A breakup can be painful on its own, but sometimes it also unlocks something older, deeper, and stored in the body. We sit down with Elissa Creamer, founder of Love Beam Wellness, as she shares the real story behind Love Always: how an unexpected separation in 2015 brought back the same physical feeling she carried after her mother’s sudden death when Elissa was 15, and why that moment pushed her to finally face grief instead of outrunning it.
From there, we get concrete about what “wellness” actually means. We talk about wellness as an active pursuit shaped by intentions, choices, and actions, and we walk through the dimensions that matter most: physical wellness through nourishment, movement, and sleep; mental wellness through learning and creativity; emotional wellness through feeling and expressing truth; spiritual wellness through meaning, purpose, and connection; and even environmental wellness through how we relate to the planet and our spaces.
Then we demystify Reiki for anyone curious about energy healing. Elissa explains Reiki as a Japanese relaxation technique that also promotes healing, breaks down Rei and Ki, and connects Reiki to the chakra system, with a preview of an upcoming series exploring the seven major chakras from root to crown. We close with a Holy Love distance Reiki guided meditation you can return to whenever you need calm and reset. If this resonates, subscribe, share the show with a friend, and leave a review, then tell us what you felt during the meditation.

I gotta let it show. I'm coming out. Yes, I am coming out into the podcast world, sharing my gifts and talents. I am so excited and happy to finally be here in this moment, sharing my voice and sharing my gifts and talents. And I um my prayer and my wish and my intention is that this is for the highest good of all. I trust that it is for the highest good of all. And also, you know, if you're here, you you take what is good for you, you leave what is not, and all in the name of love, all in the name of love. So thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for being here. So in this first episode, I just am going to share a little bit about myself and a little bit about my journey and what has brought me here to this place, this place and time, to this podcast, and a little bit about love being wellness, my business. And we will end with a Reiki healing experience, which I'm so excited about. It's gonna be a holy love experience. So if you're just here for the Reiki, right, um, you can go to the end of this podcast and I will note uh where you can find that, where that starts. I will note that. So if that's all you're here for. Um, and if you're here for more than that, you know, stick with me and let's jump right in. Let's get started.
A Breakup That Reopened Grief
SPEAKER_01So I am Elisa Creamer, and um yeah, I have been on a, well, we we all, right? We're all on a journey all through our lives, right? Hopefully we all are learning and growing and evolving um from our experiences. And um yeah, yes, hopefully we are. And so when I really started to begin on um my healing journey was about 10 years ago. Um, well, now that we're in 2026, I'd say 11 years ago. So back in 2015, things in my life really began to shift and change and get illuminated. And things were illuminated from a breakup that I was going through after being in a seven-year relationship and going through a breakup. Um, things started to begin to illuminate in my life. Um, I had two children, one of which I shared with the person that I was going through the breakup with. And, you know, we were in a seven-year relationship. This is a person that I have known all my life since kindergarten. And we, you know, we were in, you know, went through elementary school together and junior high and high school, nonetheless. Anyway, I share all that to say that. You know, we were young, we were in our 20s, um and all that's neither here nor there. Let me let me get to the point. Um, I share all that to say this. When we broke up, when the when the breakup happened, it was it was um unexpected. And yeah, it was unexpected. And I say that in the sense that, yes, um, not everything was like, you know, roses and rainbows, right? I mean, no real relationships are roses and rainbows all the time, right? It takes hard work. Um it takes, yeah, it takes a choice, right? You make a choice to be in relationship. And so, um, again,
Losing Her Mother At Fifteen
SPEAKER_01when things really hit the fan and things shifted, and we shifted into this unexpected uh separation, I noticed that in my body, the feeling that was coming up for me was the same feeling that I experienced when I was 15 years old, and my mother unexpectedly was killed in a train accident where um she was down at the train station, uh, commuting to her morning job and to the city, and her actual physical body was hit and dismembered by a freight train. And so I noticed that that was really coming up for me and my body at that time. And I decided that, you know, I needed to do something about that because it was very important to me, and it still is very important to me that um that I've lived a long life, that I can be here with my children for for a long time to help them and to watch them grow. And, you know, perhaps if they decide to have children one day to be a grandmother or maybe a grandparent to their animals or whatever they decide. But it was very important to me to be healthy and to be there, be here, be there, and be their mother. And so I decided that it was time that I that I look into that, right? That I look into why is that feeling coming up? Why is it feeling like my mom is dying all over, right? Why is this breakup bringing that up in me? And so
Kundalini Yoga Leads To Reiki
SPEAKER_01I began to look into that, and so I began a journey um through going to uh kundalini yoga classes um that were aligned with the new moon and the full moon. I began that journey, and then through these kundaluni uh classes, um, the teacher actually was like a wandering kundalini teacher. So she would teach at all these different locations, um, which was really cool because it would highlight like different wellness areas, um, wellness centers, um, studios. It was a really cool experience. So anyway, with that, I found um a Reiki um energy healer through that and went to some of her classes and like I said, really started to look at this feeling, this feeling that was coming up for me and in my body, right? And just really looking at and examining the feeling because a loss is a loss, right? A loss doesn't have to be to, you know, you're losing someone to death, right? Um, it could, it can come in the form, right, as a relationship breakup. And remembering that the relationship breakup could be with uh your partner, right? Uh a romantic partner. It could be with a platonic partner, right? With your friends, you know, sometimes we outgrow each other and it can be a painful experience. And so um I learned through through this through this breakup um with my with my child's father that I was still caring and not confronting um a lot of grief and trauma surrounding my mom and in her accident and her and her death. And of course I was because you know my family did the best that they could do, and and I love and appreciate them for that. But, you know, as I've grown and and gotten older older and have learned, um there are some things that I feel could have been handled differently, you know, one of being um perhaps some grief counseling and some communication around all of the things to that would have helped me, that would have helped my 15-year-old self, right, to be supported, to feel supported, and to be able to process all of the things. So, um, so yeah, and so I am happy that the breakup really, really got me started on this healing journey, um, got me started to to look at the grief, to look at the pain, to just look over the things that I have um, you know, the things that I had experienced in my life and how those things shaped me and made me into the person that I am today. And so, um, so I I am I am I am grateful for all the things that have led me to this moment, you know, whether they are can be perceived as bad or or good things or hurtful or painful things, they they have led me to love, right? And um, I truly believe and know and trust and feel that that love is the strongest and greatest power, and the more that we can lean into that and open our hearts into love, the better we are for that. So that's just a little bit background history about me and my story, and what kind of led me to becoming a a Reiki practitioner and then a Reiki master and Reiki master teacher, and which led to my business, which is Love Beam Wellness, and which has also influenced this podcast, uh, Love Always. And so with this podcast, um I plan in the the next um seven episodes to share uh Reiki to look at the seven major chakras. And um, so yeah, let's get into that. Let's talk about that. Let's talk about love being wellness, um, what what I am talking about when I talk about uh wellness, what I'm referencing, and then let's talk a little bit about Reiki, what that is, because maybe you know or maybe you do not know. And then let's get uh Reiki experience so you can feel you know what that is, and then like I said, in the upcoming episodes, we will go through um the seven chakras, and we will have a Reiki experience focused on each one of those chakras.
Love Beam Wellness And Wellness Defined
SPEAKER_01So love beam wellness. Um, as you can hear and hear me, you know, it's all about love. It truly is, and um it is, you know, and so love beam wellness. I I chose that name because I want to beam love into the world, right? Beam the love into the world, and um yeah, just have that high vibration of love. And so when I think about wellness, I'm thinking of wellness, you know, it's not a passive um state, right? It is an active pursuit, okay, that is associated with intentions, choices, and actions as we work towards optimal state of help, of help, of health, right? As we work towards an optimal state of health. And so, and as I as I share that with you, I feel the the the same way about love, right? Love is when we work with intention and choices and action, right, to get to that optimal state of health and well-being. Um, and wellness is an individual pursuit, right? Um, as I also I love how these are interchanging with each other. Believe that love also is an individual uh pursuit, and we have self-responsibility for our own choices, our behaviors, and our lifestyles. And I believe that wellness is multidimensional, right? We have physical wellness, right? We have our physical well-being, we have our mental, we have our emotional, and we have our spiritual. And so when I think of physical well-being, I think about nourishing, right? Nourishing our body in a healthy way through our, through our exercise, through our nutrition, right? Through the foods that we put in our body, uh, through sleep. When I think about mental wellness, I think about um like how we engage with the world through our learning, through our problem solving, through creativity. When I think about emotional, I think about being aware, right, of accepting and expressing our feelings, understanding the feelings of others. And when I think about spiritual, thinking about searching for meaning um and higher purpose and human existence, um, you know, connecting socially and engaging um, you know, with people, with community, with others, with ourselves, with our higher self. Dare I say, with God within, God within us. So yeah. And so yeah, that's that's how I feel. That's how I feel about wellness. Um also mentioning like uh the environment, right? Environmental wellness, like having a positive interactions between dear sweet mama earth and our planet and humans and our choices and our well-being. So that that is wellness. That's my take on wellness. Um, and yeah, that's my take on wellness and how I want to, you know, I encourage you to think about all those areas of wellness. And so now we will, we're moving right along.
What Reiki Is And How It Works
SPEAKER_01We're moving right along into Reiki, right? So what is Reiki? What is Reiki? So a short explanation of Reiki is it's a Japanese tech technique um for relaxation that also promotes healing. And um it promotes healing in in all those areas of wellness that I just shared. Um it is it's energy, right? It's energy healing. Um, we understand that science dictates that everything is made of energy, right? Everything is made of energy. Uh, if you're sitting in a chair, your your chair is made of energy, right? Your car um is made of energy. Uh your body is made of energy. Science also explains that energy cannot be created or just destroyed, it can only be changed. It can only be changed. Um, think about, you know, have you ever experienced like you you go in a place, you go into a restaurant, or you you go into someone's home and you're like, mmm, right, like something just does not feel right to or or or for you, right? You can feel the energy of that space. You're aware of that, of the energy of the space. So when we think about Reiki as um energy healing, as a technique for uh relaxation that, like I said, also promotes healing. It it promotes self-healing, right? We've had so many modern medicine um advancements, which are great, right? It is great. Modern medicine is awesome, it is great, but it has also inadvertently diminished our innate ability to self-heal. I truly believe that we can self-heal, that we have all of the answers within us, right? And so with that, thinking of Reiki, Reiki is composed of two Japanese words, one being re and the other being ki. So re can be defined as many things, right? It's sometimes hard to translate, right, uh, Japanese into exact English. Uh, so it can be defined as many things, such as the higher intelligence that that guides creation in the universe, right? Uh as God, as love, as love, as your higher self, as your higher consciousness. Um, and then we have qi, which is non-physical energy that flows through all living things, or maybe you've heard of like the qi, uh, in in in uh Chinese terms, we talk about qi, right? Your your life force energy, your breath, if you will. Um and so that is what Reiki is, and Reiki works with the chakra system. And perhaps you've heard of the chakra system. Um now we do have over a hundred um different chakras in the body. But if you are familiar of or have or have heard of the chakra system, you probably are familiar with the seven major chakras, right? That start from the base of the spine and then they travel through the crown of the head. So at the base of the of your spine, you have your root chakra, and then next you have your sacral chakra, then you have your solar plexus chakra, then you have the heart chakra, the throat chakra, the brow or the third eye chakra, and then you have the crown chakra. And so Reiki works um with the the chakra sense system, like I said, and you know, focuses on those main seven chakras. And um, so yeah, and as I shared, the the next episodes will be focusing and learning more about each of the chakras. So I hope um yeah, I hope that this has been informative. I hope that you have learned something. Um, and like I said, if you've learned something, keep it. Use it great. And if you haven't learned anything or nothing was useful for you, that's great. Great too. And thank you so much for being here, starting this journey with me. Um yeah, out here on this podcast. And yes, in in the in the name of love. And so now I want to move on into, as promised, into a Reiki experience.
Holy Love Distance Reiki Meditation
SPEAKER_01Okay. And so Reiki can be experienced through distance Reiki, which is about is what we're gonna do. And so I'm gonna lead you through a guided meditation, okay? And this is uh called the holy love experience. Um, because yes, love always podcasts, love being wellness. Uh did you did you know I wanted to talk about love? And so, um, yeah. So if you want to join me in this Reggae experience, please do. Now, I don't well, I I don't I don't really recommend this while while driving. Like, I I I'm not gonna say I don't recommend this. Like, you can listen to this Reggae experience while driving. You could, but you you know, you want to stay awake and alert. You can you know, can help to get you in a meditative state, if you will. Okay. Um you know, for dare I say for optimal use, it's nice to like be home in a comfy space. Maybe that's you know, it doesn't have to be home, you know. You could be laying on the ocean with the sand, you know, just somewhere where you're where you're feeling good and you're comfortable as we go into this experience. Also, I I like to journal a little bit before going into experiences. Um so if you want to journal or if you just want to answer these questions out loud in your head, like just complete these sentences. Um, I encourage you to do that. And if if not, like if you're like, no, I don't want to do that, yeah, no, not interested in that. That's cool too. You know, again, do what is best for you. You know what's best for you. So whatever feels good to you and for you. So I'll give you a moment to gather anything that you need to get comfy if you're getting comfy, um, if you want to get a journal, because you want to do some writing. And so there's six statements. And you're just gonna complete the statement. You can write as much or not as much as you want. Like I said, you can just complete the things in your head. I'm gonna have some background music playing. Uh, like I said, I'm gonna redo and do uh guided meditation, and this will last about 15 minutes, and then I'll come back on at the end. If you are designing a journal, you may want to keep that journal next to you in case there's anything you want to journal about when you come out of your experience. Um and yeah, yeah, let's do it. Let's let's do this. Let's let's have this experience. So, um, I'm gonna go ahead and start the music now. And so I just have that playing in the background. Hopefully it's good, you can hear it a little bit and still hear my voice well. Okay. And so take a couple of deep breaths, remembering that, you know, listen to yourself, listen to your body. If if you are laying down and you're relaxed and you feel like you need to move or shift your body, go ahead and do that. Listen to your body, listen to your body. So take a couple of deep breaths. You can breathe in your nose, out your mouth. You could do that a couple of times. Just relax, relax. Imagine it's a beautiful sunny day. Imagine you are walking through a beautiful forest. As you breathe into yourself, imagine you are breathing in the life essence of the forest. And with each step you take, imagine the energies of the earth are flowing up through the bottoms of your feet. As you walk along, allow yourself to experience the trees, plants, flowers, and grass, and to merge with the life and the harmony and peace of the forest. As you continue to walk along, you notice that up ahead it is getting lighter, and you realize you are coming to the edge of the forest. As you leave the forest, before you is a beautiful river. It is the river of peace. There are beautiful flowers growing along the riverbank, and there is a path following alongside the river. Follow the path alongside the river. Eventually, you come to a bend in the river. There is a light breeze blowing, causing the surface of the river to have small ripples. The sun is shining off the rippled surface of the water, creating a glittering, shimmering light. You realize this is no ordinary light, but is a spiritual light coming from the highest heaven. You allow the light to enter your soul. Allow the light to guide you. Take a few breaths, bring your awareness to your eyes, and slowly open your eyes and come back.
Closing Blessings And What Comes Next
SPEAKER_01I trust. I trust that it has served you. Yes, I trust that it served you. And and your eye is good. And I thank you for for being here with me, for for listening. And yeah, thank you. Thank you. I'm so excited that you're here. And I am sending you infinite, infinite, infinite love, blessings, peace, more love. Oh love in always. Always. Always. I look forward to um you know, continuing the whole space and and uh taking the next seven episodes, taking a deep dive into each of the uh seven main genres I look forward to seeing them.
