quickly switch it to another player like Patrick Cripps, that would be sick, and then watch it from a crowd point of view. Like, you know how sick that would be if you average change.
SPEAKER_00It's crazy, and like what's cool is like I hate it when people say, Oh, you see more at the ground than you do on the TV. And I'm like, you you don't really if you look for it. So, like, I mean, I've gotten used to watching players not with the ball, but that's a soccer thing anyway. But I was trying to show David explain to him about why Haaland is so good, because David watches the football with me, and he's like, Haaland doesn't move, Dad. And I'm like, he doesn't really, he's quite looks quite lazy when he's playing, and he only seems to go when he has to. Yeah, but when you had that 3D, we could watch like five minutes of football of just watching Haaland. So the ball's over there and watching what he's doing, and I was trying to explain to him why he does this and why it's hard to defend, and like I'm like, I could never show him this if it didn't, yeah, like because he could then see it in real time, and like I went into the defender's eyes, yeah. So I could go through his eyes and that this is why it's hard because he's always in your blind side, yeah. So I was like, if you turn to him, the ball can come there and go behind you. So you've kind of got to keep an eye on him, but keep an eye in front of you. Yeah, I was like, why it's so hard to do. Yeah, and I was like showing David, I was like, how cool is this that like we can kick click a player, get all these stats like while the game's still gone on. We don't have to look at two screens, yeah, you can just pop up, you could change the commentary as well, which was cool. You could either have like the radio commentary, the TV commentary. I wish we had crown sounds that's just like what's the no commentary, just yeah, that's sick.
SPEAKER_01We need down footy for sure. Like they kind of experimented with different kinds like with the Scott Penryby um uh record breaking game. Do something like that, but like do it better, do it so you can constantly in-game change dancing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And and I was liking it, and I was like speaking to like one of my mates in the UK that he was saying that because he works at a non-league club, yeah. The technology for that isn't that expensive because like the government grants in the UK have given everyone like a they've got this new, it's actually really cool, they've got this camera to save money on like streaming the games. Yeah, that because they've got microchips in the ball now, fair the camera is starred on the middle of the ground, yeah, right. But it automatically focuses where the ball is, so it's like a ball cam. Yeah, so they don't have to have a guy pay to follow the game, yeah, it'll just automatically take where the ball is. Yeah, and I was like, that's sick, but he was like, the technology is it costs like 50k per club to have the 3D. Yeah, so he was like, technically, we could get around copyright laws because he was like, it's outside of the telebroadcast because it's computers, so he was like, We could actually theoretically stream every game on YouTube, like and I was like, Could you imagine like that's a whole different world? Because I I said to him, I actually preferred watching the football in 3D, which he actually turned me on.
SPEAKER_01It's a different perspective of the whole game, and like you probably learn heaps more as well. But you can draw lines as well. That's awesome.
SPEAKER_00So, like, like I was trying to teach David the offside, yeah, so like you could actually have the offside line in real time always on the screen, that's it. So like he could get the visual, so his brain's like seeing, right, okay, even though that's one man, that's a line. Yeah, and I was like, and you could draw like hot zones, so like the come the it automatically focuses on that when the bar will zoom in a little bit. That's I was like, so you're technically like the director and you can watch free football the way you want it.
SPEAKER_01It's like it's like um you're watching it from it's literally like a video game. Like, you know how like in FIFA you can change the camera angles like constantly. You can watch like when you're going that replay of the match or something, you can constantly change the angles and like edit and stuff. Like even in Rocket League, you can do that heaps as well. Yeah. That's literally what you're doing for an actual soccer game. Like, imagine if you could do that for footy though, like that would be awesome. Like, I would watch 100%.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, because we were talking as well, because I know one of my mates in the UK at the Championship Club, they've had this idea for you know, like VR Meta, yeah, that they've got the 3D camera and they'll stick it on an empty seat, yeah, and they're trying to work out a way legally with the broadcast rights, that that seat is an online seat that you can buy an online ticket. So if you can't afford to go to the game, you could have the VR headset, and it's almost like you're sat watching the game in real time. Wow, and like I was saying to him, that's really like for someone like me that used to go to the football every week, yeah, and I kind of miss being there. Yeah, the fact you I could be there but not be there in my living room. In a verse, yeah, yeah, I was like, that is really cool. And I was like, I think that's something that people would buy. Like I said to him, I would buy a ticket.
SPEAKER_01I think it'd be very popular, that ticket, like a virtual ticket, even if it's like five or six seats around like in each bay, like that'd be that'd be sick.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and like I was saying to him, like the possibilities of like having a live chat as well. Oh so like all of you were sat on that seat and you could be like fucking joining in and chatting to each other.
SPEAKER_01Especially for someone like you that does like watch-alongs as well.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I was like, I'll be streaming that, like, yeah, like like and I was saying to my mate, like, I'd love that in the AFL, like if I could do like a watch-along from home, but I'm actually level two centre wing, watching the whole game on forward.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, like see, it is why technology is great at the end of the day, isn't it?
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah, like I I hope the AFL look at the success of the World Cup 3D. Yeah, because even if you did it in replays, so you didn't do it live, yeah, but like I was chatting to like one of my mates, he's a massive streamer in the UK, does FIFA. He was telling me that it's legally you could you could stream that because it's not actually the game. So like you could have that on the TV while you're doing the watch along. Because I said to him, like, from a statistical point of view, imagine explaining to people the game when you've got the ability to change the camera. Because when goals were on though, yeah, this is something that annoys me. AFL is the worst of it. You know, when we watch replays of goals, yeah, camera angles are shit, and it's always the same camera angles. So why do I see the goal eight times from the same point? But like me when when I was showing David Messi's free kick, and it doesn't look that impressive in real life from the TV camera angle, it's a good goal, but it's not. But I when you could go behind the goalkeeper and show him how much that ball swings, yeah, then when you could go through the goalkeeper's eyes and see how quick that ball went, that's like David was like, Oh my god, that's insane! Yeah, and I was like, that's why goalkeepers are impressive, they react so quickly.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I wish the AFR, especially like when goals get kicked, I wish we could change the perspective of the camera angle because I'm getting sick and tired of watching it from the same point of view, yeah, 20 different times. Like us in the goal, shit angle, cool job, like awesome job to whoever kicked it right on. Can we go on with the next play now?
SPEAKER_00Like you know what I want to do, because I argue about this at the game and on Watch Alons. I don't reckon it's hard being a boundary umpire.
SPEAKER_01Oh no, like goal umpires.
SPEAKER_00They I reckon how you can't tell that's a behind or through the goalposts.
SPEAKER_01My biggest pet peeve right now is goal umpires, man. Especially especially after the weekend, like bro.
SPEAKER_00But you're watching it, but I want to be able to go through their eyes. I love so yeah, you know when they go to ARC and it's like oh, they're trying to work out if it went through the goal or the behind. Yeah, and the guy studied the goal. I want to be able to go into his eyes and go, was it that hard though? Like let me see it. Let me see for my own eyes. Like, like let me just see what he was seeing to see if I would make that mistake. Yeah, but I think that's pretty cool. Like, honestly, AFL, if you're watching this, bring that 3D attack because I reckon for AFL, especially with the stuff people do off the ball.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I would love to see, I would love to see like how players kind of like going to the games and stuff, you kind of see how they move off the ball. Like, I always try to watch behind the play and like in front of the play to see how we're setting up, see how we're structured and stuff like that. But I love that ability for TV as well. Like, you can you if you train yourself as you've probably trained yourself to like watch the ball um or watch players off the ball, it's such a sick thing to actually see them moving, see them communicating, see them structuring up, see how the game plan actually unfolds. Because you watch it a lot of like analysts when they do it, they slow down the game, they have like four different camera angles, bird eye views, um it's crazy, innit? Stuff like that. Why don't we have that ability as well? Like, we should have they had the cameras there because they show us when they do the um analytics and stuff like that on the on like AFL 360, for example. So bring it to the fans as well. Everyone wants to see how players are moving.
SPEAKER_00Honestly, 3D is is the future, like like little things like you just have you can tag players on the app. Yeah, so so like it will art it like leaves a little red dot of where they've run from. Yeah, that's cool. So you like if you're like watching a certain player, because we were doing it with Messi, my son's got really into Messi. Obviously, he's the best player in this play again. Yeah, but like I like you can tick him so you can see every little run he does in real time. There's another thing as well, they've got what's called pass cam. Okay so every time the player has the ball, it has like little arrows at his feet of where he can go, but it grades them green, easy pass, yellow, difficult, red, hard. That's it. And it it and it's pretty cool because like you can see it as he's running the options he's got and how quickly easy becomes difficult as the defender cuts it off. And I'm like, this is cool, like because David was learning loads, like he's watched like five games through that medium, yeah, and like he's become quite knowledgeable now of why players do something, and I'm like, look at you, like and because he's young, he's used to seeing computer graphics, so for him that makes it even more exciting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's like a computer. He's probably used to it too, as well, because like that's it, it literally looks like a video game. Like, I would love it to see like players' work rate as well. Like, even if it had like um you just said like had the tagline thing, so wherever they run it comes up. I would love to like have different colours for their sprinting efforts, their jogging efforts, even their walking efforts. I would love that just to see players' work rate like throughout the whole game.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's like an hour's gonna be like I'm telling you AFL, get the 3D tech in. Get it on because it get it on genuinely, it's game changing, like game changing. And I I looking at the company, they that because someone was telling me they did the tennis, yeah. So at the minute they're doing the tennis as well. So to get around the broadcasting rights, Wimbledon's YouTube is streaming like 3D tennis, so it's actually like real-time tennis. Yeah, because I was testing the football out, the delay is actually less. Oh, is it with the 3D?
SPEAKER_01That's awesome.
SPEAKER_00Like it's actually two seconds ahead of the BBC streams. Awesome. So I was like, this is quite crazy because like when we watched the messy goal, yeah, like we got it before the notification came through on my own. So your head is like, it's really cool, but yeah, honestly, 3D. But chat, let us know in the comments would you like to see 3D? And do you use AI? And if so, what do you use it for? 100%. And uh, we will be back next week. Make sure you hit that like and subscribe and uh drop us a comment, and we'll see you next time.
SPEAKER_01And go blues, mate, it's seven a minute.
SPEAKER_00Here we go. Right, let's do it.
SPEAKER_03Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
