Sacral Chakra Reset

Pleasure, creativity, and honest emotion are not luxuries, they’re signals. Today I’m focusing on the sacral chakra (the second chakra), an energy center in the pelvis that’s tied to joy, intimacy, feelings, and the ability to let life move through you instead of getting stuck. If you’ve felt numb, tense, creatively blocked, or strangely disconnected from what you want, this conversation gives you a grounded way to understand what might be happening and where to start.
I share the core sacral chakra themes, how it can look when this chakra is out of harmony, and what it feels like when it’s in flow. We keep it practical with simple sacral chakra healing supports you can try right away: grounding through the root chakra first, wearing orange, eating orange foods like sweet potatoes and pumpkin, working with crystals such as carnelian and moonstone, and using essential oils like ylang-ylang, orange, sandalwood, and rosewood. We also work with the sacral affirmation “I feel” and explore how words, journaling, and daily reminders can reshape your relationship with your emotions over time.
Then we settle into a guided Reiki practice for the sacral chakra. Using breathwork, a short set of reflective statements, and an orange moon visualization over the pelvis, I help you soften, receive, and reconnect with your body. If you’re looking for Reiki, chakra healing, energy healing, emotional wellness tools, or a gentler way to come back to yourself, this is a beautiful place to begin. Subscribe to the Love Always Podcast, share this with a friend who needs more flow, and leave a review so more people can find this work.

Why The Sacral Chakra Matters
SPEAKER_01On today's episode, we have the second chakra. If you have been following along, you know that last week we started with the root chakra, which is the first chakra, the lowish chakra. We are moving on up the chakras. We are now at the second chakra, the sacral chakra, which is also known as the pelvis chakra, or the naval chakra, or the sex chakra. Let's talk about sex, baby. Let's talk about you and me. Let's talk about all the good things and the bad things that may be. Let's talk about sex. Come on. Let's talk about a now. We're not gonna talk about sex. Okay, but you know, uh, I love to sing a song. It is the Sagral chakra, it's about joy, it's about pleasure, it's about creativity. So, yes, move your body, have some fun. You are allowed to have fun, you are allowed to have joy. Yes. So, here, as you know, I do like to share Reiki at the end of the episode. So, if you are just here for the Reiki, you can go straight to the Reiki. We are focusing on the sacral chakra in this Reiki practice. Just a reminder that Reiki is a Japanese technique for for relaxation that promotes healing. Rei is universal life force, higher consciousness, love, God. Ki is the non-physical energy that flows through everything. That flows through everything.
Reiki And Chakra Basics
SPEAKER_01We're talking chakras. Remember, chakras, there's over a hundred chakras in the body. The ones that we see and hear and are most familiar with are the seven main chakras. They are energy centers, right? They're bundles of nerves gathered along the spine. And so sometimes these bundles of nerves they can get stuck, right? We want to keep the energy flowing through those nerves, and Reiki is a supportive and helpful way to do that. And so we have the second chakra today. We have the sacral chakra.
Signs Of Imbalance And Flow
SPEAKER_01The sacral chakra is connected with the color orange, it's connected with the color orange. So if our sacral is out of harmony, we may have some difficulty expressing our feelings, we may feel out of touch with them, we may feel out of touch with pleasure, or we may be holding to holding on to unprocessed anger. Maybe you feel you might feel stifled in your creativity or resentful for not being able to birth our ideas into the world. When your sacral plexus is in harmony, right? When it's in flow, we are more in touch with pleasure, we're able to express and share our feelings in a healthy way, create and maintain healthy relationships, have great creative expression. Our sacral chakra is developed between the ages of seven and fourteen. This chakra creates our core beliefs about ourselves and the world around us. It also creates our emotional safety in the world. Some people may feel physically safe, but could be emotionally hiding. This chakra is also known as the intimacy chakra. In to me see. In to me see. There's a strong connection to our emotions, eating habits, self-control, creativity. And so, yes, let's talk about some things, some simple things that we can do to support our sacral chakra.
Grounding Before Sacral Work
SPEAKER_01One thing I am thinking of is remembering that we worked with last week the root chakra, the foundation chakra, right? And so it is nice to work up the chakras, right? To work up the chakras. So perhaps getting grounded before focusing on the sacral chakra, making sure that we're getting that energy flowing through through our root chakra. A easy way to do that is to perhaps get your feet in the grass. I feel like that's the quickest way to ground yourself is bare feet in the grass. Also, some deep breaths in and out the nose, getting connected to the body, right? Making sure that you are in the body. Okay. And then we move up then to that sacral chakra that is in the pelvis area, that is connected to our reproductive system, to the womb, to the pelvis, the bladder, the hip area, the kidneys. So as we are thinking about that, that area, this beloved, beautiful sacral chakra, and thinking of some simple ways to support the sacral chakra.
Orange Color Food And Crystals
SPEAKER_01Wearing the color orange is one of the simplest ways to bring the chakras support is wearing the color of the chakra. As I've mentioned before, you could wear orange undergarment, right? Any of the color of the chakras we've just talked about the root so far. So red for the root, orange for the sacral. You could wear an orange shirt. You could paint your toes or your nails orange. Simple, simple way. Another simple way to support the sacral chakra is through the foods that you eat. Think orange foods, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, peaches, tangerines, pumpkin. Oh, pumpkin is my favorite. Pumpkin is my favorite. I actually was pregnant with both of my children during pumpkin season. And, you know, how significant we're talking about the sacral chakra where my I carried my children in my womb, right? And it was pumpkin season, and it was one of the things that I really craved. So that was supportive to my to my sacral chakra at that time. Oranges, mangoes, carrots, melons, nuts, seeds. I love to use stones or crystals for support. Some stones and crystals that you could work with. You could have them in in your room, in any of your in the rooms in your home. You could wear them as jewelry on your body or put them in your pocket. Carnillion, Onyx, Amber, Moonstone, Sunstone. The affirmation
Affirmations And The Water Element
SPEAKER_01that goes with the second chakra is I feel. I feel. Right? I am. And so then we move up the chakra and we're at the second chakra. And for the second chakra, the sacral chakra, it is I feel. We can work with affirmations through journaling. We can write our affirmations on post-its and stick them in places that we will see daily, perhaps on the mirror, maybe in your vehicle if you drive, on your nightstand, wherever feels good to and for you. Some I feel affirmations. You could work with any words that you would like, remembering that words are powerful. Words are powerful, the power of the tongue. I feel wealthy. I feel playful. I feel joyful. I feel abundant. I feel loved. I feel safe. I feel peace. I feel grounded. I also want to share with you the element, the element that corresponds with the sacral chakra is water. Is water. I always recommend when doing energy work to after after receiving energy work to take a salt bath to cleanse and clear yourself with the water. As I'm thinking of working with the sacral chakra, you can work with water to cleanse, right? To to help to release any emotions. I'm thinking more about negative emotions to help to help those emotions flow through you, making sure that you're hydrating and drinking enough water.
Essential Oils And Movement Practices
SPEAKER_01Lastly, I want to share some essential oils that you could work with to support your sacral chakra. Elong, elong, one of my favorite essential oils, is supportive of the sacral chakra. Orange, which of course it's orange, and so you could use some orange essential oil, rose wood, or sandal wood. And again, you can use any or all of these things however you see fit. Maybe you want to rub the essential oil on different pressure points like your wrists or your neck or your ankles on your body. Maybe you want to give yourself a nice body massage with these oils. Maybe you want to get them in a spray and spray them on the sheets of your bed or just in different rooms in your house. Tune in, get grounded, right? Into your body, into that root chakra, and then tune in and see what feels good to and for you. Another way to support the sacral chakra is through movement, is through dancing, dancing, feeling movement through your body, helping the emotions to move through the body. So turning on your favorite song and just dancing, dancing throughout your house, in your kitchen, in your bedroom, in the shower, while you're driving the car, just really moving that body and getting connected to the body and to the creativity of your body, of your womb. Yes.
Setting Up For Reiki
SPEAKER_01So we are ready to move on to our Reiki. And if you are home or somewhere cozy, maybe you're at the ocean. I'm always ready to be at the ocean. Oh, how beautiful it would be to be at the ocean and listening to this Reiki there, working with the water element that supports the sacral chakra. Maybe you're home in your comfy, cozy bed, or on your couch, or maybe you like to lay on the floor. Maybe you're driving your car. Per usual, I do say yes, you can listen while you're driving your car. You just want to make sure that you're staying alert and aware. I always like to encourage you to answer six statements before we start into the Reiki.
Six Statements For Release
SPEAKER_01You can journal them, you can answer them out in out loud in your head, or not at all. The choice is yours. So I'll give you an opportunity to get a journal if you want to get a journal because you are journaling. Give you an opportunity to get anything that you need to get comfy, cozy for the Reiki session. And we'll go ahead and start with the statements.
SPEAKER_00I feel I need I forgive. I release.
SPEAKER_01I trust I celebrate. So go ahead and get yourself comfortable.
Breathwork And Body Awareness
SPEAKER_01Get relaxed. I want you to start to pay attention to your breath. Go ahead and inhale through your nose. And out your mouth. Again, inhale through your nose. And out your mouth. And start to just notice. Notice how you feel. Notice your body. I'm gonna go ahead and start the background music. So notice how you're feeling, notice your breath, you're inhaling through the nose and out the mouth. And if it feels good to and for you, you can place your hands in your sacral area down in your pelvis area on your pelvis bones, if it feels good to and for you, or not. Do what feels good for you.
Orange Moon Visualization Begins
SPEAKER_01And I want you to start to envision an orange moon. That the moon is orange. Around orange moon over your sacral area. Illuminating your sacral area with its orange light. And notice how that feels. Notice
Reiki Immersion And Grounding
SPEAKER_01the moon, the light of this orange moon is getting wider and brighter, and the rays are shooting down through your legs, into your feet, helping you to feel grounded and connected to your body, and shooting through your sacral area and just beaming you with orange light.
